Rynn's Rim-Skipper had made it into the system with relative ease, the Mandalorian faction had risen dramatically over the course of time, and no longer were their people moving like rats confined to sewers for the rest of their existence. But, that wouldn't stop the infamous Mandalorian from moving about and continuing different elements required to further their goals. Belsavis was a mostly forgotten object within the Middle Rim, serving as a legacy prison system which had gained its independence after the Galactic Civil War.

Prisoners from all over the galaxy had been sent to the containment facility within the small enclaves along the icy planet. They were some of the toughest and the dirtiest, but they knew how to fight -- which was what Rynn needed. He'd step out of his ship, his blaster pistols swayed along his side, as well as the lightsaber he had collected. His golden visor turned back to peer towards his fellow Mandalorian. He knew nothing about him, but he was an ally of Mand'alor, and that was all he needed.

"We're eliminating the guards and securing the prison. These men and women could be weeded through, and a conclave will be formed." His raspy voice barked through his helm. "Any questions?"

Belsavis. Another world he’d never heard of, let alone visited. The information he searched up at least provided him with a cursory explanation – it was once a grand prison world, now largely fallen into irrelevance, save for its use as a maximum-security holding facility for some of the worst scum the galaxy had to offer. At least, as far as the governments of the galaxy were concerned. For the Mandalorians, it could be the chance to add bodies to their crusade; men and women with spite in their heart, eager to destroy the foes of Mandalore, should they accept the offer to join. At least, that’s what was briefed to him. Whether or not it actually turned out that way was to be seen.

Merek set his ship down near Rynn’s, the old machine letting out a whining hiss as pressure was released. His thudded down the loading ramp, helmet set on the surroundings as he panned his gaze around, searching for immediate threats. None presented themselves, and so he made his way over to his comrade in arms. He knew equally as much about Rynn as Rynn knew about him, but that was always going to be the case. The galaxy was vast, and to be expected to know all of his kin was an exercise in futility.

He glanced the man up-and-down, then shook his head. ”Just one,” he remarked, turning his gaze away and towards their goal. ”How the hell do you plan on breaking in? Whole place is secured, inside and out.” He was all for foolhardy missions to further the cause of his people, but he was immensely curious about how Rynn planned for the two of them to take over the entire prison. His fingers drummed along the grip of his pistol as he contemplated their avenue of approach.

The Mandalorian peered towards Merek with a curious gaze, though there was nothing but a cold golden visor looking before the fellow warrior. The man posed a good question, for it would be quite difficult to simply waltz into the maximum security facility, though he had certainly done far more dangerous tasks during his time as a contractor in the Outer Rim. A soft humph escaped from the man's lips as he pushed his poncho towards his back -- revealing the maul colored plating and a lightsaber which had been clipped to his chest piece.

"If the data files I purchased are correct," his fingers pressed against his wrist guard, and with it a holo-map of the facility transmitted before them. "To the South is the Maintenance Entrance, there should be less guards there. We secure passage into the facility via this entry, and then we move into this facility." He'd point towards a small building which was located within the walls and beside the main prison. "We secure and disable the prison security systems from the warden's office, and broadcast our proclamation to the prisoners inside, I don't expect them to submit freely, so we may have to show them submission."

The two would speak as they moved along the rolling tundra hills that lead towards the prison complex. Along the way they would see a small outpost. Rynn would pull up against the hill they were traversing and got low. Below they would see three workers and a landspeeder. "How do you want to handle this?"

Merek nodded his head slowly to what Rynn was saying, keeping his eyes focused on the visible lightsaber. This was a weapon of sorcerers and witches, as well as an icon of their most hated and ancient foe. He wondered why one would abase their armor by so openly connecting the two together, but he bit his tongue and returned his focus to the plan. There would be time for other questions after they had done what they came here to do.

The plan was sound enough. Two Mandalorians should be plenty to take hold of the facility if they were cunning enough, and maybe this insanity had a chance of working. With a wordless nod of affirmation, the two would set off, beginning the on-foot journey to the prison complex. As they arrived at the outpost, Merek ducked into a low crouch alongside his companion, avoiding silhouetting himself against the horizon. His eyes appraised the situation, flicking from the workers and their speeder to the rest of the outpost.

He was loathe to harm those not involved in their fight, but neither could they allow for them to rush to the outpost and warn nearby facilities of the two intruders. He slid back slightly, then turned his focus to Rynn. ”Non-lethal, brother,” he remarked, ”This is not their fight. We will stun them, then secure them so that they cannot warn any others.” He unslung his rifle and flicked the selector switch to stun, glancing back to Rynn.

”If we hit them from afar, they won’t be able to raise alarm. A coordinated attack.”

Rynn had recognized the glances towards his bandolier, this Mandalorian was not the first to do it, nor would he be the last. It was a marking of pride, a trophy of his triumph against the Wizards on Kessel. He kept the thoughts to himself as they positioned along a small hillside. Rynn would lower himself into the browning grass as he raised his E-11 blaster, and with a simple click he'd switch it into a stun mode.

"My people once followed a great sorcerer into battle, they were true Mandalorians that upheld the way. It was the outsiders and their Republic that had pushed us away and had everything taken from us." His head cocked towards the side so his lifeless gold visor peered towards the Vizsla. "I was the first of my clan to set foot on the Stolen Home and I shall not be the last, these people will become the foundlings for a higher cause."

He turned his attention back to the small outpost as he steadied his aim. He'd take the target on the left, and would motion for the Vizla to take the target to the right. Once ready, the Mandalorian would begin to count down in Mando'a, and at the count of one his blaster would fire a stun towards the figure -- striking it with a soft hiss.

Merek grunted in response to Rynn’s tale. His distaste for sorcerers was immense, but this was not the time to debate differing views. His clan held strange views, and Merek held his own. At the end of the day, they both served the Mand’alor to further their people. It didn’t mean Merek wasn’t going to judge him for his warped, foreigner’s views, but that confrontation would come later. For now, they had warriors to recruit from among this den of miscreants.

With a quiet exhale, Merek braced himself in the prone on the hill, leveling his blaster at his indicated target. Three… two… one…

His rifle pressed into his shoulder as he squeezed the trigger, the weapon letting out a distorted bworp that sent the stun bolt sailing towards the worker. The men, caught up in conversation, hadn’t seen it coming, and the first two crumpled to the ground like sacks of potatoes. The third man flinched and yelped, surprised at his two work-pals just dropping down. His panicked eyes looked around and spied the Mandalorians, prompting him to turn and begin to run away.

Merek wouldn’t afford him this opportunity. With practiced precision, he sent another stun bolt towards the man and hit him squarely in the back. With a bark of pain, he lunged and fell forward onto his face, skidding to a halt in the dirt. There was no sound in the aftermath aside from the gentle blowing of the wind. With a grunt, he pushed himself to his feet and began to head towards the speeder.

”I’ll tie them up,” he said, turning to look at Rynn, ”Get the speeder going; it’ll make our travel easier.” With that, he unfurled a line of cord, moving to each of the three downed men and tying their arms and legs together to prevent them from running and alerting people before they had taken over the prison. Early warning would make their job significantly harder, and they hardly needed these three men to say the wrong thing to the wrong person.

The Mandalorian would push down the hill and towards the outpost while the Vizsla followed from behind. He only afforded the downed men a simple glance before stepping over their bodies and heading towards the maintenance speeder. It was a large utility vehicle filled with various supplies and a few long range antennas, and would make for the perfect vehicle to sneak into the facility.

His hand pulled at the door several times, but it was locked. Kriff... The Manadlorian huffed beneath his helmet as he turned around and started running his hands through one of the downed maintenance worker's pockets. He'd grin as he pulled out a small transponder and lock. With a simple click the doors would be unlocked and the engine would roar to life.

Rynn would position himself inside of the driver's seat and would await his fellow Mandalorian to enter before departing for the back entrance. As they drove, the prison comms would screech through the cruiser. "Alton Station report in...your transponder has been quiet for some time."

The Horned helmet man turned to the Vizla and gave him a nod as he held out the small little device he managed to pull from the workers. Hopefully Merek would be able to say something that would keep their cover safe for now at least. Only time would tell.

Merek left the tied-up civilians in off to the side of the trail, tucked neatly in the tall grass. They’d be waking up in a few hours, dazed and unaware of what happened. By then, though, the two Mandalorians would be long gone, along with their speeder. It was better than being dead, but not by much. He was sure they’d figure a way out of their bindings at some point, so he wasn’t too fussed about it. If not, then, well, it was just the way things were. There were more important things to focus on this day.

He clambered into the passenger seat while Rynn prepped to drive. The speeder was innocuous enough and would serve their purposes of anonymous travel until closely scrutinized. The drive was quiet and uneventful for a while, with neither Rynn nor Merek saying much to the other. The landscape zipped by, and Merek found himself idly watching the native fauna glance their way at the disturbance of the speeder. The galaxy was full of so many strange worlds, and he’d only seen a mere handful of any of them. It was hard not to be impressed sometimes by the diversity of it all.

A sudden burst of static and the follow-on comms check broke him from his musing. He looked over to Rynn and took the communicator, clearing his throat and quickly thinking of a response. He keyed it.

”This is Alton Station,” he said in heavily-accented Basic, ”We had brief electromagnetic interference. We’ve re-established communications, over.”

He turned to look at Rynn and gave a shrug, hoping it was good enough. There was several moments of silence after his call, causing him to subconsciously hold his breath. The slightest hint of something suspicious, and they’d be on heightened alert. He cleared his throat again and prepared to key the communicator to elaborate, when a burst of static came through.

"Alton Station… Roger, tracking spikes in electromagnetic interference. Switch to alternate means of communications if you’re having further trouble. Out."

Merek let out his held breath, setting the communicator aside and giving Rynn a firm nod. The coast was clear so far; now they just needed to get in and get to work.
