Seeing that two of his three companions where now out of communication range, the Trandoshan shook his head, trying to focus on the mission ahead without worrying too much about Vespisian...And failing "Damn it...I ssshouldn't have brought him to sssuch a complicated misssion...he isss not experienced enough in thisss job" He muttered to himself softly, showing signs of having emotioms for the first time in a while. He couldn't just stand around, though, it was time to hunt the bastard.

Sunverkh would stick inspect there was no one aiming in his direction, making sure no one on the top of the carriages were pointing at him at the moment, after doing so, he would move towards the next carriage, taking cover before opening its door and then clearing it if anyone was there. After that, he would close the door behind him and take cover on the side of the door once again before opening the other door in order to look out and see if anyone was pointing in his direction, this done with extreme precaution, thanks to that, he would be able to spot the crime lord and his lackey as fast as they would, Sunverkh would start shooting, three blaster bolts would fly and pass through the door of the last carriage, hitting no one unless one of them got out of cover to try and shoot back, Sunverkh would obviously take cover in the side of the door if he ever saw any blaster bolts coming his way, being far enough to be able to react, but he would keep.peeking until they shot at him, waiting for the chance to take one of them out.

Aks-Ree tutted in annoyance as he glanced out from around the cover to see one of their attackers making their way down the carriages. Thankfully for Aks-Ree, there was still no reason for him to do anything more than peak around the cover, not pulling himself out of cover enough to be in danger of the three shots down the middle of the doorway, when needs be to keep an eye on their enemy.

"Let him move." he advised his ally, "Throw a grenade when he's moving up... now!"

Once his ally had thrown the grenade, Aks-Ree would lean out from a crouched position, lower than the shots fired by the enemy expected him to be, to fire two shots from his blaster pistol at the enemy ( @Versok ) as they would attempt to move up. Both shots were aimed at the torso, his blaster a heavy damage type that would do massively painful damage with even one hit through armour. Two would be death for this fool. While Jhess was attempting to dodge these shots however, he would also need to deal with whatever attack his ally had thrown at him.

Aks-Ree hoped that it was a grenade but more fire from two different sources would do just as well he supposed.

The guard in the turret atop the engine car, meanwhile, thought he heard something and went to turn but it was too late. The blaster bolts would take his head clean off of his shoulders, killing him instantly.

Markus had kept his eye through the carriages, able to see as one of the intruders made his way into the cabin. As his boss, the enforcer had no reason to do anything more than just peak around the corner, not exposing his armored body long enough to be vulnerable to the three blaster bolts fired. He nodded at Aks-Ree' suggestion, taking a fragmentation grenade out from his belt and flicking the pin outwards. He quickly leaned in a crouched position from the right, his torso and head considerably lower than the anticipated trajectory of shots his enemy could fire and hurled the grenade towards the Trandoshan's position. @Versok

Simultaneously to Aks-Ree firing off two bolts, Markus quickly leaned once more in a crouched position out of cover, firing two bolts from his Shriek-Hawk towards the lower half of Sunverkh's body.

Sunverkh was not in a very difficult position at that moment, the crime lord thought he would advance, but the Trandoshan's procedure had been very slow and safe, the moment he saw those two he stayed inside the carriage so he could take cover if they shot back at him, but instead the blue one threw a grenade at him so he simply closed the carriage's door in the time it took him to throw it and before it got inside, so...the grenade would simply bounce off the door and fall from the train through the gaps between the carriages, the blaster fire that came after would hit the door so he didn't need to do anything about it. "The target and one of his men are in the last carriage, bounce one in" He announced to his droid partner through the comms while this all happened and before opening the door again, which would happen almost after they finished shooting.

However, since Aks-Ree and Markus both decided to lean at the same time in a crouched position in order to shoot through such a tight spot, they would definetly bump into each other, probably headbutting each other and losing balance in one way or another, which would allow the Trandoshan to peek safely (This time from the other side just so they would not know exactly where to shoot at just in case) And shoot with his carbine six times with a span of half a second between each shot, at stomach height (So it would hit the head if they leaned while being crouched) If one of the shots hit Sunverkh would be happy, but for now, this was simply supressive fire.

After dispatching the turret gunner, the top of the maglev was now secure. The assassin droid turned around and carefully made his way from the front car with the turret and stretched across to the second maglev car. Based on the trandoshan’s position below him and the blasterfire coming from inside, H5PAD knew the opposition was further in the car. That is why it was not concerned about attack—the angle simply would not allow them to see him atop the second car. But of course, that also meant that he had no line of sight to them either.

Over the tied-in comlink, the trandoshan conveyed, "The target and one of his men are in the last carriage, bounce one in."

"Confirmed."

Deducting the trandoshan’s meaning, H5PAD, reached down to the second grenade along its waist, which was designated as a concussion grenade. Quickly, the droid deduced their approximate location within the car based on the sound of the blaster fire and the appearance of the bolt. While it was an imperfect methodology, he did seem to hypothesize they were much further back in the maglev. A concussion grenade was perfect for detonation…in a big metal box. Clicking the grenade, the H5PAD squatted down for a better angle, let the grenade cook until there were 2.4353 seconds left on its timer. Sidearming the grenade, the H5PAD threw it inside, bouncing it off the floor so it would bounce right to the back of the car and explode.

H5PAD timed it so that blaster fire was being exchanged from both sides. It would be hard to notice the sound of the grenade hitting the deck of the car over the blaster fire. In addition, it would be hard to see amidst the concentration needed to aim and fire a blaster under duress. With his blaster pistol still ready in his right hand, his left hand went immediately to his frag grenade, ready to follow-up if needed. Its eyes were glued to the door to the front car in the event something unforeseen occurred, ready to inch back or duck as needed.

Aks-Ree ducked behind cover again the moment it became apparent that the lizard was going to be firing at them - he wasn't exactly committed to anything big so it was hardly a chore. The doorway was wide enough for both himself and Markus to lean out after all, it wasn't like they had both thrown their entire bodies in the doorway - that would be rather foolish.

The grenade passed him by and Aks cursed before sticking to his cover. His face was turned away from the grenade so the flash wouldn't blind him but the helmet he was wearing would do little against the ringing.

Thankfully he was still in cover and none of the enemies had a line of sight on him through which to immediately exploit the fact that he would be deafened. Not being blinded however, Aks was still able to keep his blaster pistol at the ready and he would fire on anyone who moved to come in through the doorway or became visible through the doorway.

He didn't move however, not wanting to risk his balance with how the grenade had messed with his ears.

The doorway definitely wide enough for both armored mandalorians to lean out and then lean quickly back in for cover; and as such, shortly after he had fired his two bolts, he moved back into cover and watched as bolts fired by the Trandoshan flew inside and other scattered against the barriers. "Kark!" He snarled, watching as the concussion grenade rolled past him; snapping his head to the side, he avoided the disrorientation and blinding that would have come from a full blow but definitely felt the tinnitus aftermath inside his helmet. Remaining crouched, he reached upwards behind the doorway, and using the door as a barrier quickly slid it shut in front of them.

This would ensure their assailants would have to breach the door in order to enter, granting them a severe advantage in that case. Placing his hand over his head to curtail some of the persisting ringing he turned his attention to Aks-Ree,
"You okay Boss?"

H5PAD, with the fragmentation grenade already in his hand, activated the device and sidearmed the explosive device, attempting to place it inside before the door before it closed, close to the front where the pair were using cover. It was an instantaneous reaction that almost immediately followed the throw of the concussion grenade, taking advantage of the slow reaction of the two targets from the concussion blast earlier. As soon as the grenade was in the air going towards the inside of the front car, the assassin droid triggered his jetboots and stepped across the gap to the front car. Calculating mission success probabilities, H5PAD would decide whether to stay with the train or use his jetboots to egress…

While the concussion grenade detonated, the Trandoshan prepared himself, he got out of cover yet again and pointed in their direction,
four bolts would come in rapid sucession before Aks-Ree had the chance to shoot at him , all of them almost going through the door and hitting the end of the carriage once again, more supressive fire that made it very difficult for Aks-Ree to shoot without getting hit, the Trandoshan didn't tell H5PAD to throw the fragmentation grenade, but since he threw it right after the other one it would most likely reach its destination, the Trandoshan's shots now made it more likely that the grenade would go unnoticed as well, even if they did, it would be very difficult for them to try to catch the grenade as well, the crime lord was taking cover and therefore not looking in the direction of the grenade and Markus was reaching for the door, they would probably not be able to hear it bounce either and, even if they noticed the grenade, it would explode before they did anything about it, if they ever tried to get out of the carriage Sunverkh and H5PAD would quickly take care of them, they had no way of getting out of their situation. After the door was closed Sunverkh would get out of cover and sprint towards the first carriage, if he ever saw the door open, he would shoot a couple more times to prevent them from escaping the grenade or shooting back at him.

Aks-Ree was a seasoned professional and he had the reflexes to prove it.

When the grenade came on in, he spotted it as it flew through the air past him and into the carriage. As it hadn't been cooked like the concussion grenade, he had precious seconds with which to respond. Rather than waste time firing at either of the enemies now that the door was closing, Aks instead kicked out with his foot to try and get the grenade further away from them.

Unfortunately it exploded.

Aks-Ree screamed as his left leg disappeared below the knee, his right leg also having whole chunks of it be blasted apart. He felt a few punctures from the shrapnel elsewhere but his main issue was with his legs; both of them were now nothing but gushing stumps of blood in essence.

"Oh gods... oh gods my legs! My karking legs!"

The pirate and bounty-target was rapidly bleeding out from his wounds and quickly descending into shock.

Markus believed their grave danger was over as the effects of the concussive grenade ended, but that optimism ended as the door slid to a close and a fragmentation grenade rolled inside just in time. "Oh Kark!" He yelled, his armored torso leaped towards the left side behind Aks-Ree. Let's be honest, there was no true loyalty in these lines of work and the enforcer's allegiance to his crime lord ended when his paycheck wouldnt be able to cash physical injuries. The explosive epicenter narrowly missed him as he had the Gran's armored body in front of him to capture the blunt of the damage while the sheer force from the explosion was enough to hurl him backwards and into the closed door with an unwelcoming thud. His skull smashed against the inside of his T-shaped visor as the helm itself banged against the electronics panel. Adding salt to the previous concussive injury, this further exacerbated his damage and knocked the pantoran unconscious for a brief moment. Shrapnel slashed against parts of his armored torso, thigh plates, and forearms but narrowly missed vital organs, causing mostly mild to moderate flesh injuries.

As Aks-Ree was succumbing to shock from his injuries, his enforcer lay behind him, alive but significantly dazed as the unconsciousness wore off.

Maglev – Front Car

H5PAD heard the after effects of the fragmentation grenade, barely detecting the shouting after the explosion, but the droids audio receptors could not make out specifics due to the howling wind. There were more objectives to accomplish and judging by the sound of it, mission success probability depended on speed. With the gription boots doing their work, the assassin droid came to the hatch near the front of the train engine. Based on the layout of the train, H5PAD knew the driver would be almost right underneath him when he raised the hatch. With his blaster pistol still in his right hand, the droid squatted down, reached over, and slid his smoke grenade to a position on its belt where it could be quickly accessed with one motion. With its left hand, the assassin droid quickly turned the securing mechanism on the top hatch and threw the access back. Below H5PAD, the assassin droid knew the driver should be right in its sights as soon as the hatch was opened. As soon as the driver was visible, the assassin droid would fire off three shots to ensure the kill.

Whether the driver was visible or not, H5PAD would cook the smoke grenade and toss it down in the last car to obscure visibility, once smoke filled a portion of the car, H5PAD dropped down into the car, immediately flattening to the side, registering any movement from his motion detectors and correlating firing solutions, not to kill the pair, but certainly to kill the driver if he was not already dead...

Sunverkh would be standing in front of the carriage shortly after the door closed, the explosion made it clear to him that the droid had thrown another grenade at them, one that did real damage, the Trandoshan would take that advantage, he quickly pulled his carbine away, holding his blaster set to stun instead, and opened the door. After that, the Trandoshan bounty hunter would simply get in, giving the two criminals little time to recover, having the two of them in line of sight before Markus would be able to realize and react. Four stun shots would come at point blank, all of them aimed towards the head, the Pantoran would surely be knocked out if they hit, which was the most likely outcome since he was not in position to react to them, much less fight back.

While Markus was sleeping and the droid was having a smoke party in the front part of the carriage, Sunverkh gazed at a seriously injured Aks-Ree and headshot him with the stun blaster as well, it was veeery unlikely that Aks-ree was able to do anything dangerous, going into shock after the grenade and all that, but the Trandoshan didn't want to take chances...and the crime lord pissed him off. After doing this, he tore up different parts of his clothing with his claws and use them as rags to do two tourniquets, one for each leg, in order to stop the external bleeding and buy precious minutes to save his life "I've got the target, but he isss very hurt, I am taking him to the hospital to tend hisss woundsss more properly, I'll come back for you, sssleeping beauty over here and our other two partnersss, don't kill thisss one, I have plansss for him" Sunverkh shouted so the droid could hear him, taking Aks-ree heavy blaster to put a good use to it in the future and then carrying him all the way to the last carriage, where he saw Aks-ree's escape vehicle, he would put the crime lord on the back seat(taking away his weapons, of course) and then drive the vehicle at full speed towards his ship and then to the closest hospital.

So, Sunverkh was happy, they captured Aks-ree alive and had his right hand as well, while the Trandoshan wasn't planning on handing over the Pantoran, he knew the Mandalorians were going to pay him a lot for his hunt. Of course, Sunverkh wouldn't be so happy after finding out that his best friend was dead buuut...He would have to cope with that later.

Thread end attempt/
