Ruusan Old City
capture mission for a target known as Triton

War was never pretty never could be pretty when people died but some methods of war are far worse. Though Jake never bothered to go into details on the Civil war since they where all ways far more complicated than one thought but Jake did look into this mission. Triton was a bomb maker, he made all sorts of bombs that were used in attacks planet-wide. Of course, Triton was never there for these attacks but they all used his bombs.

Therefore the Government wanted him gone. Problem was that he had his Bunker hidden in an old city. A full frontal attack on a bomb make could lead to far too many losses. Instead, the idea was to attack with a small team that would slip into the city unnoticed. With stealth, a small team could slip in and grab Triton. The only issue was the Bunker belonged to a very paranoid bomb maker who used traps and droids to keep himself safe. But the mission had to be done no matter what.

Jake stoop ln the alleyway and made his final checks. He had his simple pistol with 3 extra power packs and his knife along with his armour. Jake wanted to be light and since there target used droids Jake did not want to add too much. Not to mention this way he blended in better. Smiling Jake looked to his partner "While looks like we all clear for our mission to start. I am ready whenever you are"

Omnis wouldn't say he was a specialist in any one field or another, though thanks to his stage training and desire to be as realistic as popular he had become something of a jack of all trades. That meant that he had enough knowledge of electronics and the theory behind demolitions to be of use for this kind of operation. Probably the best thing, besides his burgeoning control over the Force, was his attention to detail. He would be easier able to spot when things were out of the ordinary, which could help with their stealth attempt to get at the bomb maker. Once they had found the man, he would bring out Potencia to deal a righteous fist of justice to the man. Then, and only then, could the people of this world feel safer.

For his part, Omnis was wearing his standard gear, which he'd already maximized his efficiency for his weapon loadout. His clothing was of the kind best able to blend in with his environment, to keep with the whole stealth theme. His blonde hair would usually be out of place, so he wore a hat to cover it up. His bright smile and eyes, though, were something he'd never willingly hide. He came up to his partner for this operation, extending a hand even as he thought that the young man seemed definitely more on the young end. "Hey there, I'm Omnis. I'm as ready as I'll be, so let's head out. Do you want to take point or should I?" He figured that the other young man would want to go first, but it was always nice to ask to make sure.

Jake thought for a bit and it made sense for the demo expert to go first. That way if they found any traps or bombs on the way he could deal with them. Though really it did not matter too much. "While Omnis it is good to meet you I am Jake. It would make sense if you go first Omnis, you know more about electronics than I do. Most of my training is in mechanical things"

Jake hung back and let Omins lead the way. The entrance was meant to be hidden but they had more or less a general idea where it was. As they walked down an empty alleyway Jake spotted it. Set if steps leading down to a door. It blended into the rest of the city but the lock on the door gave it away. It was far to new to be something a poor person living in the old city could afford "I think we found the entrance"

Omnis wasn't convinced that it would be this easy. If this was a known bomber, it would be impossible that he wouldn't have booby trapped his home. Holding up a hand to have Jake stay back a ways. His gut was telling him there was something more here. He looked at the light, the lock, everything about the door came under scrutiny. In the end, it turned out to be very clever. The lock was safe, easily picked and thrown aside. The trap lay in the handle of the door, so that when the coast seemed clear they would try to turn the handle and...boom. The wires were worked incredibly finely, so it made it difficult to diffuse. In the end, the best he could do was pause the timer to delay the blast. Looking back at Jake, he knew there was only one thing he could do.

Taking hold of the handle, Omnis ripped the door open and grabbed the pack of explosives. Turning, the Waszylla would summon what control of the Force he could to himself to enhance the strength of his arm. He threw the paused bomb as far as he could high into the air. It suddenly burst, deadly shrapnel falling over an empty part of the distant wreckage. They were safe, yet the noise would have alerted anyone nearby. In exchange for being safe, their full stealth had been compromised. They'd have to work hard to keep what was left intact.

Jake stayed back as Omnis got to work. It seemed he was right. Taking a glance ever now and then Jake watched the man do his job though it seemed to take time. Maybe it was beyond his skill.

All thoughts on that ceased when Omnis threw the bomb high. Taking cover Jake heard the boom. Based on the sound that blast would of vaporized even a fully Armoured Droid never mind a human.

"guess they don't want guests." moving to the door Jake inspect the bomb location and was admiring the work of Omnis when he heard it. Sounds of metal on concrete flooring. Pulling his blaster he aimed as a Droid rounded a corner. The blast must of triggered the Droid to invistgate.

Firing Jake watched the shot slam in yo the droids chest and knock him back a inch before it recovered and fired back. Diving out the way Jake swore to him self "kriefing Droid probably alerted the bunjer about intruders. So much for stealth."

Well, they had to get moving now that they weren't at all able to continue via stealth. Hoping that his instincts would lead him in the right direction, he took on off running down the corridor and into the shelter. As turns came up he let his gut tell him which way to go, trusting in the Force. Perhaps he had tired out the Force throwing that bomb away, though, as after a few turns he found himself in a dead end room. There were no droids here, which was lucky, but his eyes could spot a bit of a problem: A Bouncing Betty bomb that he had stepped on in his haste. Well, good thing Jake was out of range of this, from looking around.

If he stepped off the bomb, it would bounce up off the ground and blow up at chest level. It would send powerful shrapnel, shredding anything at that height with barely any time to react. Luckily, he'd studied these kinds of bombs and knew what to do. He couldn't disarm it, as it would go off, so he had to set it off intentionally. Using the foot on the bomb to kick off, he leapt down as the bomb shot up, managing to just slip under the explosion and shrapnel with just a few cuts here and there. This man knew what he was doing, the bomber, as this would have been the bane for a standard group of soldiers unused to such things. They had to take him out, fast.

Jake stayed back behind Omnis but kept pace as the pair made their way through the winding tunnels of the bunker. But their speed came back to bight them as Omnis came to a stop. Fearing hostiles Jake readied his blaster but then spotted it. A mine under one of his feet. It had not gone off yet but either way, Jake took cover in a doorway and waited. When Omnis jump on to the ground Jake took cover fully in the doorway and waited. The blast was smaller but even this far down the hallway tiny balls flew past. If Jake had been standing in the hallway that would of been a bad day. Standing up jake ran up to Omis "Are you ok man, that was really close to you."

Getting ready to help Omnis Up Jake was taken off guard when a Blaster bolt rang out from behind them."Krif more droids" One shot glancing along the side of Jake as he dived For cover and fired back. Two of his blaster Bolts slammed into the droids. Dropping two of them with a clang to the floor. His third shot hit another droid but it only hit the shoulder and failed to slow the droid down "Double krief we need to back through them"

Nodding to Jake to show he was fine, Omnis saw the droids come and engage them just before the younger man fired to kill two of them. Determined to make up for his failure, he poured the Force into his arm and delivered a vicious punch to the closer droid. The enhanced force of the punch turned the thing to pieces, flying back and dismantling the last remaining droid that had been coming up behind. The danger over, he gave a smile to his companion before kneeling down to look at the tracks. There was a high chance the droids had come from the main hideout of the bomber, so if they could follow them then they'd be able to find their objective. The tracks found, he led the way to a reinforced door that had definitely been used recently. He could also see the myriad of bombs and tripwires protecting this door. He looked at Jake, wondering where they should start. If needed, he'd take some time to find the right place to start, unless the younger man had a hunch.

Some thing seemed off about this. The droids came from this route but the door was heavily booby trapped to the point it was all most comical. But the droids came from this way. "wait one second Omnis I think I have a idea."

Ealking back the way they came Jake found it. The loose head of a Droid laying on the floor. Picking it up Jake brought it back. Fiddling with his data tablet and the head Jake powered it up as he got back to the door. At first nothing but then opposite side of the door the wall opened up. A hidden door that led down deeper in to the bunker.

"seen some thing like this before where the door opens if you transmit the correct code. Last time the door was not hidden but I suspect it the same piece of technology. That door with all the bombs is not very subtle unlike all the other traps. All most like it is a devoy"

"Good find! Let's see if we can end this." Following Jake's guidance, Omnis took point as they moved into the hidden passage. There weren't any other droids, thankfully, and a humming coming from further in could only come from an organic being. As they stepped into the inner sanctum of the bomber, the truth became apparent. On viewscreens were the entire complex, meaning the man had been watching him. There was some still hot food on the desk, along with a beer and a comfy chair, so the man had been watching them and enjoying the show. But where was he now? The humming was coming from the next room over, Omnis drawing his holdout blaster and preparing to fire it as he moved to the door. Nodding at Jake, he kicked in the door.

The bomber, a middle-aged human who was a bit on the portly side with thick glasses, was sitting on a refresher with a datapad when the door was kicked in. Obviously he had needed to handle some business while watching Omnis and Jake, thinking he was safe in his booby trapped shelter. Omnis and the Bomber's eyes met for a moment, the ultimate sense of awkwardness in the air. Then Omnis shot the man in the chest with a stun bolt, causing him to slump and fall face-first off the refresher. Shaking his head, Omnis worked carefully to disable the other bombs and droids from the main console while he let Jake handle turning in the Bomber. This had been a very long day and he needed a beer. Not the beer the Bomber had, that was a brand that was weak as hell.
