DESCRIPTION​

The CDEF blaster pistol is a hand blaster manufactured by Corellian Arms and primarily sold to CorSec, the state police service of the Corellian system. Elegantly simple and reliable, CDEF blasters are rarely seen outside Corellian space, although it is possible to purchase them on the civilian market. Like most blasters of their type, CDEFs have a range of 30 meters, a 100-shot power pack and the capability to fire either lethal or stun bolts.

CDEF blasters are a hot item on the black market, with most examples in circulation being stolen police issue. Certain models also have some collectible status; examples made prior to the Imperial era can command a premium, as the Empire largely disarmed CorSec during its reign. Most examples in circulation are from New Republic-era production batches.

LEGALITY​

Legal. Ownership of blaster pistols is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, however openly carrying such a weapon in public might be on more "civilized" worlds. On less civilized worlds, it still might draw unwanted scrutiny.
