DESCRIPTION
In contrast with the vast majority of modern sniper rifles, the Beam Projector was created by Astora Arms International in order to test the combat feasibility of a slow-firing but extremely long ranged and hard hitting sniper rifle. This was accomplished by having the bulky weapon use all of the energy held in a specially designed (and relatively compact) power pack to fire a short lasting beam (read: pretty much instant). However, due to the design of the weapon itself, it takes much longer to reload the weapon than a normal blaster rifle (one shot per post). Additionally, Astora Arms included a high-power digital scope that can provide clear, zoomed in, images up to the weapon's maximum range. It is one of few weapons and armor sold on the open market by Astora Arms.LEGALITY
Legal in areas that allow big guns to be openly carried around. Might draw some attention though.INTENT
There was a lack of hard hitting snipers on the market, and I wanted to make something that could reach out a bit further than what currently exists. Also, bolt-action is freaking cool.ADVANCED TECH
No. I feel like I've sufficiently balanced out the weapons advantages with the fact that it is bolt-action and has a relatively lengthy reload process.
