DESCRIPTION​

The Baudo-class star yacht is a luxury sport starship manufactured by the exclusive Mendel Baudo shipyard, a high-end manufacturer based on the planet Dac which caters to a select clientele. Sleek, elegant and swift, the Baudo-class yacht is built on an individual basis, and - like all Mendel Baudo products - only for customers who have been vouched for by previous clients. In this way, the Baudo has become one of the rarest and most desirable starships in the Galaxy, with only a scant handful in existence.

Although all Baudo-class star yachts are to some extent built to the specifications of individual customers, the type is generally 32 meters in length, can carry 8 passengers and can be flown by a single pilot. Top speed is a respectable 60 MGLT, faster than most other similarly-sized ships, with a class 1 hyperdrive. The ship can carry up to 35 tons of cargo, and has consumables sufficient for up to a month in space. The ship is armed to fend off space debris and less determined attackers, with a retractable dorsal laser turret controlled by the pilot.

Overall, Baudo-class star yachts are almost exclusively the domain of the rich, famous and/or powerful. Despite this reputation, however, the type is reasonably priced, and Mendel Baudo will sell to anyone who meets their criteria.
