There was always something else to do, and the War Master’s time and attention was the greatest currency he could offer to those who had supported him. And so here he was again, in the early evening of local time in the space around Botajef, assisting the ambition of Head Warden Xornoth Sk’ar, and again, he was charged with managing a piece of the larger operation. The give-and-take between the most powerful players in the Empire was a dance Kalladrrl was learning well as he settled further and further into his executive position; sometimes it could be a drag but maintaining cohesion among the ranks of those with a military bend was a concern of his.

His belt and his two modified lightsabers were in place, along with a string of grenades lining his belt; Kalladrrl judged that it helped regular army troops keep their connection to him, and he never knew when grenades would come in handy. Both of his gauntlets had been checked and rechecked, including the Gauntlet itself, the artifact that magnified his power to unheard of levels. His helmet sealed his battle armor and a black cloak finely trimmed with gold thread completed the War Master’s ensemble. The Wookiee gestured to an array of inner earpieces. He’d done this enough times to always bring a way for those who worked with him to understand his words in Galactic Basic.

It was just easier than getting mad at the help when they didn’t read their mission briefing and expected to play charades or holophone on a critical Sith mission.

He smiled inside the helmet as he thought of how Vex had lost contact during the development of their Force bond and had electrocuted a whole streetful of Sarkan soldiers to find him. He lamented internally that she was not here to assert Imperial control on these customs officials.

Instead, a subordinate of hers accompanied him. Another one of the Champions of the Empress, but not the Champion as he was: Vash Windrider. Lots of work done with many of the Eternal’s servants. The other was less known, but Legion. Kalladrrl had a special spot in his heart for Legionnaires over other Imperial soldiery. Serenneese planetary defense troopers were all well and good, but the rugged attitude and derring-do of the Legion was unmanaged anywhere in the galaxy.

Kalladrrl couldn't help but notice both humans were black of hair and bearded, despite coming from different planets and cultures. Ironic.

He stood before them in the rear bay of the transport ship, forty Judgement soldiers arrayed to accompany them.

“Gentlemen,” he said to the Nightbringer and the Lieutenant, “our destination approaches. Our allies within the Judgement have put together dossiers on high ranking custom officials with well-established patterns of graft and corruption of their position.” The Wookiee harrumphed throatily, the vocabulated voice of his protocol droid unable to translate such a vocalization. “Detestable. We’re going to set them straight and take control of this station, either apprehending these rotten officials and giving them over to the Empress’ justice, or sending them to a final judgement from which there can be no return.” The War Master flexed his Gauntleted hand, beginning to gather the Force through it into himself.

It was a strange thing, recognition. After not only surviving, but ranking as one of he champions of the Gauntlet. Vash now something of a commodity. His skills and abilities as an assassin and agent of the dark side were bow requested and in high demand by members of the council and those with the ambition to be so. No sooner was he finishing a mission on Kessel for his fellow Champion and War Lord did he receive the mission to join him on another, this time for the Warden and one time partner, Xornoth.

The Nightbringer joined the War Master. Wearing the standard Sith combat armor, his twin lightsabers clipped to his utility belt under his black cloak. Along with his standard side arm he always carried at his right hip, just behind his saber hilt. Added his normal kit was three frag grenades hidden in pouches at his back and the reward from the council, a gauntlet over his wright forearm and hand that allowed him the power of Tutaminis without the requirement of concentration or focus.

As Kalladrrl opened his arm to a display of ear pieces, Vash would pick one that would best fit hidden within his ear. Then placed the iconic helmet of the Sith armor over his head and locking it in place. Some found the feeling of a fully enclosed head piece to be something restrictive, but for the assassin it meant something different. In was time to quite the noise of the galaxy, to focus on the task at hand. Time, to go to work.

Giving the Wookie his full attention for the short briefing, Vash would pull his datapad from his left and tap a couple of buttons to bring up the for mentioned reports on the targets. Slimy little grub worms, the kind of prey his Master and Wraith Vex took the simple pleasure in tying into little knots. The memory of which gave him a smirk. Sadly that was not his strongest skill set, Vash much preferred the simple elegance of the kill. Perhaps he would at least practice the attempt on one poor fool before gutting him, he mused.

"Would you prefer us to take on these vermin as one or divide and destroy the targets?" Vash would ask bluntly.

Tobian had just gotten back from a mission to Targon he had been assigned to by Lord Evandrus when Head Warden Xornoth told him he will be accompaning War Master Kalladrl and Master Windrider to Botajef. More like ordered to gp but if asked, the lieutenant would have volunteered in a heart beat. The only hing he dreaded is the fact that when he will have three reports to finish when he gets back to base, and hope that no one hunts him down for the reports. No he will not take a break from missions because he didn't sign up to sit at a desk all day long, Tobian wanted to be out there serving the Empire out in the field. And in all honesty. He hates writing up reports.

Tobian may not be armed with a lightsaber or two but just like the Sith Master and War Master, he is heavily armed. As like the other two missions, his standard vibroblade is strapped to his back in a way that it will not hinder his ability to get behind cover. His Aggressor Rifle is in his hands as always. Tonian's pistol is in it's holster on his left hip and his vibro-knife is fastened in front of his pistol. He made sure that both are secure and will not come loose or impede him in some way. He did not like using grenades not because of the noise but because he worried that it will harm his allies due to a delayed explosion, failing to go off or someone throwing it back before it goes off.

Standing there in the shuttle Tobian was paying more attention to his gear instead of to his two superiors. A bad but also good habit since faulty gear needs to be spotted ahead of time. When finished checking his gear Tobian turned his attention to the War Master as the wookie held out a couple of ear pieces. Good thing that Akina is not here or she would be spazzing out, his little sister has always wanted to see a wookie. On some sort of belief that wookies are cuddly. Of course as Tobian took an ear piece he is not going to say anything, since it may put him on his superior's bad side. The last thing he wanted was to get on Kalladrl's bad side. Placing the ear piece in his ear, the officer put his helmet on as the War Master started to speak to him, Windwalker, and the forty other soldiers at the back of the shuttle. The lieutenant listened as he looked over the orders and what not on his datapad once more before they land in the hangar bay of the space station. Once on board there will be no time for even a quick look.

The mission seemed to be the same as his last mission he did. At least he thought that as he listened and read the orders. Neutralize those who resist or fight back while arresting those who surrender. At least that is how Tobian is interpreting the orders.

Putting his datapad away, Tobian got his rifle ready with the cartridge loaded and what not. After a moment of thinking the officer attached his knife to the barrel. Looking to Master Windwalker he wanted to give his input that they should at least stick together as a group until they have gained a good amount of ground, then split up. But seeing that he is not well known yet or as experienced as the other two, Tobian felt that he has no to very little standing to say his thought.

The War Master nodded in approval at Vash’s inquiry, and his enhanced metaphysical senses could pick up the desire to speak in Tobian; not only that, but Kalladrrl noted the way the Lieutenant’s head seemed to look between the two men who were his superiors. The Wookiee grumbled and spoke directly to Tobian.

“Next time you have a suggestion, speak your mind, son,” he said, like a consternated paternal figure. He couldn’t help but appreciate the lieutenant’s commitment to proper decorum, but when the War Master spoke to those who stood beside him or behind him, he expected a response. “I need officers to stand with me and add to our collective expertise, not automata. Got plenty of soldiers without an ounce of initiative in ‘em.” The War Master’s chiding was more didactic than sarcastic, Kalladrrl resisting his natural inclination to escalating tensions with his subordinates.

“Lieutenant Solaris is correct,” he continued without waiting for Tobian’s response, “We should present a united front until we and Judgement forces have established a beachhead, before we spread out. Perhaps we may not have to in the end.” A grim thrill ran through the Wookiee as their ship settled into a docking trajectory, landing amidst the bay like any normal vessel. They were outnumbered for certain, but between forty soldiers and their leadership, Kalladrrl was nonplussed. They would break under their assault.

Environmental seals hissed as the landing ramp descended, and as he led the assembly forward, he held up his right hand, clenched in a fist for the assembled troops rather than his command squad to keep them in place. Kalladrrl could feel the number of customs officers who awaited them outside and he would hold back his soldiers until he cleared the bay for their advance.

As he stumped down the ramp, a detachment of officers awaited him and the Force called to him seductively through his Gauntlet, almost begging Kalladrrl to use it.

He would not deny it.

A human in an official-looking uniform stood at the head of the mixed human and Jefi troop, clearing his throat.

“Sir, this is all highly irregul-”

Kalladrrl cut him off as he pointed with his right hand, projecting his voice and the Force into a wave of terror that issued from him in a propagating cone shape, washing over them all.

“Bring us before the Collector of Customs!” he bellowed, loudspeakers on the ship translating his words for the customs officials even as they panicked and broke ranks without thought of their oaths of service and valor in the face of a Lord of the Sith.

"Troops, move up and out. Command squad forward. If they offer resistance, offer them no mercy in kind."

Like his Wookie superior, Vash could sense the emotions from the young officer. He wanted to voice his ideas but seemed hesitant to speak for fear of...What? In his many years now fighting with the Jedi and the Sith the Nightbringer had never met a military officer of any rank who didn't like to hear the sound of their own voice. He looked to the War Master as he spoke his advice to the young man. Giving only a nod of agreement.

"As you wish War Master." Vash would reply simply. He did not agree with the move but he was an assassin, it was not his way to strike at the front. Vash keen to let the troopers present a show of force while he and the green Lieutenant struck from the flanks or the back. At least it's how Gunner and himself would have done it. But Vash would quickly push the thought out of his mind and focus on the task at hand.

As the ramp lowered, Vash stood had the head and to the right side of the platoon of troopers poised on the cliff's edge to jump at the command of the War Master. He stood, watching the wookie like a fan at a Republic base ball game watching the designated hitter step to the plate.

The force trembled as the Sith Lord roared his demands to be brought the Customs Officials. Causing the officers to scatter like lizard monkeys. Vash would then stride down the ramp, saber hilt in his left hand and thumb on the switch. The force building within him now as he waited for a target to present itself.

Tobian looked to Kalladrrl as the wookie spoke to him directly. It was not thay he doesn't like talking to hear himself talk. He was simply following military decorum on the grounds that he is the new guy in the group, and didn't want to come across as a barely tested know it all since out of the three he lacks experience. The officer took the words the War Master spoke more as a paternal figure or instructor giving him advice for the future. In all honesty, he had no idea if he was allowed to speak even when not spoken directly to or put his two cents in. But now he knows that he is infact allowed to speak when the need to arises. So he bowed his head apologetically, "I will make sure to commit it to memory, Sir."

He does have some knowledge on Sith and Jedi, but learned that he still has a lot to learn when his superior mentioned that he was correct... When Tonian hadn't even mentioned what he was thinking. As equally he was surprised, he thought it was downright awesome. Perhaps later if he has the chance or time to do so he can ask later how the wookie knew what he was thinking.

With the hiss eminating from the ramp as it was lowered, he knew that now he has to focus on the task at hand now instead of the small hiccup. Watching Kalladrrl walk down the ramp so.. Well menacingly to the officers and officials. It proved who is in charge here as Tobian watched from the left side of the ramp. As the roaring Sith Lord made his demands known, the officer did feel a small wave of fear. But no differently than what he felt during the last two missions he was on, something he had grown used to feeling. Watching the officer scatter like a bunch of cockroaches when a light is switched on was a rather amusing sight for sure. Walking down the ramp with the barrel of his rifle in his left hand and the handle in his right with his finger over the trigger. Tobian is ready to get started.

His attack through the Force had been potent and swift, rolling over them like rough surf from the tropical seas of his home; the customs detachment could not have been prepared for their morale and their courage to be assaulted by the War Master of the Sith. He stepped forward, pulling the lightsaber at his right hip into his left hand with a nonchalant application of his esoteric powers, his dueling gauntlet gripping the hilt and flicking the activation stud as a volley of blaster bolts struck the hull of the ship around them and his detachment’s feet.

“So they have elected to fire upon foreign delegates. Repay their hospitality!”

With practiced deftness, the War Master spun into a stray bolt that managed to meander into threatening them from eighty meters away, the horizontal motion of his blade sending the bolt lancing into the unarmored neck of one of their eleven assailants, dropping him with a scream that died as sensitive flesh was cooked by uncaring plasma. With a growing, wordless roar the War Master strode for them, advancing another dozen meters with quick, decisive footfalls, drawing fire for the Nightbringer, the Lieutenant, and the first four troopers that joined them in the docking bay. Metallic klaxons began to blare their bleating cries into the bay and the customs facility. Good. Fear gripped at them, eroding their will already. Kalladrrl would use that and leverage their terror against them. More bolts careened toward him, the War Master blocking shots with the focus of one suffused with the energy of the Dark Side of the Force.

Bolts cut the air round him as a storm of plasma would rain over the Sith. Muscle memory acted before Vash even gave thought to action, his blade was activated and batting away shots with practices reaction. The Nightbringer would then raise his right arm use his gauntlet to draw in the bolts of plasma. The assassin converted that power into powerful ball of force lightning and cast it into a pair of guards like a grenade. Bursting at the feet of the men, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

Vash continued to block and redirect the blaster fire as Kalladrrl seemed to draw fire from him and the others. Sensing the plan, the Sith Master signaled two troopers to follow him. Intending to hide their movement to flank the Nightbringer called the dark side to mask his and the soldiers movements, focusing his attention on the troopers he was unaware of a sniper at the far end of the bay. The bolt from the sniper struck the helmet of the Sith and broke his focus, also cracked the helmet and blocked part of his vision.

The assassin was seething now and focused on his attention on the sniper, a thick smoke would suddenly envelop the assassin and in the blink of an eye he was standing next to the guard. Caught off guard and stricken with free the man froze, and Vash would cut him in two with his blade. Then pulled the damaged helmet from his head, dropping on the two halves of the dead guard.

As bolts cut all around them, well aimed but poor shots at them. The lieutenant ducked a bit as he made his way down the ramp, leading two other troops. As the War Master blocked the bolts, Tobian used that opportunity to lead the small group to a spot in the hangar where there is cover as well as where they can flank those who are fighting back.

Just as the officer and two troopers got behind cover, three assailant came running into the hangar. More yelling than discharging their weapons. But either way they are attacking. Raisinh his rifle, Tobian aimed at one of the attackers and fired two shots into him, one struck the man's knee while the other went to his chest. The two troopers with him took out the other two with well aimed shots.

Tobian noticed that the shots fired from one of the two troopers with him only injured the remaining assailant, whom was reaching for the rifle he had dropped. Without a second thought, the officer fired a single shot to the enemy's head. Watching the body suddenly go still he looked to the two troopers, telling them to improve their aim.

The War Master’s advance up the center continued. He targeted a group of four entrenched security officers, pulling a grenade from his belt, arming it with one hand and tossing it lazily past the barricades that gave them cover. As the grenade traveled, Kalladrrl opened his Gauntled hand and closed it around the four bodies, bringing them into the grenade as cries tore themselves from the Jefi. The explosive was muffled but its effect was spectacular, the four soldiers escalating their screams to howls of pain. The War Master pushed himself forward with the Force in a quick lunge, releasing them as he did but cutting through perforated and exsanguinated bodies with the blood-red blade.

Kalladrrl acted dispassionately; this slaughter was but another chore to him. But these deaths would serve a purpose and he raised his voice once again over the craft’s loudspeakers as eight more troopers filed out and began to take defensive positions to offload the remainder.

“This is what will happen to each and every being we encounter unless you lay down your arms and surrender the Collector!”

Five armed men and women did exactly as the vocabulated voice told them, sprinting out of the chamber even faster than those who he had assailed with a blast of terror. His voice would have carried and any with access to an audio feed from this hangar bay would have heard him as well. The War Master held his blade pointed at the ground by his side, nodding appreciatively as the enemy forces had broken. He strode forward to the security checkpoint that would bottleneck travelers and verify travel paperwork had it not been abandoned. Kalladrrl leaned in to peek around the corner and did not see any troops advancing with their weapons to bear, waving his free hand to indicate the clarity of their course, Judgement soldiers fully debarking as the War Master moved.

He could not help but make a pleased noise in his helmet as the electronic wails of the klaxons wound down. Perhaps the Collector had listened to him, but perhaps not. The Collector had no doubt paid some of the forces on the station handsomely, so Kalladrrl was not certain all had lain down their arms as he had bid them. Selfish beings rarely relented in the end so easily. Their division would serve their conquest well, and Kalladrrl advanced into the main ring. He focused the Force on his senses, expanding them beyond even the levels of a Wookiee, listening to scattered footfalls that vibrated even among the hums of the station working to keep its inhabitants safe from the void. They went this way and that, and the time to split their forces was upon them.

“Master Windrider, Lieutenant,” he signalled through the commlink, producing a datapad and tapping on it even as he held his lightsaber, before he continued, “Take half of the Judgement troopers and take for the central data vault. They’ll move to secure that now. I’ll make my way to the Collector and cut the head off this serpent if his own men don’t do it first.” The War Master wheeled to the right as he tapped his orders to the Judgement soldiers, having five of them hold at the ship.

The War Master didn't seem to have to correct title, War Machine seemed a better title for the army slayer. Vash managed to casually bat away blaster fire while watching the Wookie do his work. In doing that work the man beast managed to make art out of destruction and completely demoralize the defensive security officers, a squad literally tossed away their weapons and surrendered. The heavy lifting done and moral broken, the Nightbringer now lowered his blade and listened carefully to the War Master as he changed the plan.

The data vault that he was speaking was two levels below their current position and Vash highly suspected to be behind blast doors. The assassin would of preferred the flesh target but he was not one to argue over such matters. With the Wookie going in another direction, perhaps the human may get to actually be of use with his skills rather then watching the War Master have all the fun.

"Understood Sir, Lieutenant. Take your those men and make the push. I will support you and augment your attack with the force" he would reply to both men.

War master? More like war terror was what Tobian thought as the officer watched the wookie take down. No. Slaughter the men and women who attacked. The rest losing their morale and running in a mad dash of terror. Lowering his rifle as the war master changed the plan.

Tobian remembered that the data vault is two levels below their position. It is most likely highly protected with some of the resistance gathering there with maybe a few spread out to slow them down. The officer is glad that he will be of some use instead of following Kalladrrl around watching him have all the fun.

Tobian nodded to Vash as the Sith Master gave him instructions, "Yes, Sir." He looked to the Judgement Soldiers and nodding for them to follow him, leading from the front. The way down to the next level was a small ramp. As soon as the officer and three of the troops got to the bottom resisting guards opened fire on them.

Ducking behind a corridor he winced as a bolt clipped his calf while he got behind the corner for cover from the bolts. Glancing around the corner, he counted at least two dozen. A small group of ten stayed behind while the others ran off. Switching his aggressor for his carbine, as he peeked around the corner and fired a single bolt killing one when the bolt went into the guard's head. Two of the troopers took out another two. Aiming again, the lieutenant sent a bolt into an attacker's chest. Two more crumbled as troopers opened fire sending an array of bolts into them.

Tobian tried to aim for another shot but the remaining four ducked out of sight. The officer wondered if it was because they have turned into cowards or if they are waiting to ambush.

The War Master strode mightily, unafraid and proud as security forces scurried away from his approach. The Blackguards took no prisoners, but Kalladrrl was leading troops of the Judgement who did not fire on the fleeing foes. Kalladrrl supposed that differing missions called for differing tactics. The sight of the Champion of the Empress was enough to reinforce what officers had heard passed down to their underlings. The Wookies6 footfalls were momentous and he held his lightsaber loosely to his side and pointed for the metal floor, ready to deflect any attack as he gathered the Force through the Gauntlet. These fools had made a grave mistake not throwing down their arms sooner. Kalladrrl would make the Collector pay for contesting the forces attempting to bring him to justice and as he marched at the head of his column, he fumed with righteous fury, waves of anger that were palpable through the Force radiating off him.

None stood to oppose him. In fact, troopers were breaking ranks the moment they caught sight of his armored bulk, but the War Master was not so easily tricked. Some ran in abject terror, others milled around and broke off in ordered pairs. They were reinforcing the way to the Collector. They would be amassing troopers to waylay him, but Kalladrrl would not be stopped by anything short of a master of the Force. He could tear this station apart with the Gauntlet until he found his target.

But the property damage wouldn't be worth it. Better to keep infrastructure intact when possible.

Minutes passed as he closed on his target, channeling his power and focusing on himself and the way he fit into the greater whole of his surroundings; he burned like a star among those dull in the Force, who did not have the willpower or predisposition to grab its power and use it for themselves. He felt the Nightbringer, like a cold shadow, living in the example of the Eternal.

It was time to focus on the now and what lay ahead, not his elite allies.

Four pairs of security troopers were entrenched behind durasteel barriers; they had prepared for a siege but they had clearly had trouble finding adequate numbers to man the barricade now assailed by a Lord of the Sith. Covering fire blazed from behind the War Master, forcing the soldiers to hide and preventing them from returning fire. He raised his saber in his left hand to cross his body as he summoned a century of pain and years of experience to him, projecting a devastating, twisting column of electricity that traveled for several meters before the tendrils unwound and struck bodies with lethal, licking tendrils of raw power. Seven voices raised themselves to the rafters, the eighth diving back after taking a smaller taste of the War Master’s rage. He pressed the attack for naught more than a few seconds and eighty-seven point five percent of the defenders were eliminated.

The last babbled and sank to his knees as Kalladrrl approached.

“Please! I, I don’t want to fight you!”

The Wookiee pointed inside the threshold. The Jefi nodded hurriedly, and the War Master gestured back through the corridor. He took his chance and ran.

The Sith Lord centered himself, beginning to draw upon the Force again, as he began their final assault.

Tobian watched the remaining four as they seem to be losing their motivation to continue to fight. The lieutenant saw that as his chance to have the men with him advance with a wave of his hand. The resistance fighters looked at the troops with fright, the Kuatian glared at them even though they can't see it due to his helmet, "This is your one chance to surrender." He warned the group of men with a dangerous tone. One of the men put his weapon down followed by the rest of them. Once the four were taken care of the officer led the men away leabing four behind to guard the four resistance fighters who surrendered.

Going down to the next level, Tobian was able to somewhat see the data vault they were sent down to secure. It was a straight walk down the main corridor but as usual, the lieutenant suspected that there are men waiting to ambush since there are connecting hallways that led to the vault as well. So with a specific wave of his hand the troops with him broke up into groups, each taking a different corridor. One group that went left ran into two resistance fighters and so killed them on the spot. Tobian lead a small group down a corridor to his right with a slight limp in his gait. The third group ran down the main corridor to the data vault, facing the hallways that led to the area, creating barriers to protect themselves from enemy fire. They were in a ways the bait to draw out the resistance. The final group was ordered to reinforce the bait group the moment that the reistance showed themselves.

He has no idea how the remaining resistance divided themselves up. But either way the officer decided that breaking up the troops with him into small groups was the best course of action due to all the corridors. But if the plan worked the resistance will be pinned between two groups of troops.

The Sith Master had decided to allow the Lieutenant to take point and push his way into the lower levels. He did, to a point and then commanded his forces to go defensive? It was an odd move, considering they were the invading force. But Vash did not feel the need to correct him or ask why he chose his action. There was little time for such things and the assassin could simply modify his own plans to adjust. If the troopers wanted to be the bait, the Nightbringer would be the trap snapping shut.

As it happened however, all that remained of the men holding security was a squad of six men as poorly armed as those that were being used as little more then entertainment for the War Master above. Vash used the cover of the Imperial troops to allow himself to blend into the background of the corridors and allow the shadows and sounds and flashes of the alarms to become his camouflage. Once hidden from plane sight the assassin moved between the security forces as they moved toward the barriers in a leaping lizard monkey like maneuver.

The lieutenant's forces opened fire to engage, squad broke ranks and split into teams of two as they tried to flank the Sith forces. The center group would be cut down by the troopers in good time, so Vash concentrated on the others. As the first group broke right and headed down the corridor, Vash ignited his sabers and pounced, stabbing one guard from his left side up into his lungs before pulling the blade free. His partner turning on the Vash and firing once before the assassin could use the gauntlet. The bolt striking the Sith in the chest.

The Nightbringer simply throw the other saber at the man, using the force to spin it into a plasma saw. Bisecting the guard at his nipple line. The Sith Master then called his weapon back to his hand and turned to give chance to the other flaking team. The force feeding his body energy, Vash moved with the speed of a swoop bike. Clearing the corridors to find the the security team pinned by his own forces.

Vash simply used the force to pull the weapons from the men and toss them away. Having little other option, the two men surrendered. But the assassin was not finished with them, and cut both unarmed men down as they raised their hands. Leaving the last two for the Lieutenant, the Sith Master turned his attention to the data vault.

Some may say that his decision to go defensive was either not a smart move or an odd maneuver. But in Tobian's view, going in with guns blazing is not always a good idea. Not when they don't know the exact where abouts of the enemy. Strategy is always necessary in this type of situation.

When his forces routed out and engaged with the enemy forces, effectively luring out where the resistance fighters were among the network of corridors. Now they are able to take them out. Tobian shot down a couple with two bolts fired into two enemy troops. The remaining were taken out by his troops and Vash taken care of some himself. With only two left the lieutenant knew that they had won this round, the two remaining resistance foolishly raised their weapons to fire. Earning them being shot point blank in the chest by Tobian as he fired two bolts into them.

The lieutenant looked to the Sith Master as he turned his attention to the data vault. There are no more resistance so it is loud and clear that the data vault is secure. Pulling out his comlink he turned away from Vash, "War Master Kalladrrl, Sir." Tobian began, "The data vault is secure. Awaiting further orders, Sir. Is there anything else that needs to be secured?" He knew that there is nothing else that needed to be secured. But who knows if the War Master has learned of another possible target. Never hurts to make sure anyways.

The War Master stepped through the threshold with the Force held tight, but the Gauntlet would avail him no further. He could feel the stress he had put upon the construct and so it would be his unaugmented power that would serve him in this last engagement. As he approached, he caught sight of four armored guards, and in an instant he reached out with telekinesis for two of them. However, Kalladrrl had not been prepared for them to react so quickly to his attack, and he only managed to restrain one before three others were shooting bolts at him.

Kalladrrl threshed his lightsabers hither and yon, skillfully deflecting the bolts back to those who had assaulted him, adjusting the angles of his sabers at their source to block as efficiently as possible, blaster fire burning holes in the armor of troopers not accustomed to fighting those who wielded the Force as their weapon. He stepped forward as he redirected the bolts with his sabers, searing flesh and leaving his opponents dead. As his nose became accustomed to the burning smell within the Collector’s office, a new and yet familiar scent caught his attention.

The smell of Jefi fear.

Kalladrrl’s thudding, deliberate footfalls only intensified the stench of terror in the luxurious executive suite. Being the Collector of Customs had perks the Collector clearly enjoyed, such as levying whatever tax rate they saw fit at the moment and distributing it to loyal troops that had proven no defense against the War Master of the Sith. The smell emanated from beneath an expansive desk of real wood, the cost to ship it from the planet likely exorbitant, padding the pockets in a web of graft that had ensnared this place with its corrupt wickedness.

No more.

He circled around to the desk and a shaky, shoddily aimed blaster bolt careened from a pistol. Kalladrrl needed merely move his head to the side to dodge it, and he rolled his eyes in his helmet as he ripped it from the Collector’s hands with the Force, throwing it aside before he gripped the sorry sod by the neck with his otherworldly power, hauling him from his hiding spot and hoisting them in the air.

“Please...I...I’ll cooperate!” sputtered the Jefi woman. Kalladrrl frowned within his helmet at her cheek and her revolting desperation.

“You forfeited that chance when you had your security forces turn their weapons upon my soldiers. You might have sued for mercy, but instead you fired upon a foreign dignitary and declared war upon the Empire.”

“I...surrender!” she cried as the grip was maintained on her neck, her fists beating futilely at it. Kalladrrl held her there as her face changed color, her movements growing more frantic but also less coordinated, sluggishness filling her as her brain was deprived of oxygen, until she was still. He let her body crumple to the floor.

“I accept,” he said to the empty room, laughing once at his own malicious wit. Kalladrrl bent over her body, fishing out an access card to the terminal on her desk. A few moments worth of typing passed as he updated credentials, ordering station defenses to stand down as he granted a new user administrative rights to station systems. Xornoth would be pleased, as pleased as Kalladrrl was when Tobian reported about the data vault being secure.

“Negative, Lieutenant. Reinforcements are inbound. Our work here is complete.” His returned communique was short and brusque as was his nature, and he decided to follow up. “Magnificently done, the both of you,” he commlinked to Vash and Tobian, his voice genuine but the compliment rendered flat by the translation.
