She hummed once, running a hand over the closest display panel with the faintest touch. All of it was moderately clean, but just looking at the specs of it... she began running a quick diagnostic scan on it, head cocked slightly. While that was waiting for a report, she glanced back at Tac. "Most of it seems pretty solid, but she's a mite bit small. There's risks for de-limiters, but I've been upgrading ships for a little over a decade now. Depends on what you prioritize for improvements, there's plenty in different markets to upgrade or make more efficient."

A red beeping from the holo display made her frown, tapping a couple buttons.
"It's as I thought. You must have landed pretty hard on something earlier; one of the landing jets is compromised. Won't take but a minute to fix if you don't want to land manual." The frown deepened as she tapped a few more keys at the display. "Mods are all well and good, but you gotta be careful of quality. Don't go cheap, I've had friends do that and become atoms across the Mid Rim." She glanced back over her shoulder at him, and nodded once.

"Otherwise, she's a good ship. Should be ready to go in a few, but refueling before leaving the Core is best. There are a few planets that are even cheaper than the Outer Rim."

There were different areas to upgrade a ship? Honestly Tacitus didn’t actually know that – he kind of just figured that some people had ships that were just plain better and there wasn’t much people could do to eek out an advantage. Sure, faster terminals and such might help a little bit but was it ever really worth it?

“How worth it are these improvements?” he asked her with a small shrug, “Use layman's terms because I don’t much care about anything ship-wise except press here to fire and here to go faster.”

He was a man of simple pleasures and most of them didn’t involve reading technical manuals for ships so he just plain didn’t.

That she was able to identify an issue with one of the landing… things… was good he supposed, especially when the astromech agreed with her assessment. If the droid had told him that she was trying to blow smoke up his arse he wasn’t opposed to shooting her dead for wasting his time… or for trying to take advantage of the fact that he didn’t know much about ships.

“I’m not about to skimp on the ship don’t worry.” He assured her with a wave of his hand, “Just fix the thing and give me a list of recommended mods and I’ll see about getting them.”

Of course if they were expensive he probably wasn’t actually going to buy them but rather ‘encourage’ them to ‘fall off the back of a truck’. What was the point in being a criminal if you bought everything over the counter after all?
