DESCRIPTION
The C-ROC Gozanti, short for Configuration-Restored Operational Capacity, was an official custom shipyard configuration of the Gozanti-class cruiser manufactured initially during the Clone Wars and the Imperial Era. Also known as the C-ROC carrier ship, it was a class of light cruiser meant as a midlife upgrade meant to reinvigorate the Gozanti-class and create more profitability.

Designed to be bulkier than the original and with many cosmetic and mechanical modifications, the C-ROC was considered softer and rounder than the bold and square-shouldered lines of the original. The design of the new hull provided more protection as the slope of the hull deflected blasts more efficiently than the original Gozanti-class. Outrigger cargo trays that were designed to carry modular cargo containers similar to the GR-75 medium transport replaced the two cranked delta wings.

Although the C-ROC was not as large as a true cruiser, its tight corridors and compartments could make for intense close-quarters combat and had consumables capacity for two months. The outriggers, in concert with the complete redesign of the ship's interior, provided the C-ROC with exceptional hauling capability at the cost of the ship's combat and fleet support utility.

Armed with retractable quad guns on its dorsal and ventral sides for handling smaller attackers, along with heavy guns on spindle mounts port and starboard for larger craft, it was generally considered well-defended against pirates and raiders. Its five powerful Novaldex JV-80 ion drives provided much greater speed and thrust over the original, which it relied upon for both hauling and escaping danger.

Perhaps its greatest advantage as a Corellian product was the ability to be further modified. Despite a design meant to discourage piracy, smugglers and pirates themselves have been fond of the C-ROC since its inception, some even serving as flagships. The infamous Corsair Refit transformed the C-ROC into a fearsome pirate craft capable of punching above its weight class when pressed, even capable of hauling four small fighters on the outriggers much like the original bulk cruiser.

Owing to CEC manufacturing, these light cruisers are extremely reliable even when damaged, barring any poorly-wrought modifications. In the modern era, C-ROC Gozanti are still manufactured from the ground up by the CEC and are in relatively common use as armed cargo transports throughout the galaxy.

LEGALITY
Legal. Bulk freighters such as the GR-75 are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions and are not restricted in most systems. Heavily-armed modified variants may attract additional attention or be wholly illegal, depending on configuration.

INTENT
To introduce a canon configuration of the Gozanti-class bulk cruiser.

RESTRICTIONS
C-ROC Gozanti-class light cruisers are reasonably common but are not easy or cheap to obtain. They are typically faction assets, although they could also serve as the focal point of a player-run business venture.
