Daniel was experiencing a certain amount of trepidation about partnering up with one Solone Wren.

This was the woman who had caused Leandros much shame. She knew how to ruin a man without even dirtying her hands. It was a very scary thing for Daniel. He didn't want to be shamed nor did he want his armor stolen. He decided, right then and there, as the pair dashed through the underbelly of Nar Shaddaa, that no matter what charms she applied, no matter what witchcraft she worked, he would remain fully clothed at all times.

He gave her a sidelong glance from inside his helmet. She had suggested that they go see about releasing the Gundarks of the famous "Underground Gundark Wrestling League". The whole thing seemed harebrained and dangerous but she seemed to like it and Daniel, not wanting to show weakness in front of her had gone along with the plan. Gundarks of all things. Gods above.

Well, they were committed now, their target only a few blocks away. As they slowed to figure out a proper approach Daniel thought it best to perhaps set some ground rules...though he didn't quite know how to do it in a tactful way.

"Ok!" He said, gamely. "So the arena is just up there. I say we let ourselves in through the service and feeding entrance and see if we can't entice a couple of the beasts to leave through the open doors. Sound good?" He turned to look at Solone. "Though I will say. I WILL NOT STRIP FOR YOU!"

THEME
He hopped Solone was alright. Sometimes those Solus boys could be a bit rough around the edges and he knew the woman would not take crap from anybody. It was like an immovable object meeting an unstoppable force and he was keen to keep the reaction from happening if avoidable. Though he would not exactly call Leandros either of those things. Burkhart had beat the man in a bare knuckle boxing match and supposedly his Wren counter part had made the Field Marshall look rather indecent in front of her clan. He would be lying if he did not find it amusing, it had been the same man that had convinced his clan to join House Solus as well.

All his worries would be calmed though as he saw the two mandalorian cohorts waiting for him. He had come along a slightly different route, doubled back and made sure he was not followed. Still he was never sure in these over populated cesspools. Hefting his deck sweeper light repeater in his hands he slowed his Basilisk War Droid's stride to stand still. "Soom how I doubt yer her type vod." He said in jest to ease the tenseness that was obvious in the air.

He looked to the clear route ahead and did a soft deep growl unintentionally as he contemplated the moments to come. He wondered if there was still even any imperial presence down this far on the planetoid. He did not want to get stuck in a tunnel with a saber jockey or a giant malnourished beast. "Lat's play nice an make the day oof soome bloody impy dikut'la shabuir ya?" His Personal Entertainment Attendant floated just over his shoulder a little and made a soft little beep sound as if it were Burkhart's petite hype droid.

Solone was rather liking this one from the Solus crowd, he was quiet, didn't make a lot of noise, and he certainly did not carry himself like some pretentious clot. Maybe she would make the exception from tormenting this one. She grinned underneath her helmet as they continued through the streets to the arena. She had seen this place on the holo many times over and from what the locals have said, no one has dared to come near it in the recent uprising of riots after the network shut down. Gundarks were a force of themselves to be reckoned with, unhinged and vile, these creatures were known to tear member of their next apart if they happened to get bored. They were perfect in a gladiator arena of slaves who had to fight their way to live another night.

They stopped as they approached examining the building, though the Wren's focus would shift as the seemingly quiet Solus blurted out what was really on his mind. He wasn't going to strip for her? He couldn't see the sly grin underneath her helmet, now she understood, "Darling, it would be embarrassing to use the same trick twice."

At that point, Burkhart had joined him and she chuckled to his comment about not being her type. "I'm ready to play nice, as nice as these Imps deserve." Solone rubbed her hands together, "Let's find ourselves a docking door." she began to mark her way around the arena, looking at the many doors carefully until they came to one large steel door used to unload larger goods, it was flimsy and had a pretty average door lock. She pulled out her blaster and the lock system, opening the door to a large storage area, "Easy enough..." she walked inside, blaster still at hand.

Daniel was appropriately chastened and he was, perhaps just a bit too intimidated by Solone to press the issue further. He gave Burkheart a cheery greeting, laughing about the massive Basilisk droid. It was so utterly out of place and Daniel loved it.

The trio moved on, exploring the outside of the arena, looking for the access point that Solone suggested. A single shot was all it took from her gun to discourage the lock and open the door. Once they were in, Daniel followed his nose, rather than any sense of direction. He assumed that as the stench got worse, the closer they got to the beast pens. It was a few minutes of walking through service corridors before they finally reached an open area. Cages lined each side and there were a couple tables set up in the middle.

Guards and handlers, eight of them total, were seated at the tables playing cards while the Gundraks howled around them. At first they didn't seem to notice the three Mandalorians but they certainly took notice when Dan pulled up his rifle and shot one of the cleanly in the head. "These things are ours now!" he announced cheerfully as he ducked behind another crate as the guards pulled weapons and began shooting. "If you could just put down your guns that would be lovely!!" His voice carried around from his hiding spot, his tone suggesting that he honestly thought they might listen.

The man patted the back of his war droid like a beast of burden. It made a slight mechanical growl and moved forward with the other two mandalorians. He could see clearly around them as they moved and had his light repeater at the ready. The autonomous steed did not need direction from him and essentially had an additional set of eyes on top of the three mandalorians. Burkhart could focus on any possible sign of enemies. His ears were perked up inside his helmet and his muzzle sniffed the air habitually trying to find any hint of trouble.

They came upon the door inside soon enough. The droid could have cut through the side of the arena if necessary considering its cluster of plasma weaponry on its head but the quieter and less destructive entrance was easier. Things were still comfortablly out in the open. They needed to be for the gundarks to move around. They eventually came upon a small host of guards playing with one another. Daniel made the introductions in his own way.

His baslisik saw the threat as the guards drew their weapons. Burk's light repeater was already leveled. Twin laser cannons blasted two separate without issue, sending their limp[ bodies slamming into the ground behind where they had just stood from the table. Burkhart let out a spray of bolts, holding the trigger and sweeping it across two other guards riddling them with energized bolts. In a moment there were less than half the guards. If Solone did not kill the last three than hopefully he would either surrender or run.

Solone seemed stunned by the majesty of the basilisk in action. Daniel was amused, he thought he was the dopey one. He laughed to himself quietly and stepped out from around his crate. The last trooper, bless him, was barely more than a overgrown boy. He was quaking in his boots and when Daniel's emotionless T-visor looked at him it was too much. Or maybe it was the giant Burkhart and his droid. Nobody knew or really cared.

The kid threw his blaster clear across the room and started to stammer something to Daniel. He couldn't make out what the kid said so he walked up to him and put a comforting hand on the guy's shoulder. It did not have the desired effect. The kid screamed and looked like he expected to die. Daniel sighed and once again cursed his people's bloodthirsty reputation. "Hey!" Daniel said shaking him just a little to get him back to reality. "I'm not going to hurt you. Well...I'm not. She might," He pointed to Solone. "Or she'll steal all your crap and shame you in front of all your friends. Whatever, that's not the point. I need the cage keys. Please?"

The kid was too stunned or scared to do anything but cooperate. He handed over a small ring of keys. Only three. Daniel thanked him and walked back to the others while the kid finally lost control of his bladder. "Only three. Maybe some of the dead guys have more on them, Burkhart, Solone...if you want to fish around in their guts to find them." So gross. Daniel was more than happy to have found his keys in a less disgusting way. They needed bait or something as well, to make sure that the Gundark's didn't eat them. He went to go explore a trough near the line of cages on the left to see what he could find.

Burkhart was about to follow up with another shot when Daniel moved to be more diplomatic. Burkhart calmed his war machine. It knew well enough to not hurt a comrade, at least he hoped so. Sometimes he was not sure but still made an effort to calm it's machine spirit to prevent friendly fire. His search for more possible threats did not find any. He quickly reloaded his weapon but kept his unspent ammo on him. They had a moment of quiet and his Basilisk could just shoot anything that bothered him in a moment.

"Y'all right thar lass?" He called out to Solone. If they had not been friends she probably would not have liked to be called lass but it was better than lady as far as he knew. He did not want to call her by her name. Call signs were used for a reason and having worked with the badgers long enough he knew that was one thing they had down pat. However Burkhart and Solone were part of other clans. Perhaps he should be called Wolf One and she should be Bird... something or Wren One perhaps. Either way they were already in the feild and adaptations or adjustments in their communications would not do them any favors.

Sliding his new ammunition into place he gave it a good charge and satisfying slap. "Ya know my droid can coot thro those cages easy. No need fer keys when ya can cut thro starship hullz." The basilisk droid took a step forward and its claws sliced one of the corpses in half as it did so by pure accident. "Pardon the mess." He said as the head of the droid turned and began using the cutting mode the plasma cluster on one of the doors. Burkhart would direct the beams so it would not let the Gundarks out immediately but it would weaken it enough that they could break out with enough brute force on their own from the inside. If he let one of them out before the others it would have to be fought off and likely killed, making the bestial jail break pointless. Daniel could open up the third cage when he was ready or get the second door open by the time he finished with his own.

Solone was busy trying not to gag up whatever she last ate from the smell, she wished she had some sort of warning as she fell a few steps behind Dan and Burk as they approached the crew who were standing guard over the place. The smell didn't also help her mood either and was glad they surrendered their belongings quickly or else she would have not hesitated to do it more forcefully. She heard Dan say something to the kid who looked absolutely terrified and the woman gave him a finger gun as she slowly breathed through the odor and wondered if it would be just ok to light this place on fire.

Burk called out to her and she patted his arm as she joined up with the rest, "Never been better." sarcasm dripped, but she tried to be in good spirits, after all, this was making an unkind mess for the Imperials. Solone began searching the bodies that were already dead, looking for anything of use and pulled up a few more keys as Burkhart suggested the droid could take care of the locks. The woman shrugged, "Well, that might work better in our favor, Burk." she said agreeing with the canine until she watched the large droid crush through the corpse, grimacing at the sight that unfortunately reminded her jelly. Her gaze fell back on the kid who was probably going to die of a heart attack in presence of the Mandalorians than from anything else this evening, "We should stick him in one of the cages."

The kid turned ghostly white and Solone rolled her eyes, "EMPTY, cages." she emphasized, "We're not savages." she shook her head in disbelief walking up to the kid and grabbing him by the collar, leading him to an empty cage and locking him inside.

Daniel found what he was looking for in the trough. Chunks of some nameless, stinking meat were stacked within. He grabbed a couple and, as Burkhart and Solone traded jabs, threw them down the corridor they had come. It would encourage the beasts to go find their meal and realize they were free to roam around. Hopefully Burkhart would herd them out with his basilisk droid once they were all free.

Once the bait was placed and Solone stuffed the terrified kid into an empty cage, Daniel grabbed another few chunks of meat and sprinted over to his line of cages. The keys slid easily into the locks. He left them in the locks and waited until Burk was ready with his cages. When he saw that he was, Daniel went down the line of cages, turning the keys and opening the cells. For a moment, nothing happened, then--all arms and horrible stench--the Gundarks poured forward. They were huge intimidating beasts and Daniel felt himself swallow, intimidated by them. As their many eyes and arms turned to look at him he held up his armful of Gundark bait and waved it in front of them.

The scent of the meat sent them into a frenzy and the charged, but Daniel was ready. With all his might, he tossed the disgusting meat as far away from him as he could towards the door. The beasts saw the meat fly and they changed direction, tearing after it as a pack. They gobbled it up greedily before detecting the scent of more lying in the hallway beyond. They surged forward again; Burk's beasts joining the ones Daniel had freed. They were so close now.

"Burkhart! Chase them out of here!" Daniel giggled to himself at the mental image of a basilisk and massive Mando herding Gundarks. "Time to be a farmhand!"

Burkhart finished his round of weakening of the cages. His droid's cutting utility proving to be useful for more than just making openings in star ship hulls. Daniel's Gundarks were out of the cages first and moved into the hall. The ones in the cages Burkhart had weakened started yanking and slamming into the side so the cages. Clangs and bashing the imprisoning barrier until it finally gave away. The gundarks were freed and hurried to follow the trail of their kin. As they moved they stopped to smell and try to findd scraps.

Burkhart fired his light laser cannon into the ground behind the gundarks to usher them forward. He did not want them to dawdle or start thinking the mandalorians were options. They wanted the beasts out in the concrete jungle. They would be the agents of chaos and sow confusion and destruction on the moon's surface.

After they scattered and on their own direction of wild destruction Burkhart would stop herding them. "Let's grrab a drank shall we? I'll buy. I kno a place tha don't close fer nothan. Not even thas." He smiled and made a wave at the craziness happening all across the planetoid. He would want to take his basilisk back to his ship most likely. Then again he had plenty of booze on his ship at all times. They could do that. Either way they were in the same general direction so the trio could decide on the way.
