Several hours after the orbital bombardment of key military targets on the surface, a massive force complemented by several thousand Mandalorian shock troops descends upon Brentaal IV. In the ruins, an Imperium recon element discovers the entrance to an underground facility. A joint Imperial and Mandalorian strike team has been assembled to enter the facility and secure it.

The strike team will enter the facility and navigate its winding corridors to locate the command center. Some resistance may be met and the Imperial and Mandalorian participant are permitted to control and kill a number of Alliance NPC soldiers so long as they are role-played accurately. Once the strike team has reached the command center, it will come under fire from a squad of GA commandos. At this point, the strike team and the commando squad will engage in a firefight, leaving the PCs on both sides (one Imp, One Mando versus two GA) to fight it out in the midst of the ongoing battle. This is to prevent the NPC forces from being used against the PCs.

The conflict between the four PCs determines the outcome. Should the GA defeat their opponents, the facility can be evacuated and its equipment recovered to aid the resistance elsewhere. If the Imperial and Mandalorian PCs defeat their GA opponents, the facility falls under the control of the Imperium and is used as a forward base, locking down that area.

Mathius shook with shock and fear as he helplessly stared into the hell which had suddenly engulfed his planet. The sky was on fire as the epicenters of the initial bombardments created fires, some of which crawled and wrapped themselves around the numerous apartment blocks which dominated the view from his room. The thick plumes of smoke set the horizon on fire illuminating the night’s sky in a shade of hazy orange.

The young reservist picked up his binoculars and stared out into the distance, looking for enemy movement towards their position. He feared this war, for he knew in the bottom of his gut that they would come for what lay underneath his feet and the enemy were not a lenient foe, he would most probably die.

But he had faith, for the price of these apartments was almost unbelievably cheap for those who had been in the military and there had been another advantage, all residents had been allowed, infact it had been prohibited not to be armed to the teeth, they had been prepared for this situation, the facility must not fall if there was to be any hope.

The Four apartment blocks were built around a square of flat land, a green that had been converted into a beautiful garden with many trees and flowers but also doubled as one of the most secretive entrances into the lair, it was this entrance which had been discovered by Imperial intelligence.

The planetary defense force must of believed that the attackers would not so quickly attack a presumably civilian area in the opening hours and that they would strike more conventional targets, but they did not understand the Mandalorian way of thinking and would suffer because of it.

--

Atniir and his men waited for confirmation, their blood was boiling, the adrenaline was pumping and they were ready to fight and die if needs be for their people. It was the moment they had waited for their entire lives; no more would they fight only the traitorous Death Watch, or inferior enemies, they would be killing a foe that had been thoroughly trained and would be motivated to stop their ceaseless advance.

“Orion Vau here, going in for bombing run” this interruption from their intense concentration made some of the less experienced Mandalorians jolt forwards as they anticipated the barrage to come.

“With speed Orion.” Atniir managed to say before the screeching of the missiles made his heart lift as they sunk into each of the buildings and detonated Atniir and his men clung to the wall they used for cover as the shock wave mercilessly consumed all for hundreds of meters.

Even though he had donned the thicker module of Aliit’gam, Atniir was still held to the mercy of the waves which made a chilling sensation run down his spine and all of his back tingled with the un-natural feeling that followed. They had been close, less than 70 meters, closer than any other military force would of liked, even some Mandalorians would of hesitated at being such range, but Atniir had no doubt in Clan Vau’s ability.

What followed next was an incredible creeping barrage from heavy artillery based miles away, it slowly worked towards the remnants of the buildings churning up tonnes of earth as it destroyed what was left of the steel frames of the apartment blocks and pulverized whatever poor souls survived the initial strikes and the corpses of their comrades.

Some of Atniirs men stood up to peek over the wall at the impressive feat of destruction, but not Atniir for he knew what was next, he shouted at his men angrily.

“EARTH SHAKER!”

With that the men dived to the floor and not a moment too soon, for shortly after an unfamiliar thud wrung through the air, the sound of an earth shaker round. The bang dwarfed the other explosions in its size and destructive power. Although being behind cover the Mandalorians were covered in a thick layer of dust and mud.

Jumping to their feet, the Mandalorians then jumped over the remnants of their cover and first sighted the moon like surface that was presented before them, it was an awe inspiring sight. The most impressive creator was atleast 150 meters long, it had been dropped far behind the target to protect Atniir and his men. The huge creator seemed huge in height, and as Atniir stood ontop of it he first saw the dull metallic grey material which shone through the layer of dirt and debris, a flat surface which ruined the perfectly spherical creator

This was the top of the base.

Half sliding, half running the Mandalorians swiftly moved to the bottom of the creator, the Bralor who accompanied the super commandos “Boomer” as he affectionately came to be called stated to prepare the shaped charge, ready for the breach it was at this moment Atniir received the message.

“Verde Atniir, Imperial special forces will be assisting in the cleansing of the facility, this is not optional.”

Atniir felt a pulse of rage surge through his system at this new revelation, but he would never disobey orders and as the Imperial soldiers approached Atniir walked towards the front man and grasped his shoulder with his hand and spoke in broken basic.

“I am Atniir, of clan Vencu.” He said, his thick deep accent hard for many to understand. “We work together, do not slow us down” his emphasis on the words “do not” make it sound almost like a threat. In this moment he felt that actions spoke louder than words, but unfortunately he had to communicate in this inefficient, waste of a language, the adrenaline pumping through his veins stretched his skills in this regard to such an extent, that he shouted for someone to translate.

“Tell the commander here that we are making a breach twenty meters from the traditional entrance, bypassing initial security as the schematics forwarded by the Empire have shown. We should quickly move through the tunnels, for I have no doubt that they know we are coming after our bombardment and isolate any escape routes. Does he think that is a goo-“ Atniir is then broken off by Boomer as he lets off the charge as instructed. Atniir didn't realize the time he spent talking to the Imperial telling him about the situation, but as the breech had been made he cut off the idle chit chat, turning around he saw his comrades looking towards him, running forward he elegantly jumped into the breach and into the battle bellow.

Another battle, another world to be taken, conquered, or sacked, as many might put it. But not Corporal Besand. He knew that the Empire treated well those who respected it and served it, so it was a two way thing. If you disobey, you suffer, if you serve, you get your benefits, one of which is freedom, of course that freedom includes having to put effort into something, but is it not the same for everyone who live in Galactic Alliance space. The only difference being that there good men and women pay very high tax, a large portion of which goes for social help for those who, while capable of doing so, do not work, which seems more than unfair. That, however, was totally irrelevant to the matter at hand.

Usually the sith would be dropped down with parachutes, or left off directly on the surface of the planet. From the actions that followed it would become more than clear that Sair is no ordinary imperial, not even an ordinary stormtrooper. He deemed both presented drop off options as slow and unnecessary, given the fact that the mandalorians, who were to work along side the imperials, were already on the planet's surface, fighting. Instead he, along with his four men, got into an escape pod and ordered the captain to launch them straight to their drop-off point with extra speed.

That was something his men regretted, but still lived to tell the story afterwards. The escape pod crash landed on the far side of the crater, at the bottom of which had been revealed the top of the facility that was to be infiltrated. Sair was the first to walk out of the escape pod, quickly followed by his men, two among who took a moment to take off their helms and vomit, after which they quickly wiped their mouths and rushed up to stand behind their leader.

The corporal was wearing his personalized designated white armor, with red straps. His guns, resting at their proper places, had a slight shimmer to them, as if recently polished and had it not been for his helm, a slight smile would be seen on Sair's otherwise dreaded and cold face, as he approached the mandalorian squad. The leader of the mandalorians took a few steps forwards and greeted Besand, giving him a quick brief of the situation and the plan, part of which on his own and another part being translated by another of the mandalorians, which intrigued the stormtrooper to some extent. Sair responded with a quick nod, just as an explosion filled the air and an opening was made in the facility.

The mandalorians waited for no longer than a second and rushed straight in, which only boosted the corporal's respect for them. He turned to his men only speaking a few words in his cold, dominating voice. "What are you waiting for?" He took out his personalized E26 and charged in after the mandalorians. "For the Empire!" His men didn't hesitate, they knew when to charge. They took out their weapons of preference and rushed in after their strange leader.

As he fell six or seven feet to the metallic floor he had already spotted three enemies reeling in shock and horror, one laid half broken on the floor, his eyes filled with soot and blood poured from his mouth, his jet black hair filled with the fragments of the roof which obviously caused his deep intenal injuries. Another stood but a foot away, back to the wall. Before he could react, Atniir had already thrust the stock of his rifle into the throat of the man, breaking his neck with a disgusting slow cracking noise which echoed through his mind.

Deafening blaster shots roared from Mandalorian rifles as the third man by the durasteel door was shot in the head and died instantly. Atniir pushed so hard with his rifle on the throat of the man that the stock of the rifle was only separated from the wall by a thin layer of skin; the man’s throat had been crushed thoroughly.

One of the younger Mandalorians who followed after Atniir and his leading man shot a round over Atniir’s shoulder, vaporizing the top of the dead man’s head, the remnants of his brain leaked down his face and onto the floor below. Releasing the man from deaths embrace Atniir turned around to sight the situation. Four Mandalorians were in the 10 meter long by 3 meter wide room. The corridor narrowed at the end so only the width of the one meter door was the width of the corridor for a short length, creating a simple but effective bottleneck.

Uroso, a Twilek Mandalorian of young age stared the dying man in the face, he looked into his eyes that were full of pain, full of fear. Atniir knew how he felt, he felt scared, he felt overpowered, this was his trial by fire for the fourteen year old boy. Without thinking Atniir violently kicked the downed man in the head, killing him, war is a brutal business.

The Imperials flooded into the complex, not followed by the Mandalorians who waited for a sitep. It was dangerous and stupid to jump into the unknown in full force, time must be taken, even in high speed situations like this.

The computer expert hacked the terminal with ease as the Imperium had forwarded codes of all basic Republic encryption to the Mandalorian forward units. He downloaded schematics of the base. There were two floors, the first was used strangely as a storage depot of highly toxic materials, supplies in case of nuclear war, and back up droids. It was set up in a square formation, the long corridors spouting off into a variety of rooms, but at the center of the first floor was a huge lift which could carry at least one hundred men fully equipped at once, it was probably used to move heavy equipment.

The second floor however, was not so easy to decipher from this terminal, it was clear that there was something of grand importance to the Republic here, for the codes and complex programs resisted and tried to isolate the terminal from the main circuit of the base, luckily this failed and caused the back up security protocols to isolate power from the floor, cutting off all access from this point to knowledge about the floor below, but also luckily cutting power from the automated turrets pointing at the duratseel door.

“Brothers this is Atniir Vencu preparing to breach, it is imperative for Mandalorian and Imperial units to find exit routes from this facility, they are hiding something here, we must surround and destroy them quickly.” He spoke quickly with authority ringing in his voice, turning to the Bralor he signals towards the door, shouting. “Boomer, blow them a new a***hole”

Boomer ran forwards with the plastic explosives and placed them on the rims of the door, several seconds later there was a breech as the doors flung into the corridor that waited.

Almost instantly a hail of fire burst into the small corridor in which the two forces were waiting. One of the Mandalorians was hit by a rocket propelled grenade in chest and was grievously wounded, as he was dragged up to the surface the Mandalorians returned the barrage by throwing thermal detonators into the much larger, and wider room.

The Imperial troopers propelled grenades from their rifle around the corner into Republic lines and as the panic and confusion engulfed the enemy Atniir made the order to charge. He had no doubt in his armors ability to see him through this, and as he ran into the room shooting wildly at the heads of the enemy he spotted through the smoke he heard his allies screaming in unison and saw their shots filling into enemy positions.

Directly parallel to the door, 20 meters away was a machine gun which helped suppress the advance, Atniir needed to make sure that no Republic trooper could reach it again and cause heavy casualties in the kill zone. Running forwards the Mandalorians came under heavy fire but as they jumped into the enemy lines they were quickly overpowered and the first line of defense crumbled sending those who were on the peripheries of the original defensive line into full retreat into the corridors.

Atniir admired the situation, the thrill of the moment, the power and the glory. But this was just the beginning, they needed to preform several objectives in order to secure this first floor, he needed the Imperial help, like it, or not.

Yet he had been impressed with how they had handled themselves thus far, they had not panicked in the chaos, they had fought, fought like true warriors, perhaps they were kindred spirits?

“Commander” He said to Bessand firmly. “We have an idea, we need to secure this floor. There are two different ways to follow the corridor, each with different rooms. We feel the command centre is downstairs and we must be able to secure this floor to bring in reinforcements and defeat the enemy beneath our feet.

We will secure the backup power source for this floor and eliminate the eastern side, we want you to capture the chemicals and eliminate the western side, hopefully we can pour the material down the vents leading to the floor below and gas them before we make our assault.”

Into the chaos caused by the break of war, Besand had followed the lead of the mandalorians, as his own men had followed him. It wasn't long before first blood was drawn and it was the enemy that bled. For a short time many resistance troops had been brought down, but soon enough a larger defensive force made an appearance. They managed to stall the united infiltration team and even killed one of the mandalorians and injured one of the stormtroopers.

During the battle, Sair, had followed the example of the mandalorian leader and had charged behind him, providing him with cover fire, while he made his way to the enemy lines. The battle was short, but time had been wasted and with every second the preparation and readiness of the resistance would become greater and greater.

While Besand listened to the plan, displayed by Atniir, the injured trooper took a moment to bandage his wound, which was on his right arm, his strong arm. He could still use a blaster pistol, but his rifle was just too heavy to be held in one hand, so he left it behind, believing that it would only slow him down. When that occurred, the corporal had just finished listening to the plan, so he took a moment to address his subordinate. "Pick up that rifle, private. You are NOT to leave your weapon behind. If you think it is useless because of your injury - it isn't. It can come in handy in more ways than one."

After hearing those words the private quickly picked up his weapon and took his place next to the other two. Had it not been for his standard issue helmet, everyone would have been able to see the shame written upon his face. Sair noted that he should address that matter later, so as to assure that the private's performance isn't worsened due to having been scolded in front of everyone.

The corporal once again turned to his counterpart of mandalorian background, only to confirm his agreement with the plan, for it was a good course of action, but he had one thing to add. "I suggest we put our commlinks on the same encrypted and secure channel, so we can keep communications between the groups up at all times." With that Sair would adjust his own commlink and give the information for the channel to his subordinates as well as to the mandalorian squad. He saluted the mandalorians and led his team towards the western part of the facility, where the chemical room was located.

He let the three uninjured privates take the lead, as they were good in hacking systems and opening blast doors, while Sair slowed down his pace a bit so he could stand next to the injured private and talk to him in private. "Private Trim, you should not feel ashamed by your mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, rather you should motivate yourself to perform better than the other three privates from now on, despite being injured and thus prove your worth."

Their conversation was interrupted by one of the other privates, who was also the youngest and probably most promising in the team, who notified the team that there were hostiles in the next room. That private was nicknamed Greenhorn, for despite his capabilities and knowledge, he had near to no combat experience and thus was considered to be "green" by his comrades.

Sair issued orders and everyone took cover behind crates, or on the sides of the door. The injured man found a way to place his blaster rifle on top of some crates and remain undercover, whilst being able to aim well and shoot and all of that without having to hold any part of the rifle, aside from the trigger and the very back end of it, which was propped on his stomach. He thought he might receive an injury from the backlash of the firing, but he knew well enough that his armor would protect him from serious harm, unlike the enemies he would fire upon.

Sair was the only one who hadn't taken cover. Instead he stood still in front of the door, waiting for everyone to take their places. The moment they were all prepared, he gave the order and had his men open the blast door. The moment the doors cracked open, he threw a smoke grenade through them and by the time the doors were fully open, grey clouds had engulfed the next room, as well as everyone within it.

For a normal man it would be hard to see in such thick smoke, even with a visor at his disposal. Sair, however, was smarter than that. He activated the heat sensors on his visors and rushed into the room, taking out his E26 blaster rifle. He quickly shot down a few of the enemies. He didn't have to fire many rounds of shots either, but he soon came to realize that the rest of the room was empty. It was quite logical that the enemies would rush to find clean air, where the rest of the stromtroopers would be awaiting for them.

The corporal was correct in his calculations. His men had managed to take down the rest of the hostiles and he could see it through the smoke, but he did not dare approach the first room, for he knew that he would be fired upon on first sight. Instead he waited for the ventilation system to clear the smoke and once it did, he showed himself to his subordinates. They picked themselves up to enter the second room. The fire alarm was clearly malfunctioning, for the smoke didn't start it, which was unfortunate, for Besand thought it would bring more fear into the hearts of his enemies.

There were a total of no more than seven bodies. Three were the consequence of Sair's shooting and the other four had tried to run away, only to enter the death trap waiting in the room with fresh air. The action, however, didn't end there. The stormtroopers were caught off guard when the blast doors leading to the next room suddenly opened and a squad of nearly ten resistance fighters entered the room. The injured stormtrooper was lucky enough to close to cover, which he quickly got behind and took out his blaster pistol. The one called Greenhorn fired a few rounds, taking down two enemies, after which he took cover as well. The other two imperials, were not so lucky to survive.

The first to fall in the new battle was an imperial, shot in the back of the head. He stumbled on the ground, after which the others burst into action. The fourth stromtrooper managed, much like the youngest one, to fire a few rounds, only not as successfully, only killing one of the enemies and paying for that with his life, which was taken by two shots to the head.

Sair was the quickest to act. Before taking cover, he managed to throw a grenade behind the enemy lines, with which he wanted to draw them inside the room. The grenade, interestingly enough, was a fake, for it didn't blow up. The resistance fighters, however, did not know that and as soon as one yelled out the distinguishing word for the item thrown, they all rushed forwards, while putting down their weapons, so they could run faster. Just the thing Besand was hoping for.

"Now!" The sound of the corporal's voice was all his surviving men needed to hear, they, much like him, came out of cover and brought fire upon the running enemies, quickly bringing them down to the ground. It was a quick fight, but not one without casualties, like Besand would have liked. He decided that they had gone far enough and he needed to contact the mandalorians and check on their progress. Being more cautios this time around, he had his men take cover, as did he.

Sair to Atniir - "This is corporal Besand. We have successfully cleared the first two rooms of the western wing and if I remember correctly, the next room is the one with the chemicals. On the downside, I've just lost two of my men. Another one is injured, but I believe we will handle this last room without any further complications. What's your status?"

The leader of the imperials had a plan on how to approach the next room, but before setting it into action he would wait to hear from his mandalorian counterpart, as it was crucial to know the situation on the other end of the facility and communications between the teams to be kept active at all times, for the infiltration plan to be carried out properly. While waiting for an answer, the corporal stripped his dead men of their commlinks and took the ammo for their weapons, after which he destroyed their weapons, believing that if the mission would fail, they should leave as little imperial technology behind, as possible.

The Republic was reeling, screaming in agony, but It was superficial for he knew the bulwark of the defense was below. He knew that each strike, each death was but a precursor to the battle which awaited, this was just whetting his appetite.

As he ran down the corridor the first door stood open, a dark room awaited, a simple trap, no matter. His suit had infa-red vision and he could see the enemies as they waited behind the door. There were two, one behind the door and one in a closet, the barrel of his gun pointing out.

He made the signal to his men to carry on to the next room without him as he charged blindly forwards, increasing the pace. He waited till his foot was
in the door so the man behind it could not snap it shut once he realized he had full vision before shooting a round at the man in the cupboard, the shot reflected slightly off of the metal and skimmed the top of the man’s head, he opened fire hitting Atniir in the chest.

Now Atniir felt like a god as his Beskar reflected the rounds, he shot a grenade into the cupboard killing the man instantly, the enemy behind the door thought he had not been seen, and waited for Atniir to turn around so he could attack.

Slowly walking backwards Atniir dropped a remote detonated grenade into the room and slammed and held the door shut, there was a moment of silence before the soldier screamed as he knew what was happening, pressing the switch the explosion killed the remaining soldier and severely damaged the door almost giving Atniir a fright.

He could hear the fighting that ensued, his brothers were just ahead fighting the remenants of the republic force, he heard that they were retreating to the elevator, going to bolster the defense bellow, that could not be accepted.

“Brothers, is the generator in the room you fight in, or the remaining room after this?” He asked with a smug voice.

“Atniir it is in the room after this, hurry before they can escape and bolster the defences !” the commando screamed as he returned fire.
Running down the corridor he was not sighted by the Republic forces which had his comrades pinned down, he ran to the last door at the end and blew it off its hinges, inside were a protocol droid, a female Twilek engineer. The droid unexpectedly sprayed a thick jelly like solution of chemicals onto Atniir which combusted setting him alight. Enraged he shot the droid in the head deactivating him permanently, the Twilek swung with her vibrosword at the flaming Mandalorian who had to use his rifle to deflect the blow.

Flames spread around his body till he was completely on fire, he was not concerned but he knew the mix was strong for the fire smelt like a refinery, the impurities of his suit evaporated in the air, the temperature in the room drastically increased as the concoction reached its climax setting most things including the Twileks clothes on fire.

She screamed and dropped her weapon trying to slide underneath the Mandalorian to safety, to no avail. He angrily stamped on the woman breaking her ribs and immobilizing her. Through his visor he could see the most disgusting sight as the woman choked on the fumes, her skin melting off her skull, as her once pretty face as she started to become unrecognizable. He shot her in the head to put her out of her misery before deactivating the generator by shooting it repeatedly. He then poured the concoction over him till entire armour was engulfed in the jelly, it burnt violently and he could hardly see through the flames. He had become the Avatar of death.

Walking into the corridor the flames that emanated off of him seared the roof and ignited anything that was willing. Every step left a part of the corridor seared and black. As he ran to his comrades he could see the fear in the Republic soldiers eyes as the figure of molten steel (and the still cool beskar) stormed into the room sucking the oxygen out of it. Raising his rifle he shot the first soldier dead, then another, then another. They had not expected an attack from behind and the nature of what they were seeing made them forget the situation they were in, sensing the weakness the Mandalorians jumped from cover and advanced shooting those who remained.

Without a word they left the room, following Atniir towards the elevator where some worried technicians were trying to get it desperately to work, the power outage confining them to an early grave. By this time Atniir was no longer on fire, but his heart still burnt with a passion and as he saw them he had no grudges against ending their lives no matter the pleas that escaped their doomed lips.

Atniir got confirmation of more Supercommandos flooding into the facility, once the ground floor had been liberated. Imperial special forces aswell, it was a strange sight, but Atniir had a feeling he would be seeing this on more than one occasion.

“Alright men, listen to me.” He said quietly, waiting for his ally to arrive. “Bellow they wait for us, I have no doubt they have weapons aimed on the elevator, that is why we are going to strike on two fronts, firstly we are going to use the vents going downwards, we are going to blow wide open so we can slip our boys through, and work themselves gently and quietly down.. If that is possible.

I am receiving more information about the layout of the second floor, below is a warehouse and laboratory, it is fifty meters long by about twenty meters by, it has unknown variables packed in creates. Beyond that is a thick Durasteel door where the most valuable research and items are kept. Scans cannot see into the command centre itself, but we must destroy all resistance through there.

I have a feeling they are making flamethrowers, or spray, I do not know, but we should use their weapons against them. Boys, pour them into the vents!” The next ten minutes barrals and barrals of the thick fluid are brought to the four vents, they are each at identical distance apart, parralell to the floor atleast twenty feet below.

Imperial and Mandalorian Assault Engineers detonated explosives in unison in the center of the creating four large holes in the floor, then they poured barrel after barrel after barrel of the fluid into the pit below, at first there was confusion bellow before the mixture ignited, spreading throughout the warehouse, the flames rose in height and intensity consistently and the dying screams of a republic marines brought a smile to Atniirs face.

“Men halt the pouring!!” He shouted as the thick black smoke started to flood the upper floor, he thanked god for the oxygen pumps and siphons in his suit, cleaning the air for him. Surprise could still be theirs, for he knew that they would expect them to wait for the flames to recede before an all out assault, they misunderstood the power of Beskar.

Atniir wondered if he misunderstood the power of the special forces armour and if it could sustain such heat and lack of oxygen. He wanted them not to be able too, but a small part of him hoped that they could, and would prove themselves to him.

“Goodbye Corporal, have fun waiting” Putting his arm on his shoulder his voice was full of playful mocking. Barking an order at his men they started to climb separately down the two widened shafts slowly lowering themselves, it was a tight squeeze and they were having hold on, half pushing to lower themelves.

Atniir found himself hanging from the roof, looking into the inferno. The variety of creates were on fire, their goods ruined. But that was not his concern he looked for hostiles, he could see nothing only the huge Durasteel blast door at the end that was almost as tall as the roof and atleast 18 meters wide. It seemed impregnable, but boomer was ready.

Dropping into the fire Atniir rolled on contact with the dirt floor and rolled to his feet, he quickly gave the shout over the coms before his comrades dropped down aswell.

The fire was intense, it was a surreal experience, as the fire wrapped around them they watched the world around them disintegrate. Atniir presumed a large proportion of the Republic defence had been obliterated for he counted atleast a dozen burnt bodies, there had to be more but he could barely see a few feet infront of himself.

His squad made sure the warehouse was clear before signalling to his brother’s ontop that it was safe to use the lift. The initiative had to keep rolling and as Boomer precariously stood on melting metal creates near the blast door to attach the explosives to make a roughly 5 by 5 meter hole through to blast through the Durasteel the Mandalorians waited for the bang to signal the entry.

For a moment Atniir imagined the fear that was to go through the minds of his foes when they realized who they were dealing with. These were not just average Mandalorians, or Imperials. He led the most fanatic, best trained and fearless warriors in the Galaxy most of which had proved themselves countless times before, their deeds are legend to the children of the Republic and Empire and this was to be another to enter the story books.

His vision was interrupted by a Mandalorian on the com link “Atniir, these bodies are just those of average soldiers, those within are believed to be Special Operations.” Special Operations Atnir thought, how, interesting.

Snapping back into reality he turned around and saw the Corporal and his men knelt in the fire as they, for this moment, they were brothers. He shouted over the flames, the unofficial motto of the 501st, arguably the most deadly legacy of Jango Fett. “Gar Verd ori'shya beskar'gam!” (You're a warrior that is more than his armor!")

He looked at the Corporal and he knew he heard him, but if he responded, Atniir did not hear for the scream from Boomer “BREACH !” and the huge explosion which followed and the suction of fresh oxygen into the inferno, from the mouth of hell, they advanced !

After receiving an answer from one of the mandalorians, Besand smiled. It seemed that the two squads were advancing with a good pace. He had no idea what to expect from the next room and there was no way to find out either, but he knew that for a chemical lab, there were probably some strong defenses. He ordered his men to take positions behind cover, after which he moved to open the door, while strapping his blaster rifle on his back and taking out his blaster pistol instead. He didn't want to start some chemical reaction because of a shot gone sideways.

As the door sprung open nothing happened, no sound, no blaster fire. There were two possibilities for a situation like this. The room was either empty and unguarded, which wasn't very likely, or there were defense turrents, that simply wouldn't fire, unless there was a target, unlike a sentient, who put in this position would open fire at the immediate opening of the door, most probably out of fear, or anticipation.

Standing on the side of the door the corporal quickly thought of a course of action. He barrel rolled to the other side of the door, barely avoiding a few blaster bolts. His assumptions had been correct. He did the same thing again, only this times he kept his eyes open to locate the turrents. After pinpointing at least two, he issued orders to Greenhorn.

Siar moved into the room and began running along the wall, while firing at the turrents that he hadn't been able to see before, while Greenhorn moved in after him and shot down the turrents that had been firing at Besand, while he was performing his barrel rolls. There were a total of five turrents and all of them were taken down. Besand had remained uninjured, unlike Greenhorn, who hadn't moved quickly enough and had received a shot to the leg. Private Trim came into the lab and patched the wound of his teammate, while Sair went around the room and placed charges on all walls. The charges were with remote detonation, so if anything went wrong, he could easily blow up the lab and at least halt the Galactic Alliance's operations in the sector. On the other hand, if the mission went through well, the lab would have remained intact and the charges would be safely removed.

With his part of the facility cleared. The corporal returned to the rendezvous point at the elevator, where the mandalorian squad had already met up with the fresh reinforcements. Sair greeted the newly arrived stormtroopers and turned to Atniir with a slight nod, acknowledging the completion of his objective.

The mandalorian began setting part two of the plan into motion, while Sair got to know his newly arrived men. He also ordered the two survivors of the initial squad to stand behind and guard, for they were injured and would only be a burden on the second floor. On the other hand, they were perfect for a defensive position and someone had to stay behind and guard. Greenhorn and Trim agreed with that, having seen enough action for one day. Sair thought about scolding them for not defying him and wanting to join in on the action downstairs, but decided to leave them be, this time around, for someone did have to guard the top floor and it would be simply stupid to leave one of the fresh arrivals, as for the mandalorians, he doubted that any of them would want to miss on the action.

It wasn't long at all before the second floor of the facility was consumed in the flames caused by the fumes and chemicals poured by Atniir. He himself seemed to have been a part of a chemical reaction, for his armor had changed it's color. Sair could only imagine the mandalorian running around shooting enemies, while covered in flames. It was a sight to behold, but the corporal was suddenly snapped back to reality, as the mandalorain bid him farewell.

As if! Not a moment later Sair entered the shaft following the mandalorian and ordered his new men to do the same. He dropped down crouching and rolling forwards, the moment he touched the ground, for otherwise he might injure his knees and back quite seriously. The man had come up straight behind Atniir and was about to move to the side of the mandalorian leader, when his eyes were engaged by a sight to behold.

Flames had engulfed the entire room, but that did not trouble the imperial, for he could easily put out a flame, without fearing the mild pain of a burn. It was the deadly smoke that troubled him for a moment and not so much for his own life, for he had been well trained and had experienced many hardships to earn his title, but for the lives of his men. He knew he would be able to hold his breath, if needed, but he doubted that many of the rest of his men could do so. Either way, he concluded that if they were not prepare to face extreme conditions and unnatural hardships, than they should not be in the STC.

They were going to have to hold through. A smile occupied the face of the man, but remained invisible underneath his helm. He was excited by the situation and overly anxious to meet more resistance, for the current environment raised his heart beat, increased his adrenalin and through that, his lust for blood.

He heard some commending words from Atniir, who had finally noted the corporal's presence. Although, the man did not speak the mandalorian language, he had heard those few words, for they were also inscribed above the entrance of the STC training facility, in which Sair had been trained. The meaning of those words was one he held dear and he was glad that a mandalorian had been the first one to speak them to him.

Bur before Besand could respond to Atniir, an explosion filled the air. A hole had been blown into the door leading to the next room. It was a great contrast, the burning, desolated room, filled with smoke and dead bodies, to the clean and filled with fresh air one. It also illustrated the destruction that the combined forces of the imperials and mandalorians could cause. Sair offered a nod to his mandalorian counterpart as well as to his men. They were all ready to move forwards and engage the next and possibly last of their enemies.

Tammany had been hearing a dull thud sound coming from up above the complex for hours now. Presumably it was the Imps bombing the surface of Brentaal to slag. While she hated the fact that they were doing so, she couldn't really blame them or say she wouldn't do the same in their shoes. Brentaal had tens of billions of people all packed onto the relatively tiny world. That was the urban combat scenario from hell, any commander would've started an orbital bombardment rather than sending his men into that kind of death trap. The base above the complex was probably little more than rubble. Tammany just hoped that it hadn't exposed the entrance to the underground facility.

A much louder thud sound followed by a clang told her that hope was dead. Almost immediately after that she started hearing screams coming from the top floor of the complex and all around the command center technicians and scientists were scrambling to wipe the computers of...well whatever Tammany didn't have a kriffing doctorate and didn't really care much about what the base held. She'd been ordered to help "secure" or "hold" it or whatever nonsense was involved. She didn't know what the Alliance brass was expecting her and the other defenders to do really other than aid in the evacuation. If the Imps or Mando's knew where the base was they'd just keep sending in more waves of troops, assuming this first wave didn't break the defenses. The best course of action that she could see was getting the equipment and people the kriff out of here as soon as possible.

The command center itself was circular in shape and rather large, but not large enough that her own favorite sniper rifle would do much good. All along the outside edges of the room computer terminals beeped away, except for in four places where you could exit the center from. Two of the exits led to conference rooms, one lead to the big elevator just passed the warehouse and laboratory while the last lead to the sleeping and recreational areas for the complexes staff. That area was directly behind Tammany and also had two escape shafts which she had every intention of using if things started to go south. She'd follow her orders, but dying in a hole on Brentaal wasn't high on her list of things to do. Now dying in a hole on say Anaxes or Coruscant or Corellia? That might be worth something, but Brentaal? The only thing Tammany could see of worth about the planet was its location. Other than that it was just another rock to her. The middle of the Command Center was dominated by a large holomap that showed the surface of Brentaal and a bunch of red that Tammany assumed meant nothing good. All around banks of computer terminals offered cover for anyone in the room. Tammany didn't think any individual part of them was rated against blasterfire, but the combined bulk of the terminals was enough to keep most firepower out in her opinion.

"Masks!" One of the techs shouted as he tossed small breather units to everyone in the room. Tammany didn't like masks, but she slipped it on under her thermal hood anyway. It was an underground facility that had a kriff load of toxic chemicals in it, you'd have to be certifiably insane to not want another source of air around somewhere. Around the same time the the Command Center's sprinkler system activated and it was almost as if a light rain had descended over the interior. Apparently whoever was out that there had discovered what some of those chemicals did and was having a good old time with them.

"Error two six two five nine oh nine fire suppression system could not be fully activated" The computer announced in a serene feminine voice. Apparently the bombardment or the explosives the intruders had used to get in had damaged the fire suppression system outside of the command center. Tammany was just thankful it still worked in here, being burned alive didn't strike her as a particularly pleasant way to die. Then the power flickered before coming back on as the tiny emergency generator kicked in, odds are whoever was above them was having a good old time of it.

"They've breached the second floor!" Someone else shouted, followed immediately by most of the troopers in the area rushing out of the command center to hold back the imps or mandos. If Tammany had to guess it was probably Mando's, maybe with a few imps. After all why send the brave soldiers of the Empire to die in a hole on Brentaal when you could send Mandalorians to do it instead! She still couldn't believe the Mando's had been stupid enough to go along with the Imps. They might be great warriors and all, but if a Special Forces Corporal could see they were no more than a tool to be used and thrown away by the Empire, it didn't say a lot for their political brilliance.

She started to rip off some of the floor panels in the Command Center, exposing the sublevel below that was mostly used for maintenance. But now it would better serve as a grenade sump, assuming you weren't stupid enough to stand directly above it after someone kicked a grenade in. In close quarters like this a grenade could turn a lot of people into catmeat regardless of their training. Thinking of catmeat, Tammany couldn't help but notice the massive Kushari sergeant. Tammany didn't know much about him, but he seemed alright so far and he hadn't tried to nibble at her which was always a plus. After pulling enough panels off to make a good sized sump, Tammany pulled the CER78 PDW out of its holder at her side and checked to make sure it was in good working order before ducking behind one of the banks of computer terminals. The compact blaster rifle would do better in the area than her rifle would, and as the fighting was bound to be rather chaotic a little spray and pray seemed easier than more targeted shots as well. The bank she was taking cover behind was closer to the exit leading out to the sleeping quarters than it was to the one leading towards the elevator on the opposite side of the room.

As she ducked down she heard a loud boom, that sounded like the door being blown wide open. If it was the Imps or Mandos would be disappointed for a few seconds, as the doorway leading form that area was more like an airlock of a starship than anything else. It was designed to prevent any of the chemicals from the outside labs or warehouse from getting into the Command Center. Hell, Tammany, was pretty sure the command center and everything beyond was even on a different environmental circuit than the rest of the complex, so nothing nasty would seep in through the vents while everyone was sleeping. But odds are the disappointment would wear off fast, when the breached the second door. She gripped her CER tightly and double checked to make sure no one was in her line of fire before ducking back down the terminal. This was not going to be fun.

No one ever said that being a Kushari Federation Marine would ever be easy. And it sure as hell wasn't going to start now!

Standing straight and getting the soldiers in order DSEG Marine Corporal and Alliance Lieutenant Kajiko Sjet wasn't trained for easy. He didn't go through hellish training back on Damaros in 2.1G gravity just to learn how to shoot in a straight line. He was trained there so that he would never stop, so that he would be able to take on any man, animal or machine that his Commanding Officer or War put in front of him! With a voice of authority, clad in elite Templar armor the massive creature made his presence and command known through the communication system.

"They've breached the entrance to the facility! Assume defensive positions!" And the brave men on the first floor did so. They weren't Kushari soldiers by any stretch of the imagination but they obeyed orders and they bravely put their lives on the line to try and repel the enemy that came to take their home and life away from them. While victory wasn't achieved there, it gave Kajiko time to prepare the second floor for their arrival. He had seen war in many shapes and he knew that the minute that Mandalorians and the Imperials reached the first floor he himself would once again see blood.

Holding his helmet in his hand as the over 7 foot tall Kushari looked around the command center he was tasked with protecting. His cyan eyes and stature inspired loyalty and respect from many of the men, several of which were actually part of the 636th, Kajiko's squad. Sadly his second in command wasn't here at this time, TP was somewhere else at the time, but the Kushari wouldn't allow himself to lose focus because of it.

Using what precious time he had the giant, heavily armed and armored creature, put the time they had to good use. "Alright you guys!" Signaling to about ten rookie soldiers Kajiko gestured towards the elevator door. "Follow me and grab your gear. We've got guests arriving. Wouldn't wanna disappoint them by being bad hosts and not kill one of them, right?" Several of the men seemed to laugh, others smirked while a few simply followed. Motioning over to two men from the 636th to follow as well Kajiko gave the order as gunfire could be heard above them and with each second the enemy came closer and closer to their position.

"Helmets on boys!" Everyone around them obeyed the Commanding Officer that was the Sjet and suited up as a very large door opened that would lead them to the elevator. Looking at the area Kajiko spread the men out evenly to welcome their guests, but that was not all he did! Though a safe line the Kushari addressed the two members of his squad after he gave them his SC40 Demolition kit.

"We won't be able to hold the line with just them. Plant four charges at strategic points of the room and return to the command center. Plant four more in the corridor that they had to take to get to us and join me there. We'll give these sons of bitches a welcoming present to remember."

Turning around the heavily armored Kushari looked ahead, this was war and he couldn't be bothered to allow the opposition any more advantages than they already had. He walked with a certain speed to his step as the Mandalorians made the mistake of taking their sweet time to get down and allowed the Alliance soldiers under Kajiko's direct command to plant the charges.

Four more charges were set outside the room behind a large blast door. Two lines of two charges, the first one 10 meters after the blast door and another one 10 meters after that. With that and the remote fuses set Kajiko had exhausted his demolition pack but he had one hell of a welcoming set up for their friends!

His Mandalorian friends however weren't regular soldiers either as they attempted to throw a wrench into his plans by doing what they did and setting everything on fire in the first room. Luckily the SC40 didn't blow up but the camera feed that Kajiko was going to use to detonate the charges were gone!

He had no idea when to detonate them! However he remained calm despite the situation and addressed every soldier on their channel. "Stay calm everyone. We'll just detonate the first four charges when they attempt to blow up the blast door." His basic was by now pretty decent but still his deep voice, appearance and skill could scare the occasional soldier more than the enemy could ever hope to. Because in all honesty what was scarier than a 600 pound tiger?

A 600 pound muscular tiger with heavy armor, big nasty guns, a keep intellect and extreme military training that could break your bones by giving you a high five. Good luck trying to top that! Still though the Mandalorians did a pretty good job, one had to give them that.

But their progress stopped there as the blast door after the elevator exploded and the very next second four charges went of in the room the Mandalorians were in, each a 10 meter radius. "Ready boys?!? Give them hell!" Given the size of the room there were certain spots that weren't hit completely and Kajiko knew that but his little move would certainly let them know that their advance wasn't going to be easy from here on out.

And several more charges lay in wait for them. "Hold your ground and open fire!" The few bold ones opened fire as Kajiko awaited the reply of their enemy. The time for the real battle was upon them! His M18A9 rifle was ready to tear some armor to shreds!

Welcome Friends! To Hell...

Kneeling down besides the breech in the Durasteel door Atniir looked into the jaws of hell and was momentarily captivated by the situation, disorientated by the blast.

“Silence!” He stated, for he wanted to be thought of as dead, he wanted to inspire more fear into the enemy when they charged from their supposed death. They silently communicated through their headsets (Atniir’s now also synced with Sair’s) a clear picture started to emerge in the heart of the fire.

There was Miranda, now dead, the Twilek was laid on her back, repositioned to a more respectful position, her rifle still in her arms, her visor still glinting with the fire that engulfed her and her armour still flawlessly preserved. Unfortunately her Beskar could not save her from the shockwaves flinging her around like a doll in the hurricane and the awkward fall onto her head broke her neck.

Now from this strike team only three Mandalorians and three Imperials remained for there were two Imperial casualties, or so he was told from the Corporal.

Atniir was not deterred, he was still confident; he did not care for the lost, not there, not then, they had simply marched on. But Atniir was always the colder of the Mandalorian team, Boomer shook with anger, or shock, he didn’t know but Atniir waited for his assessment of the explosions.

“SC40, I am sure.” He stated bluntly, the rage badly suppressed in his deep voice. “Four identical explosions was the give-away and the sound betrayed the brand.” Atniir grunted, he presumed that the inferno he ignited would destroy any explosive surprises, he was wrong. But what this meant is undoubtedly between the Warehouse and the Command Centre lay a menagerie of explosive fun, waiting to make stew out of the Mandalorians.

Ejecting the energy clip and gas canister Atniir replaced them, but this time installed a different type of gas, the deadly Sig gas. Sig in days of old was almost banned for its ability to easily cut through Republic armour, it was a favourite amongst the Supercommandos for its explosive punch, the downside being the fact it almost halved the size of the magazine, but more than doubled its penetrative power. Atniir had “feelings” and it was at this point he had the feeling it would be best to equip this deadly gas, for he felt it was the climax of the battle, the all or nothing moment, victory or death.

He looked at the Corporal and updated him on the situation.

“Corporal, They explosives over..” Atniir was lost for words, his poor Basic stumping both him and the Imperial for a moment as he thought for the words. “They have explosives in room, we need to isolate before we can enter!” The Imperial nodded and signalled for Atniir to move and Atniir did as was asked, he shuffled across the back of the debris, still out of the line of sight. The Republic troopers fired randomly and sporadically into the fire, he was not sure if they were trying to suppress the allies who were deep in cover, could they see ? It was highly likely they knew they were not dead, and was waiting for some sort of retaliation, but what came next surprised even Atniir.

Atniir looked to Boomer and gave the nod as he recalibrated his “Big Ripper”, but just before the Mandalorian could strike Sair had already rolled across the breach with his Destructive Electromagnetic Pulse 2 Ion Carbine unleashing a hail of fire that burst into the corridor striking one or two sticks of the SC40, the ion blast causing them to detonate and thus destroy any which remained. The blast was so powerful in such a small space that it shredded the two Republic soldiers at the door and the blast forced its way through the breech and temporarily parted the fire, like Moses and the red sea. The allies had been shaken once more by the tremendous blast, and apart from the ceaseless burning of the fire there was a respite from the sounds of battle, a temporary haunting silence. Atniir broke it, screaming to Sair.

“GET TO THE DOOR !” His broken basic making him sound terrifying as he gave the order to those outside his command, but Sair knew that the Mandalorian only preached what would save them all.

Atniir jumped to his feet as the Imperials ran into the breach, and fired into the command centre, the doors of which had been severely damaged by the blast, the enraged Boomer screamed unrepeatable insults as the huge Mandalorian shot his Ori'shuk Repeater Cannon into the Command Centre, the large 10mm energy coated slug shells disintegrating in a dazzling array of blue, showering the Republic special forces with deadly shrapnel.

Atniir, back still to the wall brought his rifle around the corner, tight to the wall and when he looked down the scope, he saw a soldier firing wildly at Boomer, too distracted to notice the slight anomaly, he was quite surprised to see he hadn’t been shredded by the storm yet, but with a double tap of the trigger Atniir killed the young boy, a bullet which ripped through his helmet, killing him instantly.

OOC: Sup guys, Harry here. Had permission to use Sair to blow stuff up, killed your bloke cause its going to be 2v2, but do me a favor, when shooting Boomer, just shoot him in the head but it hit in the chest and take him out cause he is now my home-dog and I am not original enough to think of a name better than Boomer, thanks in advance.

The unexpected explosions had caused more chaos in the room, if that was even possible. Some of Sair's men had been caught of guard, but two remained alive. Sair himself had been located in such a position that the explosion didn't do much beside scratch his armor and throw him off balance. Another aspect of the environment, however, had taken him by the throat, literally. The explosion had caused him to loose control over his breathing and thus he had inhaled a large portion of the deadly smoke, engulfing the room.

The corporal quickly ran across the room and took cover next to the blown door, beside his mandalorian counterpart. The fresh air that had burst through the opened door refreshed the soldier. He took a few moments while talking to his comrade to return his breathing to normal. That helped clear his head and he realized that he had actually felt dizzy moments ago.

Having fully recovered he was ready to jump to action. He drew out his Destructive Electromagnetic Pulse 2 Ion Carbine, but before he did anything, he asked the mandalorian to step aside, after which he noticed another one of his men being shot down by the barrage of blaster fire. He had try to take the initiative in his own hands and fire upon the enemies.

The man's recklessness and the enemy's arrogance had angered the soldier. He rolled out of his position, having charged up his carbine and released a large plasma bolt, which landed in the hallway, after the first grand shot, which had surely thrown the enemies off balance, he quickly fired a few rounds of normal ones and took cover on the other side of the door. Not a moment later the explosives placed in the room blew up, having been triggered by the plasma blasts.

A smile occurred on the still slightly coughing corporal's concealed face. He returned his carbine to it's place on his back and instead drew out his blaster rifle. The moment he heard Atniir's scream, he burst into action, entering the hallway and charging across it. He fired a few rounds through the hole in the next door, into the next room, hopefully hitting some of the defenders inside. After which he took cover on the side of the door. He had avoided being hit, but the last of his men was not so skilled, or lucky, for that matter. He received a shot to the head. With the fall of the other mandalorians, it was only Sair and Atniir left. The two of them would have to finish the job.

The corporal crouched, so as to have a better defensive position and to be able to hear and see slightly better than before. He would wait for a moment before undertaking any action, for he needed to determine the number of enemies inside the next room, before creating some plan for him and Atniir to carry out. The peak of the battle was reached. It could go either way and it all depended on the next couple of moments.

Things were moving fast now. One minute there were explosions the next there were screaming Mandalorians, more explosions, gunfire, and bodies. Tammany stayed down for the initial assault, not wanting to get killed from any shrapnel that might've occurred as a result of the entrance to the Command Center getting blown to Korriban and gone. Rather than sticking her head up only to get it blown off, Tammany instead brought her CER78 up over the top of the terminal she was taking cover behind, only exposing her hand.

Without aiming or even looking really she emptied half a clip into the directions where the Imps and Mando's had been pouring through. In training her drill sergeant had called this method "spray and pray" you probably wouldn't hit anyone doing it, but the idea wasn't to hit any of the Imps or Mandos (Not that, that wouldn't be a nice bonus) but instead get them to take cover and stop shooting for a few seconds at least. After that she poked her head up for a second to get a look at the command center and assess the situation.

The center itself was sort of surreal landscape now. The half where the Mandalorian's and Imperials were attempting to force an entrance looked...well it looked like someone had set off a kriffton of explosives and shot it up a little for good measure. The side Tammany was on however still looked fairly pristine, save for the occaisonal scorch mark where a blaster bolt had hit. Here and there she saw bodies and bits of bodies from both sides and fought the urge to not throw up as the smell of well cooked meat started to permeate, even through her gas mask.

As she ducked back down, she grabbed her ESR9 sniper rifle off of her back, and replaced the CER on hip holster. Normally she wouldn't use it, but she hadn't spotted any of the Imps or Mando's in her brief look over the top or anyone else for that matter, and if anyone was going to try to rush her position she was confident she could squeeze a shot off with the high powered rifle before they could get to her. And if one of them popped their heads out from cover? Well they might gaining a new hole to breath out of.

Instead of perching the rifle over the top of the terminal, she layed down in a prone position and brought the rifle around the corner of the terminal, waiting to pull the trigger.

Explosions, blaster bolts, blood and dead bodies everywhere. That was the story of this battle... It got messy on both ends, and neither the Alliance nor their opposition were spared in this one. Taking out Boomer the man who did it was shot, which surprised Kajiko somewhat. But as if she knew what he was gonna say next the massive Kushari saw Tammy take the initiative here and take on the Mandalorian down the hall, pulling out her sniper rifle as she used the computer terminal for cover.

And while those two did their thing another one had joined the battle, a man wearing white armor with certain red designs over it, Kajiko knew the design from the logs they received from the Galactic Alliance a year or so ago. Revealing his intimidating side-arm Kajiko started walking towards the man who hid for cover and would no doubt attempt to shoot some more of the people inside the Command center. What lay between Sair and the kill however were 600 armored pounds of mean muscle.

Approaching Sair's position from behind the door, so the Imperial soldier wouldn't see him the only thing that Sair hear was glass breaking as Kajiko jumped through a big window, breaking the glass easily and landing in the hall behind the human. Pointing his side arm he shoot one of directly in the direction of Sair's leg.

He wasted no time in approaching the man who was most likely focused on the door and how he would take out more lives, well now he had a Kushari gunning for him at very close range, as the massive creature with tremendous force went towards him, launching a punch with force unlike Sair had ever experienced using his free hand, which was aimed directly at the helmet of the Imperial soldier. With his reflexes and motor skills Kajiko wasn't going to leave this to chance, he was either going to incapacitate this man, or he would have to kill him. Though even though they were enemies right now, he preferred the first option...

As the casualties mounted on both sides, the intensity increased dramatically.

For a split second Atniir believed that real resistance in the command center, aft of the first few feet was truly over. However this was a foolish assumption, one that was easily waived after he saw the clumsy barrage of shots fired from the soldier who took cover behind a terminal.

As he stared down his scope, using the synchronized magnifying glass in his helmet and on the rifle he saw the movement of the rifle behind the terminal from whence the original shots were fired. Aiming at her head (taking distance into account), he fired a single bullet, that dipped and drove straight through the top of the terminal, the highly powered Sig round bored completely through it, over her shoulder and into the wall behind. A lucky break for Rina, but as the next events transpired Atniir started to believe that he was the lucky one.

As he aimed again for Rina the huge Kushari lieutenant dominated the peripheries of his vision as he jumped effortlessly through the glass and behind Atniir’s comrade, what a foolish move Atniir instantly thought and what an opportunity.

Atniir and Boomer (who now lay incapacitated and delusional on the floor) had been covering Sair’s (Now about 15 meters away) advance so the huge Kushari was right in the firing line, at point blank range for the Supercommando.

“Haatyc or'arue jate'shya ori'sol aru'ike nuhaatyc!” Atniir’s father said, in the depths of the rainforests of his jungle world and he never doubted his father as he left cover , it all happened so fast. As he left cover the Kushari was turning around to shoot Sair and as the monster squeezed the trigger, so did Atniir unleashing a storm of rounds at the shoulder of the huge opponent who must of been a fool to turn his back on the Mandalorian.

Atniir hoped that the Kushari would be injured, or at least be staggering back to cover for Atniir had little doubt his penetrative Sig gas could cut through his armour like a hot knife through butter, he just hoped that Sair would be alright and that the last soldier would flee after seeing such a close encounter.

He dared not shoot again while they fought, for he didn't want to kill both of them, he was brought to the sniper once more and shot a round at her rifle, trying to shoot it out of her hands.

Sair did not lose concentration for even a single second. The barrage of fire that came out of the command center surprised him. He realized that someone was simply trying to force the invaders into cover and had been successful, for if anyone stood in a line of fire such as that, then that would be the end of him/her.

As the fire ceased there was a short moment of silence, after which Atniir took a shot of his own and just a second later a glass broke behind Sair. Had the glass been broken a second earlier, or had Sair not been a boxing champ with extensive military training, he would have never been able to react as fast as he did. He dropped his rifle on the ground and quickly rolled over, getting away from the door, while not getting into the line of sight, of those on the other side of the door.

One of the enemies had ambushed the stormtrooper. Luckily he had managed to get out of the way of a shot fired at him, after which Atniit showed his proficiency by firing at the attacker. Hoping that the fire would suspend the movements of the large enemy of unknown species, Sair quickly stepped towards him, while crouching, thus avoiding any hits that might come from above, and performed a quick and strong kick for the back of the knee of the GA operative.

Despite the apparently strong armor of the enemy, Besand expected that his kick would cause the larger opponent to drop down, if landed successfully. For each armor had it's weak spots and they were usually the same - the spots require to be more elastic so that the wearer could move. The back of the knee was such a part, as was the neck, so it was easy to guess why Sair quickly launched his right hand fist towards the neck of his opponent, while standing up slightly.

If the strike was successful then Kajiko would have difficulties to breath and could even feel dizzy and disorientated due to lack of oxygen. Sair, however, would not waste time. He quickly took a few steps backwards, to get away from the opponent. He put his guard up and braced himself. He could have easily shot down the GA operative with his blaster pistol, but after seeing the size of the being, the corporal wanted to try his luck in a fist fight. His blaster rifle was some ways away from both of them and they each had the rest of their equipment. Of course Sair would notice if the enemy made a move for a weapon and given the short distance between them, the corporal would easily move in and take out his distracted opponent before he could even say the word trigger.

"You kriffing son of a Sith hooker," Tammany shouted at the large Mandalorian as he shot her ESR9. The shot didn't knock the Rifle out of her hands, but it had hit the area just above the trigger and denting the gun. Hoping the gun still worked, she sighted it right at an area that would not only hurt the man if it hit, but probably prevent him from ever having children. She pressed her finger down on the trigger and.....nothing. She pressed again and again in rapid succession but the gun refused to fire. Whatever that dent had done had caused the gun to not fire turning into a very expensive piece of useless metal.

Quickly slithering back behind the terminal, leaving the rifle where it was, she pulled her rapid fire CER78 out again. Aside from the usual K8 pistol and her combat knife it was all she had now. She popped up above the terminal again and took aim the Mandalorian with the CER, and quickly emptied the gun shooting at the Mandalorian. She didn't think she'd miss with the sheer amount of fire she was putting into the air, but Mandalorian armor was supposed to be some of the toughest in the galaxy, so all she had to go on was the hope that she might've hit a weak spot near a joint or something like that.

Ducking back down again she started to reload the CER, and hoped that Kajiko -the insane Kushari had rushed at them like a berserker- was okay. She really didn't want to face a Mandalorian and an Imperial all by herself.

Jumping out of the window Kajiko entered dangerous territory as if the command center wasn't dangerous enough, his subsequent shot apparently missed as the man in the white and red armor rolled to the side just in the nick of time and almost at the same time Kajiko was shot at by one of his buddies. Luckily for him though the shot only grazed his shoulder and the thick armor was only suffered superficial damage. Wanting to take out the big guns and risk it all Kajiko saw the little man run at him.

Instantly recognizing that the man wanted to test his metal in unarmed combat Kajiko would oblige him, or rather he'd rip him a new one. The man may have been skilled, Kajiko did not dispute that, otherwise how would one explain the evasive roll Sair just did to avoid the bullet to the knee. But he was no Kushari, and Kajiko fought Kushari on a regular basis back on Damaros, in 2.1G standard gravity. So when you unleashed the massive goliath on a world that had merely 1.0G gravity he felt as if he really was twice as explosive and fast than regular. Raising his foot of the ground the Kushari checked the quite solid kick. Sadly Sair's armor was solidly packed around the area which he attempted to hit Kajiko with so he too was sparred from the damage.

Raising his hands in to a typical orthodox boxing stance the Kushari blocked the follow up attack on him as the little human attempted to create some distance between them. And at that moment Kajiko stood up and removed his helmet, revealing his face and predatory eyes to the man. "I applaud your courage. So I shall honor you by showing you my face and giving you my name. Kajiko Sjet. Kushari Federation Marine." He expected his opponent to do the same. And while this may have been a war, it was now also a battle between two individuals who wanted to test their metal against each other, one on one. If Sair decided to comply and do the same Kajiko would honor it and not attack while the human did so. If Sair decided not to reveal his name they could as easily skip it, though Kajiko figured that the man had more honor and courage than that after attacking hims before.

After all this was it, the battle would be decided here and now. If the Alliance side beat these two, they would have won this battle. If Sair and Atniir were victorious the invaders would have gained this facility. It really was as simple as that. But returning to the duel at hand, Kajiko holstered his side arm and left his rifle attached to his back, as strong as he was he barely felt them when he moved. His helmet however was put on the ground next to one of the dead Alliance soldiers as he and Sair stared each other down.

When the time for battle came Kajiko raised his hands in to the familiar orthodox boxing stance and approached the human. He wanted to see what the human had to offer, unless he wanted to let Kajiko have the first move, in which case Kajiko would just approach him some and with his superior range throw a lazy jab just to get Sair's attention and then throw a vicious right knee to the body. It was only to get the man to go forward with his head so that Kajiko would sink in a guillotine choke and put the man to sleep without killing him. He had a soft spot in his heart for men like Sair and would try his best not to kill him or break too many bones.

The shot aimed at his manhood connected causing a high pitch groan as it deflected, hitting the wall opposite, the other shots were aimed so poorly that only one or two glanced the peripheries of his armour. The Mandalorian (who was still half concealed) felt a cold chill run down his spine as his beloved meat and two veg were put into the firing line. If it wasn't personal before, it was from that moment on.

Looking into the control room he saw the wide open spaces and the terminal that was being used for cover. Atniir deduced that if he could smoke the Republic soldier out of the terminal there would be no feasible cover to continue on this fight unless she was to move forward behind less stable and more gruesome defensive positions.

The gruesome positions were littered with a variety of body parts and the ground was saturated with the pulp of the poor souls who had been torn asunder by heavy fire and half tattered creates and sandbags that had been used to construct the meager "defenses". Atniir presumed (yet was prepared for the unexpected) that the soldier that he shot at was inexperienced, he thought this for she had kept her head down firing wildly in his general direction instead of risking her life, she feared death.

Atniir did not care, it meant nothing to him if she lived or died, aslong as this position was secured. After her volley ceased he quickly popped out again of cover, looking down the barrel he felt as if he was on a range, taking the leisure to shoot from left to right of the terminal, the high powered sig rounds blasting through the terminal, as he worked his way methodically trying to make sure that no one could survive if they were still behind it.

The most terrifying aspect of this assault was the fact that Atniir ever only fired in Semi-Auto so there was a pattern that rang through the air the methodical deep bang which occurred every third of a second. Atniir suddenly then halted his attack and waited for her head to arise, a common tactic used by the Mandalorians for the enemy to believe that they were reloading, Atniir was not reloading he was waiting for her to run, or to pop her head out and quickly be eliminated.

Sair had expected that his opponent would immediately try to batter down the human, but instead the opponent had removed his helmet and introduced himself. A gesture that could not go unnoticed. The corporal instantly took off his helm throwing it to the side and saluting while straightening his body. "Corporal Sair Besand of the stormtrooper corps. You are an unusual opponent I shall honor YOUR courage, for few dare to challenge Shatterhand in a melee battle." The man used his nickname from the boxing ring only to emphasize that he was not a push-over. Realizing that his opponent had honor, the stormtrooper took out his blaster pistol and his carbin and threw them aside, knowing that he would not need them.

While doing so, the corporal took a moment to examine his opponent. He was of a cat species, which was cute, but the same could not be said for his body structure. He seemed to be about 20-30cm taller than the human and at least thrice his weight. The kitty was dark orange in color, which made his fur look appealing for patting, but Sair doubted that he'd have the chance to do that. Another important thing he noticed was the golden earring on Kajiko's left ear, as well as the necklace around his neck.

Through all of that the corporal could make some conclusions about the cultural background of his opponent, only adding to his certainty of the honorable nature of the unusual enemy. The corporal took a few steps back, to draw the kitty out of the line of fire that was going to be produced between the other two living members of both sides. After which he took up his guard much like his opponent and made the first move.

Sair was an aggressive fighter, he never allowed an opponent to make the first attack and he thought that in this one case he would have three advantages. His aggressive attacks, his will to go on and his small size. Of course they would all show in good time, for now he needed to find a weakness in his opponent, who seemed to be quite a good fighter himself. The corporal made a few quick steps towards his opponent then a fake attacking movement with his let hand, which retracted shortly after beginning it's extension and was immediately followed by a low kick. Which, in its own turn was followed by a right punch, aiming to pass through the guard of the cute kitten and hit it straight in the nose.

The terminal that Tammany hid behind wasn't armor proof or anywhere close, which would have been a much bigger problem had she not been wearing armor herself. As the Mandalorian methodically fired wasted shot after wasted shot through it, she slid down and laid still behind the terminal, bringing her head and knees in so as not to expose any more of herself to potential fire than she had too. The terminal wasn't exactly small, nor was Tammany especially large which made staying in cover behind it much easier. The way the Mandaolrian used his rifle was probably scary to small children, but Tammany had once chased a mass murdering Anx through the streets of Coruscant. The almost leisurely barrage was nothing compared to that, and his lack of speed, allowed her to shift to one side of the terminal as he went from left to right downwards. This didn't prevent one of the rounds connecting with the armor plating on her back though. But having already been slowed after having to punch through the entire terminal, the round was much slower and didn't impact her with the full force it would have otherwise, preventing it from penetrating her armor. This didn't make it exactly pleasant though, and Tammany was certain that was a bruise she'd be feeling for months to come. The part of her armor where had hit however wasn't exactly in good shape after taking the hit, and probably couldn't stand up to another shot in the same position.

Rather than popping up and letting the Mandalorian know she'd survived the assault however, Tammany staying on the ground, gripping her K8 pistol with both hands. The holes the Mando had punched in the terminal weren't anywhere near big enough to see through and she was confident that no part of her body was sticking out in view. Her idea was that the Mando would eventually assume she was dead and start walking towards her, giving her a very literal shot at him. Tammany was a trained sniper, and if she couldn't hear a Mandalorian approaching her position, she didn't deserve the special forces badge. And if he didn't well...then this was going to be a very interesting game of waiting.
