DESCRIPTION
The Caliban VG-15 Blaster Rifle is the remnant of the corporation's first attempt at an easy to use, low cost, resource conservative Modular Blaster Rifle Platform, known internally as the Caliban MBRP.

Featuring a stamped durasteel frame, wooden stock, fore-grip, and a fold-able durasteel bi-pod, the VG-15 is designed so that it can be fired from a stable position by even the most inexperienced militia member. It's greater weight and bi-pod ensure that the more significant recoil due to its simpler design is counteracted under sustained fire from a kneeling or lying position, while the angled fore-grip serves to aid the operator in firing from the standing position.

The original design intended for the Caliban MBRP to be a completely customizable all-purpose modular blaster rifle platform capable of swapping between different configurations needed on the battlefield. Although sales of the Caliban MBRP were promising, some years after its introduction it fell out of favor within Caliban due to competition with Blastech's R5R. As hard as it was for the corporation to admit, the R5R outperformed the Caliban MBRP in mobility and price.

Having spent countless credits on the development of the Caliban MBRP the corporation felt it had funded the project too heavily to end without a product to offer and so opted to reduce the project to a single, non-configurable platform. When choosing which variant of the Caliban MBRP to continue to offer, Caliban consulted their sales metrics and found that they sold Configuration 1-5 30% more than all other configurations. Remaining unsold variants were reallocated to competing programs, scrapped, or auctioned to Blastech.

Just a heads up, generally we don't like tech which uses real-life firearms and such for reference images, but I'll allow it this time.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I had a feeling that would be the case, and tried to find an unrecognizable experimental rifle, which I though this was. Turns out I forgot about New Zealand. Like most cartographers. So, thanks again.

@Jason
Heh, s'okay! I just happen to know an unhealthy amount about obscure firearms.
