Can someone give me information on Nar Shaddaa

I intend to have had my first character be born on Nar Shaddaa and I've been reading the Wookiepedia article on Nar Shaadaa but I'm still having trouble building up enough of a good picture in my head to write my character's biography. I was wondering if anyone could help out?

Basically ignore all the Vong/Legacy Era nonsense that happened to Nar Shaddaa. It's a giant city world with lots of urban decay, poverty, and rampant crime. There are a few sections which might be better off, and have a semblance of law and order (such as Calrissian Hall) which are squarely under the thumb of the Hutt Cartel, whilst the more rundown sections are pretty much in a nonstop state of anarchy, save for when someone causes a big enough nuisance to get the Cartel's attention.

Take the worst parts of the urban decay in the 70's.

Add a ton of organized crime.

And then add slavery.

And pirates.

And smuggling.

And drugs that would make lead based cocaine seem tame.

Multiply the problems of all that by 19,000,000.

And wrap it up in a cyberpunk dystopia aesthetic.

Think of it kind of like Rapture prior to the events of Bioshock. You've got areas which are super rich, opulent, and filled with casinos, brilliant shops, hotels, really nice places to live. And then you've got the majority of the planet which varies from just regular old slums to even worse slums, dotted by various factories, shipyards, and all kinds of industrial activity unfettered by concerns for things like wages or the environment.

It's not a nice place, run by people who are even worse.
