Beta Squad First mission.

Olive stood on the landing deck, her sister holding her hand. They were off to go on their first mission. Olive had been made team leader. Her team was her sister Lois and some girl called Honoshi. They were off to Bakura over a minor trade dispute with the empire. Barely warranted one jedi, let alone 3. They hadn't even authorized a knight for it, how sad was this. But she would lead her team all the same.

 

[Kaguya]

"So what are we supposed to do first?" Hoshi asked the two girls. She had a kind but slightly timid voice. Since she had heard that Olive and Lois were sisters, she felt out of the loop. Nonetheless, Olive was the leader and she would follow her just as she did her adoptive father. She was not going to disappoint him.

 

[Torchgram]

"Ah Honoshi, glad you could make it." Olive turned to Hoshi. "I'm Olive and this is my sister Lois." She motioned to her sister. "And the first thing we do is head for bakura. Its on the other side of the galaxy, so we'll have to spend a couple days in hyperspace. Can you fly a corellian make ship? I think that's what their providing us."

 

[Kaguya]

"U-um...m-my name is...Hoshi...not Honoshi." She corrected her. "And I don't know how to fly a ship..." She spoke up a bit now. "What about you? You're the leader." Hoshi asked.

 

[Torchgram]

"Course I can." Olive smiled. "Was just hoping i had someone to trade off with. You sure its Hoshi? I have Honoshi here on my datapad. What am I saying of course you know your own name. This your first mission too?"

 

[Kaguya]

"Y-yes...it's my first mission too..." She smiled. "What about your sister? What is she going to do?"

 

[Torchgram]

"She's our eyes." Olive smiled, Lois simply facepalmed.

 

[Kaguya]

"I heard she's blind...she can't be our eyes." Hoshi said. "N-no offense." She faced Lois.

 

[Torchgram]

"My sister like to poke fun at my disability." Lois muttered, annoyed.

"Heh, nah she's here for tactical." Olive smiled. "She's got a great head for tactics, far better than me. But I got the muscles, and the eyes," She nudged Lois with her elbow. "So I'm leading the charge."

 

[Kaguya]

"Should you really poke fun at your sister's disability? I-I mean...what if you were her?" Hoshi asked. "So what do we do when we arrive at Bakura?" She tried to change the topic.

 

[Torchgram]

"We're meeting with Bakura's head of trade. See if we can work out a deal to stop some of the strife in that region." Lois explained.

"See!" Olive smiled. "Tactical. She probably would be leader if it weren't for her disability. Remember sis, nobody likes a show off, you need to learn to control that."

"Ignore her," Lois sighed. "I do."

 

[Kaguya]

Hoshi didn't understand. Who would behave so badly to their own sibling? "So how long until we get to Bakura? What should we do in the meantime?" Hoshi asked.

 

[Torchgram]

"I don't know about you, but we're gonna train." Olive smiled. "Lois still hasn't learned how to move rocks and I wouldn't mind her sight thing."

 

[Kaguya]

"U-um...i-if you don't mind...c-can I train with you Olive? I need to practice my father's skills so I don't get rusty. I use a vibro-knife for combat. But if you like, we could just spar physically." Hoshi suggested.

 

[Torchgram]

"We can spar for a bit." Olive nodded. "Though Lois might be more in your league than me. But we will need to practice some force rtaining on our way. Lois you downloaded the files right?"

"Yup." Lois smiled.

"Though who knows if you got the right ones." Olive smiled. "I will be quite cross if its nothing but chiss cooking recipes. Again."

"That was one time!" Lois Pouted. "Your never gonna let me live that down are you."

"Nope." Olive smiled.

 

[Kaguya]

"L-Lois?! But can she fight? I won't fight a person who's at a disadvantage." Hoshi stated. "And what force training will we be doing?" She asked.

 

[Torchgram]

"Oh Lois can fight." Olive smiled. "Not as good as me obviously, but she can fight just fine. And we." Olive motioned to her and lois. "Will be practicing some advance techniques we got out of the archives. You can join us if you wish. But it will be primarily us training."

 

[Kaguya]

"Am I supposed to think you are underestimating me? Because that would be unwise." Hoshi warned. "And would we spar with or without weapons?" Hoshi took her vibro knife and flipped it before catching it, having it in an attacking style.

 

[Torchgram]

"Geez," Olive held her hand to her face. "Your worse than me. Here."

She tossed Hoshi a lightsaber. "That's a training blade. We all get one. We'll spar with those."

 

[Kaguya]

"I'm not used to those. I have used a vibro-knife all my life..." Hoshi looked at it oddly.
