[Titus Frey]

Titus stepped off the shuttle and into the Citadel, place to place, base to base, it was mildly annoying but that was the life he chose. After going through the check in process, registration of his new temporary posting and so on he stepped into the building proper.

"Fuck, I need a drink" He muttered to himself and made his way to the officer's lounge, grabbed himself a drink and sat down at a table. Reaching into his pocket he removed his datapad, a update flashed on it. His mission assignment had come in, Investigate Civil Unrest on Nez Peron. It seemed he had been assigned a co-comanding officer, Lt Tobian Solaris. He typed in a couple of things and pulled up the man's base record, seemed to be a good enough soldier, seemed they might get along, but that was just a file. He would reserve judgement for actually meeting the man. The listing said that he was on the Citadel too.

He turned off the datapad. Maybe fate would put him in the officer's lounge as well this evening, maybe he would page him over to meet him. For now though, Titus decided he would work on finishing his drink before making a decision. Space flights were long and he need this drink.

Tobian stepped out of the shuttle the moment that the door opened. The flight over was annoying as hell due to others on the shuttle complaining about his or her job that he ordered them to shut up. After that the flight over was relatively peaceful.

He had been ordered to The Citadel for two reasons, due to a mission he was notified of and to hand in reports for missions he had done to date. It was not that hard to find the office he had to take the reports to as it was down the hall to his left when the Officer stepped out of the hanger. Once that was taken care of Tobian felt that he needed a really good cup of coffee. So he made his way to the officer's lounge.

Stretching his arms as he watched the hot beverage pour into the mug, the Kuatian placed what else he usually put into his coffee. When that was done, Tobian took a seat at a table. Fishing his datapad out of his pocket, he took a cautious sip of his drink as he once again read over the mission details, something about civil unrest on Nez Peron. This will be his first mission after being on temporary leave due to an injury he sustained on Tython.

Titus had just finished his drink when the doors to the lounge opened again, it was busier than he had expected, then again, perhaps he shouldnt be surprised given how the Citadel had been known to act as a hub of operations for the sector. He noted the somewhat off sound of the man's gate. Likely some sort of battlefield injury, Titus had been lucky enough to have not sustained any serious ones in his own tours of duty.

Something about the man's face seemed familiar, he opened up the datapad once again. "well I'll be Damned" he thought to himself. Pff, no coincidences, this sure seemed like of a hell of a coincidence to him. He allowed the man to sit for a couple minutes and take a sip of his own beverage before Titus stood up, refilled his glass and then made his own way over to the Man's table.

"Lieutenant Solaris I presume? Mind if I sit?" He asked as he stood across the table from the man

Leaning back in his seat a bit with his datapad in his hand as he poured over the details of the mission. It seemed that something was up, but there was not much known as to what exactly is causimg the civil unrest besides farmers having crops and what not being stolen. He then pulled up who he is partnered with for the mission. Certainly sounded like it will be a fairly easy mission.

Okay so Lieutenant Titus Frey is his partner, whom has experience of his own. Of course Tobian thought that perhaps the two will work well together. But of course that will not be found out until he either meets this man here or on the field. The officer hoped that it will be prior to the mission.

Hearing a set of footsteps heading in his direction, Tobian looked up from his datapad to find it is the man he has been reading the data file on. Well this is an interesting coincidence, "You are correct, friend. Not at all. Go ahead." He gestured to the seat across from him while picking up his drink. Watching Lieutenant Frey take a seat he put his datapad away, "I assume that you are Lieutenant Frey?" He asked after taking a sip of his coffee. The officer placed his left hand on his left knee, making sure his leg was not going to be in the way.

"Much Obliged" He responded pulling out the chair and taking a seat across from the man, his eyes flicked to the side for the moment as Lieutenant Solaris adjusted his knee, further confirming a suspicion. "That I am, It seems that we are to be partners on this little mission and I figured it would be a good idea to get to know each other before we walk into a crowd of angry farmers" He said with a wry smile.

Tobian chuckled lightly, more so to help lighten the mood. As it is always good to relieve a little tension before a mission, "That is good thinking there. Teamwork is better when you know the other person. And.. Honestly the mission may be a bit simple. But as long as the farmers don't have vibro pitchforks I think we are safe." The officer took a long sip of his drink. Thinking about the mission, he fouldn't quite get over that there are very little details about what is causing the unrest or how the civilians will react seeing two imperials arriving to investigate. It was not worrying for his own safety but that of his partner. Who appeared to be fairly new to the military forces. This led Tobian to think it will be a good idea to get to know his comrade.

The Kuatian hated walking into a mission without knowing much. But perhaps whoever reported the situation got chased off before he or she could gather much intelligence. Setting his mug down Tobian cleared his throat, "So. Have you got any experience in law enforcement or anything related? I honestly don't have much experience besides the one mission on Botajef. Though that was more of a hunt and brawl than an investigation." Tobian was not much of a talker, but he is at least trying his best so that the two can get to know each other. And the man is curious about the fellow officer.

Titus gave a short laugh at the idea of vibro pitchforks, what a waste of Cortosis that would be! "Perhaps, but I prefer to air on the side of caution, the reports seem somewhat off, and there must be reason for them sending two military officers as opposed to just local law enforcement to investigate I think."

Titus took a sip of his drink at the question, that was a story, but one he could thankfully tell in brief. "Well if youre seeking my full resume, I served for 3 years in the republic military infantry branch until I was about 20, after which I left with my mother and re enlisted with the Imperial Military. I've worked SWAT, Standard enforcement, and a limited amount of Intelligence and counter Intelligence. I dont think I've served in quite as many, well, intense, combat situations as you Solaris," His eyes drift to the leg for the briefest of moments, "But Im skilled in advanced close quarters combat, long range ballistics, in addition to the training courses they put you through at the academy. " There was a more than a hint of pride in his voice, he was proud of his accomplishments, limited though they may be and was eager to continue to prove the naysayers wrong. Besides, Confidence tended to be half the battle when it came to winning people over.

"The reports do seem to have some inaccuracies. Which concerns me and makes me wonder if the local law enforcement are being chased out everytime they try to investigate. Perhaps there is more to it." Tobian agreed after his comrade expressed pretty much the same concerns. Well that leaves the two on the same page in regards to the mission.

Okay Tobian was not expecting a full briefing on the man's experiences. But he was greatful for it either way. Now it just left the Kuatian to return the favor, "There is not much to my story. I was originally from Kuat. My father was a Republic Officer, my mother is a nurse, and I have three sisters. I have some experiences with bounty hunter missions, but my first taste of combat was when I was ten years old. After my father's death I brought my mother and sisters to Raxus and joined the Imperial Army. As I said I have hardly any experience in law enforcement or in the intelligence departments. But I have seen plenty of combat.. I can think up tactics, do hand to hand combat, close quarter, sniping, and other combat related things." He paused for a moment to take one last gulp of his coffee, "The last one being on Tython. And because of an injury I lost the lower portion of my left leg. But in return I took a Jedi's lightsaber, the War Master gave it to me." There was very little hints of pride in his voice as he gave Frey the run down about himself. Tobian is not the type to go bragging about anything. Not even about his prosthetic leg like how other soldiers might. Though his has a nice added feature, one that allows him to hide the lightsaber. Again something that Tobian will not go boasting about, "I am sure we can combine our skills into effective teamwork." He added as Tobian got up to get himself more coffee.

Ah, so that explained the gate. Titus experianced a combination of gladness that he had not had to undergo such trials mixed with jealousy at such an honour, though he hid it rather well. He waited for the lieutenant to return to the table. "I agree, we should be able to deal with whatever comes our way." He took another sip of his drink.

"Now, if I may speculate regarding our mission, I do believe there is something more at work here, we just have to figure out what. Unrest like this never comes out of nowhere, its often a build over time, it has purpose, reason, built up dissatisfaction, but the preliminary reports suggest that it just started out of nowhere one day. I think it might be a good idea when we get there to start by looking at the rest of the crime reports in the area, see if we cant hunt down the source of this dissent" His words came from experiance, having seen and lived in unrest before he was familiar with the signs, and this case didnt have them, it was... concerning to say the least

Returning to the table, his comrade started to speculate what is going on to have caused the civil unrest on Nez Peron. Tobian also has some speculations to what is going on. People don't just wake up already worked up to the point it affects the economy of the planet. It just doesn't make sense. Unrest at this level takes time, a lot of time. Not just out of the blue. Whatever it was that caused it either the government knows and has neglected their duties or it has gotten so bad that they are reaching out for help.

"I don't think this whole thing started out of the blue. Unrest at this level takes time to build up to. Whatever is going on has gotten so bad that perhaps the local law enforcement are too afraid to do their job and the government reaching out for help. Or.. Something I don't want to see going on, the law enforcement and government not doing their job to investigate and take care of what is happening and so is the civilians causing trouble to get our attention." Tobian took a small gulp of his beverage after saying what he suspects could be going on. Of course they are all random, wild thoughts.

Titus nods, "I find the first one more likely, or atleast Id rather believe that than the latter. Regardless we wont know until we have our hands on those reports, nevermind getting our boots on the ground." Titus had defected to get away from officials not doing their job, he didnt want to believe that such corruption was already taking place in such communities in the empire.

Well, even if they were, he would root them out. He was glad though that he was going to be working with someone who atleast seemed to have as much interest in seeing this done as he did

"Hopefully when we get there the officials will be able to give us some more details as to what is going on. Or the civilians. Otherwise we will have a difficult investigation." The man doubted that it was corruption of Sith officials, not already. If that is the case then that means the Empire is already starting to fall apart.

If it is something to do with officials at the top of the planet stationed government. Well then he will uproot them and have them turned in for further inspection. The officer sat up, folding his hands together neatly on the table, "Given the amount of unrest going on. I don't think marching around in battle armor will be a good idea. At least not until the civilians get used to us being there or we know how much of a threat the civilians will be." He noted before finishing off the last of his coffee, "Perhaps. It will be a good idea to head over to archives and see if we can find any headlines pertaining to what is going on." He thought outloud knowing that the archives is a small walk away. Knowing that all happenings within the Empire are stored there.

Titus nods, it was a good thing his armour was light enough to hide under standard clothing without giving it away, minus the head gear and accessories of course.

"I agree, a light loadout would be best to begin with." he responds. Oh, The archives, why hadnt he thought of that? He decided to chalk it up to having not been to the citadel much.

"That sounds like a good idea, it could save us alot of leg work tracking down reports if theyre all there in the archives already."

Titus stood up and looked to the door "Shall we go now then?"

Tobian's armor is not able to be hidden under a uniform or civilian clothing. He will just have to make due with wearing civilian clothing or his uniform. The other issue is not making it look like the two aren't going to turn the area into a war zone or that they are walking into one. Such a thing will escalate the civil unrest to the point of a warzone. And above all the officer does not want to tarnish his records with such a mistake.

"In that case. We can take a shuttle ourselves to keep our armor and gear at. There should be one that we can take that is not in use at the moment." The officer proceeded to get his datapad back out and looked through the hangar schedule and ships assigned for the next few days. The Kuatian spotted four that currently have no assignments, "Yes, if the archives contains any reports or news articles that can shed some light then it will save us from some leg work for sure and let us get the whole thing taken care of sooner instead of later."

Watching the other officer stand up, Tobian stood up as well, "Yes let's head on over." He placed his datapad back into his pocket then placing the mug in the returns tub. He clapped Titus on the shoulder, "Let's get going. There is quite a walk to the archives." He told his comrade as he proceded to head out of the officer's lounge.

Titus smiles, "And you said you hadnt done any intelligence work" he teased.
yes they were going to work well together he thought. Placing his own glass in the tub, he begins to walk towards the archives following the signs upon the walls.

A few minutes later he arrived and entered into the archive wing. He approached one of the larger terminals and began to search for relevant information regarding the civil unrest on sectors of Nez Peron. There were a host of complaints from suppresion to stragely the idea that the government was stealing their farm tools? He dug a bit deeper.

"Huh, Look at this, reports of missing or stolen equipment seems to consistently be around times in which civil unrest and protests spike, perhaps theres a correlation? Especially since i doubt the local enforcement has much use for farm tools"

Tobian looked back at the other officer as he too placed his glass in the tub, "I swear I haven't done any intelligence work." He said with a small laugh as he started leading the way to the archives. Unlike Titus, he didn't need to look at the signs to find his way. After coming here so many times he has the layout of the Citadel memorized. Well the areas that he is permitted to go.

As soon as the pair arrived at the archives room, Tobian got to work just as Frey did. He didn't find anything different from what the other officer found. Which even he found the reports to be strange. Why would someone steal farm equiptment? Looking to the file that Titus pulled he frowned, "Law enforcement have absolute no use of farm equiptment.. But there is indeed a correlation between the protest spikes and the thefts." Tobian shook his head as he couldn't find any other reports or anything in the news feeds, "I think what you found is all the information we are going to find in here." He told his comrade, signing out of the computer.

Titus nodded in agreement. "It seems so, best to look into the rest of it on the ground" He said signing out as well. The only thing to do now was to rest before heading out he supposed.

"Well, unless you can think of anything else, I suppose now all we do is await transit and rest. It was good to meet you, and I look forward to solving this with you" He said extending a hand with a smile

The officer typed into his datapad what the report Titus found said. The man then placed the device back in his pocket, "Well we at least got a couple of leads. So it is not too bad." He watched the other man sign out of the computer he was using as well. It is clear to him now that the two of them will be working well together.


"I can't think of anywhere else we can look for information. So I say we can call it good for today." He noted scratching his cheek in thought, getting some rest and getting prepared will be the next step for the remainder of the day and night until they are due to be at the hangar. He looked to Titus with a smile as he shook his comrade's hand, "I feel the same. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you Titus."
