Central Command
Military Operations
Kin'chal/Kin'tal Joint Groups

For specific technology, refer to the write-up linked in the signature.

Officially founded soon after the Imperial merchant vessel crash, this group is the Kin'chal war-machine in its full glory. With thousands of ships and billions of war personnel, not including the various war-droids and non-sentient technology at their disposal, they're a considerable fighting force in and of themselves. Since they're founding, they've been led along by the Disciples Of Melaxi, as well as their own creative twists to technologies they reverse-engineered from the Imperial vessel.

Due to their focus on proper hyperdrives and engine technologies, as well as defensive armor, their weapons technology is still projectile based. However, they've made up for that shortcoming with the ability to install and maintain multiple weapons on ships and vehicles, as well as making highly effective small arms weaponry and combat armor. Their command structure is based on a naval-command-over-army-command style. In essence, it means the fleet has higher authority than the ground personnel.

Their structure dictates this loosely, however, allowing ground personnel to override a naval officer's command if the need is dire enough. While the military is supposedly all-Kin'chal, there are unique individuals of the Kin'tal species who have trained to go into combat as officers or specialists. Most Kin'tal involvement with the military beyond these individuals is in support roles, such as medical personnel and on-site researchers.

Military Rank Structure

Commander-In-General/Commandant - Highest ranking Kin'chal, commands both branches of the military.

Admiral/Commander - Admirals make up the naval high command, usually commanding 2/30ths of the entire fleet. Commanders make up the ground-based part of high command, usually commanding 1/56th of all ground forces.

Officers - Higher-ranking members of the military, they command various amounts of troops and ships. This can be a General/Navy Commodore, or below.

Enlisted - Any enlisted soldier who's not a commanding officer, from Sergeant on down.

Active(Contact Fleet):

Three Melaxi-class Cruisers

One Reaver-class Mass Cruiser

Location: Unknown.

Inactive:

Undisclosed amount of Melaxi-class ships.

Fourteen Reaver-class Mass Cruisers

Location: Tuazi Star System

Disciples Of Melaxi

So, the history of the Disciples. We're talking back to the first kingdom's founding, when Tal'koon was created under the Elder Tiv'koon. Well, most Kin'tal were able to settle down, leading lives alongside their Kin'chal counterparts. Despite unsophisticated raids by barbaric brethren, the kingdom was peaceful. And Melaxi, only recently dead and with her teachings fresh, an order of reclusive scholars formed, calling themselves Disciples. Made up of Force-sensitives, their purpose was to master and document their powers, to see what their species was destined to become.

And for a while, they were left in peace amidst the mountains and valleys that lay scattered about, their followers referred to as Druids. They acted as observers along the civilized and uncivilized border, watching how a peaceful and chaotic society could exist side-by-side. Knowledge fascinated them as a whole, always pushing themselves to master new abilities that were revealed to them. And, because of their remoteness, they found it necessary to master the use of their enviroment and tools as defense. Before the Kin'chal ever created their first weapons, the Disciples had already mastered the creation of those same weapons of death.

Armed with these weapons and their knowledge, they slowly became a more active group along the border, trying to urge society on. They instigated the war that would tear Tal'koon apart and force the Kin'chal to confront their original roots as warriors and hunters, as well as their barbaric brethren. In the end, the Disciples were forced to act once more, devastating the horde they had provoked. After that, they withdrew entirely from society, returning to their studies with new insight into their own minds.

Centuries passed and nations developed, the Force-affinity of the Kin'tal spreading slowly but surely. Those who didn't gain the genes for it slowly found themselves obsolete, dying out if they weren't able to adapt. Eventually, a unified government came about and everything the two species' knew was turned about. An Imperial merchant vessel of the first Empire crashed, with one survivor and a myriad of information and technology.

Now, we move forward once more, to the now. The Disciples work hand-in-hand with the Kin'chal military and the unique Kin'tal that are willing to fight and defend. An order based on knowledge and martial prowess, as well as more common Kin'tal-developed technologies and sciences, they prove invaluable to the future of their kind.

The current policy of the Disciples is to observe the military, aid the first contact mission, and to safeguard the star system in case of hostilities.

The Disciples' Rankings

First Elder - Usually the oldest of the Disciples is chosen as the First, the ultimate leader of the Disciples. Both skilled, knowledgeable, and wise, the First decides what policies the Disciplehood upholds among itself.

Elders - The Elders are made up of varying minor leaders, who act as enforcers of the policies and decisions made by the First. They also regulate who accesses the stores of knowledge held within the Disciplehood's sanctuaries. Also includes doing a Disciple's duties.

Disciple - A Disciple is a member of the Disciplehood who has been intiated beyond simply being a Scholar. Their duties are to observe the military, aid whatever cause fits into the current policies, and act as judges, jury, and executioner when the need arises.

Scholar - A Scholar is an initiate into the Disciplehood, usually one of the newest generation of Kin'tal. They start out by studying under a Disciple, and then an Elder, before undergoing an intiation into the rank of Disciple.

The Council Of Two

View attachment 317

"We can't condone the course you have chosen for us, First Elder of the Disciples... But we will allow it as to do otherwise would anger our counterparts, lovers and families alike. So with a heavy heart and worried mind, we accept this decision of first contact. The military has agreed to field the Necil, with the Ven, Mitos, and Pelin as escorts.... While we disagree with your decisions, we offer our blessing... An observer will go with you."

-Ascendant Her'yul Vas

The Council Of Two is the combined councils of the Tal and Chal. Made up of higher-ranking Chal from the military, specifically the Admirals and Generals headed by the Commandant, the Tal headed by their Ascendant and Elders. The Disciples mantain a Disciple-Observer in all proceedings, with rare occasions involving an Elder or the First Elder. All on the Council are considered equal, making joint decisions to dictate the course of their two species. In this way, they maintain a semblance of order.

Location: The Council Of Two is housed, when not active elsewhere, aboard the city-station Voidless. Housing up to two million inhabitants, it's location is between both Kinnas and Ilos, near the smaller planetoid Kinnas'Ilos.

Political Stance: The Council Of Two is divided. Most of the Chal, and a few Tal Elders, agree with the Disciples' plans for first contact. Others remain reluctant. In the Tauzi system, they await confirmation of their hopes... and their fears.
