Perched from his transparisteel window, Galek watched as his shuttle dipped into low orbit, beginning its lazy descent towards the spaceport of Drev’starn. The cosmopolitan capital of Bothuwai was - naturally - a familiar place for the Vice President, considering it hosted one ofhis only offices away from Christophsis or Indupar. As one of their founding members and home to the Spynet, Bothuwai had already been a heavily prioritized planet - a face further reflected in the defensive fleet that hovered within the system.

Galek had no doubt that the Consortium territory was safe from outside threats. Rather, it was their own internal turmoil that worried the Prince - and ultimately drove him to make an appearance on the planet.

For weeks, members of the executive leadership had grappled with dissent across Consortium space. Secessionist movements had taken root on Corelia and Kessel, and threatened to spread like wildfire. Despite being nestled deep in the core of loyal ISC territory, Galek knew how easily the wind could change. The loss of a planet like Bothuwai would be devastating, and surrounding planets would likely make decisions in line with their most important neighbor. If they were to keep their government from fracturing apart, this would be their staging ground in that effort.

Galek had already reached out to fellow members of the Consortium, rallying encouraging them to make a presence. Their present situation required all hands on deck, and having multiple members of leadership on Bothuwai would only make their job - meeting with members of the Bothan Council - easier.

The moment his shuttle came to a halt, Galek began to march down the chromium-plated ramp, hazel eyes flicking down to his chrono to check the time. The Vice President was dressed in his usual, regal attire - donning an
emerald Sherwani with gold dupatta and accessories. His dark hair was neatly combed and styled, while the air was scented sweet with his cologne.

For the moment, Galek waited for his fellow members of government to arrive - already contacting the shuttle that would transport them to the Council Chambers. They still had a few minutes to burn before being late, but the Vice President would happily move along if his colleagues proceeded to drag their feet.
