Brike "Ike" Vilm
Scholar. Archaeologist. Jedi Knight.
Born on a vessel bound from an asteroid based spa and resort to Naboo, Brike "Ike" Vilm was given away by his neglectful parents to the Jedi Order. He was raised mostly on Tython, where he spend the majority of his childhood in vast libraries. His master, currently lost to the war against the Dark Side, left him to teach himself the ways of the Force. His once father figure had, in his eyes, neglectfully abandoned him much like his own parents had. He turned to texts and lore for a parental role, allowing history to teach him lessons and the way of the galaxy. With his parents' guidance, he grew to appreciate the unique things in the galaxy around him.
Before becoming a Jedi Knight, Ike would make frequent visits to the Republic's various historical sights. He studied with various archaeological teams and made a name for himself at universities where he presented his findings. His life took a slight twist when he threw in with small bands of pirates and thieves that infiltrated Sith space, seizing artifacts and documenting historical sights before war factories could be built over them. It became a practice that dominated his later life.
As a Jedi Knight, 24 year old Ike was confronted by the worst part of the war against the Sith to date. He would routinely watch vid screens in horror as places rich in history, on both sides of the borders, were annihilated. Thousands of years of architecture, knowledge, and culture, all lost. He had largely stayed out of the biggest conflicts, but the bombing of Tython tipped the scales in his mind. He decided his life as a Jedi would be devoted to the recovery and protection of the galaxy's history, regardless of who's history it was.
Cobalt blade in hand, Ike has set out on his own path.

Writer's Intent
I have always had a great appreciation for archaeologists and the work that they do. Not only is their expertise crucial to the every day Joe knowing about the world around him, but gives him the ability to see humanity outside of the here and now. With the current archaeological crisis caused by Daesh in Syria and the surrounding regions, hundreds of museums, historical sites, and ancient relics are being destroyed by the many involved factions. I am appalled by the idea that humanity will never be able to study, experience, or learn from what is being lost in these war torn regions. In the universe of SWRP, a similar crisis is lying under the Jedi and Sith's noses. Ike's story will be of a man who did what he could to preserve the galaxy's only way of going back in time.... looking at the past.
