NAME:
Brakin Nar
FACTION: Republic Military
RANK:
General
SPECIES: Khil
AGE: 58
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6 feet
WEIGHT: 215 lbs
EYES: Indigo
HAIR: None
SKIN: Grey-green
CREDITS: Numerous amounts in various banks
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Many battle scars
DOMINATE HAND: Right
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTH: 5/10. Many years separate the present and the days where General Nar was on the front lines, thus making training no longer necessary.
DEXTERITY:
4/10. Acrobatics was never a strong suit of Nar’s.
CONSTITUTION: 6/10. While not on his deathbed, it is obvious that General Nar doesn’t have too many decades left.
INTELLIGENCE: 8/10. Years of commanding forces and studying great warlords of the galaxy have made him a very tactical individual.
WISDOM: 10/10. Always able to calculate virtually every potential outcome of an action, and applying philosophy and politics to his war strategies, he is no doubt an excellent advisor.
CHARISMA: 10/10. A true war hero of the Republic as well as his home world, he is idolized by his people and respected (albeit despised) by his enemies.

SKILLS:
Basic Strategy. Multi-terrain strategy. Politics. Economics. Demolitions. Intelligence Analyzing. Encryption/decryption.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
None

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
General Nar lives up to his title with impeccable prowess. A wise and savvy individual, Nar is as much of a political powerhouse as a militaristic one. Spending much of his time studying economics, religion, politics, etc., General Nar’s importance is as equally great in times of peace as it is in those of war.

PETS: Sabi, a female Acklay that General Nar used to ride into battle in past wars. Over time they grew fond of eachother, and while Nar still rides her all night long, he keeps her away from the battlefield. Yes, the General does not hesitate to mount her and ride her. Sometimes the ride is so great he shouts out her name in praise. Occasionally it gets a bit rough when she doesn't want to cooperate, though that is rare, as she loves being ridden by Brakin Nar.*

*(edited for Ols's sake. but in all seriousness, he does have a pet acklay that he rides)

PERSONALITY:

General Nar is patriotic to an extent that borders madness. He loves the Republic (and by the Republic, the Republic’s leader) above all else. A strong supporter of a totalitarian government, General Nar views civil rights as illusions given to the public that are merely there to keep the populace ignorant. As such, he has no belief in the rules of war. The ends justify the means and the only thing that matters is victory. However, a man that thinks forty six steps ahead in a game of dejarik, Nar can see the outcomes of his actions and addresses the situation accordingly so to guarantee a permanent victory, not a temporary one.

HISTORY:

Eh, I’m something special. That much I can tell you. I can also tell you that you'd die if you made a false move in my presence. I love my post, more than you love your life, and I love the freedom it provides me. The Chancellor gives me one order: Win. That is all I ever hear: win. So how the battle is won is at my discretion, so long as I don't loose such a wonderful privilege.

I am a war hero. You know this by now, I'm sure, yet many might call me a war criminal if they knew the truth. Those pacifist bastards don't understand what it takes to win a war! Have I ever lost a conflict? No! Have I ever made a gambit that didn't pay off? No! Have I ever broken the 'rules of war'? Yes. Oh yes. Many times I did what was necessary to rid the Republic of its enemies! But have my actions ever come back in a negative way? No. They have not. Never have I been charged with a war crime, never have my men leaked confidential information, and never has there been disorder in the ranks since I've been in control of them!

No, what happens on the battlefield stays on the battlefield. If the battlefield so happens to be a city, than the witnesses are discredited and then killed. Trials? Those are merely false formalities to appease the public. No, I know what is best for them. Dissidents in the Republic? Connoisseurs of free speech? They are dealt with before they are capable of swaying the minds of others. Of course only if necessary.

So far my crimes have not even become rumors. Only the highly informed know of this, a few Jedi for instance, yet they know what will happen if they spread the message. I can wage no war on the Jedi who preach the truth, but those who follow the message will be killed, and no Jedi wants the deaths of innocents on his or her conscience.

My life has been war. From the moment I was born, I was a warrior. My father was a general on Belnar, and he entered me into the world of the military as soon as possible. At age nine I was left in the care of a Human on Alderaan. There were only three of us under his tutelage, yet we heard that our parents paid credits in the hundreds of thousands for his teaching. I was his favorite, which was entirely my doing. I sabotaged the other boys' studies so they would fail their exams, and it was out of this I learned my most valuable lessons.

I was only caught once, during one of my first attempts at defeating my fellow students. Finding their homework and altering the answers caused my master to beat me severly and demand two more payments from my parents. They were outraged as well, yet did not pull me from his schooling. The lesson became clear: perception is everything. If I hadn't have been caught, then nothing would have been perceived, and nothing would have happened.

This philosophy grew in me more as we studied military tactics. During scenarios of battle, I was the only one to make perfect gambits and see their benefits. Once we delved into politics, I was the only one to relate them impeccably to war. I think this was why I was the sole graduate of this man's teachings ten years later.

Out of this I learned that war NEVER ends. When a government is not at war with another, it is at war with its people. Sometimes, and it is not rare, it is at war with both simultaneously. I learned to combat both.

I was lucky that I did not lose my skill once I joined the Republic's army. I had to start at the bottom, as everyone else, and as such my superior knowledge had to be ignored for a certain amount of time. I coped, however, and became a physical warrior. Those times bore me, as nearly all of my free time was spent enhancing my strategy rather than my brute force.

In the end it paid off. I quickly rose in the ranks due to outstanding leadership abilities. I could beat fifteen men with five, fourty five with fifteen, and so on. My men never questioned my authority, as I treated them with respect. They trusted in my greater wisdom on the battlefield. I was soon under private employment of the Chancellor while retaining my military status. Special "favors" as they were had to be carried out. Small disputes were taken care of by elite squadrons headed by myself. They were never publically announced, part of which was because the losing side could, and most likely would, draw emotional aid.

I never lost a front during war, and my crimes never became public. I could justify them in the eyes of my men, and keep them silent without much effort. The murder of innocents was sometimes very effective in combat: enemies would become enraged, lose their head, and as such ruin their strategies.

Though I also learned when not too. Too many witnesses lowered my odds of secrecy, and as such, I played by the book. Victory was still guaranteed, it was just a harder goal to accomplish. If my actions were going to come back and make the Chancellor look bad, then I did not do them. Only when I knew that he was safe of my own crimes did I commit them. Out of this, many corrupt individuals were born: credits can sway the mouths of many.

[FONT=&quot]But regardless, this is for you only to know. For everyone else? I am as I said: I am a war hero. I am an undefeated champion of the Republic. I am a beloved commander and feared enemy. I am loyal companion and servent of the Chancellor. I am General Brakin Nar, whom you will respect.

Sorted.

That made me smirk. Sorry, unfortunate choice of wording. :CHappy:

What? lol. Kit like him or something?

Yup. I heartily approve of this guy! I wouldn't mind RPing with him with my Commodore, to be honest... I think they'd work well, albeit with regular arguments vis a vis morality!
