HARRY HOUDINI
[/fancybox2]
2267fc7b085672b63bb6625735a9b548.jpg
Full Name: Harold "Harry" Houdini
Age: 17

Hometown: Budapest

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 156 lbs

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Black
Skin Tone: White

PERSONALITY

Harry is a bit of a trouble maker at heart. He loves to show off his abilities whenever possible. As a young child he would often get scolded for showing off in front of muggles. Usually it was explained away as a simple trick but as he got older the punishments had to get worse. He is not as reckless as he once was, but still enjoys to cause a little mischief when he can. One of the only things he takes seriously is the practice of his magical abilities. Otherwise, you will usually find him laughing with friends and causing mischief. When it comes to morals, Harry is good-hearted where it counts. Murder, kidnapping, and more serious crimes are not something he goes near. On the other hand morals are loose when it comes to minor things like lying, petty theft, and scuffles. If a friend is in trouble he will come to the rescue, but will bring a lot of sass with it.

ABILITIES

great_chain_escape-med.jpg
Harry excels at using magic to break locks, open doors, and overall find his way out of trouble. If it involves breaking out or into something, it is likely he has perfected the spells. Combat skills are no stranger either, but not nearly as specialized. He has learned to stun someone pretty well with Stupefy and can defend himself with protego and flipendo. Harry also has learned a few spells that can cause mischief like turning stairs into slick ramps. Aside from magic, he is also good at some muggle skills like acrobatics and fist fighting. Due to his background in the muggle world he can fit in without magic if he feels like it.

BACKGROUND

welsh.jpg
Harry Houdini was raised in a family of muggle circus performers. His father was the ring master and guided the whole show. As a young boy it was quickly, but quietly, discovered that the young Harold had magical abilities that went beyond normal means. These uncontrolled yet sometimes predictable powers were used to put the young boy into the show as early as age five. As a young kid his father would trap him in a box, under water, or find some other way to put the boy into a panic in front of people. As if by clockwork the magic would kick in and poof, Harry was free.

This continued on for a few years with varying stunts dreamed up by his father. Some showed concern for the boy's safety but it was mostly brushed aside. His father usually just told people it was all planned and perfectly safe. It wasn't. Once the boy was old enough to go to Hogwarts his muggle family hesitantly sent him off. One of their best performers would be at boarding school during the year they would tell people. He was studying to better their business was the usual line. Each year the young wizard dreaded returning to the muggle circus family as he learned more and more about his new world.

Once he reached his second-to-last year, he had stopped going home entirely over the summer breaks. The circus moved around enough that he just claimed to forget where they went and stayed with other friends. Despite his mischievous nature, he got along well with other members of the Gryffindor house and was simply known as the class clown. His teachers both loved him for his dedication to magic and hated him for his constant trouble making schemes. When the new year started, he was excited for his new magic classes and his teachers prepared for another year of pranks.

EQUIPMENT

img-thing
Like most Wizards, Houdini carries a wand that is mostly kept in the sleeves of his cloak. He has both wizard and muggle clothing depending on where he is heading for the day. His cloak serves for both in most cases. Harry also has a pet Squirrel that mostly runs free without a cage. Otherwise he doesn't tend to carry much with him. In no way is he rich, but he gets by and carries enough money from both worlds to survive.

Adam Chadwick
[/fancybox2]
Andrew-Heat-Magazine-Photoshoot-2007-andrew-garfield-18519983-312-400.jpg
Full Name ~ Adam Chadwick
Age ~ 17
Hometown ~ London
Bloodline ~ Pureblood

Height ~ 5’10” / 179 cm
Weight ~ 155 lb / 70 kg

Eye Color ~ Hazel
Hair Color ~ Brown
Skin Tone ~ Fair
House ~ Ravenclaw

Voice Example ~ Andrew Garfield
Theme ~ Owl City - To the Sky

Personality

One of the brightest minds in Ravenclaw, Adam is a charming young man who exudes optimism and politeness wherever he goes. One can find him laughing with his friends and making small talk with other students, but more often he is nose-deep in a book relating to his studies. Although Adam doesn’t read simply for the sake of reading, he will research extensively in the fields of his homework to completely understand the subject. Sometimes this has made more than a few of his friends upset with him, as Adam will decline spending time with them in lieu of devoting more time to study. However, some people suspect he’s actually going there to stalk other students while under the pretence of doing homework and reading.

At heart, Adam is a true gentleman. Speaking eloquently and politely, using the finer points of grammar, and continually practicing chivalrous behaviour make him a favourite among plenty of the school’s professors. One will not find him wandering around at night or breaking other rules; Adam tries his utmost to stay out of trouble and for the most part dissociates with those who do. With this in mind, he isn’t a tattletale and avoids conflict of any sort as much as he can. If Adam sees someone breaking the rules, he will sometimes confront them depending on how serious the offence is, but he won’t bring it up to a teacher. This is one of the main reasons he wasn’t elected a prefect; he can’t force anyone to be accountable.

Although it isn’t too difficult to for Adam to get frustrated or upset, one would be hard pressed to make him legitimately angry. The only occasions in which he would raise his voice or confront someone is if one of his friends is in danger, or if a girl is being abused by another student. Adam also as a general rule tolerates Griffindors and likes Hufflepuffs, but dislikes Slytherins due to rather bad experiences with them over the years.

Adam suffers from self esteem issues, especially when it comes to his looks. There are a lot of other good-looking guys in the school, and Adam has had very little success with girlfriends over the years. When he is in the presence of a particularly pretty girl or someone he likes, he will grow quiet and awkward - quite the opposite of his usual self. Adam judges himself constantly and compares himself to his friends and other people, often having bouts of depression if he reflects about it for any great length of time. He needs lots of encouragement and socialization to stay out of this mindset.

Magical Aptitude
tumblr_mre00rCTUK1rj3uj2o1_500.gif
While capable as any witch or wizard in performing various spells and hexes, Adam is by far the most proficient in the field of charms. Due to his natural tendency to enunciate, charms come natural to him and he enjoys the subject immensely. Flitwick is Adam’s favourite professor and often stays behind to discuss the intricacies of certain spells they reviewed each class.

One particular subject that Adam has shown considerable interest in as well is wandlore. Unfortunately, there aren’t any elective choices that he is able to take that covers the subject, so he is slowly taking the time to do as much research as he can on it. His current plans once he finishes school is to either pursue his work in charms or become an assistant at Ollivanders, with the goal to start up his own wand making business.

Adam has absolutely no finesse on a broomstick and no real love for sports, which is why he hasn’t tried out on the Ravenclaw quidditch team. While he still goes to the matches to support his House and spend time with his friends, Adam wouldn’t enjoy going to the World Cup for any other reason than to hang out with his friends. His second least favourite subject is Herbology, as he abhors dealing with plants and dirt in general, not to mention magical - and potentially life-threatening - ones.

Transfiguration is the second subject that Adam shows the most aptitude towards. While interested changing the appearance of objects at a whim, he much more enjoys the flamboyance and elaborate spells he is capable of doing in charms. Adam has entertained the idea of becoming an Animagus, but could never decide what animal he’d like to be and was daunted by the difficulty of the process.

He can’t wait to take Apparition in the upcoming year; he is incredibly excited to have the ability to ‘warp’ from one place instantly to another.

Background

Adam was born into a pureblood family, living in a quiet community just outside London. He is familiar with both Muggle and Magical family customs, as his mother and father made sure he was well-versed in both as Adam grew up.

His parents both work at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries; his father is a healer, and his mother is a nurse. Because of this, the Chadwicks are quite well off and provided Adam with the best supplies he needed for school. Mr. Chadwick works on the fourth floor of St. Mungo’s, the Spell Damage ward.

Adam lived a relatively normal life, and didn’t start showing any magical abilities until he was 9. For a long time, his parents thought he wouldn’t become a wizard, not until one day when he sneezed and blue sparks shot out from his mouth. Overjoyed, they celebrated that night and sure enough, a letter for Hogwarts came a few months later.

Most Professors at Hogwarts would call Adam a model student. He’s had very high grades in most subjects ever since he began school, with very few incidents. There was one occasion where he took on a Slytherin and a Griffindor student to defend a girl they were bullying, but ended up in the Hospital Wing for his efforts.

To this day, Adam is known mostly for his studious nature and work with Charms. One of his primary skills is that he is able to learn new things much faster than many other students. He is also unfortunately well known for not being able to get into a serious relationship. This has lead to some curious whispers; some say he’s gay, but most think he was cursed on his first date a couple years back and just can’t get a girl since. To this day Adam vehemently denies either, but avoids talking about it nonetheless.

With the small amount of wandlore that he’s studied, Adam has attempted making a few wands with the materials he can salvage or afford. While he’s unable to acquire any of Ollivander’s three best wand cores (unicorn hair, dragon heartstring, and phoenix feather), he’s experimenting with other magical cores to test their effectiveness. So far Adam’s been very careful and has avoided blowing up the Ravenclaw common room, though most students don’t like being around when he’s creating or testing the instruments. Before he goes to bed in the evenings, Adam often takes a knife and wittles one of the many dowels of various wood types to create the wand casings. He personally prefers elegance over raw power or practicality, and takes extra care and effort to carve ornate designs and patterns into the wands. He has a box next to his bed, full of discarded and finished wands of various sorts.

Wand / Cyra
07cace1f48472e068f192c519f8cdfe30bfc070f_hq.jpg
Like most students that attend Hogwarts, Adam purchased his wand in his first year from Garrick Ollivander. It is made of elm, a wood known for choosing wizards with exceptional magical dexterity. The core of the semi-stiff 11 ¾ inch instrument is a dragon heartstring, which combined with the elm makes Adam the ability to cast very powerful and elegant spells. Despite the tendency for dragon heartstring cores to make accidents, this is countered by the elm and results in relatively few mishaps. Adam’s wand follows the traits of a normal elm, in that it’s sophisticated and is capable of highly advanced magic.

amerika-schleiereule_01.jpg
Cyra is the name of Adam’s faithful Barn Owl. Although his mother and father already own an owl, theirs is older and used mostly for their work. After his first year, Adam’s parents decided to award his excellent grades with his choice of owl. After spending some time in consideration, he bought Cyra, a fledgeling at the time, at a pet store in Diagon Alley.

Since then, she has grown into a beautiful and intelligent bird that has yet to fail him once in delivering a post. Although a loving and usually docile animal, Cyra has been known to be very protective of Adam and becomes alarmingly jealous when she feels or sees him becoming attached to someone. This often results in mean nipping, a strangely sassy attitude, and other behaviours that make it quite clear Cyra is displeased with Adam.

Despite this, the two still love each other very much. The duo routinely celebrate each other’s birthdays and Christmas by getting special treats and other gifts; something a bit unusual for people to do with their pets. Cyra is also quite a vocal and expressive owl, hooting her disapproval or rubbing affectionately up against Adam (whichever mood she’s in at the time) during meal times when the mail is delivered.

Age: 17
Hometown: Manchester
Height: 6'5'' (196 cm)
Weight: 220 pounds (100 kg)
Eye color: Brown
Hair color: Also brown
Skin tone: English palefish, plaster, white
House: Ravenclaw

Personality

Quiet and rather timid. You wouldn't expect a teenage boy to evince any great insight on himself or his nature, would you? Well perhaps Jack (to his friends... sadly none) might. Not unhappy with his lot, he supposes. These are volatile times and while the universal adolescent inverse of love and popularity --indifference-- might quite sting, it seems to be useful in light of the political environment... especially for a half-blood.

Abilities

None insofar as they might merit mention: his uncle Eddie tried to teach him how to play the guitar ("gels love that sort of thing m'boy") and he can play the occasional bit of skiffle. He has an excellent memory and an eye for collecting (though he never could do bugs --his poor mum had always been a bit of a clean freak) so he settled for marbles. Dab hand at the game too, though the wizarding equivalent strikes him as appalling.

He did get his A-levels (his mum insisted, and he'd always felt more mugglish than anything else under that gangly frame) so one supposes that counts for something.

His talents in most of Hogwarts subjects are not indifferent --he is a dab hand with the more mundane charms, and has long since learned, as a matter of parsimony, to transfigure clothing rather well (a cheeky reference to visiting Madame Malkin --the less reputable sister-- set his cheeks flaming.) His best subjects, in order would be History (perhaps Hogwart's finest student in the generations following Professor Binns' death day), Herbology, Potions, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. He is, in most other respects, a studiously mediocre wizard, and rather pants at fighting.

Background

Manc lad. Half-blood. His da was the wizard. Died early. Mum makes her living as a laundress and seamstress.

Equipment

His da's wand. His grandpa's Thiel pocketwatch (got it during the war.) The standard equipment demanded by the Hogwarts curriculum.

[fancybox2]PERSONALITY[/fancybox2]
Brodie is a reclusive kid who mainly just keeps to himself as he is often either shunned or attacked for his view on magic, as he doesn't enjoy it as much as other kids. It simply caused his naturally muggle family to freak out and hate him because of his magic. The unstable family often leads to him hating magic in turn, despite his finesse in it. He has a love hate relationship with magic that he flicks between in stages. He is good with magic, ahead of everyone is his charms classes by miles, yet he doesn't like it.

However his thirst for knowledge is unquenchable and he will often be found reading quietly at the side of the courtyard or anywhere else in Hogwarts to be honest. He has a thrill for excitement however when he stays up late at night, either in the restricted section or anywhere to be honest. He loves the adrenaline that pumps through his veins when he breaks that rule. All in the search for knowledge! Makes you wonder why he is a slytherin.

He is an emotional glass box when it comes to emotions as he can't conceal them for a moment though he desperately tries to hide it. This often in his early years getting bullied as he often lost his cool or has been devolved into a crying mess. This often means that he isn't the most fore coming with friendships as he feels that he can't keep his emotions in check. He rarely talks to people in his house as he is constantly bullied for being a mudblood and is often deemed "not worthy enough" for the title as part of the Slytherin house. However his puppy was threatened once and he was removed from classes for a week following a group of boys being admitted to the medical ward.

BIOGRAPHY[/FANCYBOX2]

[FANCYBOX2]
724d836a2885a42ba62ee2e6668d80c2.jpg
Brodie was raised in what the public thought was a normal family for the first few years of his life. Born to a muggle family as the youngest of 5 children, Brodie was often disregarded and left on his own to discover the world, which led to a lot of visits to A&E as a kid. This in turn did raise some suspicion on how the child seemed to be almost living in the accident and emergency ward and that in turn did raise some eyebrows. The main incident that caused Brodie to be taken off of his parents was when he was was 7 years old. His parents had been arguing and Brodie being an annoying seven year old asked what the problem was. Which in turn, made his mum turn so quickly to strike the child. She was so angry she forgot the knife she had in her hand as it struck against the child's face, which he promptly rushed to get stitches. [/FANCYBOX2]
[FANCYBOX2]

So he was taken off his parents and thrust into the new environment of a foster home which in turn made him not have the same social skills as everyone else. He went to a muggle school for the first few years of his life and his teachers liked him apart from the fact the child had no social skills at all. He could barely call his name on the register. He started to display his first hints of magic when he got angry and promptly made a table fly across the room. He received his letter to Hogwarts's shortly afterwards. The foster home were happy to have the child taken off their hands so he packed his bags and left to Hogwarts!

He is fairly cheap and didn't go all out school materials and supplies due to his limited amounts of cash. He simply has enough for his books and school supplies and has received a grant to pay for his school supplies. While Brodie may be a rule breaker at night, he is a good student during the day and often receives O's for all of his subjects. [/FANCYBOX2][FANCYBOX2][/fancybox2]
[FANCYBOX2][/fancybox2]

[FANCYBOX2]
MAGICAL EXPERTISE[/FANCYBOX2]
tom-holland-62315.jpg
Brodie's expertise lies in charms and hexes and he loves the subject to pieces. He often pulls straight A's and bests the majority of the class in the subject due to his dedication of learning and enhancing his knowledge. He often goes at the end of classes to speak to his teachers to learn more about it and to receive extra tuition.

His second area of expertise is in the care of Magical Beasts as he enjoys the freedom of it and to discover what lies beyond the muggle world in terms of creatures and such. He mainly enjoys it for the freedom it brings but he loves it as he was clueless before he joined. .

[FANCYBOX2]
WAND[/FANCYBOX2]
wand-light_brown-average-carved_handle.png
  • Holly is one of the rarer kinds of wand woods; traditionally considered protective, it works most happily for those who may need help overcoming a tendency to anger and impetuosity. At the same time, holly wands often choose owners who are engaged in some dangerous and often spiritual quest. Holly is one of those woods that varies most dramatically in performance depending on the wand core, and it is a notoriously difficult wood to team with phoenix feather, as the wood's volatility conflicts strangely with the phoenix's detachment. In the unusual event of such a pairing finding its ideal match, however, nothing and nobody should stand in their way.
  • Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may 'die' and need replacing.

Ainsley Abernethy

BuwB1xuCEAA2U9r.jpg

NAME Ainsley Abernethy AGE 17 YEAR: 6 HEIGHT: 5'8" WEIGHT: Jog on HOUSE: Slytherin/ Prefect
HOMETOWN:
A farm near Ormiston, Scotland (you haven't heard of it, so don't ask me stupid questions. It's near Edinburgh)
PATRONUS: Sea Lion

I will be Head Girl: Ainsley at Hogwarts

latest
Ambitious.

Ask any polite company to describe Ainsley Abernethy, and that is the guaranteed response. Furthermore, thats about as far as polite company gets before they cease being polite. From year one it was clear this wild little girl was hungry for everything the school could offer, and willing to work hard for it; though it wasn't until the end of her second year that her boisterous enthusiasm transifgured into freakish drive. Until then she had been oddly innocent and approachable compared to the rest of her house. Now...well now she is a Prefect, and newly appointed Captian and star keeper of the Quidditch team. House Slytherin is currently filled with rumors that she is being scouted.

Since the begining she has always been a straight O student, with the occasional E, usually occompanied by 48 hours during which she should be avoided. Once she received an A in astronomy 4th year. All we know is that all students present in the common room are sworn to secrecy about her reaction. Once upon a time there was also a famous red rash the plagued the cheeks of older Slytherin boys. Again, they kept mysteriously silient, but old olivander would recognize the lash of a particularly "swishy" Rowan wood wand he sold to a little red head scotish girl.

As a prefect, her character evolved further. She has a severe gaze, and is rarely ever seen to really smile. There is no mistake that she want the role of head girl, and to her credit, though she is very strict, Ainsley is considered among the more fair (less bias) Prefects house Slytherin has. Her country accent is still thick, she has obviously taken pains to thin it considerabely over the years. She is certianly still outspoken, though what she used to accomplish with frantic volume, she now does with a scathing wit. Behind closed doors she is still known to swing a mean left and use her wand as a switch. She dresses very well, and prefers to wear her hair down.

Ainsley has worked hard to excel in her many disciplines at Hogwarts, but her hardest work was to earn the respect of her own house. She is a mixed-blood child, and from an exceptionally modest background on a sheep farm. In second year, she started helping the groundskeeper as work-study to earn school and spending money. While she still does this off and on during the year, she no longer discusses it with fellow students, as it was once a source of great ridicule. Her biggest secret would be how lonely she still feels at Hogwarts. Much of her house make for poor friendships, as they stem from mutual benefit, power plays, or putting on of airs. Meanhwile most of the other students consider her to be incapable of anything but frigid ambition, and competitive arrogance. This is another reason she spends free time tending the stables.

There is one other place Ainsley can be found on the rare occasion she considers herself free of other responsibility, or after a Quidditch win. Shopping in Hogsmeade is a near theraputic practice for her, and The Three Broomsticks is no stranger to this thirsty Scottish girl. She's also been known to sneak off to the Hogs Head, and some students indulge in rumors of the Slytherin Prefect having a secret affair with some shady character, or even the mysterious proprietor. Hogwarts does love to gossip.

Her special areas of focus are Defense against the Dark Arts, Potions & Charms, and spending time working with magical beasts (though she restrains the joy this brings her around others). She also takes Quidditch very seriously, and it extremely competitive. While she bagan as a star chaser, taking quickly to the skill of broomsmanship, she captains the team as a near impenitrable keeper. From this position she observes and strategizes, and is known for barking cryptic play orders at her teamates. Once a proud member of the dueling club, she sacrificed that extracuricular to her other studies (in truth, she was asked to leave, as her tactics were very sly, exploitive, and unforgiving. That conversation is another that those involved, do not talk about).

While Ainsley professes an interest in being an Auror on track for Minister, there are also rumors that her interst in the dark arts has blurred the lines of defensive practice, and she is known for being reigned in from expirimentation in advanced potions. But Hogwarts is filled with rumors after all, how much truth could there be...

The Muggle Left Behind

good2.jpg

The Abernethy clan had been pure-blood nobility for generations, with a predominantly Slytherin lineage. Then came Douglas. The youngest son of the current generation, he lakced the cut-throat ambitioin of his predecesors, and was much more intersested in caring for other living things before himself, especially animals. he was sorted Huffelpuff in school, and the it seemed the family's concerns were proven true. He was barely interested in magic more than anything else, and when he left school he worked with for the ministry in caring for magical beasts for a few years, before marrying a muggle woman, and settling down on sheep farm a few kilometers outside of Edinburgh.

Ainsley felt trapped on that farm her whole life. She learned to work, and liked the znimals (more than she will ever admit), but once her father made the mistake of showing her magic to save her from a Kelpie, she resented her isolation. She made constant attempts to run away to Edinburgh, as well as contact her mysterious granparents she had never met. Hogwarts was exactly what she had always hoped for. Unfrotunately, a sheep farmers income barely bought her all the second hand books she needed, but at the the time Ainsley didn't know any better, and cherished every page.

Her name carried alot of weight when she first enterned Slytherin, though it wasn't long before her true roots made her the subject of redicule. Unafraid to throw a punch, she earned herself some space after awhile, but it couldn't last among pre-teens. In her second year she became obsessed with the idea of talking with animals, particularly pasrsletongue, and tried to creat a potion that would grant her the gift. This was a miserable failure that gave her and actuall forked tongue that lasted four days before it could be reversed. This was a lifetime for a 13 year old, and earned her the nickname "Copperhead". For a long time this tortured her. It felt as if there was never any accceptance to be found among her housemates, and the other houses were inherantly distrustful of all slytherin. Her Quidditch teamates left her to sink or swim off the field. Her family had no money, and she had no friends, so it was either leave or double down. When the grounds keeper offered her work study over the summer, she moved into a bording house in hogsmead, and hasn't stayed on the farm since.

During her third year, her exemplary grades, and popularity as a quidditch player began to finally garner some favorbale attention; none more noteworthy than her grandparents. Half-blood or not, they were eager to lay claim on a grandchild that had now proven herself more capable than her father. That summer they invited her to stay with them. While she was prickly towards their sudden interest, the benefits of joining the upper family circle were irresistable. She earned new respect among her fellow Slytherin, and they even started her on an allowance for school. Ainsley entered 4th year as a queen bee, and has stayed that way ever since. The name Copperhead even became a badge of honor to describe her vicious bite.

Though her ambition is ferocious, her stare cold, and exterior deadly sharp, the heart of a farmer's daughter is still there. Woe upon those who make a wrong turn should they dare to look for it.

Wand & Broom

"Rowan wood with a Phoenix feather core, 12 ½" and surprisingly swishy flexibility. Do not be ashamed of it's modest finish; it is sturdier and more flexible than most, and might I add that inside is a feather from one of the hotest burning birds that ever gave. Infact she was known for scalding her foolish handlers. My girl, this wand is you in, out, and all over."

Ness

sheepcat.jpg
Nessie is a scrappy young tom cat Ainsely found wailing in a pond when she was 11. Good thing two, as she is the only human the cat has ever got along with. Ness is a true farm cat, mostly ferral, and takes care of himself while keeping a reasonable proximity to Ainsley. He has watched every game of quidditch she played.

While she has built herself a solid savings account and recieves a pleasant allowance from her grandparents, an owl is nevr something she sprang for. Quidditch gear came first, and the owlery served her well enough for the very rare letter she ever feels like sending home.

Harry Houdini: Squirrel
Name: Nutso
Age: 8 months old
"Harry also has a pet Squirrel that mostly runs free without a cage."
Speaks through interpretive dance

Adam Chadwick: Barn Owl
Name: Cyra
Age: 6
Cyra is the name of Adam’s faithful Barn Owl. Although his mother and father already own an owl, theirs is older and used mostly for their work. After his first year, Adam’s parents decided to award his excellent grades with his choice of owl. After spending some time in consideration, he bought Cyra at the pet store in Diagon Alley.

Brodie Nico: Puppy
Name: Pancake
Age: 6 months
However his puppy was threatened once and he was removed from classes for a week following a group of boys being admitted to the medical ward.

Ainsley Abernethy: Cat
Name: Ness
Age: 8
Nessie is a scrappy young tom cat Ainsely found wailing in a pond when she was 11. Good thing two, as she is the only human the cat has ever got along with. Ness is a true farm cat, mostly ferral, and takes care of himself while keeping a reasonable proximity to Ainsley. He has watched every game of quidditch she played.

While she has built herself a solid savings account, and owl is nevr something she sprang for. Quidditch gear came first, and the owlery served her well enough for the very rare letter she ever feels like sending home.

Rick Roland: Giant Tortoise
Name: Juliet
Age: 180
she just randomly appears places either in top of trees, or behind bully's before biting them, her bottom half of her mouth is replaced with a metal version (magical) since she was injured which also helps with biting and actually causing damage. She is known by the whole hufflepuff house as she usually is left in the common rooms, but she somehow gets out and travels all over the castle but Rick (my character) doesn't know this even as there are plenty of rumors of her doing so. Rick does walk him around the castle grounds to make sure she does her business and stuff so not like she is just going to make a mess, plus when she does travel around the castle she looks for people that are being bad, to give them a taste of justice. This is because she is a mother and wants to protect others especially as she knows these students are mostly children, her children are at the family house and are old enough not to need her anymore.

Rumor is she is actually possessed by a ghost and bites those the ghost feel have done wrong, her name is Juliet.

Whitney Cottrel: Bat
Name: Ziggy
Age: 5
In Whitney’s second year, she was looking through her new books in Diagon Alley when she discovered a shady pet stall. At first she would have walked by, but she realized they were about to kill a sick baby fruit bat that wasn’t selling. Stopping them quickly, she immediately purchased the poor creature, at the cost of one of that year’s books. Naming him Ziggy, Whit nurtured him back to health, and he has remained loyal to her ever since.

At night, he will usually fly away from her to eat and explore, but he always returns in the morning. Though she has a cage for him, Ziggy prefers to sleep inside Whit’s robes, a fact that initially annoyed her but has now come to accept. He is known to be very stubborn; in addition, he will sometimes do odd things without rhyme or reason, and any attempt to stop him will be met with astute persistence until he has accomplished his goal. One famous example of this was when a hotheaded Gryffindor sent a tirade of insults to her face. Though Whit was content to remain silent through the ordeal, Ziggy would have none of it, acutely aware of the girl’s rising emotions. Much to her confusion, the bat defiantly crawled his way out of her robe and latched himself onto the side of her head, only to extend a wing and slap the offending tyke in the face.

Despite his nocturnal nature, Ziggy will often wake up several hours before sunset to spend time with Whit as she walks about the school.

Danae LaBelle: Cat
Name: Kovu
Age: 6
Danae's pet is a Scottish Fold cat of now 6 years old. She's had the cat since her first year at Hogwarts. The cat, Kovu, is nearly as fun as she is, even though he is no longer a kitten. He often plays with others in the house, even those not. He's well loved by many, even Fitch, who has been distracted by his cuteness before. His favorite spot to sleep is on Juilet's shell. They sometimes disappear together and Danae swears they are off causing problems somewhere in the castle. One day they'll wake up to the turtle and cat pair having taken over Gryffindor Tower or the Slytherin dungeon. If not on the turtle's back or off doing his own thing, he'll perch on Danae's shoulder quiet comfortably. He is also a very talkative cat, often purring or making chirping noises to try to get his point across.

Layla: Kneazle
Age: 8
Layla's broomstick is a pretty typical Nimbus 1500. However, she also has a detachable basket with a strap on it that is used to allow her cat Cain to fly with her.

Layla has a half-cat half-Kneazle named Cain. He is a long furred, striped brown tabby with yellow eyes. She has had him since his birth, as it was one of two kittens born to Layla's father's Kneazle and her mother's Maine Coon cat. He is 8 years old, and Layla has had him since her 7th year. Cain often will ride with Layla on her broomstick, although it is noted that anything at least somewhat elaborate he needs special accommodations for. Due to his half-Kneazle heritage it is noted that he acts quite angry around those who are untrustworthy, and can sometimes have bad days where he doesn't want to be around people. He is quite more intelligent then an average cat however, and hates it when others look down on him.

Name: Rick Roland

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Height: 5ft 11in

Weight: 175 lbs

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Brown

Skin: Tan

House: Hufflepuff

Blood status: Half-blood

[/fancybox4]

Personality:

Rick is as friendly and loyal like every other Hufflepuff, he tries his best to be friendly to the other houses even when they spread bad rumors about his house. Rick cares little for winning just that his house stops getting picked on really. Like many others he is hard working and has started to work out to make sure his position as captain of Hufflepuff's Quidditch team is kept. Rick values hard work so even if someone is good if someone works very hard for said position, Rick makes sure the one that works the hardest gets it.

Playing fair is something that Rick believes everyone should do, an he does get mad at those that he sees as using dirty methods. Though he wouldn't start a fight he will call the person out on it if it gets very serious, or happens a lot. No matter who is on the receiving end, though if Slytherin or Gryffindor is involved he might get a bit heated up, but Rick will usually keep himself check unless things blow up. Even if they do though he won't hurt anyone as per his one golden rule, not to actually hurt anyone. An if they do he does heal whoever he can, though he does have some distrust to Gryffindors and Slytherins equally he won't allow it to control him or make him an ass to them just cause.

He does try his best his goal is to be a healer like his parents, since he finds that being a healer is very fulling and a good position for him. An this way he doesn't have to worry about hurting people. Which he is extremely against, sure he will defend himself but he won't use spells that can really damage or kill someone. As he finds that he wouldn't be better than those that are evil. So stunning spells and disarming spells are fine, an he is fine with causing problems for someone but just not hurting someone. So pranks alright sometimes alright but even that might be a no no in Rick's book if it goes past a point for him.

But with all that, his main quality is being protective of others, either friends or strangers if he finds someone getting hurt he will defend them, using defensive spells. He will get up to your face if need be, sure he won't hurt you but doesn't mean he won't fight you. Even if it means he getting in trouble he will no doubt stun your butt to oblivion. With face with a bad situation, Rick is more than willing to face it and even when getting picked on he will face you, though he isn't about to actually hurt you. Doesn't mean he won't stun or disarm you than give you a long lecture on how what you were doing was wrong. But of course he will try and show kindness though continue attempts at bullying him, and Rick will just stun you and leave you there.

Biography:

Born from a wizard father and a muggle mother, Rick was happy with living with his family in America, as his mother was a nurse there and his father who was a pure blood of a somewhat known house of healers. So to many other pure blood families that hold to the old tradition well, his father was considered a blood traitor, which didn't really bother them in America, but moving to England it became somewhat more noticeable. In America Rick played sports with many other kids and enjoyed it but after it was time he will go to school his family up and moved. His father wanted Rick to gets a education in Hogwarts, the school the father went to.

Rick got to England timid and meek, and put into Hufflepuff which did help him become friendly and kind. Yet sadly with the fact that Hufflepuffs were picked on a lot by the other houses, mainly Gryffindor and Slytherin. Rick became a subject of bullying for a long time, up to his third year of Hogwarts, which was when magic truly started taking on a whole new meaning. The family crest and animal for a long time was the giant tortoise, for its longevity and defensive prowess. Rick's family has a giant tortoise that has been alive for a long time, some say longer than should be possible. An when Rick was first going to Hogwarts the tortoise had laid eggs.

By the third year Rick had been not doing the greatest, even with his houses support Rick, the bullying and being away from his home had taken its course. But as the year began his family tortoise which had given birth two years ago showed up. At first Rick was confused knowing that he didn't bring the tortoise. When he asked his parents, their answer was also no they didn't bring the Tortoise. An as the year would end Rick became no longer that shy meek kid. But rather a determine and hardworking student, and it was all thanks to the tortoise. You might be wondering how did one tortoise change a student so much. Well the answer shouldn't be that difficult to think of, the tortoise fought off the bullies and help Rick study for classes, and even helped the young Rick to work out.

Now for those without a imagination, well Rick soon discovered that the Tortoise. Whose name is Juliet had somehow the ability to show up at the most random of places and the most awkward of times. Once while Rick was getting bullied by some Slytherin's the Tortoise showed up and took a bite on the rude Slytherin's butt. Rumor is the kid now couldn't sit down on the toilet without leaning on one side. But that is only a rumor how bad could the wound actually be... This will happen to get a few of the students who bully Rick to stop. Though eventually the bullies had enough and got one of the teachers to kick out the tortoise. For being a "dangerous animal" of course with this information, Rick was sadden. But deciding it was time he stood up for himself and finally talked with said teacher about what was happening. This shocked the teacher, that the once timid and meek child would finally speak out, made the teacher reconsider and allow the tortoise to stay.

An as the Tortoise watched over Rick as he study the kid eventually got his school live back in order. Many of the Hufflepuffs have fallen in love with old Juliet, as the tortoise would disappear for hours to reappear without even a sound. An there would be rumors about some bully getting bitten which of course would never be confirmed by anyone. As no one is willing to admit that a tortoise got the better of them. But Rick will be blissfully unaware of his tortoises going about, thinking them nothing but rumors as it is simply a tortoise. And even if it helped him, in his situation, no way would the old lady be able to do everything it was rumored to do. As the year went, Rick would become more active and by his fourth year he would join the Quid-ditch team. An by his six year he would became captain, having earned it though hard work and determination.

His fourth year was marked with him changing a new leaf, getting better grades, having many friends and even protecting them from bullying. While also working on the Quid-ditch team many people were shocked especially the teachers and his closest friends but they all enjoyed the new Rick. Having done a great job in his fourth, and Fifth year. Rick was ready for his Six year as the first time being captain of the Quid-ditch team; so the pressure was on for him to make this all work.

Magical abilites

Rick is mainly focus just like his father on learning everything on healing others, which has been going great after the fourth year. His magic seems stable and he is able to learn spells that involve healing or defense quickly and effectively. But transfiguration is not one of his better classes, and DADA he is in a awkward situation. Half of the time when he is practicing spells he does great at, the other half when it usually involves offenses spells not so great. Though he is able to stun and disarm he doesn't have a lot of other aggressive spells. But he can make great wards and shields giving him time to think and hopefully calm down the situation.

Skills:

Rick is skilled with the broom having started to work out in his 4 year, and after working his way up the ladder became the captain of the Quid-ditch team. He knows how to give commands, and when its time for him to go chase down the ball, as a chaser he knows how to go around beaters and how to throw the ball. He is alright in potions, knowing lots of healing potions and how to make them, though he is best at potions that help others. He isn't the best brawler as Rick won't throw back punches or anything, but he would try and lock the opponent so the fight can end.

Wand

Wand is made from Ash wood, with unicorn hair, 11 inches and is rigid.

Personality

Whitney is very soft-spoken, preferring to listen to others than speak. She is rather nervous and shy, and prefers to not draw attention to herself. This is often seen in class, where if she knows the answer to a question, she will refrain from speaking unless absolutely nobody else knows or if she wants to answer before another team does. Some wonder if her Muggle parents were abusive to her as a child to make her so shy, but such accusations are quite baseless.

Being naturally introverted, Whitney tends to stick with her closer friends, and is quite content on her own as well. Many view her as reclusive and unfriendly, but her companions know Whit for her unwavering loyalty, her gentle heart, and her continual support. Though some wonder why she wasn’t sorted into Hufflepuff, those that know her understand that despite her shyness, she contains a great deal of courage to push through her insecurities and step out of her comfort zone.

In the face of extreme stress (such as verbal abuse or bullying), she will contain her composure despite the buildup of emotion inside her. After the ordeal is over, she will usually be found in her room or somewhere secluded to deal with her pent-up emotions alone.

She often acts as the voice of reason amongst her friends, but that doesn’t stop her from participating in various mischief throughout the school, as long as she thinks it is harmless.

Magical Aptitude
images
As Whitney has studied magic throughout her school years, she quickly realized her preference for the methodical, non-spontaneous arts. As such, it came as no surprise to her when she achieved an O in Potions. She absolutely loves the art, finding it calming and soothing and feels great satisfaction with every successful brew. Though she enjoys her friends’ company, Whit is still very self-conscious, and can easily screw up if under too much pressure or if someone is watching her work too closely. Some think that Whit’s talent in potion making is a farce, and that she’s just really good at cheating and copying off Severus.

Whitney’s next best subjects would probably be History of Magic and Astronomy, due to their reliability. Though she does fairly well at Transfiguration, she often becomes nervous as she casts Charm spells, especially in front of a class. Whit is slightly better at Defense Against the Dark Arts, believing a basic understanding is necessary for every Witch and Wizard. She highly dislikes Herbology because of the unpredictable nature of dealing with plants that were often both sentient and lethal.

Last year, Whitney took a class in studying Ancient Runes. However, not wishing to become an archaeologist and finding no real practical use of the subject, she has subsequently dropped it to devote more time to her other studies.

Her performance at flying in her first year was absolutely dismal, ending up in an accident and injuring herself quite badly. This, and her general clumsiness with Charms, has gained her the nickname “Half-Whit”. She has avoided a broomstick ever since and only uses one where absolutely necessary.Though she will not participate in Quidditch matches, she will gladly tag along with her friends to the many games and tournaments held by the school.

Beginning her sixth year brings Whitney both joy and trepidation; while she is excited to begin the study of Alchemy, the knowledge that she is also of age to learn Apparition is daunting to her.

Background

Born into a Muggle household in suburban Liverpool, Whitney’s parents both worked at moderate jobs, and she attended school. Life was fairly normal. Some odd things happened here and there, but Whitney merely brushed them off as nothing and never told her parents about them. As such, it was quite a shock to them all when she received her letter inviting her to the prestigious school. After a long discussion, Whitney’s parents agreed to support her new magical endeavours.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that her previous schooling was publicly funded, her parents had little money to support her as she bought her first-year supplies at Diagon Alley. Whit quickly discovered the disadvantages of using second-hand supplies, and since then has worked hard in the summer months to make enough money to purchase new materials every year.

Overall, Whitney has been a respectable student throughout her education, though her occasional involvement in the various mischief around the school has kept her from becoming a prefect.

Wand / Pet

When Whitney first went to Ollivander’s to have her wand chosen, she tested several types ranging from Hornwood to Pine. She finally found her match in an elegant, slightly bendy Larch wand, 9 ¾ inches long and with a Unicorn hair core. Such wands are famous for providing their users with courage and strength, something that Whitney knew she would definitely need.

He is known to be very stubborn; in addition, he will sometimes do odd things without rhyme or reason, and any attempt to stop him will be met with astute persistence until he has accomplished his goal. Danae, or Dannie, is a naturally a kind hearted girl. She often feels guilty if she hurts anyone's feeling. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, often defending them to the point of joining them in their punishment if she feels they're being wrongly accused. She is an extrovert and loves talking with people. Some view her bubbly personality as cute and endearing while others just find her annoying. Though Danae doesn't let that bother her. She's loves to help people and during her fifth year was often seen leading study groups for OWLs in the library for any who wanted to join her. She knows good things don't just come to a person and is not afraid to work hard for all that she has.

Magical Aptitude and Wand
[/fancybox4]
Danae is a metamorphmagus and often changes her outside appearance. Her hair color, nail color, eye color, nearly everything. Though she favors her height and rarely changes that, while the others can change on a day to day basis. She's also skilled with the rest of her magical abilities. Though it doesn't come natural, like it might for a Ravenclaw. For Danae, it was hard work. Sometimes hours of studying, reading through texts, and just practicing. All the hard work paid off and she managed to make Os on all her OWLs. She didn't let up after the tests. No Danae had one goal. She wanted more than anything to be selected to work in the Department of Mysteries. The only class that was easy for Danae was transfiguration. It came naturally to her. Just as did her metamorphmagus ability.

Danae has a eleven and a half inch cypress wood wand with a phoenix feather center. As Ollivander matched her wand to her, he exclaimed about how he anticipated hearing about great things from the young girl. Cypress wands held a fate to them. Danae had no idea what Ollivander meant at eleven, but she particularly loved the look of her wand.

Background

paris-travel-guide-lede.jpg

Danielle-LaSota-post-separator.png
Danae was born in England to the LaBelle family, cousins to the Lastrange family. However, the family moved to France shortly after she was born as her father was the Ministry's ambassador to France. From a pureblood family and the daughter of an ambassador, she was quite spoiled by her father. Her mother on the other hand refused to let her daughter turn out to be a brat like many of the others of the pureblood families. She often took her young daughter to volunteer in various places like orphanages and hospitals. All her friends were looking forward to going to Beauxbatons, however Danae's father insisted that she'd follow family tradition and go to Hogwarts.

Sure enough, she received her letter to Hogwarts at eleven. Her mother was the one to take Danae to Diagon Alley for her supplies. The could have gotten most of the supplies in France, but Ollivander's made the best wands any where in Europe. It was her first trip to Britain and the mother daughter pair stayed with her mother's relations of the Lestranges. It was definitely a culture shock as the Lestranges had some strange beliefs that neither Danae nor her mother believed. She met her cousin and his strange fiance. She had a weird feeling whenever she was around them that send shivers down her spine.

Once to Hogwarts, Danae was sorted into the Hufflepuff house and having little to no experience with what the houses are, she had no preference. At first she missed her other friends, but she soon found companionship and connection with the others of her house and then really opened up. She started making friends across house lines, even within Slytherin and this was probably facilitated by the fact that she was a pureblood. All of her new friends thought her metamorphmagus abilities were amazing at first, but then as they became the normal she wasn't asked so much to change her features.

Over the next few years, she really succeeded in her tranfiguration studies. In her third year, she tried out for and became a chaser of the Quidditch team. The summer of her fourth year she stayed in Britain with her cousin's family. There with the help of her father pulling strings, she had a small internship with the Ministry of Magic. She was never to young to start thinking about her career was his argument. During this visit, she came to realize her calling and what she wanted to do after graduation. She wanted to work in the Department of Mysteries. So when she got back to Hogwarts for her fifth year Danae really threw herself into studying. While she was a good witch, she still had to spend large amounts of time studying. She often studied and practice more than most of the other students to ensure she got it right. In her fifth year, she managed to get all Os on her tests, but not after extensive studying.

LAYLASKYCH
[/fancybox2]
Messy-medium-short-hairstyles-for-women-with-bangs-for-brown-hair.jpg
Full Name: Layla Skych
Age: 25
Hometown: New York City

Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 125 lbs

Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown, although she often adds blonde highlight that leave some students to believe her hair color is dirty blonde.
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Blood Type: Halfblood

Occupation: Professor at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry
Rank: Flight Instructor

PERSONALITY

When most people think of Layla Skych, the first thing comes to their mind would probably be a picture of someone who would break their neck if it meant proving that they are not a coward. She is often referred to as the rebellious, immature professor, although it is noted that she does do a very good job at teaching students, regardless of how reckless she can sometimes be.

Layla is a person who teaches by hands-on experience. It isn't very often that she will give lectures, or anything else 'boring'. Instead, she prefers to give students direction and let them loose, so to speak. It's noted that her class is among one of the most dangerous, as flying always is, but also one of the least 'class-like'. She also has a tendency to give out rather unorthodox detentions.

Layla is also quite a quick thinker, able
to process and react to things in a minuet amount of time. This skill is quite useful, especially during a duel or if a student fslls off their broom.

While Layla may be prone to living the adventurous side of life, it is noted that in times of need she can be quite serious, although this is rarely seen, especially by students.

ABILITIES
il_570xN.351070620.jpg
Layla's area of expertise when comes to magic is no doubt in the art of dueling. Whether it be using more agressive charms, hexes, or spells specifically built for the purpose, she tends to lean towards this in almost every situation. It should be noted that while she is good at this, Layla is severely lacking in other departments, don't ever ask her to brew a complex potion or transform a frog into a giant lizard, chances are it won't work out so well.

She is also noted for being quite good at flying on the broomstick, especially when it comes to elaborate moves that require precise timing. She is good at the American game of Quodpot, and she is quite above average in the Quidditch role of Chaser. She is especially good at teaching others how to fly, which is what won her the spot of flight instructor at Hogwarts in the first place.

BACKGROUND

HogwartsCastle_WB_F4_HogwartsThroughTheTrees_Illust_100615_Land.jpg
Layla was born in New York City to the Muggle-born Hannah and the Pureblood Tanner Skych. While her father was well employed as one of the ambassadors of the USA for the Ministry, he was often looked down by his family for marrying a mudblood, even though she was quite intelligent. As such, when they had a child she would be naturally looked down on by other purebloods, although it never bothered her or her family.

The first few years of her life were good ones, especially since the family that despised Layla and her family lived overseas. However, it was about to change, as she was to go to Hogwarts soon after receiving her letter in June the year she was 10.

Layla and her parents travelled on plane across the Atlanic to Diagon Alley, along with her mother's cat Rina that Layla would take to Hogwarts. At Diagon Alley her parents saw to buy her high quality of everything she needed, along with touring her around, as it would be unlikely in her later years that they would accompany her to Europe. They had watched, in delight, as she has been matched with a wand, one of quite beauty and power indeed.

Layla was quite nervous when she had to run through the bricks to get to Platform 9 and 3/4, however after saying goodbye to her parents she managed to suck in her worries and run through it. A feel of exhilaration filled her after she managed to pass, that feeling of 'I can do anything', something that she would discover came with every achievement of hers.

After meeting up with some of her friends from New York that were wizards and witches, she got onto the Hogwarts Express. The entire time she wondered what the school would look like, how the people were, and what was to come. The train ride left like it took an eternity, yet was also the fastest time of her life. Strange, wasn't it.

As all the new 1st years shuffled into the Great Hall, she and her friends decided to try to snoop in on some older students' conversations. They got caught, but luckily weren't punished. After all, it was only the first day, right? Soon came the Sorting. Her friends all had a house that they wanted, yet on the train trip they had agreed to never let their differences change them. In the end, as Layla Skych stepped up to the Sorting Hat, she had no idea what house she would be placed in, so she simply waited for the hat to choose.

Gryffindor. The house of the lion, often known for it's trouble-making, up to no good wizards and witches. It fit Layla well, whether or not she knew it, and also happened to be the house her father had been placed in. She had been placed with her good friend Zane, who happened to fit the title of mischief perfectly.

Classes started a week later, and by then Layla had already gotten to know some of the people she would have classes with. Zane was in a couple of her classes, mainly Potions and Charms, and so were some of her other friends. However, the overwhelming majority were people she had no idea who they were, which to be honest freaked Layla out a bit.

Right from the start, it was quite apparent at what Layla was good at and what she wasn't. She scored high in some classes, yet in others she probably would of failed if it wasn't for a lot of 'help' from people. These professors learned to never turn their back on Layla, lest she accidently cause a cauldron to burst or turn them into a type of unpleasant animal.

By the time it was her 7th year, she was known throughout Hogwarts as 'the girl who liked to get into fights'. Never really serious of course, and always in a safe environment, but the teachers were starting to resent her. She was the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and quite accomplished in the Dueling Club. Layla had also managed to become decent at the subjects she was lacking in.

This was also the year she first brought Cain to Hogwarts. He had been born a few months before, but was still a little kitten. And boy, it took him a very long time to get over the moving staircases. Sometimes he would just sit outside the Gryffindor tower and stare at them for hours.

And then something happened. Zane went missing. By now they were best friends and were also in a relationship, so this truly struck Layla hard. She searched for the rest of the school year and a year after that. Yet there were no signs of him. This loss caused Layla to mature, and especially start look towards the future. It was then that she realized that she wanted to teach.

EQUIPMENT
maine-coon-cat7.jpg
Layla's wand is a foot long and it's wood is red oak. The core is phoenix feather, but it is not very flexible.

James Rickard

FULL NAME: James Rickard
AGE: 17
HEIGHT: 5'8"
Blood Status: Half-blood

HOME TOWN:
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

ENROLLMENT STATUS: Enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, Sixth year. Previously home schooled.

SCHOOL HOUSE: Hufflepuff

WAND:
Jarrah Hanbō/short staff, rainbow serpent tooth, 38 inches, rigid. Unknown wandmaker.

STRENGTHS: Wandless/Wordless magic, staff magic and staff dueling etiquette. Strong grasp of combat-related magic and survival based skills.

WEAKNESSES: Poor writing skills, weak grasp of potions, almost non-existant grasp of finesse. Something of a magical battering ram.

PATRONUS:
Conjurable; Unformed.

APPARITION LICENCE: Yes (valid internationally under probationary allowances, albeit with strict regulations.)

Somewhat average in height compared to his peers, James is characterized by his prominant cheekbones, strong jawline and angular features. His light brown hair is only recently cut, , thought it is short and messy and rarely brushed or cleaned. While he is forced to wear the Hogwarts uniform, the fabrics themselves seem to be nonstandard or at least grossly outtdated - instead of lightweight shirts and robes, he wears heavier, roughspun clothing with large and obvious seamwork that hangs off his small frame loosely. His dark pants are heavy and covered with many pockets, and they seem to be filled with countless knick-knacks, giving him an awkward, ungainly stride. Several lengths of cloth are tied around his arms and legs to bind the fabrics closer to his body to maintain practicality. He outright refuses to wear the formal Hogwarts dressrobes, and will work to undo any attempts to neaten his appearance in any way. Several narrow scars from clawmarks run along the side of his face and into his hairline.

Personality And Traits

Extremely confident in his own abilities, James constantly chafes under the tutelage and guidance provided at Hogwarts, believing that his abilities far outstrip his peers. Trained by an Auror from a young age, he is gruff and often confrontational, even to the professors at Hogwarts, and is often found in detention as a result. He eschews tradition and ceremony, and generally looks down on Hogwarts as an institution, as well as his classmates. For this reason, he is relatively solitary, as his demeanor often causes him to clash with the students of Hufflepuff. James also feels slighted at being put into Hufflepuff - as the son of a muggle-born Auror, he feels that Hufflepuff is a house for 'the leftovers' - people who are not strong enough of character to make it into the three other houses of Hogwarts. Beneath this, however, there is a layer of insecurity and doubt. Frustrated by feeling like the Ministry believe him incapable of handling the work of his father, he feels cast aside, and constantly wonders whether he meets the expectations his father set for him. In truth, much of the way he acts out at Hogwarts in fact stems from this insecurity and burning ambition to become more powerful.

Biography

The only child to the Auror Nicholas Rickard, James was born in New South Wales in Australia, far from magical academies and the influence of the Ministry of Magic. While his father's work kept James from attending any of the major prestigious schools in the northern hemisphere, his talents developed early and quickly, highlighting the underlying power inherited from his father. As such, James has traveled with - and been learning from - his father from a very young age. Though his father's tutelage neglected his training in magical basics, his time as an Auror resulted in James' tutelage being difficult, dangerous, and often incredibly painful - something that the Ministry of Magic noted with increasing concern as James underwent his yearly Ordinary Wizarding Level Examinations.

After James had a near-fatal incident with a Mokoi, the Ministry demanded Nicholas enter James in a structured education environment free from the risks of an Aurors work, as they felt that James was not suitably prepared for the increasingly dangerous work his father was having him participate in. Nicholas' own resentment at having effectively been forced to send his child to Hogwarts was a sentiment clearly echoed by James, who would prove to be a difficult student, indeed.

Alden Thomas

FULL NAME: Alden Alatar Thomas
AGE: 17
HEIGHT: 5'8"
Blood Status: Pure-blood

HOME TOWN:
London, England

ENROLLMENT STATUS: Sixth year.

SCHOOL HOUSE: Slytherin

WAND:
Twelve and a half inches in length and consists of surprisingly swishy Sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core.

STRENGTHS: Quidditch, (wordless) Charms and transfiguration.

WEAKNESSES: Anti-social, no interest in magical understanding or muggles. Unremarkable.

PATRONUS:
Conjurable; Unformed.

APPARITION LICENCE: He's eager for the course on apparition to start at Hogwarts this year.

"Last year, Alden unbroomed three Hufflepuffs in a single game. Not good enough to become a pro, though, despite his dad attempting to bribe the Chudley Cannons into signing him."

Like most magical beings Alden is best described by his wand, which is twelve and a half inches in length and consists of surprisingly swishy Sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core.

The Sycamore tells us that Alden is adventurous in his magic and eager to learn new and more outrageous spells. The wand, if his magic were to become too mundane, would burst from boredom never to be used again. Such is the nature of Alden as well as he rarely takes the time to sit down to read or write something Muggle Studies or a-History of Magic, yet can be found for ours doing charms or transfiguration homework. Charms is a subject he naturally excells in, as it provides enough room for his own creative input and the curious thrill of inventing a charm that can be used in duelling.

Signified by the dragon heartstring core, Alden is a quick learner, capable of amazing magic, yet temperamental and somewhat easier to seduce to the Dark Arts. The latter being instigated by his own curiosity that in an attempt not to be stalled by regulations and the time necessary for higher levels of magic, sometimes becomes a bit dark in nature.

Proficient he might be in Charms, earning a quite admirable O, he was hardly unique or in fact noticable by this achievement. While he's ambitious, he's not a great student, nor a real purist that looks down on half-bloods and muggle born, neither of which quite justifies him being known outside of his own House, yet being part of the Quidditch team and having a father who serves as England's representative on the Internation Council of Warlocks, certainly does.

Quite the skilled beater in the Slytherin team that with Ainsley Abernathy as Keeper rarely loses a game, Alden usually gets some cheers and preferental treatment from the other Slytherins after their first few wins. His seeming indifference to the praise, however, causes for this kind of treatment to decline over the course of the year.

This year he seems more distracted than usual, suggesting that he, perhaps, is up to something as he often wanders the hallways trying to dodge prefects of all houses, Slytherin included. Despite Potions never having succeeded in claiming his interest, and only having followed classes due the recommendation from the teacher if he wanted to become an auror to move more quickly into his father's footsteps, this year he's suddenly seen reading from its course material in his free time periods. Coincidently, rumors say that the potions teacher's supply cabinet got broken into at the start of year, but no culprit has been found.

Full Name: Peter Walters
Age: 17
Hometown: iwo jima, japan

Height: 5 foot 9 inches
Weight: 145 lbs

Eye Color: green/blue
Hair Color: Brown
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Blood Type: HalfVeela

Occupation: student
Rank: 6th year student in Slytherin

PERSONALITY
Peters known for his silence and introversion towards others. He tries to avoid trouble at all cost, and tends to run when confronted by an opposing force. Regardless of peters shy personality he often is careful when making decisions but is often selfless and willing to give others what he can, even if he himself needed it most. Peter keeps to himself and usually only plays with just his companion Samsyn. His personality is constantly evolving as he is forced to open up and face new situations.

ABILITIES
Peter has learned and mastered the ability of transfiguration due to him always hiding and running from his father. He though is rich in learning and experience as he is extremely knowledgeable in magic and its properties. Peter is some what trained (by his father) and decently skilled in herbology, and as well as other arts. Peter bares the ability to not rely on a wand but can also use his fingers, all of which was taught as he grew up and home schooled by his father. Peter has great potential but only needs the right push to open up and unlock said abilities.

BACKGROUND
Peter was born in iwo jima, Japan to a wizard father and a Veela mother. He had been abandoned by his mother when he was a baby. He doesn't remember much of his child hood due to his father starting him young in being homeschooled in magic as well as muggle studies.

Peter grew up in a extremely wealthy family and had all he wanted gifted to him. He was raised to become a prodigal son to his fathers heir as the Mahoutokoro school of magic, headmaster but undoubtedly failed to fulfill the role. Under rigorous schooling and training peter became drastically worn out seeing as he was in training/school nearly 12 hours a day with only an hour for lunch and an hour for supper with little sleep overnight.

Peter was accepted into Mahoutokoro at the age of 7 where he attended on a regular basis. Until he reached the age of 11 when he could be properly be boarded, but to his fathers displeasure he took an opportunity to become an exchange student to a sistering school, Of which he was selected to attend Hogwarts.

To his fathers dislike peter was sent to live in a foster home in Scotland. Regardless of his fathers dismay the boy was not sent empty handed as his father sent him with enough goods to care for himself (unless he desided to return home.)

As he was put out into a world where he doesnt know anyone nor anything of the outside world, he now sets out to find his place amongst the fellow students in Hogwarts and try to redeem his "honor" with his father.

Peters Wand is made from Elderberry wood that used to be owned by his great-grandfather and was handed down to peter upon his death which lies 18 inches in length. The core is made from a dragons heartstring, of which is peters choice. Peters father sent him with enough gold in his account to provide him till he was nearly dead if needed be.

(Working progress, will change if needed just PM me)

@Talon maara hey just to put in my two cents but having legendary skills in his first year of hogwarts seems a bit of a stretch but that's just my opinion

I've got to say, not even my professor can do some of the stuff he can do. It's very uncommon to even learn a lot of stuff before attending school anyways.
