Better off Jedha

[Day'lai'Fara]

The chiss saw Ekaj move swiftly in response to her strike. He was fast, almost as if some extra dimensional force was aiding him and enhancing his otherwise mundane abilities. If only Day'lai'Fara had equal access to such a thing...oh wait.

As the strike came down to her arms the young knight responded by releasing her blade and pulling back her arms to her side. As the swing missed she lifted one hand and force pulled her falling blade back into her grasp.

Stumbling back she thrust forward at her opponents belly. Hoping the move wasn't as dumb as it looked.

 

[Ekaj]

Ekaj was shocked that the blue girl was able to move out the way. Was the look of a fool a mask she wore. the internal debate had to be stopped for she had launched a counter strike. Bringing his own blade back Ekaj deflected the jab to the right as Ekaj moved to the left then send a knee in to the girls now open upper leg

 

[Shryke]

His opponent had read Shryke and had anticipated Shryke's low blow being a feint and had gone for low. Shryke gave a slight hop to avoid the blow to his own ankles and then took a step back and delivered an overhead strike towards Sheranee's head.

"Decades please." Shryke quipped, laughing and enjoying this bout.

 

[Sheranee Saya]

"I'm guessing mid twenty-thousands then." Sheranee shot back, blood starting to pump adrenaline through her body. Shryke had avoided her initial strike and stepped back, flowing seamlessly into his next blow, a swift overhead strike aimed at her own skull. Swift, but not enough to catch Sheranee as she quickly retracted her leg to assist as she side stepped his downward stroke to the right, and closer toward him, putting his legs within reach of her left arm. Sheranee aimed a solid knuckle-punch at the side of Shryke's right leg, aiming to cause stunning discomfort and throw his stance off balance.

 

[Day'lai'Fara]

Hearing the others having playful banter, the happy go unlucky chiss wanted to have banter too. As her blow was deflected she saw the knee coming up. Unable to dodge it she shifted back as far as she could to soften the blow while bringing her blade up to launch downward towards his head,

"Witty banter!" she shouted as the saber slashed ever closer to her foes unprotected noggin while trying to ignore the hurt in her lady parts no no square.

 

[Ekaj]

Ekaj dived to the side raising his blade in defense of his head. As the two blades clashes next to his face the young jedi moved back in to create a safe distance between the two.

"my my you going for the head shots. i am going to have to change my method of attack" As he backed up Ekaj kept his blade in a defensive posture.

 

[Shryke]

Shryke boomed with laughter, wanting to see what this girl could do. He let her have her move, taking the hit to the leg and giving a stammer in his stance, wanting to see if Sheranee would capitalize on her advantage. He swiped left then right then left again, all three strokes coming at her torso. If she made a move to dodge, he'd withhold one of the strikes until she was within reach.

"Well done! Let's see what you can do with it!" Shryke called out. He enjoyed battle and it gladdened his heart to know that there were still those in the Order who were of a young age who could still tussle with the best of them. It reminded him of himself if he had to most humbly admit to himself. He grinned and waited to see what she would do to counter the three strikes coming her way.

 

[Sheranee Saya]

As her strike landed, Sheranee locked down solid footing within the reach of Shryke's arms, limiting his range of motion and capacity to strike back at her. Still, despite this advantage and the fact that he was off balance, Shryke still attempted to press his luck and deliver three strikes at her from different angles. She stopped his first rightward strike by intercepting it with her right elbow, then cutting across with the same arm to block his left strike, then back again to intercept his second right strike. With his guard now opened up from his volley, Sheranee was able to deliver a simultaneous strike to his chest with her right elbow and left fist. She wasn't trying to kill Shryke, of course, or even really injure him that badly, so she did not aim for any vital areas and instead focused on simply knocking him on his rear.

"That." She retorted. "That is what I can do with it."

 

[Day'lai'Fara]

Day'lai'Fara's saber rattled against her foes. She attempted to press the height advantage, but was thwarted by her wily opponent's technique of shuffling backwards. As Ekaj chided her for her attack upon his head and scurrilously declared his intentions in blatant overconfidence, the Chiss prepared for a mighty attack that would confuse even the most seasoned of opponents.

Ekaj's defensive posture might make him less likely to lose an argument, but it would do nothing to stop the blue Jedi from bing bonging him into next week. Rushing her rival swinging her blade from the left at a low angle at first Fara shouted,

"Leg attack!"

Her words were a clever ruse however, for her shimmering blade was destined not for her opponents mildly hairy legs, but instead for his hairless shoulder as her thrust arced upward her eyes locked upon her foes following the theory that if you couldn't miss a high five when staring at someone, you shouldn't miss a lightsaber attack either.

 

[Ekaj]

Ekaj defense was as all ways to avoid. He knew that being smaller that in a straight up conflict it would cone down to raw brute strength. Some thing that a child could never hope to match against a adult. Instead of trying to block the attack whether the ruse to the leg or the actual attack to. Instead Ekaj once again jumped back, the blade swing past his chest. But instead of running away after jumping back Ekaj rolled forward to the right blade sticking out as he came past her. Ready to cut the blue girls legs

 

[Shryke]

"Oho! That's very impressive my friend - I like it! Your technique is excellent and your raw attack is great. Promise me you'll show an Exile a move like that next time?" Shryke boomed with laughter as he took the strike to the chest, faltering but not quite falling down on his spidery ass. He clapped all six of his hands in a show of being genuinely impressed. Though he had not been fighting his heart out, he bet that she probably hadn't been either and a small part of him wondered if he could actually take her in a real fight. Probably, in his opinion, but Shryke thought that about most everybody in the galaxy. Fortunately, they would never have to entertain such a question, both of them being committed Jedi and all.

"The only thing I might work on is being led on by your opponent. Your skills were enough to stop me that time but I was making your feet go where I wanted. Now a lot of enemies aren't going to be able to match your bladework so it won't matter if they're leading you or not but if they can match your blade then they can lead you right into a trap. Just some advice I thought I'd give ye! You're experienced enough to decide whether or not to take it!" Shryke boomed, extending his lower left hand for his opponent to shake.

 

[Sheranee Saya]

"It's been an honor dueling with you as well master, but I've probably used up enough of your time, and I should be going." Sheranee had already pressed her luck in this encounter, and as much as she wanted to test the powers and strengths of all the Jedi assembled, she decided that it would be better for her and the Jedi as well if she left. Although, Shryke had given her far more of a fight than she had anticipated, and on a busted leg no less. It sent Sheranee's imagination spinning with the possibilities that a fight between them both, giving their all, could be like. An eventuality that seemed unlikely, but still, a girl could dream. With their fight done, Sheranee noticed the two trainees from before, their fight escalating in speed and intensity as they swung back and forth. Sheranee could have pointed out a laundry list of faults in their techniques, but she was sure Shryke could form a similar list, and was more equipped to critique other Jedi.

"You might want to step in, before the kids burn each other or something." Hopefully, that distraction would give Sheranee enough time to grab her gear and excuse herself.

 

[Day'lai'Fara]

Ekaj was clever. No one had ever though to avoid her attack by jumping backwards before. She had never done such an attack, but still there were many options to avoid her strike and leaping away from it was definitely one of them.

Entirely focused on the fight at hand the blue Jedi didn't see the other duel had concluded in a stunning upset that didn't actually seem to upset anyone. One would think four arms beat forearms but they would think incorrectly at this particular juncture.

Day'lai'Fara also thought incorrectly as she assumed her foe was done. He was far from done, not significantly far but far enough that you had to shout to get done's attention. Rolling forward the fiend held out his lightsaber incredibly low no doubt challenging the Chiss to the ancient Chiss art of limbo.

"I accept your challenge!" She shouted as she sheathed her saber and used her momentum coupled with a force push to ride along the rocky sand. Her toes felt the heat of the saber but not the cut as they slipped underneath along with the rest of the girl. Unfortunately in her great success she amplified a later failure as her thighs came to house a rather solid piece of stone.

Letting out a horrendous gasp as the air and will to live was sucked from her, the Blue Jedi looked up at the stone and her no doubt bruised no no square and fell back looking up into the cloudy sky a single tear rolling from her red eye.

"Ow"

 

[Ekaj]

Ekaj had been focused on his duel. There was not much point in focusing on the others in there duel. So he was unaware of the progress. Still bring focused on his own fight meant he could adjust to changing situations. Like his partner Injuring them selfs.


Rolling in to standing position Ekaj looked sponsor the blue jedi. Was she truly hurt or attempting a trick of some kind. Not willing to strike a wounded person Ekaj called out. "you OK, looks like that was a nasty bump" still Ekaj lightsaber was ignited and ready incase it was a trick.
