NAME: Brinnon ‘Brin’ Castalli

FACTION: Independent

RANK: N/A

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 23 GSY

GENDER: Male

HEIGHT: 5’ 11” (But he tells everyone 6 feet)

WEIGHT: 90kg / 200lbs

FORCE SENSITIVE: Nope

APPEARANCE:

Brinnon’s dark brown eyes are hidden beneath an unruly mop of brown hair which falls down over his forehead in a disorganised fringe. He fills out his handed down black leather jacket (covered in Corellian “pilots” patches) and old style military cargo trousers, with a mixture of brawn and “food induced cushioning”. Around his waist, an old bantha leather belt wraps twice round and supports a cracked, aged holster with an even older looking blaster held within. Brin doesn’t take much care of his general appearance, favouring practicality over fashion.

ATTRIBUTES:

Brin quickly learned the basic of piloting spacecraft, but never progressed into handling them like he seen the other “ace” pilots of his homeworld doing. While he will never ‘flare park’ his freighter at a docking station, he is a solid pair of hands on any control set.

Though fairly stockily built, Brin shies away from physical confrontation and finds himself to be rather clumsy in more active pursuits. But manages to be more successful in more dexterous, delicate activities.

Though slow to trust and spark up conversation with new people, once he has struck up a rapport, Brin displays a keen intellect, and has found himself to be quite talented in the more diplomatic and bureaucratic intrigues.

PERSONALITY:

Brin has always liked people. Despite an initial, very noticeable shyness towards new individuals, once he gets to know them he is outgoing and friendly, and quick to offer help and assistance. Due to the events that led to his fathers demise, he is very intolerant of “illegal” behaviour and will get distracted by attempting to stop it if he sees it.

BIOGRAPHY:

A proverb from the times of the Old Republic had always stuck with Brin. “Hard times create strong people. Strong people create good times. Good times create weak people. And, weak people create hard times.” He fully believes that his family epitomises this saying down to an atom. Brin was born to the Castalli family from Corellia, and despite the long distinguished family history, the Castalli’s were definitely now traversing the latter part of the proverb. His father had died a spice addict, squandering the families wealth, while his mother had tried to hold down a local government administration job, simultaneously attempting to take care of her deteriorating husband.

Brin’s older brother, Perlon was absent for much his time growing up, and was highly likely to be the second source of the financial haemorrhaging the family was experiencing, deep in debt with spice runners and casinos.

Brin took up basic spacing jobs as soon as he was able to purchase his pilots license at 17, and tried to support his mother where he could. In the last few years has found himself providing secure shuttle services to some of Corellia’s minor government officials, and as a result has developed a keen interest in the diplomatic arts, and on occasion found himself discussing political matters with his passengers who seem interested in his thoughts and ideas.

SKILLS:

Brin has learned to pilot basic freighter class starships, but that is where his knowledge ends. Thanks to his father, he has learned to be a dab hand with a pistol, although as it’s the only thing he has ever fired, struggles to transfer this skill to larger weapons.

His work with the government officials has bought out his natural talent for diplomacy and using his intellect to influence others.

GEAR:

SHIP:

With the dwindling funds of his inheritance, after attaining his commercial pilots license, Brin managed to locate an old YT-1000 freighter in the local scrapyard. The desire to stay loyal to Correllian tech meant he probably paid a little over what it was worth (especially in its condition), but she was still space worthy and three of the accommodation cabins were in good condition. Enough for him to live on board and enough to take the odd politician or two on their weekly trips. After his first trip he christened the vessel "The Corellian Eclipse".

DROIDS:

1 basic protocol droid called K-T, with metallic silver/purple plating.
