Though they had communicated over holocomm and holomessage regarding the Global Health Organization, Korre had most looked forward to the day in which Ilana would finally take her up on her offer to join her in a Belascan laboratory. The senator was elated when the doctor finally sent her a message, and Korre had immediately gotten clearance for the Morata Corporation CEO to come to Belasco. Korre would have informed her beforehand, but even with her clearance, the woman would still be subject to a thorough health scan of both herself and the ship before she was permitted to join Korre in Senta.

The ginger Belascan would wait for the doctor at Senta Laboratories. She stood facing out towards the Great Sea, dressed in everything safe for lab work but a lab coat, making mental notes of what she needed in order give the doctor a good examination of the bacteria. The petri dishes have been brought out already... I just need to grab dye and a blood sample. Korre pulled a datapad from her pant pocket and began to quickly enter the items onto a list. She carried the datapad with her everywhere; it was the same datapad she'd used to take notes on during the assembly of the Galactic Senate not long ago. Lab coats are inside... not an issue... and I think that's everything. They would have the lab to themselves today (one of them, at least), so they wouldn't need to worry about distractions from graduate students or the like.

Once Ilana landed, Korre would greet her with her characteristic smile and wave her over. "Welcome to Belasco!" Korre would call to her as she grew closer. "I hope your flight went smoothly?" Korre, now outside her duties as a politician, had traded her dresses for slacks, closed toe shoes, a well-fitted white t-shirt, and her hair was pulled back in a tight bun. "I'm glad you could finally make it out!"

Amariel would have dressed in top-of-the-line clothing, the most impeccable representative of her company, and yet... she had no desire to. Dressed simply in black slacks, a black tee shirt and a long white cardigan, the Arkanian Offshoot had even put on a delicate pair of silver glasses and braided her hair back from her features. No heels, but soft, comfortable flats. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, her features warmed slightly at the Senator's enthusiastic call, striding long-legged to reach her.

"Senator Korre," she greeted, giving the woman a bow. "I'm honored for the invitation; I hope I haven't been keeping you waiting long?"

When Ilana grew closer, Korre's smile only grew bigger (if it was even possible). She had three favorite things: parties, lemon-flavored foods, and spending time in laboratories. The senator was more than excited to get to be in a lab with a woman she greatly admired.

"Oh, no, not at all! I was notified when you were let through," she responded with a light-hearted shake of her head. "I've went ahead and secured a lab for us. Other than some things I'll have to fetch, it should be all ready for us. Just follow me."

Korre turned and gestured for Ilana to follow, making her way inside the building. There was a half inch wedge on her shoes which making a clicking sound as she traveled across the linoleum floors towards their destination. The senator led Ilana through a few sets of hallways, made a couple turns, then went down yet another hallway. The place was quite large--certainly a maze--but Korre knew exactly where she was going. The pair would finally reach the destination after a few minutes.

"Already, here we are," announced Korre as she pulled a keycard from her pocket and waved it in front of the door's sensor. A click was heard as the door unlocked, and the woman pushed it open and held it for Ilana to continue inside.

The room was small and only had about three stations, but it was not cramped and contained state-of-the-art equipment. There were three islands in the middle of the white room, and each wall was either lined with cabinets or more counters. Hanging down from the ceiling were a few robotic arms which could be used for various things, and microscopes were set out to the side. A showerhead and an eye wash station were tucked away in the opposite corner next to a door labeled "storage." On one of the counters in the middle was a cylindrical container with labels indicating that the contents were both a biohazard and pressurized.

Korre set her datapad down on a counter just to their left and opened a nearby cabinet. Inside were labcoats, gloves, and protective eyewear for them to dawn and use. Korre pulled out a labcoat for her and for Ilana, then left the cabinet ajar. They would likely need the other items soon enough.

"This, as you can tell, is one of our private labs," she began as she slipped her arms into the white coat. "While I do like our usual laboratories, I figured it'd be better if we were seperate from the graduate students. They tend to be...talkative." Korre said this with a bit of a laugh. "I hope everything is satisfactory to you. I'm sure MorataCorp has the galaxy's best."

The woman's enthusiasm was touching; very rarely did Amariel meet anyone who was enthusiastic about science as much as the galactic senator, but as the Doctor was realizing, there was more to this woman than met the eye, and she found her intriguing and positive in a way that wasn't overbearing. She followed after Korre quietly, amber eyes taking in all that she saw of the building they entered, the silence. Was all the staffing dismissed simply for her arrival? Her own steps padded silently with Korre's own, a habit learned from her stint being an affiliate of the Rangers.

In and out of hallways, the place was more massive than she could have imagined glancing from the surface. When Korre announced they had arrived, she had to smile, slipping past the woman, and eyeing each area in turn, keeping her hands stashed in her pockets. You learned quickly in biomed to keep your hands away from surfaces. Following the senator's example, she also donned a labcoat, shrugging into it to get used to the feel. She had adjusted so much to her own armored labcoat, that feeling one without the weight of armor was a surprise.

Her lips twitched at the mention of MorataCorp, demurely bowing her head once.
"We've been fortunate for the Senate's generosity, as well as the compassion of the galaxy, to be successful and have excellent equipment. Our research couldn't have been successful without your help," she quirked a grin, "Leader of GHO." She wouldn't have minded so much the presence of grad students, it was more so the emotional atmosphere that would have bothered. Idly, she wondered if her reticence could be mistaken for shyness.

"So, as I recall in your notes, this organism is gram-positive, correct?" She slid amber eyes Korre's way, tilting her head slightly in curiosity. A basic question, but a good way to break the ice to begin with, she supposed.
