Cadan Zhulta, in his early years, was just another up and coming Duros pilot. From his teen years to early adulthood, he flew around the galaxy, exploring and discovering. It was in his travels that he saw the pain and suffering of the Republic’s peoples. Recognizing that he wouldn’t be able to make the changes he dreamed of as just a lowly pilot, he went back to Duro and studied politics. His natural courage and enthusiasm helped him climb the ranks of Duro’s political scene, eventually leading him to become Senator. Cadan has always faithfully served his people, and though his age is catching up with him, he shows no signs of slowing down. [/fancybox4]
BIOGRAPHY

Before all that though, when he was a mere congressman, during a campaign against the discrimination of Rodians, Cadan had met the Councilwoman of Public Affairs- Rana Sebaaks. The two had so much in common, and eventually found love. Together, they campaigned for the rights of immigrants, more security for the poorer parts of Duro. The people loved it, for obvious reasons, and his business backers loved the new labor and consumers for their goods. Rana and Cadan had a child together- Mavis. Mavis had shown promise as a child, being quite adept at repairing and building tech. When Mavis reached his teen years, he became involved in some criminal activity. Cadan was faced with a choice- condemn his son to keep his reputation as a fair and un-biased judge, or try to keep things hush-hush. Cadan ended up publicly denouncing his son, and his wife divorced him soon after.
Cadan moved on fairly quickly, burying his feelings. He continued on for a few years before marrying again, to the daughter of a shipyard owner. The marriage brought in new popularity and wealth, allowing the push Cadan needed to secure himself the spot of Senator Zhulta. When he is not on duty, he is at home with his wife Felal and his son, Emor.
In his years travelling the galaxy as well as serving as a public representative, Cadan has learned a thing about danger. He carries a DX-38 holdout blaster on his person at all times, as well as robes fitted with an MCV Mk. IV on it’s inside. While he doesn’t fear for his life, he figures it’s never a bad time to stay safe. [/fancybox2]
POLITICAL VIEWS

In his travels, he witnessed the cost of war on the homefront; poverty, famine, disease, bloodshed. He wishes to end this, so that the citizens of the galaxy may live in peace.
- A large part of Duros culture and politics is their corporations. Cadan holds stock in many of the corporations on Duro, which in turn allows the heads of said corporations to meet and discuss Senate meetings and discussions with him. He is usually badgered to protect their business practices, should they ever come up. Ultimately, the decision remains his.
- Cadan believes that alliances with any and all planets can be mutually beneficial, and will opt to ally himself with any when provided the opportunity. The exceptions are violent planets, such as Trandosha, which he usually neutrally disregards.
- While crime is not tolerated, he believes that no one should be killed or executed for their crimes, nor should they be imprisoned without fair representation. Cadan believes that life, however harmful, is still valuable, and can be utilised.
- Corruption is a disease, deserving to be rooted out and destroyed. Those that let their own personal goals and actions be dictated by money are undeserving to be in a situation of power. He believes that everyone deserves a leader who will look out for their people’s interests and benefit, not their own.
