(BB) Sing me a Lullaby

Arianna had no qualms about bringing a medical intern on a dangerous mission to hunt down the two infamous enforcers known as "Bash Brothers". They were an expensive stable, known for high level protection and currently guarded Sugan Redus, an Taris aristocrat and illegal spice smuggler. His gang had negotiated numerous loopholes with the current Taris government that protected their financial assets and made sure their profits were untouched. Naturally, they wouldn't want a hostile take over with the Sith Empire, as it would inevitably lead to less business for them.

Victor Reeks took a while to talk but he finally broke..they all do. And so, the Gentelman's club was bustling on this evening and everyone knew that Sugan loved his slave girls. Thus, when their transport showed up, it would be up to the Crusader and her acolyte companion to make sure Sugan's next set of cleavage would be the demons looking down on him in hell. The two Sith were situated approximately 25 meters away from the transport and the trio as they exited their vehicle. Sugan was flanked on either side by the Pantoran enforcers, both of them in Heavy Beskar'gam armor and one of which had the Lullaby Heavy Blaster pistol.

Arianna began drawing in the force around her, channeling into the vile darkness that fueled her anger and gave her focus. Green eyes flickered to a golden hue as a chilling breeze swept through the area and lights momentarily dimmed. Her red saber instantaneously sprang to life, as she utilized force speed and rushed towards her prey, hoping her ally would join her.

This was about to get interesting...

[Doz Noth]

The interrogation of Victor Reeks had been kind of boring as he didn’t have the stamina to resist like a Sith Crusader. Even so, his penchant for spite had made it take a little longer than necessary even though useful information had been acquired leading them to the spice dealer and his henchmen.

Her eyes went to the marquee of the Gentlemen's Club wondering how it was different than any other flesh pit despite the high brow nature of its clientele. It was rather an ironic twist, she mused, that this Sugan Redus who grew rich off the vices of others would permit his own to be the cause of his demise. Well known for his love of slave girls he had become all too predictable. Just like clockwork his transport arrived to indulge his weakness as sure as any spice addict on the streets.

Standing at the side of Arianna Marris, Doz watched the Bash Brothers earning their keep as it were; their eyes scanning the streets and keeping the low lifes in the area away from Sugan while he exited the shuttle. She could feel the Crusader at her side drawing upon the force and would follow suit. The instant she darted forth Doz was at her right flank, her saber hilt flying to her outstretched right hand from off her belt ignited once in hand to bring the twin blades to life.

With her eyes upon the Brothers, she let a small grin cross her features in anticipation of tonight’s main event.

Stepping out and away from the transport the Karkarodon named Riff looked around. His expression beaming that he is an overconfident crime lord. So confident that he only has two guards with him. Those who are his enemies may think it is a foolishness that bring about his downfall. To this crime boss though he is so far at the top that Riff thought he is untouchable.

He was armed with only one weapon. Another foolish decision if he found himself in a fire fight. The Karkarodon looked around himself, his sharp teeth forming a sneer as his dark eyes scanned his surroundings. He failed to even notice the two Sith coming for him.

Another crime lord who had grown too comfortable in his own skin, unaware of the intrinsic dangers that came with his position. The two Sith continued their approach, darkness of evening skies masking their advance until of course the ripple of the force swept towards the Karkarodon and his two Pantoran bodyguards. A chilling breeze, carrying with it the echoes of tortured souls and a sudden barrage of lights that dimmed momentarily. Crimson weapon ignited to life as the Crusader let her presence be known. Before the two Pantorans could muster up an attack, Arianna released a crushing scream, force vocality causing windows to shatter as it smashed against the bodyguards and riddled the with tinnitus. Drawing her defenses around her, Arianna shot towards them on feet, closing the melee gap between herself and the two rapidly.

[Doz Noth]

Trailing along behind the Crusader, she was blessedly out of the path of the force scream. She had read of such things before and even trained with some other hopefuls back in the academy that used sound techniques, but she had never before witnessed even a shred of the potential the ability contained. Her rush continued forward as she watched the after effects raining glass down upon their targets.

Angling her path to the left of Arianna she moved to get a better line of sight on the guards, going in hard and going in fast. She had never faced down Karkarodon. They were truly terrifying. She squinted wondering if that was really a pet fish on the shark man's shoulder. The thought made her laugh even as she opened herself up to the force, so much for the boogie man.

She would have one shot at this and as soon as she was clear of Arianna she raised her free hand and released a crackling stream at the Bash Brother with the fish bowl.At her current level of strength she could manage about one good blast on one target. After this it would be down to the saber. Hopefully it would be enough.

Spoiler: correction

Discussed this with Nommie. I confused the races and described the guards as Karkarodon instead of Pantoran. So it still fits that Doz is shooting lighting at a guard. Not gonna edit.

As the two Pantoran guards were pelleted with shards of glass and like the Karkarodon dealing with a very bad, irritating tinnitus from the Sorceresses trick with the force. The shark head covered his ears with his hands trying to will away the deafening ringing in his ears. As the guards were both deaf and in pain from whatever shards that penetrated their flesh. If the two Sith thought that they gained an advantage they were very wrong. Growing up on the streets and being in a criminal gang had taught the trio how to work through the pain. And that is exactly what they are going to do as the two guards and the crime boss moved to engage the two sith that are approaching fast.

One pulled out his blaster, Firing at Arianna, aiming for her legs. Riff was not the type of crime boss to go backing down either. He did not get all the way to the top by being a scared little guppy. Leveling his own blaster the shark head will fire at Arianna as well. While the one guard focused on Arianna's legs, the shark focused on her torso. As he fired, the shark will move to his right. The motion should prevent deflected bolts from injuring or killing the crime boss. The shark does have a plan B in mind in case things go anymore south for him and his two guards.

The second guard unsheathed his vibroblade and went to attack Doz. The guard will hop on top of a speeder to avoid Doz's lightning attack then hop back to the ground. When he was in range, the guard will swing his vibroblade in a vertical forty five degree angle in a left to right motion.


Due to the chaotic scene civilians were trying to flee the scene, a wave of them coming out of the Gentlemen's Club. Who could blame them when things go form peaceful to a small warzone in a heart beat? If the two Sith were concerned about endangering or injuring civilians, the wave of them fleeing the scene will make the task harder for the two Sith.

Arianna kept her senses alerted and defenses up to par when dealing with these scoundrels. A slight smile came to her face as she realized they were finally beginning to utilize their numbers to their advantage. Excellent, perhaps a more worthy opponent would undeniably provide greater satisfaction when defeated. She watched as her scream hit on point, shattering windows and stunning with numerous shards of glass. As the shark man and his guard lifted their blasters, the crusader was prepared in her defense. She brought her right handed saber in an upwards vertical motion catching the shots in parallel unison and then snapping her wrist underneath to catch the bolt at her head on its heels, deflecting them away in various angled trajectories. With her free hand she shot a force blast towards the lower extremities of the moving Crime Lord as he was navigating towards the right; the blast along with his commitment to movement would likely catch him off guard and send him pummeling. Shifting her focus on the guard, she sped towards him with the force at her back, closing the melee gap between them rapidly as she brought her single saber in a horizontal angled slash from his left hip towards his right shoulder.

So many thing were happening all at the same time, but she was as one who moved in time to the night, rather than against its staggering pace. The other Pantoran targeted Arianna but the Zabrak noticed merely as a side note to the scene for Doz was focused on her mark.

Moving both hands into position upon the center of her saber, she watched the Pantoran leap down from the speedster having just evaded her lightning strike. He thought to cleeve her in half but his large arcing strike would be his undoing.

Using his own strength against him, and being already committed to his swipe, she struck out from her right to left at his blade in an attempt to add her own force to his slash to push him round while further exposing his side. The right blade of her saber arced to make contact with his blade and she pushed with her strength to try and turn the man. The left half of her saber came upward as she pushed on through to swipe upward along his side from feet toward armpit.

If she made it through and past the man her arms would then both rise above her head to bring her blade back down pointed right end forward like a spear before her midriff. As she drew the blade into position she would let the left beam extend out below her arm at her right side. Her intent was to run right for the Karkarodon who she now saw firing at the Crusader. If, however, the guard was able to evade her blocking push and subsequent slash along his exposed side, she would be forced toward defensive actions.

The crime boss what caught off guard by Arianna's force blast that was aimed at his lower half. And so went tumbling about a little bit. But he did manage to come to a stop and get back to his feet. The Shark hissed as he picked his blaster back up. Rubbing his scapped chin, the shark being edged towards Arianna, firing two bolts at the Sith.

As Arianna turned her focus on the Karkarodon the guard that she was facing swapped his rifle out for his heavy blaster. Arianna might notice the guard switching weapons as she turned her attention back to him. The guard raised the new weapon, firing two bolts at the sorceress.

As the guard, whom was determined to take the swing that will cleave Doz if it connected, put all of his strength into the swing. He had not completely thought through his actions. But as Doz attempted to use his own strength against him, to make him spin. He will use that momentum to push himself away from the Zabrak, getting him out of her melee range as she swung her blade at him. As she swung her blade downwards, the guard will block her blade with his. With her move blocked the man will shove her backwards.

Arianna continued in her approach, not faltered by the drawing of the heavy weapons. As the two bolts came out, she side stepped her charge and brought her blade in a clockwise arc to deflect them back at her opponent. As she pressed the attack, the Karkarodon must have been at least momentarily dazed after hitting the ground and tumbling, his shots coming several seconds after those of his guards. As such, those seconds gave her an opportunity to prepare her defense. Turning in her footwork, she dashed in an angle and brought her free hand outwards before the Crime boss had an opportunity to fire off his shots. Lightning crackled across the surface of her fingertips before shooting outwards in a cone towards the man's unguarded torso.

[Doz Noth]

Doz lept up through the air as the Pantoran pushed her away, her initial swipe had at least spared her flesh and shoved him off course, though he had been able to block her counter stroke and send her back. She did not flip over, however, mindful to keep her eyes on the target at all times. Sounds of people running from the scene filled her ears but it was soon to be interrupted by more blaster fire, for sure her opponent would either draw upon her to fire or advance his attack with that blade of his. This was something she could not permit to happen.

Although it would be a while before she could bring another strike of force lightning to bare with such power as before, she was much more proficient with telekinesis anyway. The force roiled around Doz to her call finding a ready recipient to wield it in battle. But for all intents and purposes she would look to the non-sensitive eye as though she were taking a breather. Her blade was drawn before her, horizontal to the ground so she might protect herself from blaster fire even as she raised her left hand toward the man.

With a slight tucking of her chin, she grinned at the man gazing at him with an upward glance and unleashed her force push aimed at his chest intending to shove him back into the speedster hoping to see him buckled the metal conveyance about the impact of his body crushed into its side. Doz was done playing around and need to get to Arianna, but she was not going to leave the enemy to act behind her back.

The Karkarodon was wide open to the arc of lightning that Arianna sent his way. The shark head screamed in pure agony as the lightning hit his unprotected torso. His body jerking wildly as electricity tore through his body. The shark collapsed to the ground, his body still seizuring as he laid there. His jaws clamped shut so tightly some of his front teeth popped out of his mouth and onto the pavement by the time the shark went still. Either dead or unconsious.

The guard that had been facing Arianna stood there frozen as his boss was brutally taken out of the fight. But then an angry growl ripped through the guard's throat as he thought about getting revenge. Determined to take the Sith out, the guard fired two shots aimed for Arianna's torso followed by one for the Sith's legs. As the guard fired, he quickly started moving to his right figuring that his movement will make it difficult for the Sith Sorceress to deflect the bolts back at him.


The Zabrak's move to block the swing of his was successful. Well it was partially going to the guard's plan as he prepared to shove Doz backwards to put her further away from her comrade. But he had failed to remember that the Zabrak is a Sith and had far more in store than just the lightning. So he was unprepared for when she force pushed him. He will be sent hurtling back towarss the speeder, his back and left flank crushing into the side of the speeder. The guard determined to continue his job will hold onto the side of the vehicle as he tried to stand up, drawing his pistol as his blade was lost during the force push that sent him flying backwards. With a groan, the guard held onto the vehicle with his left arm and hand while aiming at Doz with his right hand. Though between trying to stay conscious and aiming was proving to be a losing battle of it's own.

Arianna glanced at the Karkarodon as he was downed by the force lightning, his sizzling shark like carcass causing a ruckus in the abandoned alleyway. She shifted her attention towards the guard once more, the man was still eyeing his prized boss being near death with a look of shock and awe planted on his face. A dark chuckle came to her face as she advanced towards him, her light saber moved her saber in a counter clockwise arc, catching both bolts at the torso on their heels and then the one aimed at her legs. They deflected harmlessly to the side as the guard was too busy running away; with a swift gesture of her free hand, she shot a force blast towards his in motion side to carry him in his own momentum and into the unwelcoming wall nearby. She hoped the hit would at least daze him, as her armored figure rapidly closed the melee distance with murderous intent.

Running as he tried to get around Arianna, the remaining guard is on his own. Indeed the guard was doing his best but he had never encountered a Sith before, certainly not a trained one. He was more used to street fighting between rival gangs with guns and explosives. Not someone wielding a lightsaber.

The guard was surprised by the force blast that was sent his way. The man tried to slow himself before he hit the wall. But he was no match for the blast that sent him back towards the wall. Though dazed, he aimed for the sorceress, squeezing off two bolts in her direction.

Arianna kept her saber in a defensive position as she stalked towards the fallen guard, bringing the weapon in a clockwise arc to deflect both bolts on their heels and send them back towards their caster. Considering that the guard was essentially on the ground and immobile, there was little chance that he would be able to defend. A grin encompassed her face as she saw the Karkordan gangster soon escape into motionless stasis; it appeared that for now, they had been successful in completing their mission. The pantoran bodyguards were tough, but they were no match for the combined efforts of trained Sith Operatives.

Even in his current state the guard tried his best to continue to face down the two Sith. Surely he is the better fighter but he was still no match. Proven as the bolts he fired slammed right back into him. One almost slamming into his head as it slammed into the wall. The second bolt went to his abdomen. The guard groaned in agony, twisting as he was hit. It seemed to knock the guard out of the daze he was in previously but it was much too late.

And well it appeared the neither his boss or the other pantoran will be up and able to help anytime soon. The lone guard still had a strong will. Shown as he tried to get to his feet to continue the fight, as he squeezed off one last bolt. This time aimed for Arianma's head.

The vicious Sith Crusader looked at lone guard and almost smiled lightly at his display of courage and undying will. She lifted her hand upwards, the essence of red lightning begin to crackle across the surface of her palm but before she would release it towards him, she spoke. "So much loyalty to those who only pay you a meager wage. Perhaps you should switch your allegiance...and work for me. Yield and you shall be spared". She commanded, hoping he would take her offer, lest be slaughtered like his companions.

The Pantoran guard slumped to the ground when he saw that the last bolt completely missed thr Sith all together. And now with the red lightning in her hand the man watched helplessly as the woman got close enough to unleash it on him if she wished or as a result of him making the wrong decision.

The injured Pantoran thought through his options very carefully. Well it was simple really. If he surrendered to her he will live and have a better job. Maybe prove to be more useful in some way. Or if he does not he will face painful, brutal end. Taking a deep breath he dropped his weapon, then managed to form words despite the pain from the bolt wound, "I surrender.. And switch my allegiance to you." He will say to Arianna as he looked her in the eyes.

Arianna looked towards the man before lowering her free hand and allowing the gathered force lightning to simply dissipate off her flesh. He pledged his allegiance to her however it did not mean that she trusted him fully; it was a classic tale, to fake loyalty and then strike when opportune moment was correct. Instead, she reached with tendrils of the force and gripped the handle of his Lullaby Heavy Pistol before bringing it to her own grasp. "Very nice..your cost for freedom.." She stated, looking at him for a moment before turning to walk into the darkness of the alleyway. She was sure that Doz would follow when she commanded; her head tilting to the side as she stopped mid-way, "Meet me on Dromund Kaas in a week's notice, I will have something for you then.." She stated and all the same. The powerful Sith soon vanished into the shadows of nightfall with her new weapon in tow.
