[Kane]

Jedha City---Jedha---2200 Hours Galactic Standard Time​

Kane was wandering the streets of Jedha City, he had been having difficulties sleeping this night so he decided a walk was in order.

None of the shops were open this late of coursse, though shopping was not his goal it was still somewhat eerie ti be in the market when no one else was out.

Though in spite of the old Sentinel's apparent aloneness he could not help but feel uneasy. Something was about to happen, he could feel it in the force.

[The Storyteller]

The droid N18-HT was on its third test mission from the cooperation. For now, due to the type of individuals the droid would encounter on its missions with its master, it made sense to test it against a force sensitive.

The droid stalked the Jedi somewhat carefully from the shadows. It had on it the bothans double barelled blaster and it's new pistol to replace the one it had lost in its right with said bothan. It also had two adhesive grenades. And of course it's concealed dart launcher and blades were stored away internally for the moment.

It pulled the bothans blaster from its back as it rounded a corner still on the Jedis tail, taking advantage of its black paint job admist the shadows and night sky.

 

[Kane]

Kane continued to walk, his senses alert now as he felt all around himself woth the force. With his senses heightened by his powers he could faintly hear something mechsnical nearby, he would have written this off as a shop droid cleaning up overnight but since it seemed to stay a consistent distance from him he had a feeling he was being followed. His follower being a droid however he could not use the force to pinpoint it's location.

He wound his way through the market, he had already been heading bsck towards the temple and he aimed to get there in one piece. As he walked he made sure to have his saber hilt in his hand (OOC: around thensame time N18 is drawing the blaster)

He pulled the force into himself to ensure his reflexes would be at their fastest no matter what happened, still feeling around himself as he did so.

N18 saw the Jedi slip into the market, slowly following until she was about 20 meters behind him. Then she finally made her presence known with two blaster bolts from the bothans blaster.

One was aimed at the Jedis torso, the other slightly down, more towards his right upper thigh. After that she quickly pulled one of her grenades off her belt and hurled it right behind the blaster bolts. It knew Jedi could reflect them so these were just to keep him busy while she could throw the grenade. With that she quickly grabbed the only two remaining cartridges and shoved them into the blaster.

 

[Kane]

It was time to act.

Kane heard the blaster fire and as he had already heightened both his speed and reflexes he leapt straight into the air, easily clearing the bolts. He rotated mid air as the droid -for it was in fact a droid- threw a grenade of some sort. He had no way of knowing what type if grenade but as he descended he stopped it with the force and sent it right back at the droids chest.

As the old Jedi landed he activated his lightsaber, bathing the street in it's bright yellow light.

The droid wasn't able to feel joy but it would have as the Jedi used the force to stop the grenade. Unfortunately for him, the grenade was set to go off on inpact, once he grabbed it with the force it triggered it like it had hit the ground.

She was not able to see how much it effected him while she reloaded the weapon but she quickly leveled the blaster at him, aimed, then fired the last two rounds from the blaster. She dropped the weapon and pulled the pistol from its holster, clicking it from safety to stun and got ready to fire again, knowing the jedi would still probably be able to reflect them, so she ducked slightly as the luatol was drawn just in case any were sent back her way.

 

[Kane]

Ka e had not expected the grenade to go off from him simply stopping it, however as he was not yet on the ground when it would have exploded it merely got some of it's goo on his cloak as he fell past.

The next two shots he reflected back, one at the droids legs and one towards the hand as it drew the new blaster.

He quickly shed his cloak and flung it at the droid, using the force to ensure that it flew fast ans spread open like a gladiators net.

With the screen his cloak would be making for him he dashed along behind it and as he reached the droid he would thrust his blade forward towards where it's chest would be.

N18 expected the shots to be reflected back at her and as they were she dove out of the way. The Jedis cloak would spread out covering the area she had been. Thankfully it concealed her movements as well, and she leveled the blaster around to face him as he stabbed through his own cloak.

With that she would fire 3 stun rounds at him from her crouched position, two at his chest and then one at his knee to break the rhythm and hopefully catch him by surprise.

 

[Kane]

As the droid leapt out around him Kane was ready, sending a pulse at it with the force to stagger it and cause it to aim wide -the shots meant for his chest going over and around him since they were fired so clost together-

The shot fired at his knee he brought his saber down to block and dissipate.

Being a Makashi expert he then used a very minimal wrist movement to go from blocking to flick his blade up and aim to remove the hand holding the blaster before thrusting at the shoulder on the same arm.

The droid staggered backwards slightly before firing off another two stun rounds at the Jedi as he came towards her. She jumped backwards to avoid the strikes switching the mode to lethal rounds and landed with a thump on the ground in her back, sitting up quickly and leveling the blaster at the Jedi just as she did so.

 

[Kane]

Kane was not going to let up, since his saber was already moving in that direction it was a relatively simple task to shift the blade to catch and dissipate both stun blasts as he continued to move forward.

As the droid jumped he sent another force pulse at it, which would send it farther and higher than it had intended to go and would likely cause it to be a little disoriented afer it's landing.

Seeing it level its blaster at him he would grip the droids hand with the force and exert a massive amount of pressure on it in an attempt to crush the extremity so that it could not function to squeeze the trigger.

The droid landed a bit further back than it had intended, bouncing once on the ground as it hit before sliding to a stop. Then it felt it's hand being put under a extreme amount of pressure it's fingers slowly being crushed.

It leveled it's other arm at it and fired its concealed dart at him from its left hand. Then it grabbed the pistol from its now mangled right hand and held it pointing at the Jedi. With its right hand useless it extended it's wrist blades having no other use for the arm now.

It fired off 2 more rounds from the pistol and already began retreating further away, knowing it would need to reload soon and it would need an extra moment due to its other hand now being mangled.

 

[Kane]

Kane brought up his blade to intercept the dart, the hot plasma melting the projectile on contact. As he did this he ducked and rolled to dodge the blaster shots, one of them clearing right past him and the other singeing his left calf.

He grit his teeth through the pain and took stock of the situation. The droid was likely low on ammo, and with only one good hand it would take much longer to reload.

The old Sentinel decided to wait now and took a defensive stance, ready to block any shots fired at him .

The droid wasn't about to let up. Although the human Jedi was seeming unable to be hit byba small volley of blaster bolts. She decided that shed merely need to increase the amount then. She leveled the blaster at him and fired five rounds in quick succession. She would tilt the end if the blaster each time as she fired, aiming towards his outsides. She noticed he was slowing down and one shot had managed to get through.

As the 5 rounds soared towards the man she made it around a corner. The first thing she did was scan for life forms and saw a group of people not too far ahead. She approached them quickly and threw her arms around one, confusing him in the process before attaching herself to his arm on his right side so he would be between her and the Jedi once he rounded the corner. Her pistol still in her hand she held it so it wouldn't be seen by anyone just quite yet.

 

[Kane]

Kane stepped to the side, allowing two of the bolts to go by harmlessly before reflecting one back at the droids thigh as it ran. The second bolt he deflected into the wall near him and the final bolt he attempted to dodge but instead was grazed by along his left forearm. It stung but he could still grit his teeth through the pain.

He followed the droid slowly, taking the time to rest as much as he could and recover some energy as he walked .Rounding the corner to see his attacker wrapped around a civilian who was eyeing the extended wrist blades with fear.

His saber at the ready all he could do was wait for the droid to make a move.

The droid had him right where she wanted him. His reflected blaster not had grazed her thigh but the military grade duraplast held up fine.

As the Jedi got on the defensive she took her blaster and put it back in its holster and pulled the grenade from it belt. It then stabbed the man beside her with its activated wrist blades in the side, just enough to hurt him tremendously but not kill him or cause lethal injury such as piercing a lung. Not yet anyway. Then, as the man yelled out in pain, she the the grenade at his feet with lightning speed. The reason she had stabbed the boy first was because it would custard him, it was quite well known that bouts of pain like that could distract Jedi being empathetic to the force. He would possibly feel the boys pain just like he was himself getting hit. With that she pulled her blaster back out and leveled it at the boys head. Making it clear what she had in store should the Jedi get too close. The whole time the man was between the Jedi and herself so kane wouldn't really be able to see her grab the grenade or throw it until it was too late, especially with the ripple in the force.

 

[Kane]

Kane watched as the boy was stabbed, had he been channeling the force the boys pain may have hit him more but really all he felt was a bit of anger -which he quickly shut down- at his inability to stop it from happening.

He did not have time to react to the grenade, and it exploded and coated his feet in it's goo. Then the droid leveled it's blaster at his head.

It had been a while simce he had expended much energy via the force now however, so -without moving so that there would be no indication- he did what he should have done sooner. He reached out with the force and gripped the droids blaster, bending it's barrel and crushing it to cause it to be useless.

"Come on now, leave the civilians out of this."

The droid would have been upset that the Jedi was so foolish but it was a droid so it didn't feel anything. As the Jedi would use the force on the blaster she would twist the blade inside the man's side, causing him to scream in agony.

Drop your lightsaber. Throw it to the ground at my feet within 10 seconds or I will cause this meatbag further pain. Failure to comply will result in its deah. You have 7 seconds.

The droid said behind its meatbag meat shield. She made sure to keep the man positioned so the Jedi wasn't able to see her. She kept twisting the blade to continue to mess with the Jedis senses in case he tried anything.

 

[Kane]

Kane really had no options here, he COULD attack the droid and let the civilian die but that would not be anywhere near the Jedi way.

He tossed the saber at the droids feet, using the swing of the throw to sever a good chunk of the goo holding his feet in a way that it would not appear deliberate as he wasn't even looking. The blade deactivated as he released the hilt, and it landed atbthe droids feet with two seconds to spare. he knew the droid would not stop there however and fully expected it to kill the hostage.

The droid kept the human shield between them as she picked up his lightsaber. She held it tightly in her hand in case the Jedi tried his magic tricks again.

If you move one inch the meatbag dies. Next time meatbag, I will complete my mission.

The droid said as it held the hostage close and started to back away. Once she was far enough away and out of sight from the Jedi she would finish off the boy before retreating into the night.
