PRIMARY EXPORT(S)

Services
Coruscant, as large as it is, has very little in the variety of tangible exports. Having been plundered for whatever resources the planet held during her prehistoric days, Coruscant has little as far as physical exports go. Instead, Coruscant exports services, whether they be financial, legal, political, or elicit, professions of all kinds can be found on Coruscant. In addition, Coruscant is the economic and trade powerhouse of the galaxy, hosting all kinds of corporations, headquarters, and universities.

IMPORT(S)
Production Materials | Manufactured Goods
Coruscant, while it is an economic powerhouse, produces very little on-world. Neccessary materials for construction, as well as pre-manufactured goods and supplies.
Food Stuffs
Being ecumenopolis world, Coruscant has little to no room for agriculture. As such, Food Stuffs are a major import to feed the 1 Trillion+ Inhabitants of the planet, as well as stock the endless amount of restaurants and bars that fill the planet.
Medical Supplies
Similarly, very little is manufactured on Coruscant, including medical supplies and medicines. While many of the Galaxy's top medicines are designed and engineered on Coruscant, they are manufactured off world and imported.
History

Forging Coruscant
Historic records from the early days of Coruscant aren't well kept enough to be historically certain as to what occurred, or what shape the planet was in. As far as records indicate the planet was one large continent of land that took up a little over three quarters of the planet. Mythology recorded by early Coruscanti dictates a race of warrior like beings that co-existed along with the Human population of Coruscant. For centuries records indicate that these species coexisted together. However ultimately tensions arose. This other species, referred to by many different names, but most often as Tauun, were nomad and few in numbers, but far physically superior to the humans. Boasting longer lifespans, and greater strength, the Tauun began to slowly hold disdain and disgust for the Humans due to their inferiority. As tensions broke into all out fighting, mass violence outbreaks were common between the two races. The Treaty of Corsci was ultimately passed, in which the Tauun and the Humans split the planet in half. Though they agreed to split the planet, it resulted in a century of tension and cold war. During that century the humans, rapidly reproducing, began overpopulating their half, building mutli-floor buildings, and boring into the ground to house citizens, and store goods. Greedy in nature, the Humans began spilling over the border into Tauun territory when they ran out of space.
The Tauun War
As the humans began encroaching on Tauun territory, the Tauun became increasingly aggressive, threatening invasion and violence. When the humans failed to heed warnings, the Tauun acted swiftly. Sending a covert military unit in during the dead of night, they bombed one of the trespassing civilian residential area, destroying the entire population center, and murdering hundreds of thousands. This sparked the Tauun war which spanned eight years. The war went back and forth between both sides, neither side able to secure and hold onto a victory streak very long. Both sides began to feel the pains of war, with the Tauun thinning their population greatly, and the financial sector of the Human nation began to worry about the results of sustained war on their economy.

Peace Accords and Betrayal
As both sides became wary with the ongoing war, the opposing became open to peace talks. After multiple talks an agreement was made, the humans, vastly superior in their intellect and innovation than the Tauun, would provide transit via their extra-planetary vehicles, currently just propulsion based rockets, to Centax-1. The Tauun, being nomadic, weren't bothered too greatly by the mass-move, and the Humans, rich in credits, were entirely willing to throw credits at the problem until it went away. The Tauun, wary of trap, agreed to send their population in waves as to not allow themselves to be entirely vulnerable, a smart play, but not enough. The humans, fearing that the Tauun would return in greater numbers to wipe them out, had planned an expert deception. Creating falsified scanners, the Humans supposedly 'tracked' the Tauun as they traveled. Lying to the Tauun that communications equipment would ruin the navigation systems, the Tauun agreed to watch from scanners systems instead of staying in contact with their ships. As soon as the first rocket was out of sight of the planet, technicians on the ground activated a hidden bomb within it, destroying the rocket and its inhabitants. The Tauun agreed to send more of their people in the rockets, seeing no deception. Ultimately all that was left on Coruscant was the ruling council and very few civilians. During the dead of night, on the Eve of one of the Tauun's most holy religious holiday, Human soldiers marched into the Tauuni capital and massacred the remaining Tauun, catching them offguard, and severely outnumbered. With the Taaun out of the way, the humans quickly demolished the little infrastructure the Tauun had in their country, and assimilated it into the Human nation, founding the planetary nation of Coruscant.
Forging A Titan
After the end of the Tauun war Coruscant rapidly evolved into a megalith of a planet, with the humans spreading along what had been Tauuni territory. With more resources at their disposal the humans' innovations flourished. Quickly conquering space flight, they began a colonization mission, sending ships to the nearby planets in what would become known as the Core. To their surprise, many of these planets were already inhabited with humans and various other species. This lead to mass immigration between worlds, as all of these worlds now became aware of the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Intent

This profile seeks to serve as a standard by which players can view, and interact with Coruscant during DoTR. By outlining major cities, as well as a comprehensive government structure and detailed history, this profile should provide players with an interesting, yet familiar landscape in which to base their stories. Basic use is open to any and all roleplayers, though major changes to things such as cities, or government In Character would need to include myself, as I currently play the head of state for the planet. However I am willing to work with any player to build stories around Coruscant, and perhaps change the shape of such things.

Hey! Just letting you know, you'll probably have to get the flechette shotgun approved through the tech board. You'll also probably have to do the same with anything that can last in vacuum.

That's fair. If and when Clayton gets around to looking at tech again, I'll have him look it over. I'm not gonna do a write-up cuz I already have two pending submissions and I'm pretty sure that's the limit. Seriously, when is he gonna get around to doing that stuff? :\

EQUIPMENT & INVENTORY

SASHA
Sasha is an autogun with its underslung grenade launcher, though the weapon is more than a piece of equipment. Sasha is heavy; much heavier than a normal lasgun or autogun. Around her barrel is wrapped cloth and purity seals, one of the wax seals placed perfectly where Hans' thumb gripped the weapon when he shouldered it. Battle-worn, foe-felled, combat-tested; this weapon is a worthy one, with a venerable Machine Spirit.

SIGURD
Sigurd is an autopistol, fully automatic and bloodthirsty. Sasha gets to do most of the killing, but Sigurd will always be there for Hans when he has run out of ammo for Sasha. Sigurd is vicious, and always fires with a terrible ripping sound, the Machine Spirit always hungry for its next meal.

HRUNTING

While no more than an old combat knife, Hans' superstitious tendencies have taught him that a weapon without a name is one that might as well kill you instead of your enemy. Hrunting has its handle wrapped in a long litany scroll with a purity seal of dark red way. The thin wrapping was bestowed upon the weapon after it was used by Hans' to save the life of a Ministorum Priest, the weapon's blade piercing the foul and marked skin of a Heretic Traitor who had charged into the trench in order to gain glory from their false gods.

HANS' DEATH SUIT
A rather cynical and morbid name for it, Hans' Death Suit is the standard kit of a Grenadier from his old Death Korps Regiment; Black Carapace Plating, Black Trench Coat, and his standard respirator gear w/ black colouration. His respirator, rather than a standard gas mask, is in fact a skull mask. The ghostly white skull motif reminds his enemies and his comrades of how imminent death always is. Any death in the name of The Emperor is one that shall never be in vain.

BIOGRAPHY

Erick's childhood? He had none. He was another nameless boy in the underground hives of the world of Krieg. His life up until the annual tithe of his 18th year of life was all but nonexistent. He was taught how to read, but only ever practiced with maintenance handbooks, operations manuals, and The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer. He was taught to write, but only what would be necessary for field-scribing on the frontlines, when recording machines were not available. However, he was taught how to field strip every weapon of an Imperial Guardsman in under 60 seconds. He was taught how to hit a target with near perfect accuracy at 500 meters with an inaccurate stubgun. He was taught how to live for The Emperor, fight for The Emperor, and die for The Emperor. Everything else was secondary to his ability to serve the Imperium of Man, to atone for the sins of his fathers and their fathers before them.

The tithe was as it had been any other year. The regiments were raised and they got their assignments; the most hostile, toxic, and worthless wars of attrition known to the Imperium. The first world Hans found himself fighting on was a death world could Seranus. The world was toxic, with pools of sulfuric acid and steam vents breaking the monochromatic grey mud and dirt that covered the nearly frozen world, acid rain dousing the landscape, reshaping it, and then becoming close to freezing again before pooling into new lakes.. Dark Eldar had decided to set up a warp gate on this world, thinking they could slowly bleed the world of its usefulness. The 127th Death Korps found itself in a long and protracted war spanning nearly two years. Only two companies remained in the end; a total of only about 300 Kriegers were left alive after victory was declared.

The next world was just almost worst than the last. The world had been overrun by Orks who thought they'd pull of a WAAAGH! whilst the Imperium wasn't looking. They were almost right. A siege took place, the regiment's remains joined by 3 other near full regiments. All of the forces of the Astra Militarum found themselves entrenched with shelling being nothing more than a fact of life, whether it was friendly or otherwise. Hans and a handful of other from his regiment were all that were left when all was said and done. That was when the 97th Conglomerate picked him up.

A regiment made up out of the consolidated remains of countless other regiments whose losses were too great to recover from, the 97th Conglomerate was a regiment made completed out of veterans from other wars across the Imperium, proving themselves as one of the most effective shock troop regiments in the galaxy. Hans fought countless wars with them, but when news reached him that his homeworld was the resting place of the foul, undead Xenos known as the Necrons, he immediately requested a transfer back to Krieg.

His commanding officer allowed this, and so Erick Hans returned home, but not to the home he knew.

PERSONALITY

Quiet. Cynical. Terse. Abrasive. Superstitious. Morbid.

All of these words, and hundreds more, have been used to describe Erick Hans. A man known for holding sometimes absurd superstitions and beliefs as though they came from The Emperor's mouth itself, Hans never takes chances. He knows that when his time comes, Death will not be able to be stopped. But until then, we do not make it easy for Death to simply take what it wants. To do so would be to rob The Emperor of a piece in his grand plan for the Imperium, which in itself is the ultimate sin.

While not necessarily suicidal, Hans is known for being a little more than reckless in the eyes of many. Though he seems to take unnecessary risks, he is always in near total control of himself and his environment. A man known for being cold and callous, Hans all but completely lacks compassion and empathy. Though, he once did show kindness to this small girl in the hives of Seranus who had given him a flower. He took the little thing, small and faded as it was, and insisted on placing it in his helmet's webbing. He kept it in long after it had dried out and petrified.

When he found the girl's body, gutted cleanly by one of the Dark Eldar's shuriken weapons, he knelt down to her body. He laid her out neatly, her legs straight and her arms folded across her chest like an angel. He removed the flower from his helmet and placed it between her hands, brushing the hair that was plastered to her face with blood out of the way. The child's face was untouched, save for some of the blood spatter from her nearly mangled body. He stood up, Sasha in hand, and muttered a short prayer for her, that The Emperor might personally walk this innocent, uncorrupted, pure creature into His Light.

During his time amongst the motley crew of the 97th Conglomerate, Hans learned to be more accepting and understanding of others' emotions and culture, though he still denies the fact that he learned what compassion was.

PARTY POPPER
Party Poison's Party Popper is the Killjoy's personal blaster pistol. Really just a basic blaster pistol that has been modified by Party to shoot yellow blaster bolts, as well as using a heat-sink system rather than power packs. Party always has the weapon in a holster on the right thigh.

DEAD PEGASUS JACKET
One of Party's most important possessions, the Killjoy's Dead Pegasus Jacket is made of leather while the liner is armourweave padding. The padding itself provides a level of protection on par with an M91 Combat Vest. On the back of the jacket is the symbol that Party has taken as a calling card and a coat of arms.
