Assault on Hoth, Behind the Rebel Hanger; Twilight

The faction owned freighter landed about 400 meters away from a distant back entrance of the Rebel Hanger section of the base. Their task was simple: Sneak in while it’s dark outside as well as land and air combat is outside, surprise anyone necessary or silence them, and then sabotage their ships and escape before they are obliterated. If they were able to complete this objective, then they could ruin the rebel base from deploying any possible ships for the offensive nearby and the one on the Jedi settlement on a nearby planet. At this time of the day, there seemed to be not as much patrol as expected, but they’d need to be careful, as anything could happen.

Markov fixed his Marauder Armor with his secured helmet, ready to defend against any blasts with pure defense, one of his two lightsabers, or his emergency blaster; all holstered around his waist inside his cloak As he and his partner, @Qsan Torobah trekked through the snow, about 8 meters away from eachother, he could hear the glorious warfare in the distance. Markov relished in it, knowing that the empire wouldn’t fail that part.

“Do you have the explosives and it’s starter ready? The so called Alliance won’t escape this time. We’ll destroy their transport and they won’t escape the blast either. They might as well cower for a more pleasant fate...” Markov stated as the cold air blew.

Q'san was accustomed to urban warfare, and riot control, not trekking through miles and miles of snow. Nevertheless, he adopted Arctic style paint on his armor for the mission and sucked it up. He stood ready, with his primary rifle wrapped, and concealed underneath white cloth, and his pack was loaded with some improvised explosives, as well as a primer for their main battery explosive, meant to take out their main target.

"Affirmative, let's keep moving. If we stop now, we'll freeze," he said, continuing forward, hefting the explosives, and other ordnance. Q'san could only just make out the silhouette of the base they had been sent after.

The cold air blew as Markov and Q’san approached the looming back side of the base. He grabbed his Lightsaber in his hand, ready to defend himself and kill anyone and anything that would stand in their way. Nodding to Q’san having the explosives, he sighed as he approached a 8ft tall metallic door, which was locked and held quite tight.

Markov twirled his fingers on his Lightsaber as he ignited it, and with the one handed curve, began carving into the door in a shape that would fit his and his partner’s height. After slicing the proper shape, he used the force to attempt to soften its fall forwards onto the ground; to possibly silence their entrance into the hangar. “This is when the fun begins, Agent. I hope you are ready to make an image on the rebel scum,” he commented as they entered the facility.

The giant, open room was quiet from their side as they saw some fighter jets entering and leaving, despite the hopelessness for the planet. A big amount of aircraft were inactive in the back of a room like chess pieces, and those at least will be the primary target. Markov gestured the agent to follow him as they tried to hide through the shadows and as well as make minimal to no noise: they didn’t want any rebels alerted of their presence.

It had been a long kriffing day so far. They had been working to get everyone off of this giant snow globe of a planet. And boy was Lieutenant Draykon eager to get off this frozen hell. Thankfully his armor kept most of the cold off but there was still that issue with keeping his hands warm as he rubbed them together. But he was not about to complain about the cold since he has a standard to set. As soon as Tyler gets his vehicle loaded they can get out of here. He is sure that Tyler is just as eager to get out of here.

Stepping towards a stack of crates that were next to the freighter. The criminal checked his rifle possibly for the tenth time now. It was while he was checking his rifle that Tycho heard something that made his heart stop, that was different from the other noises in the hanger. The sound of a.. Lightsaber and a melting door?

Tycho pushed himself away from the crates to investigate the sound to assure himself that he was just hearing things. Walking towards the eight foot metallic door. The Rebel Officer felt his breath catch in his throat as he recognized the crimson blade cutting into the door.

He immediately raised the alarm yelling into the comm, "We've got company! One of them is a kriffing Sith!" As he gave out the alert the criminal ducked behind a small stack of crates to protect himself, aiming his rifle in the direction of the metallic door. He had no idea how many there were going to be coming in. But there was no doubt one of them is a Sith.

And then the fighting came to Hoth after it was mostly evacuated already. It wasn't completely devoid of everything though, as there was a small skeleton crew that was left at the base during the evacuation. The base was normal staffed but after the bases secrecy were compromised they were evacuated, the skeleton crew being left was similarly done at Al'doleem, but today with the Imperial attack, they need to get the rest of the boys out of here.

Tyler Ward and Tycho Draykon and here to keep watch over the evacuation process, they are the rearguard as the shuttle loadsout to get out of this system.

While Tycho is standing guard, Tyler is doing the same thing elsewhere standing guard. He has his rifle in his hand. He's wearing his normal armor and all of his normal gear, only with a vibrosword instead his usual smaller blade.

It was cold, and similarly to Tycho his armor helped keep him warm, but still you can only do much with the frigid temperatures. At least once this is done they can be somewhere warmer.

As he held his rifle he was on a patrol route midway through the hangar, then he heard yelling through his comms. A kriffing Sith? Here? Of course... Tyler would look in the direction of where he remembers Tycho last being, then look where he was pointing his rifle at. A metal door that is being sliced open... with a lightsaber.

With that, Tyler lept into action, literally, - with his jet pack in combat mode - his jet pack lifted in in the air and moved him forward not very far off from where Tycho was at, With Tycho being 10 meters to Tyler's left and Tyler being 15 meters from the door by the time the Sith is done cutting through the door. As he was going to land, he dropped his rifle into a sling and then drew out his blaster pistol and vibrosword - with the sword being in his left hand and his pistol going into his right.

With that, Tyler would be ready for a skirmish with Sith. The Sith will not do as they please.

Markov smirk and excitement faded when the door went down: he had to immediately put his saber in a defensive stance, gripping the curve of it in his left hand as he noticed a rebel hiding behind a crate trying to aim at him, as well as the rebel aiming the vibrosword at his face He immediately began pacing back quickly, making sure he wasn't being followed. "Blast. There's too many of them still here, Agent Q'san. We have to retreat and re-group..." Markov sneered as he also began to have his right hand pull his blaster out; he wouldn't let his life fall to miscalculations.

Markov retreated as much as he could while keeping an eye of his surroundings, trying to go into an angle of blind spot of the door at the right of it and gesturing his comrade to run before he is blasted. He'd need to defend the agent, the explosives, and himself. He had to contemplate a new plan that includes retreating; he couldn't fail in absolutes.
"You may have had the home field advantage here, rebels, but this planet will be ours very soon, and even if I can't complete the objective. My part would've just catalyzed the process of our take-over. I would escape back to your home base before we come down in bombs bursting in the air..." he warned, attempting to also possibly deter them from attacking, as he wasn't the true concern of the group.

His saber in his left hand was ready to defend himself. The rebel with the vibrosword wouldn't have the upper hand against him if he had to defeat him. The other two rebels most likely won't be able to fire through the small door and hit him from their angles and from raw distance of 45 meters before the door.

Tycho held his breath as the door was cut through, the section of door falling to the floor. He expected that the Sith will come through with whatever soldiers he or she had on tow. But what followed after the door fell was something the Rebel Officer was not expecting. The Sith was.. Retreating? What? Well this was unexpected. Aren't the Sith warriors, like Mandalorians, supposed to be fearless in battle? Well perhaps not everything Tycho has heard is true.

"Eh? After we gathered here to give you a warm welcome and possibly invite you to a snowball fight. You decide to make a run for it already Beh?" The criminal yelled over to the Sith as he watched the Sith start to retreat. He could not believe what he is seeing. Wait until the others hear about this oddball event.

With his rifle still aimed just incase the Sith's little chit chat was a distraction, the officer laughed. Something he could not hold back, "Well if you want to take the planet you are going the wrong way to do that Beh." He will yell as the Officer edged closer to the door, away from the safety of the crates. To back up Tyler who is closer to the door. There was no telling what the Sith is up to, and Tycho was not going to leave his comrade without any back up.

Tyler watched as the Sith didn't come through the door. The Sith backed away from the door and started monologuing. Looks like that's one thing that Sith and Jedi have in common. It's a shame that the Sith is in a spot where it's really inconvenient to start shooting him and Tyler wasn't going to rush forward just in case the Sith had some sort of trick. Still, Tyler was still readied for combat where he was, not dropping his guard and being alert in case this was some sort of ploy, his blaster was leveled at the door as well. He'd glance over at his surroundings to make sure nothing is amiss. Unlike Tycho, Tyler didn't feel the need to dignify the Sith's talk with a response.

It was a disappointment to Markov. The fact that he had the disadvantage and couldn’t kill whoever was in his way gave him a uneasy feeling. Perhaps if he had a better setup or reinforcements he’d be able to blast that door open and shoot all who get in his way. Sighing, Markov opened his com-link and ordered a ship pick him up; which it did as he approached where he landed minutes ago.

“I must train further to be able to compel my missions... Perhaps if I gain a set of guards I can redeem myself. Oh yes, I know where to go....” he whispered under his breath as the ship approached him. One last time he looked at the base and glared at the rebel scum with the vibrosword and then to the Imperial agent who was in a stasis like state. He’d love to force choke and slaughter that rebel scum if it were in a better place, and if he were more prepared. He boarded the ship as it took off, taking one last glance at the ship and then the warfare in the distance.

As he gazed, he smiled. He had done his job in a way. Instead of quickening the death of the scum, he had distracted the rebels enough to perhaps help the winter offensive invade. Now he has intel on the place Markov knew what and how to take this base if they had another attack. Oh yes, he won’t let this mission be a failure completely; he’ll use this knowledge to help the empire and not let himself feel pity...

This won’t be the last of this invasion of Hoth.

Q'san decided a tactical retreat was the best course of action, with the intel they had gained. The Rebels were here, and they had acquired armor. He knew what needed to be done, now, and he'd come back with something for it. Along with Markov, he retreated, to come back another day, more prepared, with knowledge of the base's location locked within his memory. They'd make the long walk through chest-high snow, to a point out of view of the Rebel base, before calling for pick-up.

With the Sith and Imperial retreating. Now was the chance to get the remaining rebels onto the transports and get the hell out of here. Before the enemy decides to come back.

Opening his comm the rebel officer told the remaining rebels, "Alright everyone. Get onboard the shuttles and lets get the kriff out of here." He will order. Though Tycho will not get on board any of the shuttles until everyone else did. The criminal will watch the hole on the door for any signs the enemy is returning as the others boarded the shuttles.
