Jango.

I used to prefer Boba, but Boba has been Gary Stu'd to the point where he's no longer interesting. Jango has some pretty lulzy feats too, like beating multiple Jedi Knights to death with literally just his fists. But, he's still a better situated, less ridiculous badass.

I like Jango mostly because he's the original. All of the Clone Troopers and Boba come from him. Having said that, Boba, in my opinion has the cooler looking armor. I like the color scheme of Boba's armor better and I like the wear and tear it has and while I think Jango had more to do in Episode II than Boba did in both Episodes V and VI put together, I still go with Boba.

Prefer Jango's armor, and he's less silly in books/games.

Boba, but only from Empire and Jedi. Anything before Empire and post-Jedi just ended up ruining the enigma of the character (with some exceptions; some of the pre-Empire stuff, like the Han Solo trilogy, is pretty good). Plus Jango Fett was a lame character.

This.

Jango Fett was written into the prequels for fan service. He shouldn't exist for the same reason C-3PO and R2-D2 shouldn't been in the prequels. Lucas was doing a disservice to the original trilogy.

That being said I did enjoy reading Jango Fett: Open Seasons, though you could remove Jango Fett and still come up with a story just as cool.

I wouldn’t say that R2 and 3PO shouldn’t have been in the prequels. I’d only go so far as to say that they were shoehorned into places they didn’t need to be, and their connections to important character was way too fan servicey - especially 3PO being built by Kid Vader. A more appropriate place for them would’ve been as more background players, in the service of Naboo or Alderaan or something, rather than this:

The only reason Jango even exists is to throw back to Boba. His character was rather useless otherwise.

I have a legitimate question. This isn't me trying to be inconsiderate or rude, but is there anything you actually like about the prequels? All I've seen you do when it comes to the prequels is say what you don't like about it, and I was wondering, do you like anything from the prequels, anything at all?

Basically the Clones. And also the actual story of Anakin's betrayal n' stuff. That's... basically it?

I like Ewan McGregor, and I have a lot of respect for the fact that he's the one and only actor to bring a nuanced performance to those films. Some of the score was good (though, probably due to the quality of the films, it started to become uninspired by Episode III). The films had a few interesting ideas. On the whole, though? No, there's not much I like about the prequels.

Was anyone else oddly disturbed when R2 lit those droids on fire and they were screaming in pain?
