It was utter chaos beyond the hidden veil of Korriban House, men, women and countless other races, species and sexes ran back and forth trying to both figure out what to do and what was going to happen next. Only hours before a Declaration had been made, the Empire had been torn asunder and the Sith Order had been thrown out on the street. Alaric stood just beyond the veil watching the pandemonium unfold, unlike outside, this side of the veil it was a controlled evacuation of the house. The Inquisitorius had quickly chosen their future path within a few minutes of the Declaration, Altair Din was a traitor and their loyalty would continue to follow the rightful leadership of the Sith.

The Acolyte-Inquisitor had been tasked with keeping an eye on the veil as the House began dismantling itself behind him. The files were being transferred to portable devices, before being wiped and then burned, all records of their hidden identities were also being destroyed, they would rebuild like the Order at large. But it would take time.

A Sith Pureblood woman stumbled next to the veil, her hand skidding ever so close to breaking the sacred veil of the Korriban House. A blade appeared in the Acolyte's hand a moment later, as soon as a single molecule of the woman’s being slipped beyond the veil, her life was forfeit. That was their creed, only those accepted could pass the veil and keep their life for their own. His mahogany eyes locked on the tips of her fingers as they scrambled underneath her, quickly she pulled herself and sprinted further down the corridor. The tension across Alaric’s shoulder released and the blade slipped back into the sheath at the small of his back.

A limp foot brushed against his leg as the body of the last unfortunate soul, who had fallen through the veil was dragged away to be burned with the machines and files later today.

A warmth filtered across the air, warming his back. The fires had begun, Master Auriel had already departed with one of the two copies of the House’s files. The other was with an unknown Inquisitor who had slipped away amongst his brethren. Only a few were left now, including most of the Acolytes, they were deemed the most replaceable, having not yet refined their skills or gained the knowledge of the Files. But their zeal was the most fresh against the atrocity of Altair’s declaration, they would defend the House like animals instead of skilled combatants.

A roar of flames was followed by a rush of wind sucked through the veil, another room was to ablaze, perhaps their living quarters. It was expected that some of the Inquisitors would have kept secret information within their own spaces, everything must be erased, less the Empire try to utilise the Sith’s secret weapon against them. Sweat began to pool on the back of Alaric’s neck as the warmth began to increase behind him. Another pair of Inquisitor’s moved quickly past, disappearing beyond the veil and into the mass of Sith evacuating Korriban. Sounds of alarm rang throughout the Sith Temple, the Empire was on its way.

Another roar of flames burst through the House, perhaps the communal areas deep below were now aflame. The sound of fire seemed to catch the attention of a couple who passed, they looked to be Champion’s though newly minted, as they carried themselves with the distinct lack of bravado many among the Order carried once they had a semblance of power within their grasp.

“Fuck. Move along, come on.” Alaric muttered under his breath, as their gaze washed over the veil. To the outside it would seem like nothing but another corridor wall in the immense labyrinth of the Sith Temple, but if studied closely with The Force you could see through the illusion. Alaric let out a short low whistle, signalling to another Acolyte further back that they may soon have attention.

A young woman, with raven black hair, deep red skin and a half dozen golden piercings across her face stepped up next to him. “What Alaric, don't you think you can handle two on your own?” She said to him with a smirk. “Numbers game?” He replied with a cheeky grin. “Seven.” “Six.” The Pureblood hesitated for a moment. “Five.” “Fuck me, someone is feeling confident tonight.”
