Nail biting was routinely labeled a impulse control disorder by most psychologists throughout the galaxy. More often than not, it was rooted primarily as a human-only self destructive habit. How many Twi'Leks, Togruta, or Dug did people see chewing down on their own bodies like a coyote trapped in a snare? Not many. The habit of nail biting was a disgusting little habit that Goetschl had fought with off an on throughout his life. Upon the onset of a new stressor, the fingers occasionally met his teeth. What was worse in Goetschl's situation was that an increased amount of stressed started off as nothing more than nail biting but it would assuridly raise the risks significantly of the man falling into another manic depressant episode.

Nearly seven months had passed since Goetschl had left his planet, his family and the pain of his second cousins death. Fate had rolled her pair of dice and though an answer came up, Casimir's vision of it's outcome was clouded. Did he get snake eyes or a high rolling seven? Fate had brought him to Alderaan. Fate had brought him to the doorstep of the Jedi order. Everything had been a blur as to the events in the most recent days; events that seemed to add onto one another like toppings to an ice cream cone. Upon arriving onto Alderaan, Goetschl had enough funds for a quick meal then a transfer flight. Waiting in the space ports main consumer hall, Goetschl had witnessed a freak accident occur when oils at a poultry dinner caught fire.

Though the emergency crews were quick in response at dealing with the relatively brief blaze, Goetschl focused on the two chefs whom suffered severe burns to their arms, chest, and face. The Medic Training he had received played a significant roll in his response and aid to the men, though unknown to him at the time, this would be the catalyst that would bring him to the Jedi on this day. Show Up. That's all he was told to do, by a person he hardly knew and a person whose name he probably should have remembered. Why would he? Goetschl's did not trust anyone but how many Goetschl's got a chance to meet actual Jedi? None. He would be the first. Curiosity was rare within Casimir, he personally preferred sticking to routine. Still, this was something even he could not pass up.

So here he sat, just inside the main entrance of the Enclave of the Jedi Order on Alderaan. With nothing to his name except the shoes on his feet, the black denim pants on his legs, the white button-up dress shirt on his torso as well as the space port ticket and his identification shoved into his front pocket, Casimir could do nothing more than the continued biting of his left index and pinky fingers, alternating each after a quick snap of the hardened keratin as various people he assumed to be Jedi passed. Was this all a wash? Did he possibly misunderstand what the person had told him? Why would he be told to show up without so much as a name to ask for when he got here? Perhaps these were questions Casimir should have asked before agreeing.

Now he could do nothing but bide his time and sit like a tool.

Fifteen minutes.

He would wait fifteen minutes more before leaving.

The doors flung open, almost as if a gust of wind began to thrust it's way into the chambers, chilling the already-cold room. The cloaked figure walked in, clad in onyx and silver dyed, traditional Jedi robes. This was his first student, so the nerves were already building inside him, and he was forced to remember the memories of his dead Master training him inside these very chambers. He was much more mature then before, and the rough stubble was beginning to show on his post-pubescent cheeks. He was an adult now, and he had to act like one, there was no point in showing fear to his student.

Revealing his open by pulling his hood back, the scar across the side of Ja'inn's face was clearly visible. It ran from his chin all the way up towards his hairline. His previously long hair had been cut, and the spiky remains was covering the Caucasian skin, and he was wearing a black glove on one hand for unknown reasons. His cold stone face looked upon his new student, releasing a stern nod upon the student. He took the datapad from the table beside him, quickly analysing his new student and any information that was stored on there.

"So, you must be Casimir, I am Jedi Knight Ja'inn Razaiuu, but you shall address me as Master Razaiuu."

Before the student could answer, another question popped up into Razaiuu's mind. He thought back to his training sessions with Link Nono, before rubbing his itchy brow a little more. Fathoming a little more about his student, and reading a little more of the datapad, he continued this little "interrogation" of his, and asked another question.

"Tell me the Jedi code, and what it means to you."

The entrance was a bit melodramatic in Casimir’s opinion. A flash of flamboyancy mixed with ego-maniacal tendencies from Casimir’s initial interpretation of the man. Silver and Onyx styled clothing was not something to scoff at since the colors played off each other well. At least he had a fashion sense of sorts. Goetschls blue eyes locked on the mans unshaven face as he began to speak. Casimir listened to each word, each syllable as they slid from the Jedi Knights tongue. His name was Ja’inn Razaiuu but what stuck out most to Goetschl was what he wanted Casimir to call him. Master? Internally Casimir scoffed at such an idea. To be called Master by a Goetschl was nearly improbably. Casimir was no one’s servant nor anyone’s slave. His face, however, remained rigid and unwavering. Ja’inn had obviously never met someone like Goetschl before and it was all starting to appear as though this introduction got off on the wrong foot.

First impressions meant everything. Regardless as to what people wanted to believe, the first few minutes of two people meeting would determine the ultimate outcome of how their relationship would play out. Women knew within the first thirty seconds of seeing and talking to a man if they would sleep with him or not and Men knew almost instantly whether they needed to throw up their internal defenses to keep someone out. Goetschl felt uneasy and feeling uneasy was not something Casimir liked. His defenses went up. So far not so good.

Then the Jedi Knight asked Casimir what the Jedi Code was and what slipped from Casimir’s tongue was both natural and immediate. “I have no clue what the Jedi Code says or what it’s purpose is. I've not been taught it. All I know is that the stories of Jedi were told amongst my family and my people for a long while; whether they be true or not, I'm not entirely certain of though it went along the lines of them being Protectors of sorts for the Galaxy, getting themselves into sticky situations when Military Forces and Politicians were too cowardly to do it themselves. Honorable, I might say but apparently foolish. Why get involved in matters that don’t concern you?”

It was a classic defensive tactic, yet basic in its own right. Answer a question with a question.

Ja'inn rubbed his brow arrogantly after hearing the defensive answer from the student. He frowned as he heard the defensive tactic his student attempted to play, answering a question with a question? Please, Ja'inn was much more clever than the student clearly thought he was. Ja'inn could sense some stress in the matured force adept, and wanted to explore it a little more. As they say, curiosity killed the cat, but Ja'inn wasn't curious, he was determined, and he would think that people didn't think he was anything like a cat. He rubbed his brow once again, the itch was not going away. He then asked the newly acquired padawan another question.

"Enough with the defensive and cocky remarks, I sense a lot of distress within you. Would you like to explain it? Or would you like to continue with this session and go to the library, study the Jedi code, and come back to me with a clear mind."

Ja'inn frowned at the undeniable cockiness of the padawan, and had heavy thoughts rushing through to his mind to dismiss the padawan straight away. He read through the datapad, and had decided that the padawan was not someone to get rid of, but someone better to be acquired to the Jedi conclave here on Alderaan. Ja'inn scratches his cheek, his eyes slowly beginning to analyse the man, feeling the distressed signs of emotions coming from the aura of the padawan. The aura was cracked no doubt, it was due to an event that had happened in his past life, maybe someone died? Anyway, there was no point in trying to guess, the only way to get answers was to ask direct questions, or to find out for yourself.

Casimir had to think quick. Was he a Alpha Wolf? Absolutely not. Was he a Panther on the prowl? Oh Lord no. Goetschl held no fierce personality nor sneaky, demonic side that was begging to be let out. No, the man had a side of insight yet also cleverness. His thought processes were scurrying about like a mouse frantically trying to make it's way through a kitchen full of traps.

Ja'inn wanted to know why Goetschl was so defensive. Was this some trick the Jedi used or could it have been this Jedi Knight had an unusually heightened ability at reading body motions and voice tones? Humans were easy creatures to understand and read, even by their own standards so anyone with any sort of training in understanding the human personality could have told that there was something off about Casimir.

Then Ja'inn finished with three words that caught Goetschl's attention completely; "... a clear mind." What was a clear mind? Thoughtless? Empty? Void? Was a clear mind something that Jedi wanted in an attempt to brainwash people into their belief structures like Militia's did?

"My mind will never be clear. Think of it like a switch board, with each new call coming in, a wire has to be placed appropriately or that particular thought get lost, jarbled, and tangles with the others." He probably made nos sense in his ramblings. "No offense, and I mean this with the utmost respect, but if your code was as important as you claim it is, you would not allow some visitor to simply walk through your own building in search of it in some library. It would mean more to you than that; wouldn't it? People don't need clear minds to understand a line of thought or a organizations philosophy; they only need logic. My mind is like an overflowing bathtub of thoughts... it'll never get cleared."

He paused for only a moment, "Though you are more than welcome to show me about? Isn't that what tenants normally do? How was I suppose to find the library anyway, if I actually had wanted to go in search of it in the first place, without being told where to go?"

Again with the defensive, and slightly abusive remarks from the padawan. Ja'inn continued to frown at the padawan but decided to go along with the ranting and moaning. Ja'inn wasn't even sure if he should, allow this student to continue to train with him, but his potential was stopping Ja'inn from doing this. Razaiuu had to be a little more... unorthodox with this one during his training. Razaiuu, spoke aloud yet with such serenity in the clearance of his voice. The Jedi code had lots of interpretations, and Ja'inn wanted to know what this padawan thought of it.

"Emotion, yet peace..
Ignorance, yet knowledge..
Passion, yet serenity..
Chaos, yet harmony..
Death, yet the Force.

- ..this is the Jedi code, I would like to ask how YOU think about this. What is your interpretation? How do you feel about the Code."

The code was a mixture of simplicity and complexity; more so than he had personally anticipated. Even if he had wanted to continue the game of chess of Ja'inn as to whom would find out more about whom first, Goetschl's mind was already locked around the code itself.

"Emotion, yet peace... comes off as an understanding that the mind of any intellectual being suffers from the flaw of emotion. Whether it be love, anger, hate, rage, pain, anguish, you name it, it's there in some degree but on the flipside, people need to find a peace within themselves." Peace was something Casimir's mind only found when he seemed focused on something, something like this code. "Ignorance, yet knowledge shows the idea that ignorance is rampant in everyone yet it is a necessity for people to search out and find knowledge about the life we are living, our surroundings and those around us."

"Passion, yet serenity seems just like the first, simply stressing the fact that people react strongly to a emotional stimulus but in order to react correctly, one must remind themselves of the importance of self-control while Chaos, yet harmony explains that the galaxy is full of the uncontrollable. There will never be a time when peace occurs everywhere, crime, war, hate, and anger will always be around and most specifically, in the realm of a human psyche, chaos reigns supreme but people must search out a point of peace; something that inspires and reestablishes hope." Goetschl explained. Personally, he felt like his was blowing smoke out of his rear, unsure if the answers were correct in the slightest possible way but he was giving as formal an answer as he could.

"Death, yet the Force... seems to be an ideology of life after death?" Death was something that Goetschl did not want to talk about and though the vast majority of his people personally believed in an afterlife of some sort, Goetschl himself had seen nothing to convince him of it's existance. As a result, he prefered to avoid the subject all together. "Though the odds of an afterlife is a flawed ideology that has yet to prove itself to the galaxy as a whole; from my personal observations."

The Knight rubbed his temples a little. Listening to the padawan's in depth analysis of the code was interesting to hear, especially when he seemed to close his thoughts around the idea of death. A personal observation on death? Maybe someone he loved passed on, time wasn't going to heal this man get through the pains Ja'inn could sense within him. Ja'inn used a gust of the Force to open the doors to the chambers. He rubbed his brow, trying not to sound rude to the padawan. Ja'inn needed to meditate on this and try and come back with a peaceful mind tomorrow, where they would learn how to control the Force. Ja'inn looked at his padawan as the words flowed out of his mouth.

"I will see you tomorrow Casimir, where we will begin our Force training. Have a good night's sleep."

~ Casimir's Personal Quarters ~

His fingers slapped the keys in a relatively quick motion and with each search inquiry, his eyes made even quicker work looking through the details. His search this evening was looking for anything and everything about Jedi mystism. What purpose had the Jedi Order truly served? Could they be trusted? Were they a cult? Did they brainwash people? When research was done in such a frenzied manner, one might have thought the worse, such as the case with many modern films and theater portrayals. Yet, each and every search for the Jedi came up with either no results or basic humanitarian articles. They seemed to have their hands in a bit of everything. They dealt with political situations, military unrest, famine, natural disasters, and even through medical research. They were portrayed as the good ole' boys and girls of the galaxy. Nothing, absolutely nothing, came up that seemed to cast them in a negative light. Every major news article Casimir seemed to find was either neutral or positive.

Leaning back in his chair, the man rubbed his face, his eyes tired, throbbing and bloodshot gave his new room a quick glance about. It was basic, so bland even Goetschl himself felt a bit awkward. There was nothing personable about it and though Casimir loved normality; this blandness was not normal, not even by his standards. It reminded him of a hospital room. A bed pressed against the far wall with a nightstand and lamp. A holo-television against the opposite wall. A private wash-room, a dresser for clothes, a large rug on the floor and a window that opened outward to beautiful Alderaan.

Ja'inn had showed him too his quarters. Meeting the Jedi Knight had been tense, at best. Not much was accomplished though it seemed Casimir had already begun training as a Jedi and never realized it. The questions about the code, the holy code of the Jedi Order and then his response. It seemed out of place and inappropriate but from what the man could gather, Jedi were like the stripes to a Zebra; each one unique in how they handled a situation. Sitting at his desk, Goetschl let out a light sigh before shutting down the computer console and flicking off the light. It was already four thirty in the morning... Ja'inn wanted to meet with him in a few hours.

Sleep was needed.

~ Main Entrance ~

Sleep was such a beautiful thing. It gave the body back its natural luster and appeal. Unfortunately Goetschl looked like a worn down bath rug. His eyes were slightly baggy, showing his lack of sleep the prior evening but still, he was functional and with the aid of his alarm clock, the Padawan ensured that he was on time. Ja'inn did not state where Casimir was suppose to meet him. He only insisted that today would be the day of "Force Training" and from Goetschls private room, all the Padawan knew of the force through his research, was that it was some invisible energy that seemed to give Jedi their power like a battery did the energizer bunny. Without it, they were useless, or as useless as any regular person.

So here he stood, nearly in the same place he had been the day prior, waiting for Ja'inn's arrival.

We dream too long.

Sleeping was never a good thing for Ja'inn since the painful loss of all of his Jedi-friends that died in the tragic explosion on Ando Prime whilst fighting the Dark Jedi of the Bogan. Of course, this resulted in dire consequences, and in some of the worst cases, he could temporarily lose his connection to the thing that powered himself the most, the Force. He had to look forwards, not backwards. A thought had struck Ja'inn, the idea that he dreams too long, and should try to focus on the day coming forth and training with his newly acquired padawan. Although the main objective of this training programme was to accept new people into the Order and train them as the noble Jedi, it taught the Jedi Knights and Masters a lot about themselves, their personalities, and how they could unlock potential within themselves, let alone the Padawan kneeling before them. Ja'inn couldn't fathom on that though, he had to be awake early and help assort some of the datapads into chronological order in the library the following day, and of course, teaching Casimir the ways of the Force.

The morning after followed, it was more of a vicious circle for Ja'inn, something he couldn't escape, another belief he could fathom on his way to the training chambers he once trained in, a chamber where he would become a Jedi Knight as he is today. Ja'inn was surprised to see Casimir arriving earlier than the Jedi Knight, which always brought delight to the teacher, and showed great commitment and punctuation from the student, a key element towards growing and maturing to becoming a Jedi Knight. Ja'inn nodded to the padawan for a brief moment, pulling his hood down as usual, removing his robe and revealing the armor that he was clad underneath, prevoiusly concealed by the traditional Jedi robes. Ja'inn always liked to start with a bold statement.

"The Force. A magical thing, that people used to believe was fiction, and today I shall be teaching it to you padawan. We shall begin with the some practical Force powers."

So this was for real? There would be no butter balling this up in any way. There would be no alternative; other than to simply walk away. Would Casimir take that route? Would he cower and simply hide? If he could be taught the force, then force would serve as an aid. Fantastical abilities and tricks, that was apparently the force and the Jedi Order served as the practitioners in it. Protecting the galaxy while learning the force, seemed a bit of a stretch. Afterall, the only hero's that Casimir ever knew of were those of first responders back home. Nurses, Firefighters, Paramedics and Police Officers, Goetschl had been one of them... yet not anymore. Fate seemed to continue to roll her dice each place he went. Perhaps it was time Goetschl just tried to stop thinking for a moment and simply went with the flow.

"Lead the way."

"Lead the way."

Caed entered the training quarters to the subtle voice of a Padawan speaking in nerves. The former Bogan's eyes would look over the young man much like a serpent would before latching its prey. The Jedi Knights muscled legs striding with an elegance that mimicked royalty; each step couple with an eerie silence. With a passing of oxygen Caed would finally break the silence he carried in.

"Your aptitude proceeds you."

Circling his prey like a firaxen drawn to blood, Caed's golden brown eyes would lower to duracrete taking in this new environment. This young man was in his tutelage now, and it would be the young Ultor's first and perhaps last Padawan. With a huff of air inward his words would finally carry on.

"...nerves are the initial ice to break. Fear of the future is your biggest enemy now, young Goetschl. Once you accept that the ball has been set in motion for the future will you be able to learn what it is to truly wield the Force."

He'd finally stop in front of the man and look into the strangers eyes. The two of them would form a bond if their training was proper, one unlike anything either could explain. It was Caed's own goal to reach this heightened level of attachment, hoping it would perhaps in some way remind him of someone he had lost. This was more a training for himself than for the student before him now...

"I trust you know what the Lightside is... Though I ask, what is the Darkside?"

There were sensations that truly got under Goetschl’s skin; the most annoying being at a point in which he felt like a animal that was about to be served for dinner. The appearance of a man, a relatively imposing man, caught the Padawan off guard. He held the composure of a King and much like a King he made sure that people took notice of his arrival. There was little doubt that Casimir was quick to attention. The man mentioned Goetschl’s aptitude, yet before the Padawan could respond, the man continued on almost immediately.

He brought up nerves and fear of the future.

Those were two subjects Goetschl did not like to discuss. When it came to nerves he had none from his own observations. He preferred to stay alone, to be alone and to work alone. Even during his time as a Paramedic, he often sat in the back with the patient and away from his partner. The idea of thinking of the future seemed almost morbid. Why think about what could be when there was no certainty that one would survive long enough to see a potential dream come about? The best way to live life was simply one day at a time. Take each day as it came on. That was what a Jedi would do, wasn’t it? Goetschl had the feeling he would be finding out soon enough.

Finally the man came to a stop in front of Goetschl and locked eyes. What was the Darkside? Odd question but an interesting one, “Is there actually any sort of ideal as good an evil or are they simply creations used by people to form laws and govern? Who ultimately decides what is good and evil, or in a Jedi’s sense, what is light and dark? If my research was accurate, Jedi strive for the light, or good, but what clasifys what they do as light while other aspects are dark? Isn’t the force a singular entity with no allegiance one way or another?”

Caed's eyes traced Casimir's framework before finally moving inward, the Force allowing him to sense his internal thoughts. The young Padawan had little control over what he simply knew as a magic from within, this allowed the Knight to act so freely against him. Seconds dragged on for hours in a Jedi's mind, time always seeming at a stand still, though forever constant. The former Bogan's mind outreached to Goetschl's and took in his thoughts and emotions, both riddled with confusion it would seem.

"Your aptitude again shines through.."

Caed would smile before turning his back to Casimir, walking towards the door. His voice would project away from the Padawan, but the solitude of the room allowed the sounds to bounce off the walls, filling the training hall with soft echoes.

"..yet you answer no question. You simply answer a question with one of your own.. It is true that Good and Evil are thoughts constructed by individuals or societies to group those deemed different aside. Yet, it is what we choose to do as an individual that echoes in eternity, Caz."

The shortened named flowed off Caed's tongue as quickly and casually as any of his other words had. Whether or not Casimir Goetschl liked his new nickname, it would be the one Caed Ultor would use when speaking.

"In general there are talents that the Jedi reserve as their own in regards to the Force.. As you know the Jedi are defenders, peace keepers, and the guardians of the Republic. There are Force wielders out there who reserve a certain... control over the Force that allows them to do more aggressive abilities, abilities the Jedi wouldn't view as being so passive. You will soon learn talents that every Force wielder must know, and along the way you will learn talents that the Jedi require."

He'd turn to face the former paramedic, the distance between the two being several meters at least. Reaching inward, Caed would beckon the Force to do his will. An energy would fill the room that cooled the senses from all angles. To some the new and foreign feeling could become overwhelming, especially if they had never embraced the Force for what it is; Casimir would be doing just that. Once the two's bodies would relax a wave of Force energy would erupt from the young Ultor's hand; a Force Push.

The wave of energy would be brought upon Casimir like a typhoon. The slam of invisible energy would be like that of running into a wall and the result would send Goetschl flying backwards and into the padded wall behind him. The attack was a surprise, but with the proper training he would be more than able to defend against it. If by some freak chance Casimir was able to block the incoming attack, it'd be more than surprising to the young trainer.

He did not see the attack coming. How could one see an invisible energy? As soon as it hit smacked into him, it felt much like a body belly flopping on water; the air was smashed out of him as his body was flung backwards. His torso was hit, gut and chest, which caused his body to be tossed to the ground. The strength of the attack managed to leverage the body with enough force to send him bouncing off the floor and into the padded wall. The man groaned and rubbed his head while trying to bring himself back to his feet; the best he did was bring himself to his knees.

"Have you lost your mind?"
Goetschl asked, giving the man a half glare, half surprised look. "What the hell was that for? Incase you did not notice, I can't dodge what I cannot see." He was irritated and irked. Taking a deep breath back in, Casimir finally rose back to his feet. "You mention talents of the Jedi and how they are passive defenders. That technique did not seem so passive did it?"

He shook the tension from his body before adding another question ontop of the series he already asked, "How is someone suppose to defend against something they cannot see?"

Caed watched as the man who nearly rivaled him in age toppled into the padded wall. A sigh escaped his lips as if in disappointment, but what could one truly expect from a new trainee? Smiling as he managed to climb to his knees, Caed would tune into his pupil's words.

"Some would say I have... I am no traditional Jedi, I promise you that.."

Caed paused but briefly to continue.

"I once fell to the darkside, was lured by its temptations. I assure you, your training will prepare you for the Bogan as well as the Universe..."

He'd ignore the man's comment as to why he had done it and how to prepare for it. That answer would come with time.

"The Force is a powerful ally, it is all you will ever need to survive in this Universe after learning its talents. You will understand attack from defense, light from dark, and passive from aggressive, in time.."

It was the man's final question that brought a smirk to Caed's face. It was the easiest of all to answer, provided the young man understand.

"With your senses.. how does a blind man see? He uses his other senses..."

Caed would pause briefly this time.

"Focus your mind as you never have before. Reach inward an sense what this training facility offers in guidance and Force Energy... With each breath you take inward with the Force do you breath. Once you are able to sense your surroundings will you be able to truly begin your training."

Goetschl did not care who said what about themselves. Honestly, all anyone had in life was themselves and the idea of who was traditional and non-traditional Jedi was as blurred to Casimir as water colors blending together on a painters canvas. Jedi were Jedi. It was that simple. Either you followed the Orders Code, or you did not. There was no inbetween. They claimed to believe in Light and Dark; essentially cut and dry. Regardless, Caed was a Jedi. Whether he was a traditional one or not; well that was self-perception. Nothing more.

He then went on to explain that he had fallen to the Darkside, lured by temptation then stated that Casimirs training would prepare him to face Bogans and the Universe. Honestly, there was only one thing that terrified any and every man. Himself. It did not matter what people Casimir did not know did. Their choices were there own and if Goetschl was suppose to become some law enforcement force user, then so be it; the question that remained was whether or not the galaxy was ready for a split mind like Goetschl wielding such abilities?

He rambled on about being able to decipher tit from tat, up from down, inside from outside or whatever other nonsense he was spewing. Goetschl stopped listening when his irritation was growing. What was with all the Jedi and their senseless chitter chatter. Does anyone he believe in just answering a question? Sure Goetschls way of answering things was with his own but the man did not drudge on sentence after sentence.

The idea of using the senses was a sound one. He had a point. Blind people uses their ears and sense of smell primarily with touch being secondary. Every other sense was heightened but Casimir was not blind. He could see, touch, smell, hear and taste anything and everything. Even when Caed explained the idea that each breath was breathing the force, Goetschl could feel it. Then perhaps one of the most ludicris ideas ever was presented when the Knight told Casimir that he would need to feel his surroundings. Feel what? The walls? The floor? The ceiling? His clothes? They were all inanimate objectes.

Still the training needed to continue and Goetschl simply nodded his head.

Caed's own connection with the Force told him his Padawan was slowly getting there. Judging by his facial expression he was beginning to understand the inward connection the Force brought on, now it was to bring it outward.

"You feel that energy you take in with each breath, I sense that... How you may ask?"

His light strolls carried him to just behind Casimir's left shoulder. He'd turn to face the man so he could hear him clearly.

"That same feeling can be outstretched, beckon that energy to feel... reach outward... The world as you see it will open up in a way you've never known if you can do this.."

It was at this moment Casimir Goetschl would know whether or not he has what it takes to become a wielder of the Force, and a member of the Jedi Order.

From his readings, Goetschl understood the idea of the force. The force was viewed much as Caed explained; it was essentially in everything. That was the key point. The force itself was not everything but was in and around everything. Even further in his readings from the prior nights, the Padawan had understood that each Jedi was just as unique as a finger print. That was why Jedi were pair together and not mass trained through a boot camp styled program. Training Jedi in large groups limited their natural abilities as it did not allow for individuality; by training them in pairs, it gave Padawans the chance to explore the force on their own.

He did not view the force as openly as other people. Goetschl had to link it to something. The idea was to view the force as an object that he knew all to well, something he actually liked to see and to observe; nothing better than a whirlpool. Goetschl focused his mind, not on his surroundings as Caed wanted but on the immediate area surrounding him.

It felt much like a tingle on the back of his hands, as though they had fallen asleep. Then the air itself seemed to move in a swirling motion, without actually causing a wind. Goetschl, keeping his mind as focused as he could, felt the retraints of the room; the walls, ceilings, and floor. As though he were the eye of the whirlpool, the man then felt Caed, his essence acting as a counter balance to Casimir's perception of the force. The Knight was like a rock and it was here that the Padawan realized that anything of any real significance, the force would alert him too.

Intriguing.

But would this new sight... the blind sight... or possibly sixth sense aid in avoiding an attack like the one Caed used on Goetschl earlier?

"Can you try that technique again?" Goetschl asked, turning to face Caed fully.

The sense was the most powerful tool the Force gave the Jedi, and Cas was finally getting a grip on that sense. It probably felt like seconds to the young man, but they had been there for nearly a quarter of a galactic hour before his senses finally began to outreach. It was patience that was nearly as important an ally as the Force to a Force wielder, especially a Jedi. Caed would answer his Padawan's newest request not by acting out, but again guiding.

"You take steps in a direction you know little of without fear.. Courage is a trait that can get you killed..."

He paused for only a second.

"but can also bring you possibilities unlike any other. You would indeed sense the same wave of energy coming at you, this I promise."

His body had been casually strolling until finally stopping again several feet away from the slightly younger man's "12 o'clock."

"This action cannot be stopped by simply seeing it, you must respond to it. The Force shall guide you, if you ask of it, but you must also rely on your own instincts."

Taking in a breath the Force began to channel to the former Bogan's core, an almost pressure building that was waiting to be released.

"Act against the push with one of your own and it is possible they will balance. Avoid the wall of incoming energy all together, and you put yourself at an advantage."

Caed would release that build up of energy, only this time the push was far less than it had been the first time. It would be no different than if Casimir had been hit by a man of equal stature at full sprint; enough to send him back, perhaps injure, but only a bump in comparison to the last.
