The dreary grey sky was alit with cherry red pinpricks of light as over a dozen Jai'galaar dropships plummeted from the relative safety of planetary orbit to the barren, snow swept surface of Fenris far below. Violent, unnatural claps of thunder echoed across the white, mountainous landscape as each of the dropships broke the sound barrier, streaking downward like a fiery shower of meteors. The steady rumble of thier engines resolved into defeaning screeches as if a hundred mechanical birds of prey, not dropships, now decended on the Loyalist compound below. Just before impact, the heavily armored transports activated their repulsor drives in unison, jerking themselves upward abruptly before settling down on a densely packed layer of snow and ice. Groups of warriors began to swarm forth from each of the dropships like angry hornets from a disturbed nest, sprinting ahead to form a defensive line. Two bulky transports came to rest just behind the dropships and quickly offloaded their cargo: a portable shield generator to protect the landing site, a number of armored repulsor craft, and at least four repulsor tanks. Within minutes, the landing site had become a fortified beachhead. The swarm of angry hornets that were Separatist commandos advanced toward a maze of icy trenches, welcoming the multicolored hail of blasterfire that greeted them like they would an old friend. The battle for the ice field had begun.

Blaster fire rung out through the field as both opposing sides attacked mercilessly from the safety of their havens. The Loyalist got lucky this first go around and held themselves up in a nifty bunker while Saren and the rest of his brethren were hunkered down in trenches which were less than hospitable.

It mattered not! For these trenches were more than what they needed for this operation and Saren was more over disappointed that we wouldn't be facing the enemy head on. Alas, this what he was supposedly destined to put up with this day. It seems they were at a stalemate as well. Interesting.

Saren then radioed in for two of the tanks that had been off loaded to move beyond the barrier of the portable shield generator as soon as their guns were loaded and everything was in order. On this day, Saren would achieve himself a victory on like any other that he had attained in the past and the bodies of the Loyalist would paint the way.

Cabur was running past several other separatists that was hunkering down in the trenches, trying to keep out of sight from the loyalist. Here and there some fired of a few rounds before taking cover again, a few time had Cabur himself almost gotten his head shot of by the loyalists. A few blaster bolts had scraped his helmet a few times, but none had made a direct hit on him so far. Only glancing the top or the sides of the helmet when he peeked up for a second or so.

Leaning against the trench wall Cabur activated the holo-projectors that was attached to his helmet and displayed a map of the battlefield, using a live feed connected to several troopers helmets. Linking them to create a image of what the battlefield looked like right now, using his hands he navigated through it. Zooming in on some positions which seemed more heavily fortified then the rest, they would have to avoid them.

As he was going to open a channel to a man named Saren a tank hovered over the trench he was, and stopped over it only to fire it's main gun once before moving forward. Probably to join up with the rest of the tanks, but the sound had mad Cabur deaf for the moment. Waiting few minutes once his hearing had returned he opened up a channel to Saren.
”This is senior Lt. Cabur Ordo, do you read me over?” he asked through the com.

Lucius hugged the cold walls of the trench, bolts of so many colors flying by it was like a rainbow passing over him. Only an hour ago the General was here to say hi to his former commander and training spot. He had a history here, a long one, he was trained here, joined the rangers, and learned what it meant to be strong here. He forgot how many recruits he had seen come to the planet only to turn back because they did not have the heart to be a ranger. Lucius considered this place home, and now separatists threatened the safety of the sanctuary, his sanctuary. This did not bode well with the hardened general, he was young, yes, but he was skilled. He had managed to keep the second half of the trenches from falling with his mere fifty men, despite the dozens of separatists charging them, using the bunkers as fire support.

Snow fell upon the former ranger's armor, as bolts hit the trench. He looked around, setting up a com-link to the bunkers, it went through. "Yes, General?" asked a receiving officer while Repeating blasters sounded in the background. "I need a sit-rep on the reinforcements" he instructed loudly, speaking over the blaster fire. He had been promised reinforcements earlier during the battle, there was no way he could hold off the waves of separatists with only fifty men. "Command said reinforcements are twenty minutes away" the officer stated, lamenting the fact that he had to say those words. Lucius cursed under his breath, twenty minutes was a long time to hold. Thankfully the repeaters would keep the separatists at bay, if they were smart. "Thank you, officer" the general said in a soft voice, as he cut the call, keeping the link open just in case.

The General looked down the trench, fifty men hugged the walls firing off there blasters at the separatist. They were mixed bag, most being hardened warriors, while the rest were trainees and guards. The Loyalist held the trench valiantly, not complaining of their situation, instead enjoying it. But Lucius knew they were only men, they weren't immortal he could tell that they were worried. "Hear me, Mandalorians!" the general roared over the blaster fire, as the men looked at him, keeping in cover. "I know you are all worried that you might die, that you might lose. But let me reassure you that if you hold this trench. If you hold this trench, I tell you the battle will be ours and that our names will be forever known as those of heroes to the true Mandalorians and we will forever be immortal. But that can only happen if you hold this trench no matter what comes, no matter the cost. Now Join Me, Fellow Mandalorians, In Immortality!" he roared out, inspiring his men to do the best they can, to be the best, to defeat the enemy.

Blaster fire was met with blaster fire, both sides holding ground. A stalemate, something that needed to be broken in Lucius' mind. He grabbed the private next to him, Titus. "Titus see if there are any Ranger Snipers in the area, get them to fire at the people who look like they are giving orders" he ordered as the general grabbed his blaster rifle and pointed at the enemy trench firing off bursts, and popping in and out of cover. He hoped the snipers pulled through, dead officers would send the separatist grunts into disarray, making the battle much more easier. Lucius sighed, he hoped Cabur wasn't here, he could not fight his brother.

Titus struggled to keep the same pace as Lucius as they ran into one of the trenches together. "I told you we shouldn't have came back here," he yelled to the closest friend he had. It was disgustingly loud, and he was pretty sure Lucius hadn't heard what had said. He hugged close to the ice old wall of the trench, mimicking what Lucius was doing. He yawned. He probably should be doing what the other small group of defenders were doing, shooting towards the enemy, but he knew that soon enough Lucius would give him some task to complete.

He listened as Lucius gave a speech to the small group of Mandalorians that would serve as the defense on the ice field until reinforcements arrived. Titus inched closer to Lucius, simply waiting for a task to do besides returning fire. Oh, how boring. ... And then it came, ""Titus see if there are any Ranger Snipers in the area. Get them to fire at the people who look like they are giving orders." He returned with a smile at first, finally producing words, "Of course General, I will relay the order."

Titus tried to get away from the other Mandalorians shouting and fighting whilst still trying to remain in the safety the trench provided. He commed Command, "Order from General Lucius to Command: All Ranger Snipers in the area are to specifically target Separatist who seem to be giving the orders to the others. Got that, Command?"

"Yes, loud and clear," chirped in a response.

Okay, time to get to work. Titus helped the rest of the group in their attempts to repeal the invading Separatist, if it wasn't for the MG nests they'd probably be gone by now. He returned fire as regularly as he could without tiring himself out, he knew that soon he would have to use that energy elsewhere and now wasn't the best time.

And then, "This is Commander Wolf to all units in defense of this base, we are over run by superior numbers, you have 5 minutes to evacuate, I suggest you do so." ... Are you serious? he thought to himself. Looking to Lucius and the others, he could see they heard the same thing too. Crap. Crap. Crap. No, don't get worried. We are Mandalorians. Mandalorians don't give up. They fight.

"What does it matter!? We are Mandalorians! WE FIGHT," he shouted loudly before Lucius could. He smiled at Lucius, "General, what are your orders?"

The ground moved beneath his feet with a violent shift. A loud doomed rocked his ears. And a large amount of smoke and fire could be seen from where the Command Center was rose up high into the air. "Crap," the word slightly escaped him. Still though, he turned to his General and hopefully the others would take to his example.

"Those orders... General, would be nice," he said with a slight smile struggling to provide it.

Victory was nigh.

Thunderous noises boomed across the fields which streamed down from the mountain. Their glorious leader had brought a devastating blow to the battle and now it was only a matter of time before the end would arrive. The Separatist forces bellowed out with their own vicious battle cries once more, reveling in the moment as they saw their efforts come to fruition. Saren almost thought it pathetic of the Loyalist to have played their cards so, but it wasn't that surprising to him. Suddenly a familiar voice opened up a channel to speak with Saren.

"Ah, I hear you loud and clear, Cabur."

Saren wasn't too good on keeping up with all the military speak, but he realized when there was authority afoot. Of course, he also realized when there were chances about to end things in the quickest possible manner.

"Oh wait, it seems to me that you're breaking up.."

Saren turned to a separate frequency entirely after he was done talking with Cabur. He didn't mean any disrespect by his action, but Cabur was wasting precious time to end their conflict with the Loyalist forces. The new frequency he was on just so happened to be the first he had chosen after settling in the trenches.

"Alright boys, I know those guns have got to be primed and ready. So do us all a favor and take care of that bunker."

The men and women commandeering the two tanks that sat over the Separatist trenches chuckled at Saren's request, feeling more than cooperative with his request. They then simultaneously fired their main guns, regardless of the mediocre blaster fire that smacked against its exterior, putting the mass drivers to the ultimate test to see whether or not the bunker before them would truly withstand their might. Of course, Saren and the rest already knew what would come next. A bitter ending to the Loyalist within and rude wake up call for those who would be pelted by bits and pieces of debris.

Breaking up? What sort of bullshit was that, and then the radio went silent. Cabur muttered something not meant for anyone to hear, before letting the hologram vanish. He was gonna punch that person when he meet him, he needed to make an example of what happens when you disconnect a superior officer. Especially when the officer was gonna relay a tactic to minimize casualties, but how could he have known. No, that's right. He couldn't have known that it was Caburs intention to do so, but still. He would face the consequences for doing such a thing, and if he was to be punished for it. So be it, as long as the man learned his lesson.

Starting to move towards the location where Saren was, a thundering sound echoed over the battlefield. He stopped dead in his tracks and turned around, looking at the explosion that destroyed the mountain fortress. Had they really destroyed the fortress, or had the base commander decided to activate the self-destruct. Either way, it was something that should be forgotten.

-Death comes to us all, death is always present. I will see you again when I join the manda. Cabur said without having his helmet speaker or com-systems online. However this was not the time for mourning the lost, even if they were his enemies now. He could mourn the lost later, and so he would do.

Peeking out for cover he saw how the bunker was blown to pieces, and around him soldiers was cheering for both the destruction of the fortress and the bunker. Turning on the communication systems in his helmet again.

-This is not the time for celebration, there is still a battle to be won. He hollered to them, silencing the men and women that had been cheering a second ago, they needed to stay focused if they wanted to get out of this alive.

Continuing to make his way towards Saren he stopped a good fifty meters later, even if he wasn't close to Saren yet. He stopped here because of seeing a woman that had received a wound at her side, taking a knee in front of her he removed his helmet and moved her hand away from the wound. Looking at it he grinned a bit, the wound wasn't deep. But it was bleeding more then it should, after helping her take of the armor over her chest and back. Cabur started to attend to the wound, cleaning it and laying bandage on it. It wasn't much else he could do right now, he wasn't a medic. But it would have to do for now, helping her get her armor back on he then ordered a soldier to help her back to the drop-site. And to stay in cover at all times, the soldier just nodding before helping the woman up.

Cabur picked up his helmet and watched as the soldier helped the woman get up on her feet, and then starting to make way to the drop-site. Even if he couldn't save all, he could at least help the ones he could. With a sigh Cabur put on the helmet again and peeked out of cover again, only for a second before ducking into cover again. Pulling out his rifle he peeked out again and fired of a few rounds, most of them missing but a few finding their targets. Before taking cover again.

((Listen to this while ur reading))
Lucius kept firing as Titus relayed his orders, his aim held true, taking down several separatists. Once Titus was done, Lucius gave him a nod of confirmation, him and the private kept holding the line. Thats when the transmission came in, a female voice, one Lucius remembered Jenna, no that couldn't be Jenna. Jenna wouldn't suggest a retreat, that wasn't the Jenna he knew, but alas it was true. Lucius felt like crying, he felt lost, betrayed, but he knew his men felt the same. He must not show weakness not now, he must be a paragon of courage and mandalorian strength. Lucius looked at his men, his hearing weak, they were defeated, their stature was weak, they no longer held up their rifle with courage. He heard Titus cry out, he was right they were mandalorians, no retreat. That was the moment when he opened a comm channel to all loyalist forces.

"Mandalorians!" he yelled "Listen to me! As a superior officer I revoke those orders! No retreat! We are Mandalorians, the true mandalorians! We will not turn tail to these dogs! Do not let Jenna's sacrifice be in vain! Fight with honor! Do not die like dogs, no! Die facing the enemy! Die with honor! Carve your names in history with blood! Be known as legends! Do not be a footnote in history! Do not be cowards! The Separatists think they have won! Show them different! Show them how true mandalorians fight! Follow me into Hell! Oya!"

The General cried, his men given new hopes, the base exploded behind them, they did not care they were mandalorians. Lucius jumped from the trench, followed by his platoon of forty five men, met two tanks and a hail of blaster fire. He did not flinch though neither this his men, they charged on, under the cover of five MG nests. The enemy tanks readying to fire, they did not make it to loading before they were hit by an incoming tank shell. Reinforcements had come, one hundred mandalorians came crashing down to the trenches to reinforce Lucius' platoon. The men cried out in joy, a few throwing demo packs into the enemy trenches before exploding them, killing those inside.

Separatist blaster fire tore through the platoon killing many. Lucius could see them even in there last breath, shooting, shooting for honor. Some even got up after being shot, continuing to charge.. The General shed a tear of joy and pride before he himself was shot in the arm. Lucius cringed in pain, grabbing his arm as he lost balance. The snow greeted him coldly as he fell, the blood staining the white blanket. He felt numb, he had dropped his rifle, but no this was not going to stop him, he got up slowly picking up his rifle and his honor. Standing looking at the trench, then he slowly began walking into the enemy trench, reuniting with what was left of his platoon, the reinforcements coming close behind.

Lucius jumped into the trench, met by ten of his platoon who had survived, including Titus. The other ten men had entered at the other side. Lucius looked at the battlefield, there were more trenches to go, but they had to start somewhere. He looked at his men and ordered them to clear the trench. Turning to Titus he said "Koyaci!" as he made his way through the trench to clear out the remaining Seps.

Titus followed Lucius as he charged. And charge Lucius did, This man is more like a machine Titus thought. As they charged, he watched as brothers fell dead beside him but he didn't let it bother him. He focused on reaching the next trench and dropping into its relative safety. Hopefully with some fellow Mandalorians there to help him clear it out.

He was running close by Lucius when a shot connect to his favorite General, and he watched Lucius plummet to the snowy ground. Titus attempted to stop so he could check on Lucius, but he was going to fast and fell into the enemy trench without knowing it was there. He hit hard onto the bottom of the trench. Other Loyalist from Lucius' platoon dropped in and helped him up, there were ten including Titus and he just stood there.

He didn't want there to be just ten. There couldn't be just ten. Titus dropped down onto one knee so he could rest for a bit, turning to the others he said "Let's give the rest of them a few more seconds before we start working to clear this thing out." He pushed against the wall of the trench, wanting to go back up to find Lucius but knew it would be a stupid thing to do.

And then Lucius dropped into the trench. Thank the Gods thought Titus with a large smile. Lucius gave a new set of orders, clear out the trench. And as they began to do so, Lucius turned to Titus and said "Koyaci!" just as the reinforcements they were promised dropped into the trench. "Okay, let's kill some Separatists shall we?" Titus followed Lucius' lead and stuck by him, doing his part to clear out the trench.

Saren was rather disgruntled about the ground they had lost to the Loyalist forces as they forced his brethren into the snow as corpses. In fact, he was overall becoming disgruntled with a great deal of things. Their line of tanks were now nothing more than burning wrecks that had become testaments to the Loyalist's efforts. In all honesty, Saren was wondering when they would put up a proper fight and it couldn't have come at a greater time. Saren then opened the final channel to the remaining tank that sat behind the shield generator.

"Prime that main gun of yours and swing right of the field. I want to see that bunker taken care of and use the rest of your armament to pin down those Loyalist within the trenches."

The tank then roared with its engines as it pulled about the wreckage as its main gun began charging, quickly finding its target beyond the smoke and flames of combat. Within nearly a minute, one bunker would finally be left to be conquered by the Separatist forces and they would be victorious. Not before the Loyalist had a rude wake up call though. As the tank pulled about the field on their right, all five of its laser cannons lined up the Loyalist trenches from at least seventy yards away. They wouldn't be able to pin point each and every Loyalist's position exactly to make every shot count, but either rising above the walls of the trench to return fire or being unable to find adequate cover would spell out certain death. The first would be entirely easy to do, but the second would only be up to whether or not they spot the imminent danger. Of course, that would be rather easy wouldn't it?

Watching a tank roll across the snow from afar is simple enough, but having the time to do anything about it as three hundred or so men are firing the blasters across the field at you would be troublesome. To make matters worse for the Loyalist, Saren had an even brighter idea.

He gathered his own small squad of men together, approximately four in all excluding himself. The plan was simple, they would set themselves up a small mortar post. Mostly the duty fell to Savos, a demolitions expert with a track record of making a mess of things whenever he got his hands on explosives.

"Alright Savos, if we can get that mortar set up, we can pelt those bastards out there with enough explosives to keep them in their graves. We'll have your ammunition to be ran back and forth from beyond the beachhead."

"Sure thing, boss. Just keep my ass covered, will ya'? I'd hate not to see the aftermath of my work."

Savos was a witty, hulk of a man who enjoyed his profession and enjoyed it even more so when he saw his dirty work first hand. Then with a nod and thumbs up, Savos picked up and left with the rest of his boys back to the last line of the trenches where they had already began construction of the the mortar. It'd only take a couple minutes, but such time was precious for all of them.

Cabur sighed as he saw how their tanks was blown to pieces, now the only tank left was the one back at the drop-zone. And hopefully they would keep it there until it was needed, they did have to win this battle with a swift strike now. As the loyalists had decided to charge them, maybe not the trench he was in. But a trench further ahead of his position.

The second trench closest to their bunkers was now under attack by the loyalists, and would probably only delay them for a short amount of time. But it would be enough for his plan to be set in motion, he wouldn't call upon the tank yet. It would be saved for the finishing blow, but never the less. Plans never went as you wanted them to, that was made clear as he saw how the tank took of from the drop-zone. Going to the right of the battlefield, and starting to lay down suppressive fire on the loyalists. Even if it wasn't according to plan, it could help his plan.

Humming a bit to himself Cabur opened up a channel to the drop-zone and ordered to get a hold of two PLC-interceptor sergeants, and three drivers of the APC's. After waiting for only a minute of so, he heard all of the men reporting for duty via the com-unit in his helmet.

- Okay boys listen up, Doyle, Marc and Tyron. You three will use your APC's to cover up Isacs and Jacc's advance with their PLC-squads. Taking a short pause before continuing telling them his plan of this assault
- You will move your APC's up along these grids coordinates, A1 up to G2. Doyle, Marc and Tyron. You will need to drive in a single line formation to cover the two squadrons hiding on your left flank, at grid A1 you will all fire of a single smoke-grenade to hide yourselves and the PLC's from the enemy sights. Yes I know, they will see the smoke, but not what is in the smoke. At grid C1, you will fire another smoke-grenade, and then the last one at E1. Then you are close enough to move into position at G2, this will only be the APC's that will do so. Once in position, I would want you to lay down a suppressive fire on the bunkers and trenches with your repeaters. All with me so far? Cabur asked them, and waited for their response. As soon as they all said yes he just smiled a bit, even if the didn't see it.
-Good, then let's continue. Isac, Jac. You two will need to hold the same speed as the APC's if you want to go undetected, if you break up to early or show yourselves. This plan will be blown to pieces. As soon as the APC's starts to move into position from F1. You will need to break of from them and increase your speed to get behind the enemies positions, once you have gotten behind their positions use your Heatseeker Missiles to blow their tanks and bunkers to hell. After that you are to take up positions using what ever protection you can find, and fire upon the loyalists from their backs. Do i make myself clear? Cabur asked them, after hearing them all almost scream yes as a reply. He chuckled a bit before giving them the order to start moving out, soon they would claim victory.

Smiling to himself he peeked out of cover and fired of a few rounds, some finding their way into bodies and heads of loyalists. Other rounds just hit the ground or the trench the loyalists where hiding in, only a minute later he heard over his com-unit how Marc gave the order to start moving. Looking back he could see them starting to move out, but he quickly got back into cover again. As he knew this was Fenris, this was the homefield for the rangers. And they would most certainly have sent out snipers or something similar to take out the seps commanders.

The snipers stood at the mountain ridge, lead by Tarka Vor. They were camouflaged and prone, when they received the orders from Titus. Tarak Vor along with the other five snipers began picking off officers, as they were ordered. A few minutes in, one of them noticed a mortar pit being set up and told Tarak. The sniper leader then commed Lucius who answered "Sir, we have a mortar pit being set up, do you wish for us to deal with it?" the sniper asked "Do so" said Lucius as he disconnected the call. Tarak then signaled the rest of the snipers to fire on the mortar pit. The fire produced would be deadly and they had angle where they could see the teams full body, including the leader's. The bullets would pierce armor, and leave grievous, if not mortal wounds. But the sniper team would not stop firing until they were all dead, which should not take long, there was truly no escape nor hiding spot. Plus Tarak and his men were experienced ranger snipers they were trained for this, the mortar team would not survive.

Meanwhile on the ground Lucius was doing his to keep the Sep's at bay. He moved through the trenches making sure everyone was ok and doing well. The general then received a call from Torak, three APC's were inbound under the cover of smoke, along with two squadron of PLC's. Apparently one of the snipers spotted them as they were moving out and saw them use the smoke to cover themselves. Lucius thanked them, after he thought on what to do. He could try to take them, no that would be suicide, and involve a lot of deaths. It would be best to destroy them with what demo packs they had left, but destroy them smartly.

The general grabbed Titus' arm and turned him around "Titus I need you to lead a demo team, for the APC's that are coming" he told the private, knowing he knew of the APC's since he was on the same comm channel as Lucius. "Now I want you to use the demo packs wisely, put them on the front end of the APC. The reason for that is so that the weapons won't be too ****ed up and could be salvaged, while also making them swerve into the PLC's if they are near. I then want you to salvage what you can and bring it back to the trench. You got about five minutes, gather ten men to help you" the general said as he turned away and walked over to his men.

Lucius encouraged his men to hold the trench. If they ran out of ammo, scavenge that from dead Sep's but at all costs, hold the trench. Lucius himself fired at the enemy line, so far it seemed to be a stall-mate. Neither side seemed to take any significant losses.

Just breath Titus told himself. Breath. Reciting the order in his head, he heard Lucus say "Titus I need you to lead a demo team, for the APC's that are coming" over and over again. A sucicide mission. Titus walked through the sea of people, and picked out ten other unlucky people to go with him. Once they were at the edge of the trench he let out a little speech to the squad,

"Some of you may have noticed, we're doomed. Well, we had a chance, a chance to fight these Separatist bastards back and send them packing to Imperial space. Now we have APCs coming this way, and behind those, PLCs. If we don't stop them the defenses we've been counting on then everyone else is doomed. It has been an honor killings Seps with all of you. Now, let's go die a proud Mandalorian death serving Mandalore."

Much to Titus' surprise a cheer was produced by the small crowd. He exchanged his grim expression for a smile. Yes, these would be perfect Mandalorian to die beside of. He and his team were ready, waiting by the edge of the trench for a few seconds with no other reason than so everyone could gather the needed courage. Well, mostly so Titus could. Confident... you're confident Titus. He looked behind him and caught Lucius looking towards him, he gave him a little nod and hoped that Lucius wouldn't be totally destroyed by his death.

He passed around the demo packs, gripping one tightly for himself. He and two others would take the first ARC, whilst another two groups of three would take the other ARCs and if all when well the remaining demo packs would be used to deal some damage to the PLCs. He led the squad out of the trench and ran with them into the smoke quickly, and watched as one of the men were shot down before they were able to allow the smoke to embrace and provide cover for them. Titus would have to return to the man to check to see if he had survived, and to collect his demo pack.

Once inside the smoke, it took a few minutes before he found the ARC he was supposed to destroy, and once he did he quickly stuck the demo pack and ordered the other two with him to go around the ARC and use their demo packs on the PLCs. The ARCs had began firing at the Loyalist as best as they could, Titus hoped the smoke clocked them enough. Searching his way out of the smoke slowly, a shot landed somewhat close to him and another shot was immediately fired again and it landed right beside of him. The force brought Titus up into the air and it ripped his armor apart in some places, causing cuts and scraps that blood flowed out of forcefully.

Trying to call out to any Loyalist for help he heard nothing but static in response. His comm had been broken, but that was the least of his worries. Pain nearly crippled him entirely, but he was able to rise to his feet using his rifle as a crutch. He made his way to the man who was first dropped out of his squad, probably one of many by now. He grabbed his demo pack and tried to stand, struggling pretty badly. A shot hit him square in the chest, but his armor held up and he wasn't dead yet, but he was on the ground again. He heard other explosions coming from the smoke, maybe they had completed their job somewhat.

He struggled to his feet again. This is it ole' boy. You're strong. With the demo pack in one hand and holding his rifle unsteadily in the other, he charged towards the enemy trench. Quickly another shot grazed his left side, but it didn't stop him. He continued charging, firing towards whatever was in front of him. Then a shot hit him in his right shoulder and his right leg. He crumpled to the ground quickly, and was utterly crippled by the pain of it all.

This is it, may the Gods embrace me fully.

So it was that the Loyalist's second bunker would now lie in complete and utter ruin as a few stragglers managed to crawl from the fires, clenching to what little life they had left as their burns would take their toll. It wasn't much to look at with this small victory, but now the constant waves of blaster fire coming from the bunkers had subsided with their losses with the exception of the third and final bunker. It was actually quite humorous this final go around with Saren and the remaining tank. He didn't even need to give them an order before its engine roared as it pulled about their recent victims, swinging behind the destruction and finally charging their cannon one final time as its quad laser cannons pelted any resistance that might've been brave enough to challenge them.

..Meanwhile..

"Blasted Loyalist! Ought to be girls with all that sniper fire!"

Savos was none too pleased with the ways things were headed on his mission in setting up a mortar strike. The exact position he had been given was rather well protected with all the gear and crates that had been moved since their initial arrival, but it was damn near impossible to set anything up! One small move and they could kiss their sorry asses goodbye. Then the beauty of it caught Savos' eye as he turned to look beyond the shield that protected their beachhead. It had to have been fate for him to find such a useful tool, but he was more or less skeptical on those kinds of things.

"Alright boys, back behind that shield on the count of three! One.. Oh, just run!"

Savos then tossed and tumbled his way out of cover, being hounded and harassed by the constant barrage of sniper fire coming down from the ridge. The run was a short one and Savos had lost one of his squad members on the way to safe side of the shielding. He didn't stop and he didn't care for the most part, it was one of the many reasons that he liked Savos along with his crude nature to finish the job at all costs. Aboard one of the transports was something that Savos could only dream of using himself, but he had no authority this day in using it for his own devices. His two other squad mates hurried together as they unloaded the weapon into the middle ground of the beachhead, assembling it as fast as they could possibly go.

The tanks main gun had finally charged with only seconds to spare as the Loyalist within the bunker began to return fire with an impressive amount of force as they rallied themselves. Suddenly the tank unleashed its wrath upon the bunker, releasing a deafening noise that pierced the sound of combat to bring attention to itself only for but a moment.

Their weapon was finally ready to be used against the remaining Loyalist forces and bring them to their knees. Standing before them was a 80mm automated artillery gun that would pound those pesky snipers to hell and back before they could give themselves a prayer. Savos then linked the gun to Saren's helmet, knowing fully well that he would've had a better look at that hillside that launched volleys of gunfire onto Savos' squad.

"Alright, boss. What I just linked you to is going put you in control of an artillery gun. All I want you to do is blink twice in the spot that you want this thing to fire at, you got that? We're going to let this shield down and you better prove yourself to all of us!"

Well damn.

Saren had been put on the spot by a man under his command rather abruptly and embarrassing like, but he really needed some guidance with this one and he didn't mind taking orders from Savos for once. Saren then peered out onto the field as the blaster fire continued to knick about the area, causing him to duck here and there before finding his target. All it took was a mere second to blink twice in a rapid succession as he pin pointed the location of the snipers for the artillery gun to fire upon. Savos dropped the shields at the beachhead just in time for the gun to launch three rounds into the air, hurdling them down onto the ridge where the snipers resided. Within seconds they would be blown to smithereens with a practical non-existent chance of survival. Saren smiled beneath his helm as he knew the day had been declared his own.
