DESCRIPTION​

The BVT-221 "Dragoon" Light Tank is a light repulsor tank that was designed and manufactured by Blackwell Vehicles a couple decades ago. Although the Dragoon is an older design, it still sees use and is manufactured today.

The best qualities of the dragoon are it's speed and maneuverability. It moves at a fast 230 km/h, accelerates quickly and has maneuverability to match. As a repuslorlift vehicle, this vehicle hovers on top of terrain, combined with it's speed and maneuverability, it moves gracefully. It's firepower, although not really powerful, is something considerable. It's main gun is it's singular medium laser cannon. The quad light blaster cannon turret on top of the tank is remotely controlled from the inside, and can effectively engage aircraft and infantry.

The Dragoon is not without it's downsides of course, it's armor protection is lacking and can easily be destroyed with man-portable rocket launchers although light deflector shields help mitigates this. The Dragoon will be easily destroyed if one attempts to use it as a main battle tank in a pitched battle. The Dragoon is best use as a high speed, highly mobile attack platform using hit and run tactics as well as attacking while moving.

Dragoons still see a fair amount of use, namely in planetary defense forces or militias as well as licensed private military groups. They are more common towards the Core Worlds and becoming more and more of a rare sight outwards.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. These tanks are purpose-built combat craft, and are thus generally restricted from civilian ownership on most civilized worlds.

INTENT​

Partly to round out the Blackwell arsenal of vehicles, but also to add a present day/modern alternative to the Sabre Repulsortank, in which the Dragoon fulfills the same role.

RESTRICTIONS​

These vehicles cannot be owned by individual characters, but can be acquired as a faction asset.
