Since i have neither the time nor the drive to be on so many, many skype chats, I've decided to create a Black Sun OOC discussion thread here in the indie faction discussion board rather than a Black Sun chat. While derailing is bound to happen, this thread is mainly to discuss faction wide threads and events.

That said, people get in on contracts! You don't have to wait till our current thread is over to start setting things ablaze! Current thread is just to get us all acquainted with each other, feel free to go off and start things now!

Faction mission wise, I plan on create a contract to create terrorism within the Hutts. The Black Sun and the Hutts have always had bad blood between them, but with the Hutts having killed off so many of us(or assimilated many others) during their takeover the New Black Sun has the policy of 'All Hutts must die.' Therefore, we will be notifying them of our presence in the only way we know how, by exploding something that was probably important!

Please post below with contract ideas, your current character's contract plans, and if you'd like to signup for the above contract! Also, as a discussion point, should we add PCs to hunt down through our assassination contract system? I intended to allow Vigos to put up there PCs they want eliminated, but I want to know if I should start naming names of people from other factions that we'd know about that the Black Sun would want dead.

I do have a possible terrorist mission idea for our group. We could highjack a decent size cargo freighter near a populated planet and deceive whoever in charge to think that this incident is a common pirate raid. Our objective is to eliminate the crew awhile planting high explosives inside the ship and finally put it on an crash course straight into a business area or crowded area of a city. We do this by setting the hyderdrive to activate at a certain time to provide us time to escape and to increase the damage of the strike when it happens.

I still don't know who we can conduct this attack against. Should it be a Hutt-ruled world? Imperial? Or even an independent planet?

And guys, while you're free to make attacks on the sith, keep in mind that wE ICly hate the Hutts more. The Hutts have ICly slaughtered our vigos, stolen our property, livelihood, and dignity. Our hatred of them is far greater than our general dislike of the Imperials.

Please, for the sake of my sanity, stop using ''lmao'' and things in posts - it just looks sloppy and makes little sense in my eyes.

Also, attacking the Hutt's is what we should be doing. Hate based revenge attacks, blowing things up etc. At the moment, attacking the Trioka Mining Company Casino simply is the worst idea I have heard in a while. They would have security everywhere - the world is at war after all - and the Black Suns may not even know it exists.

Attack mining companies, ships etc, start small and work up.

The Sith are ideal for this sort of thing, profit attacks.

Do not attack the Hutt's for anything other than revenge I suggest - the Sith and the Rebels and everyone else exists for the profit of the Suns.

I think you guys are looking at this the wrong way. The Imperium is the largest, most powerful and most secure faction in the galaxy. For a fledgling criminal/terrorist organization like Black Sun to decide that the Sith Imperium is where they should focus their first operations is a bit ridiculous.

It's the equivalent of a small, newly-formed real life terrorist group just up and deciding one day, "Oh, the United States has money, we'll target them." The US is also really really good at preventing those sorts of attacks, and it stands to reason that the Imperium would have similar capabilities.

The Hutts, on the other hand, have an empire based around inherently criminal activities. Their rank and file members are, in fact, criminals. There's not nearly the same degree of discipline and control. Add to that the IC motivation for Black Sun to target the Hutts, and I think there's little reason for us to be looking anywhere but the big old slugs for our paydays.

Just my two cents.

Raif isn't wrong here. I can tell you from personal experience now and in the past that the Imperium isn't going to underestimate a threat, and while you're right- we can garner profit from the Imperium, Rebels, and Jedi: They aren't the only organizations in the world. I've got some ideas formulating, and everyone will have gain coming to them.

Be Patient.

The Sith won't fall over night, and the Hutts won't walk off the face of the galaxy. We're young, we're plentiful and we're devious. Focus on putting numbers in our ranks, and taking the missions that us Vigo's put out for you. I just now submitted 6 new contracts for Noise to look over, and 3 of which are "Main Thread" missions to further the interest of the Black Sun. So stay tuned everyone

I second that. I hadn't seen it from a realistic point of view.

On that note... Rowan Corliss needs a date and some friends for an appearance at the opening of a certain casino. Is anyone interested?

Use this as an opportunity to gain some valuable intelligence for our organization, because this casino opening could be a great way for us to ID some potentially valuable targets and build dossiers on the Hutt leadership.

So try going into thread with that in mind. Open your eyes, try to learn people's names, their positions, who's in charge, etc. We can use that down the road. At this point, we have basically nothing, so anything that is learned is more valuable than what we've got.
