Kyi's blue shape appeared on the holotransmission, he adjusted his clothes before speaking - "Hey guys, it's Kyi. Wavestrider. But you probably knew that since you can see my face and all..." he paused, shaking his head, realising how stupid that interaction was "Um yeah, so - it's my birthday, 21st actually and I wanted to celebrate with you all since we don't get that much downtime. Figured it would be a good break from all the craziness going on in the galaxy right now." he continued, Kyi went silent again before scratching the back of his head. "So, yeah I'll be at the Destini Cantina. Hope to see you all - if you can't come...no worries, we all have our duties."

The transmission cut off, Kyi had been re-watching it on his holo projector- he had sent off the transmission to all of his friends and acquaintances with a high hope of seeing them again. The newly-appointed Jedi Knight figured a birthday party would be a good excuse for him and his friends to unwind.

Kyi sat at a circular-shaped table and watched the cantina. It was quite big, one of the biggest ones he'd been to...which wasn't many, filled with bright blue and purple lights with sleek architecture with cantina music blaring across the room. He noticed the patrons already drunk and being rowdy, they were having fun at least.

The Knight sat back in his chair and began sipping at his Moof juice and waited, hoped, his friends would arrive and they could have fun.

[Ashlyna Talmount]

Birthday party? Hell to the yea, Ash was down for that. She hadn't been to a party in years, and this wasn't even going to be for a mission! She'd been flying with Kyi before, hell they were in the same flight squadron, so when that call went out Ash was already prepping herself to go. Zeltros always weirded her out, reminded her of Nar Shaddaa, but without all the crime and more of the scantly clad stuff that she didn't care for. Still, she had been to much worse places, and this little cantina place didn't look too bad neither.

Wearing her flight jacket and utility pants, one might confuse Ash for another space jockey -which wasn't too far from the truth- with no signs of her jedi ties on display. "There's the birthday boy!" She proclaimed, pointing Kyi out as she made her way to the young man, sliding up in a chair to his right. She glanced at his drink, then waved down one of the waitresses. "Hey, can I get two shots of Telosian Whiskey? Expect to be coming over here alot, it's his birthday!" Ash clamped onto Kyi's shoulder, giving him a friendly shake, as the woman merely rolled her eyes and disappeared to put in the request. "Anyways, happy birthday!" Yea, she was a little excited, but in her defense this had been a really rough year.

 

[Roselle Lely]

Birthday Party!​

The Destini Cantina was among the last places where Senator Roselle Lely expected to find herself but in a moment of weakness, she had promised a small time reporter an interview at the location - to show her strong bonds to the youth her aide said, to show that she was still dope, rad or whatever they liked to call it nowadays. The aide wouldn't be working for her much longer, that was for sure.

The interview had been quite the bore and Lely regretted every second of it. Although she enjoyed promoting smaller outlets and rapporteurs, this was simply too much. "Senator, what is your view on-" the question was cut short as she raised her hand towards the man "Thank you" she said, much to the surprise of the interviewer. Without pausing to let him speak, she continued "I am glad you finished the interview in a timely fashion." The confusion was now at a peak "I? ..uh.." He barely managed to utter another word before the Senator gave him a maternal smile "Be on your way now" Lely leaned back onto the backrest while the man packed away his equipment end left.

After ordering a drink, she relaxed in her seat. The music was not what she would have preferred, but at least there were a certain sense of peace now that the interview was over. She couldn't help but to overhear the celebration happening behind her. A perfect opportunity to prove to herself that she was indeed dope and rad. After browsing her purse for items given to her during a recent conference, Roselle turned to the man and woman at the nearby table. "I hope it's okay for me to barge in. I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. May this help you find your way in the years to come." she said while handing him a gift.

 

[Kyi Wavestrider]

Kyi continued slurping his Moof milk, observing the life of the cantina until he felt a familiar presence, one he hadn't felt since--"There's the birthday boy!" a familiar voice called out, he turned to see Ashlyna pointing at him excitedly and approaching him. "Ashlyna! It's great to see you!" he yelled back grinning ear to ear, Kyi hadn't seen his fellow Jedi Knight and Star Squadron member in...ages. She sat next to him eagerly, he could tell she was excited which was great as this was the goal of the evening. Kyi opened his mouth to ask her how she was doing but before any words can come out, she had called out to the waitress about getting two shots of Telosian ale and then proceeded to shake the Knight's shoulder vigorously before wishing him happy birthday. Kyi let out a warm smile to her, eyes closed and teeth showing "Thanks!" he responded back to her before taking a moment to think about her order earlier..."Waitaminute...why'd you order two ales?" completely naive and oblivious to the intentions of his fellow Jedi Knight.

Before he received his answer however, a sweet-faced old lady approached the two wishing Kyi a happy birthday and bestowing him a gift, it was a NV5 Personav navigation system. He grasped the the device in both hands and analysed it before returning his gaze to the old woman and smiling at her, she looked sort of familiar but the Knight couldn't exactly place it, "Thank you so much, you didn't have to do that." he looked at the navigation system again before continuing his response "I appreciate it nonetheless. Would you care to join us?" he asked, gesturing his right hand to the free seat next to Ashlyna.
