It was raining heavily, the overcast skies not allowing a single beam of sunlight to pierce through. The torrential rains left the surrounding flatland with almost a meter of water. It was practically a shallow lake. The only thing for kilometers was a single large structure, a trading port. This was where Cyzyn-Itza-Rus had traveled to. He was looking for miners to help extract the minerals from the planet he had recently colonized. There were asteroids in the system so a company that could do both terrestrial and also astral mining was ideal.

Accompanying him was Abigail Nimbus, the woman who shared blood with the former Dread Lord of Pestilence, the Doctor. Now Cyzyn-Itza-Rus had offered her another opportunity now that she was no longer affiliated with the Hutt Cartel. He knew she was capable when it came to violence but he also needed intelligent associates if she were to take the place her mother had left.

The Tiss'shar waited on one of the landing pads. It was still raining heavily and the drains constantly gurgled with the sound of running water. The reptilian sith stood silently and waited for Abigail to arrive. The patter of water hit his dark cloak and either bounced off or beaded down without being absorbed by the cloak.

Well, it was time, Abigail was a Sith now, so it seemed that it was only prudent to start picking up old threads, spinning new ones, and maybe tying a few together for her benefit. Cyzyn, or Scar-mouth, hadn't been seen or heard of since she had last met him on Junction Base, probably intentional by her guess. Now, here he was, calling her to a planet for a chance to prove herself to him, or more accurately, calling her after she called him. The commlink did it's job fine, even if he didn't answer the damn thing at first, but hey, now she was here on Jabim, the rain pelting down on the two with all the dispassionate rage the heavens could muster.

She glanced at the Tiss'shar as she emerged from the shadows, studying him again as she had when they first met. She wondered what it was that brought him here, most likely, the answer was resources, as Jabim was known for, so perhaps he was building something. Either way, she wasn't about to find out by standing around, so Abigail stepped up behind him and cleared her throat.
"Why Jabim?" She asked directly

Arms crossed he knew that Abigail was close by. She had made promising progress within the sith in her limited time thus far. His reptilian eyes looked over the moving containers on the roof of the structure. It was immensely large, a small city enclosed in a single building. It reminded him of a larger version of the ocean based oil drills or an orbital space station. All was condensed in one gigantic structure. Workers moved, some used to the rain seemed to have no problem dealing with it, acting like it was nothing but a slight breeze. Others ran to limit the time they got soaked since they did not come wearing ponchos.

The reptilian man turned his head slightly towards the woman as he responded. He spoke a little louder than usual to be heard over the sound of torrential rain fall. "Jabiim is known for their natural resources. The locals are quite good at mining. I want to acquire their expertise." He usually answered questions with another question, but not this time. There were times for teaching lessons but this was not a period for study.

"Shall we go inside?" he asked. It was more of an indication that they would be moving towards the internal part of the mining outpost. The weather did not make the outside environment ideal for conducting business. They of course also needed to find a leader to speak to for the future mining operation itself. Such people would not likely be outside in this storm.

Curiouser and curiouser...

Abigail moved to Cyzyn's side, giving a sideways glance at the Tiss'shar before returning her gaze to the complex. This was probably the most straightforward answer he had ever given to a question, and in doing so, he finally (probably intentionally) provided a thread for her to tug on.
"Needing miners implies you're gathering resources, experienced miners implies they are numerous and/or delicate, so it begs the question: What are you building?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity as she fully turned now, looking at him. She figured he would probably deflect and/or just ignore the question, but again, she had to admire his strategy. He knew she was the curious type, one whom would gladly crawl into all sorts of deep, dark places to root out secrets, and he was exploiting that for all it was worth, dangling answers on a string and keeping them just out of reach while shaking a little tidbit loose here and there.

When he asked if she was ready, she gestured toward the door in an 'after you' kind of way. She would follow behind the Tiss'shar as he entered the mine complex, observing and quietly taking it all in as he made his way toward the leader, or whoever it was they were there to talk to. She had seen how she interacted with herself, now she would get to see how he interacted with the common folk, it would help give a little more insight into what kind of person he was (and if there was anything she needed on this figure, it was insight).

The two Sith would walk across the platform until they came to a sliding door. The crews and traders coming and going would not cease just like the rain. They had their own business to work on and two random travelers did not attract much attention. There were large species in the galaxy and while Cyzyn-Itza-Rus's form could be rather imposing to an individual it did not warrant a great deal of scrutiny. It was not like he dressed for flair and flamboyance either.

The rain abated as they entered into the structure. It was far better lit though still leaned towards the industrial side of design. "A fortress..." He answered simply and shook himself slightly to have any dampness fall from his form. It was not unlike that a dog might do but not to the same extent. His tail still did a little bit of the wiggle that ended such an action before he readjusted his cloak to make sure it was securely set around his shoulders. " Would you like to visit once it is finished? " He asked as a follow up.

The Tiss'shar kept a lot of information from a lot of people but the female he had intended to bring into the fold thus far. It would be time let her in on some information without hesitation. Letting her know what he was using it for was one thing. Telling her the exact design or where it was actually going to be placed was another. Though he could still easily tell her sooner rather than later.

Abigail followed behind the Dragon as he entered the complex, the scene looking like something akin to a little girl hiding behind her father and only peeking her head out on occasion. She was quick to shake her own water off until it was no longer dripping, though she was somewhat distracted by the sight of the mighty and mysterious Cyzyn doing the same, looking like a cute home animal in the process - she very nearly burst out laughing, but she got the feeling a saber would be in her head if that happened. She felt herself relaxing a little bit as they entered the flurry of miners and traders; while it was true that the crowd was a place your enemies could hide, it was also somewhere you could hide too, even when you were traveling with a massive Tiss'shar. She had to admit though, she was a little surprised that no one felt the need to draw their attention to big scaly kriffball walking around the place with a big kriff off cloak - Tiss'shar or not, the sight of him would still be fairly eye catching in her opinion.

She virtually stopped in her tracks as he answered her question, with next to no hesitation. She was expecting another mysterious or vague answer, maybe answering the queary with a question, but instead he just out and said it. Abigail was actually rendered a little speechless from the sudden answer, only able to simply reply with a small, "Yes" when he asked if she wanted to visit this fortress he was building. To say that a part of her was excited now would be an understatement, this guy was building a massive fortress that she got to visit - that in of itself was absolutely awesome!!

Of course, she couldn't loose her cool and get all giddy here, they had a job to do, so of course, she had to remain neutral, or at least, focused. She gazed around at the miners and traders as they all passed by before looking back to Cyzyn, clearing her throat slightly.
"So, who is it that we're seeing about procuring their services?" She asked, figuring a description and profile of the guy would help in the long run of this mission. After all, he had to have brought her here as more than just a pretty face, right?

He was slightly amused at the female's surprise but continued onward. She returned to the subject at hand though which he could appreciate. "There are many miners on this planet, many of them are part of an assortment of companies or guilds. We just need one sizeable collection to be employed for this task. I have no specific one in mind but whomever we choose we will be an exclusive client of their's. They won't need to work for anyone else and we will essentially work solely for the us." They would likely assimilate and begin living with the local colonists on the planet of D'Qar, further increasing the strength of the community and presence on the planet.

There was a worn looking office front with a sign hanging over it that said Roatary and Sons Mining. It was a family company by the looks of it and Cyzyn-Itza-Rus stepped inside. There were a few desks and people behind them. While out in the public areas of the mining post the Tiss'shar had not attracted attention. Here though there was less for him to fade with as a random person in the crowd. There was no crowd here and the people behind their desks would stare for a period of time as the Sith made his way towards what he assumed was the receptionist. "I am here to see if I can employ Roatary and Sons' services. Who do I speak to about such things?"

The timid man behind the desk took a moment to process the words before repsonding "Um, Mister Roatary will be available in a few minutes. He's in a meeting right now. Can you wait?" The Tiss'shar stayed silent for a moment, looking the receptionist in the eyes before nodding with as warm a smile as possible from a cold blooded individual. "Of course. We will be right over here." He motioned with a clawed hand at the sparse seating area. There was a coffee machine off to one side and the Sith wondered if he would bother taking a cup. It was likely not of good quality and he did not need the caffeine. The two of them would have to wait for awhile but he wondered if perhaps this was a better time to get to know Abigail and who she had become recently.

Abigail followed on into the mining company as Cyzyn explained what kind of miners they were looking for. His words raised a few interesting possibilities that should could mull over in her mind. First was the simple fact that he didn't come here with any specific company in mind, suggesting that, in part, some of his plans are made up on the fly, spontaneous, further suggesting that he is more impulsive or dismissive than she had given him credit for...then again, this is an outpost, specializing in mining, there would be plenty of companies to choose from. Then there was the fact that he expected the miners to stick round after this fortress was completed, that suggested an interesting fact that, possibly, this fortress or it's surrounding area had a community of sorts, or that he wanted there to be one.

There was plenty of time for those questions to be asked though, for now, there was more important matters at hand. Roatary and Sons Mining Co. seemed small, but she had heard of some of their exploits here and there - one of many companies that tried to buy land on Mustafar for mining before the natives forced them all away. The director was busy, so the duo strolled into the waiting room, with Abigail sitting down on one of the chairs, removing her wet cloak as she did. With a moment alone, she relaxed a little, letting out a soft sigh of relief as the cheap, but sturdy, leather caressed her back and supported her weight with flair. She looked towards Cyzyn, clearly looking curious about a few things - better time to ask questions than in the office.
"This fortress has a village surrounding it, doesn't it?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Either that or you want it to...it would be cheaper and safer to just bring the miners in when needed, as opposed to housing them where they might see something they shouldn't, which suggests you have something of a community wherever this is getting built."

At the sound of the woman parting her lips and uttering a sentance the reptilian sith turned his cerulean gaze upon her. He did not answer her immediately after her first question. He knew more was coming afterwards. After she was done he would slowly let a smile crease his scaled lips thus exposing his sharp teeth underneath in a predatory grin. "You are very observant Miss Nimbus." He would let the compliment hang in the air. It was neither a confirmation nor a denial technically but the being would continue. "There is a community where I plan to have the miners work. Even if you were not correct about the fortress itself and the area, your strategy and wisdom is sound. But yes, you are correct." The female would see it in time since she had shown interest earlier.

The Tiss'shar had plans, more like fancies for the planet. He had only just set the foundation for the Dread Lords. The walls, and the rest of the structure still had to be built and maintained. The young sith beside him was of interest to him. Now it was his turn to pose a question to the woman. "What do you know of your mother's work?" His head cocked to the side slightly, waiting for a response as he scrutinized the woman.

Abigail couldn't resist a sly smirk when he turned and smiled, all but explicitly confirming she was right, until he then explicitly confirmed she was right. She knew full well that he was more than likely just spoon feeding her, but it mattered little to the Sith. With each dribble of knowledge, she gained a crack that she could attempt to leverage into a window, a peek into the secrets he hid from her. True, if she made a god impression, there seemed o be every chance that she would gain a foothold into the world he lived in, but all the same, it was best to assume the worst and make sure you had as much information as possible on the off chance that you would be denied. Of course, there were times where you had to be a little more tactical, allow yourself to remain in the dark so that the secret keeper would be more inclined to share with you, as opposed to chipping away at whatever fragile trust had been extended. She had yet to decide whether or not Cyzyn was the one you chipped at, or the one you gave some faith, but either way, this was the path she was on with him - she may as well make the most of it.
"I do my best to be an insufferable know-it-all," She snarked playfully, smirking at the Dragon with a wink as she crossed her legs.

She raised an eyebrow at the more personal of his questions so far. She had never known a lot about her Mom's work, she preferred not to talk about it (some exceptions notwithstanding). A great deal of her time post funeral had been spent tracking down associates, friends, family, anyone that could have painted a more complete picture of her. As a Shi'ido, she knew full well that there was always more to people than meets the eye, they were multi-faceted and acted differently with almost everyone they interacted with. She looked away, pursing her lips in thought as she weighed her words. "I know some things, her work with Darth Malos, her capture by the Jedi, but apart from that, nothing." She hated admitting that she knew so little, but he had been truthful with her so far, she so no real reason to lie to him at this moment.

Well it seemed that the late Doctor had kept a great deal from her own daughter. Cyzyn-Itza-Rus let the silence hang in the air as he observed the woman. She had obvious feelings about her own mother and the mysterious nature of her work. The Tiss'shar knew nobody else was within hearing distance and it was not an easy thing to read a Tiss'shar's lips. "She was a member of a clandestine and exlusive circle within the Exiles. Darth Malos is among our number as are others. I bring this subject up because I am keen to learn whether or not you would be interested in joining us." It was fairly simple. He had given her the information about her mother because she had also been a part of it. The fortress was going to be their head quarters and if Abigail accepted it would be her home as well if she wished.

Abigail let her gaze wander off a little as she let the information soak in, bringing her head to rest upon her balled fists as she stared absent mindedly at a wall. A clandestine and exclusive organization, operating in secret within the Sith Empire...hmmm. On the one hand, it sounded absolutely perfect for her, and just the mere thought of being a part of such a group was inflaming her repressed sense of childlike wonder and fun, she absolutely loved secret societies, being apart of one would be so frikkin cool! On the other hand, she had no idea if this society was known of by the Empress, and what her reaction would be if it were discovered. This could very well be a plot against Andraste for all she knew, but at the same time, if she joined, chances were she could probably report on it and save her, maybe even get a commendation. If it wasn't plotting against her, then all would be well either way.

She looked back toward the Tiss'shar and nodded softly. "Well, I've always enjoyed secrets, and you've been nothing but mysterious and alluring so far...how can I resist?"

A smile crept across Cyzyn-Itza-Rus's face and he nodded, accepting the shi'ido's response. After a moment of silence the receptionist that had told them they would have to wait informed them that Mister Roatary is available in his office. The Tiss'shar bowed his head slightly before heading towards that office. The door was open and the man behind the desk was just sitting down, likely from being in another meeting. His body language said he was busy in the general sense. Today must be no different. "What can I help you with Mr...." He said leaving the sentence open ended for Cyzyn-Itza-Rus to fill in with his name. The reptilian sith would indulge the man. "Xho'thal." After Abigail would enter the room Cyzyn-Itza-Rus would close the door behind them. It was a minimal effort to keep some privacy but it helped sooth his Cyzyn's soul as well as set the stage for the unspoken private nature of the meeting.

While the name was tied to Bellica Works Incorporated few people outside of reptilian species could fathom to pronounce it right let alone an even smaller community that knew about the mid-sized corporation and put together he was technically a member of the bloodline that ran the company. His association with them was all but non-existent.

"You are a busy man so I will not dawdle. We have recently come into a large area of land and wish to hire your company to extract the necessary resources to build a fortress for our presence." After he was done the man picked up one of the stress ball numerous office workers used on a regular basis. His eyes went back and forth between Abigail and Cyzyn-Itza-Rus. The man's posture was reclined in his expensive chair, a decent purchase considering he probably spent half of his life in it. Finally he would let go of the stress ball, setting it down on the desk where he had picked it up. "Alright. I take it this is a big endeavor. Not some small keep? The nature of which is confidential and..." He pursed his lips thinking of logistics. "How far away is this place? Would I know of it?" It seemed that he was in agreement with the job but just curious about the specifics at this point. It was only natural.
