Well I guess I am back, and hopefully this time I am back for good. So, regarding the Chiss faction I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in bringing it back to life? I know that the Chiss Ascendancy was never that active last time, but there are a lot of potentials for the faction if it was brought back. I mean the Chiss are barely a former shadow of what they used to be, but they still have some powers over the unknown regions and that might be a good place to start from and rebuild the faction.

So who is interested in rebuilding the faction with me?

I would be interested.

Groovy!! I was thinking about having the Chiss build underground cities using their technology ( or what remains of it) to build underground cities to hide as much as they can from the Imperial siege. I was also thinking about having them build bases and defenses between ice mountains to hide. I really do have some ideas for this and I would be glad to hear ideas from everyone as I clearly can't build it alone. However; I will still be needing more people interested in this before we take any step forward.

Keep in mind that you're bound by indie faction rules, so any attempt you make to resurrect the Chiss will need to be appropriately scaled.

This is completely understood, I am not really looking into having the Chiss Ascendancy as it used to be with all the fleets and power it had. I mean that would be useless anyway since it would make you and easier target for the Sith.

Why would they do this? They aren't currently at war with the Sith and the Sith did not destroy any of their worlds. And the Chiss already live under ground in most of their main worlds with barely inhabitable/inhabitable surfaces.

Also I don't think you would have control of any cities, seeing as you're bound by indie faction rules you'd only be allowed 500 NPCs at max. So you could build a splinter group that builds a hidey-hole in the mountains, but you can't control the entire former Chiss Ascendancy as doing so.

Well, I know they aren't in war but the Chiss would mostly be paranoid enough to take necessary procedures just in case an invasion happens, and that is a thing they would mostly do especially after the Mandalorian genocide.

Also building a splinter group is not a bad idea, but this is if what the current Chiss ascendancy holds is more than what the Independent faction rules state for starting indie factions. Anyways, having a Chiss faction this timeline might be interesting.

This is true. The Chiss Ascendancy bound by indie faction rules is a little underwhelming.

It's not about power, it's about telling a good story. So remember if you want to build this Chiss faction that you have a fledgling of a story in mind to start with, otherwise it's just another indie trying to compete in an arena where it can never really win (See Mandolorian Genocide)
