The penthouse was located in one of the tallest high-rises on Taris; though it wasn't too long ago that the Sith have invaded, things seemed to continue for a majority of those living on Taris. The place was only temporary until Tiamat could find something outside of her Corellian home, as the one on Drummond Kaas seemed to expire in her needs. It was fully furnished, minimalist designs closer to contemporary Core World influences. It was fine for the woman for now and suitable for her to invite the Queen of Dathomir. She knew the woman preferred to be in places of natural environments, but it was also more difficult to sip wine, and eat a variety of hor'dourves in the middle of a jungle.

Their last meeting was on Serreno at the social hosted by Sith elite, Lord Caelestis, and that all could have gone better. At least with their own space, they wouldn't be bothered by lusting blue men, flying red men, and snoot of the elite who seemed to just suck the life out of her when they were present.

Though after what happened with Morgan and then with Emryc's reaction, Tiamat was not too certain how willing she wanted to be around others. She had been reminded how quickly friendships could turn, and if neither ended up dead, it was just a temporary cease fire until the parley. Then the cycle started over. Tiamat had no clue if Renfry could relate to anything, and if she could relate to anything from the Dathomirian Queen; they haven't done this before...just to talk about things...this was a strange experience. The redheaded woman poured herself a drink of wine in an oversized wine glass, ensuring she filed it up and emptying nearly half the bottle and took out a second one just in case. She sat down, finding herself a little too cozy in her leggings and oversized sweatshirt, and knowing that she would, in any moment be answering the door for Renfry.

Renfry actually didn't often do "relax" days. It was usually work or work meetings or killing. You know, just typical things. Even this could be a sort of business meeting. Tia was one of the Lords, and meeting with her after the death of the Eternal was tactical. But really, if she was honest, she just wanted to let loose a bit.

Taris was... different. Not a world she'd actually been to before, but it was bustling. There were so many people here all the time and it pulsed with a life all its own. It wasn't her first time on a city world like this one, and she'd slowly grown more used to them.

Once again rather than the some fancy robes or eccentric armor, she simply wore a pair of jeans and a hoodie, far more comfortable and far less flashy. The tattoos on her face were the strangest thing about her, but to most, they meant nothing and in a galaxy full of odd aliens, they didn't even earn a second look from most.

She looked down at her datapad again to track the direction to the apartment Tia had given her and knocked on the door. The two of them hadn't seen much of each other recently, and she actually hoped to avoid any drama this time. She knew they hadn't always gotten along perfectly, but Renfry had grown over the years, and she suspected the same went for her red headed friend.

Tiamat could feel a presence approach before she heard the knocking on the door; normally should would tell people just to enter, but the woman had taken an extra level of security by creating locks and seals with the Force. Worked great at keeping people from coming in, but it also sealed on her side too. She shuffled her way to the door, wine glass in one hand, her free hand held against the door, letting the Force work its way through the lock before the door opened to an image that Tia did not expect. She would admit she was not used to seeing Renfry in galactic clothing, eye brows rose in surprise, to see the Dathomirian Queen in a hoodie.

"We look ordinary." she giggled as she greeted Renfry, letting her inside before sealing the door shut. "Normal...to the rest of the galaxy." Tia clarified, "Do you want wine? I have so much wine." she said topping her glass off well above the regular serving line. She got out a glass for Renfry but also opened the fridge to see what else she could pull, "I do have water, juices, tea..." she turned and look at Renfry, "I can make some hot tea if you want." she offered.

Which over Renfry chose, Tiamat would prepare it for Renfry; she was clearly feeling more optimistic about this social affair compared to her last one that resulted in Firrerro's fate. However, she seemed to trust that Renfry wasn't going to run to her to tell her that her and Emryc were together and a couple.

"I heard about the Eternal, I am relieved you came out as the victor."

Renfry's face broke into a smile as soon as she saw Tia and the way she looked at Renfry's unusual outfit. Don't we? she agreed. Perhaps unexpectedly, she stepped forward and gave the redhead a hug before releasing her and stepping inside.

She sent a glance back at the door and tilted her head to the side in thought. She could sense the energy on the door and it was... well, it wasn't entirely different than the runes she sealed her Vault with, was it?

Expecting unpleasant company? she asked, wondering if that was a sign of something to worry about or not. Hopefully not, but she was feeling more paranoid by the day.

She couldn't help but smile again as Tia listed off her myriad of beverages. Wine would be great. Sweet and red? she asked. She had developed quite a sweet tooth when it came to beverages in particular.

As am I, she said, taking the beverage and then moving over to take a seat and leaning back in her chair. She took a drink.

I can't believe she's dead, she said. All the people she had met with so far, and she hadn't just taken a moment to say it. To let the shock sink in. She'd stumbled over her words with Emryc and vomited her thoughts, but not just... relaxed. Not let down from being "the Queen" for days on end.

Ugh, she said, letting her head just flop back onto the chair. It only lasted for a few moments before she straightened back up again and put on a more "fitting" face.

I intend to take her seat and get the Sith back on a better track, she said. She didn't expect Tia to argue. She had yet to show an interest in taking over a seat on either Council or higher, but it never hurt to confirm.

And that was about as long as she could last before getting to the juicy stuff. She still was sometimes like a teenage girl. Do you know what the story behind Firrerre was? she asked. She wasn't going to ask Morgan for sure, and Tia was the person who knew Emryc the next best besides her.

The redhaired woman gave a coy grin after releasing her from the embrace when Renfry quipped about her sealing the door shut; with a small shrug she pulled out a bottle of wine, a Chandrilian blend. She prepared the glass, red and sweet, with fruity undertones and handed it to the woman as she reflected on her duel with the Eternal. Tiamat took a seat on the chaise adjacent from Renfry as she listened, watching with amusement to the surreal reality that their leader was dead and now Renfry was on the lead to get things back in order. Tiamat took a long drink from her glass, Renfry continuing as she explained briefly her plan.

Tia wasn't entire too sure on how to react to something like this, did one say congratulations? Offer cards of celebration, go out to dinner? Kneal? Or just brood... but for Tiamat, she felt she could freely speak as she wanted about the woman. "Its time for someone to do so." the redhead bobbed her head from side to side in her nonchalant interest. She never desired to rule over the Sith, she couldn't keep track of her shoes even if they were on her feet. It amazed her she was able to run her lab, so running a Order of dark siders seemed outside her qualifications. Tia took another drink in her thoughts when she nearly sprayed out her wine through her nose as Renfry mentioned Firrerre.

The woman coughed a few times, "Well," she paused clearing her throat, "I can tell you what happened prior..." she started, tracing the lip of her glass with her finger, "...with a meeting I had with Morgan."

Agreed, she said in a tone that said "the Eternal was puttering around for long enough." She cast her gaze around the apartment, wondering what it was that Tia got up to here. Or perhaps it was just a place to lay low and live. The Sith Lord still had the ability to live in relative anonymity. That must have been nice.

But really, Renfry wasn't patient, and the question was inevitably going to come. Apparently, Tia wasn't expecting it or expecting it so soon as some of the wine she was drinking came out of her nose. Renfry couldn't help but sit up straighter in her chair and lean forward, now fully engrossed in the gossip. It was at least partially relevant to her, after all.

She swore quietly as Tia mentioned a meeting with Morgan. So it was... oh boy. What happened?! she asked, though her voice was still a half-whisper despite not needing to be.

Her mind began to turn over what had happened. The exact nature of the relationship between Morgan and Emryc hadn't been entirely transparent, but she remembered voicing her concern to Emryc once before. She could only assume that whatever had actually happened now had pushed that to be something she didn't need to worry about anymore.

What happened?

Yeah, Tiamat was still wrapping her head around it all too.

"Ok, so!" she settled into her seat, leaning comfortably to face Renfry, "It started off pretty innocent, Morgan and I were going to have lunch, a drink, talk and catch up, but it turned out a lot more than that, or at least Morgan had something else planned." Tiamat started, pausing to think of the best way to summarize, but also make it as juicy as possible.

"I had known he had a partner for a while, before the Denon battle, but he only had found out how I felt for Emryc and who I had been speaking about after Emryc had rescued me from the Republic prison." Tia took a sip from her glass, "He was acting a bit guarded that day too, when I told him, but now it just makes all the more sense." her eyes drifted to the fireplace in her thoughts as the memories replayed through her head, "Anyways," she shook her head, "Anyways, Morgan came over, right, and after talking about our work and progress, I asked him how he was doing with his boy troubles, and that...well," Tiamat's eyes narrowed, "I simply didn't believe him."

Tiamat ran her fingers through her hair, brushing it out of her face, "I laughed, because Emryc in a relationship?!" Tia shook her head, still finding it hard to believe, "I can't even to say anything emotionally related without that glare he gives. So I laughed, right? Morgan got mad, and emphasized again, they were together. Even it where true, I didn't think he should have been telling me, it sounded like something he needed to hash out with Emryc. However, things started to click and I remembered what happened to Malicia, so now I'm thinking, I can't trust him like I want because of that, and in this, Morgan is telling me he expected me to be upset. He knows I am a sensitive person and I have the tendency to cut people off when I get upset," her eyes narrowed in annoyance, "So what was he trying to get at? This guy will go as far as to challenge, and even possibly kill his boyfriend's wife, now he rules what she had, and then he comes to me?"

Tiamat shook her head again and took a long drink from her glass, pausing before continuing.

It was all a bit difficult to wrap her head around, but the first thing that came to her mind was "I was right!" She had been correct about her concerns. Even before the event with Malicia she had been worried about it. She had had some of what happened with Malicia confirmed for her, but coming after Tia as well?

She swore again, taking another drink of her wine. And you told Emryc? she speculated. And Emryc went and destroyed Firrerre.

Her mind started to turn over the other things that Tia had told her. I'm not sure I can see Emryc in a monogamous relationship, she said, squinting as her face scrunched up. Nope, that simply didn't track with her.

I guess Emryc had strong opinions on that, she said. She wondered how he was handling it. She'd not heard from him, but she knew that the business had been done quickly and decisively.

I wonder what would have happened with Malicia if Emryc had been around, she wondered aloud. Would. Morgan have even challenged her had Raze been there? She wasn't sure.

Tiamat nodded in agreement when Renfry asked if she told Emryc. She opened her mouth to continue, but paused when Renfry agreed that she couldn't see Emryc be exclusively with one person in a relationship, but it was clear from Morgan's behavior it may have been expected for Emryc.

Strong opinions was a good term for it.

"I didn't expect him to react as he did." Tia stated softly, "I just wanted him to know where I stood, and how I felt of the situation." the redhead took a drink as she thought about Malicia, and how she thought things would be different if Emryc didn't leave when he did. She remembered his off-handed comment at the social when she left Deva to ask him to dance. To admit he possibly made a mistake, a carelessness one, as he emphasized. Frowning, Tiamat shook her head.

"I've never seen Emryc like that. I haven't seen or heard from him since Firrerre." The woman looked at Renfry, the concern breaking through on her face briefly, "Do you think he knows?" she asked, "How much I care for him, you care for him." Tiamat asked, expecting just rhetorical, just to think on it, since there was never any real way of knowing what the half-Sephi was thinking most of the time.

Renfry didn't think anyone could have predicted him acting quite the way he did. For all her years knowing him, she had learned much about him, but there were still things he did that surprised her and took her off guard.

I haven't heard from him either, she said with a shake of her head. Perhaps that bothered her more than anything else. She thought of that small village she had found him in after he lost his vision.

Then Tia asked a puzzling question. At first she wanted to instinctively say "yes" but then she got thinking about it.

She had told Tia once that she didn't believe Emryc would ever love either of them or was even capable of it, but that was many years ago. Her views had changed, and he had changed.

I don't think he loves quite the same as most people do, but I think he knows that we both love him, she said. She wasn't even truly speaking of a romantic love now, but of a genuine, deep caring that went both ways.

What exactly that means to him, I don't know, she said. She'd seen many times over the years that he struggled with the idea of someone loving him. It was not an easy thing, and something she thought he was always still coming to terms with.

She sat there for several moments before pulling out her datapad and searching him only to find his absence was continued.

So we're going to find him to show him that we care, aren't we? she said, suddenly looking up at Tia and being almost certain that she was thinking the same thing.

Tiamat was relieved that Renfry had an answer, it wasn't an absolute yes or no, but one that the redhead could accept. It was odd as she tried to put her thumb on it, running through her memory of patterns and algorithms in that she felt she could trust what Renfry told her. The woman was very forward, it was something Tiamat could appreciate as it seemed so many others around her were so vague and confusing, leaving it open to interpretation. The down side, she had a tendency to interpret those things against her character.

She nodded, agreeing that she could see he did love in his own way, she had picked it up only recently. Subtle displays that came nearly as an after thought when she did notice and too late to say anything without stirring trouble. The red haired woman took a longer drink from her glass, wondering how she and Renfry could continue to show they were still concerned for his well-being; Renfry seemed to be thinking the same as she suggested finding him. Immediately, Tiamat perked up, a small smile returned as she scooted to the edge of the chaise while Renfry searched her datapad. Tia picked up her own from the end table, opening up a series of coordinates.

"We might be able to trace a ping to his comm...." she started as she leaned over to the end table again to open a drawer and dig around for a connecting cable, "If we add a decay code, it'll leave bits behind like breadcrumbs." Tiamat explained, pulling up files on her holopad.

Renfry was glad to hear that Tiamat agreed, and if both of them agreed, then it was definitely a good idea. Whether Emryc thought so or not.

Renfry was starting to set down her own datapad when Tia picked hers up and started declaring words. Words that Renfry definitely knew and understood. If Tia looked up, she would see an almost blank stare on the Nightsister's face as she talked about "crumbs." Somehow, she was pretty sure that it wasn't a reference to small pieces of bread or other food items.

Yeaaah, she agreed, clearly having no idea what she was agreeing would work. This seemed like an alternative to Renfry's blood tracking, but also wouldn't give Emryc the bout of not!indigestion as when she tracked him with her blood magick.

That sounds like a great plan, she said, setting her wine glass aside and pushing herself to her feet.

Off we go. Your ship or mine? she asked. She was guessing the redhead would pick hers as she had a penchant for flying, and off they set on their way, with Renfry leading the "charge" toward the door.

Tiamat's eyes grew wider as Renfry tried to follow along, eventually agreeing that her plan was sound and possibly a great plan. She then grinned, quickly isolating the code before sending off the message to his comm, a progress bar popped up, alerting them until it was fully sent. "Of course its great, rather simple really, the decay across systems will take us right to him. Just have to find the shortest code in timing and..." the red head paused and grabbed her wine glass and took a long drink realizing she was rambling off to someone who probably didn't understand anything she was saying.

It happened a lot...

Even though this was not as complicated...

"We can take your ship, lemme get my things." she said setting down the holopad to grab her pack, her glass of wine still at hand. It only took her a few minutes before returning, still dressed causal, but not lazy causal as she downed the rest of the wine, feeling she couldn't waste a drop of it. There was a series of chimes sounding from the holopad, alerting of them it was done and Tiamat walked over to pick it up, fidgeting with a few key strokes. "Uploading the coordinates." she said leading the way, but paused, letting Renfry instead lead the way to her ship.

Tia continued to spout of words and Renfry glazed over like a donut. She just started heading in the direction of her ship while Tia worked her voodoo. No, actually if it had been voodoo, Renfry would have understood it.

All she knew was that the information came through a moment later to her datapad as they boarded the Destiny. She probably needed to get a new ship if she was going to be Empress. This freighter that she had literally found on Dathomir may have been redone, but really, it was probably time for an upgrade.

Okay, strap in, she said, pulling up on the ship's sticks to take off, floating into orbit.

You want to chart the course? she asked, motioning toward the navicomputer as she began to guide the ship toward the upper atmosphere.

The redheaded Sith followed Renfry out of her apartment and to her ship, pausing for a brief moment to look at the small freighter, then to Renfry and then back to the ship, seemingly concerned. There was a flash on her holopad as the device changed screens, listing the coordinates where the code had left its trail and she refocused her attention, jogging some to quickly catch up and enter the ship. She dropped her pack on her way to the cockpit, taking a seat next to Renfry as she warmed the engines and took the Destiny through the atmosphere.

Asking if she wanted to chart their course, Tiamat was quick to enter the coordinates, "Ah! Lucky, this place has beaches..." she pouted out loud, uncertain why she didn't pick a place like that and instead went for this Taris penthouse. The coordinates were set and as soon as Renfry took them into hyperspace, they would arrive in no time and hopefully in success of tracking down Emryc.
