City: Unnamed city, far to the south of where Red Bush Grove once stood


Senetel scanned the perimeter for signs of life. Nothing. The buildings here were falling apart and plants surrounded them. Stepping into an abandoned store, Senetel gathered his surroundings. The room he was in was far too dark to see. Senetel reached for his lantern. Upon lighting it, the room lit up, revealing several corpses that the darkness had been concealing. "That's unsettling" Senetel muttered to himself. He had come here to Endor in response to numerous reports of a Rathtar. Although he had never seen one with his own eyes before, he had heard the stories of the Trillia Massacre, and was hoping he would never be close enough to one to see it. A fearsome roar let out behind Senetel. His blood turned cold and his skin pale. Jumping behind the payment table, Senetel ducked down and hid. Reaching for his communicator, he sent out a distress signal. He should've never come here alone.

[Kai Foxx]

The White Pheonix's engine hummed as the ship blazed through the stratosphere of Endor. Only seconds earlier, Kai's astromech, KF-1 had picked up a distress signal from a small abondoned city on the forest moon, and had redirected their course, in hope they duo could lend a hand. Before long, the White Phoenix touched down, its engines whirring to a halt, and Kai jumped out, his hovering astromech tagging close behind him.

"I can't see why you might get a distress signal from here, this place looks long abandoned..." Kai said, his eyes glancing over the crumbling buildings, looking for anyone who may have made the distress call.
The astromech blipped in agreement, before starting a scan for any signs of life, and he immediately got something. Something big. Very big.

"This can not be good..."

The unmistakable roar of a Rathtar cascaded out from one of the buildings.

"We better get outta here, bud." Kai mumbled, slapping his astromech on the back, turning back towards their ship. But KF-1's sensors picked up another lifeform. A human. And he was in the same crumbling building as the Rathtar.

"Oh you have just got to be kidding me..." Kai whipped his lightsaber out of his belt, the purple blade shooting up out of the sabre's handle.

Senetel waited in terror under the desk. To his horror, he heard slithering sounds headed towards him. Senetel griped his blaster, clenching it tighter and tighter the closer the slithering got. The ghastly sounds finally came to a stop. Right behind Senetel. Senetel shot up and fired at the rathtar. The creature let out a heart- stopping scream, opening it's mouth the reveal it's innumerable teeth. Senetel shot again, this time into the creature's mouth. The rathtar let out yet another paralyzing scream then slapped Senetel's pistol out of his hands. The creature had Senetel cornered. Senetel jumped over the rathtar, landing right behind it and running for his life. Shooting out the door into the forest, the auful laugh that Senetel had heard of in stories echoed through the forest. The rathtar was following him. Looking onward, Senetel saw a ship. Although, this was not his ship. Taking in his surroundings, Senetel concluded that that ship was his only chance of survival. Running to the only entrance he could find, Senetel pounded on the door of the White Phoenix, but to no avail.

Kai watched from one hundred metres away in terror as the young man, presumably a Jedi initiate, pounded heavily on the door of the White Phoenix, but Kai knew there would be no answer. The cacophony of slime, teeth and tentacles that was the Rathtar was getting ever so close to the young man, and Kai's overtly heroic nature got the better of him, flinging his lightsaber into the beasts side, followed by a terribly loud screech.

"Over here, ya piece of worm-ridden filth!" Kai yelled, diverting the Rathtar's attention towards him and his droid, as he recollected his sabre using the force.

"Oh crap this was a bad idea." He mumbled under his breath, before chaotically sprinting back through the forest towards the town, faster than he had ever run before, his little hovering white astromech following close behind him. Kai used his lightsaber like a machete to slice through the forest in front of them, and the crumbling buildings soon came into view.

"Let's split up, it can't catch us both... I hope." The young republican agent said to KF-1, as the two went their separate ways, both storming to different parts of the abandoned city.

Senetel watched as the rathtar rolled off, chasing after whoever had just saved him. "That was convenient." Senetel muttered to himself. Then, he headed off after the rathtar. With no real plan in mind, Senetel hoped that, with a little luck, he and this stranger could kill this nightmarish creature.

Con was not overly delighted with the hike he was tasked with, he could wander through corosaunt for an entire day, but the "civilized" city was nothing like the rough terrain of the forest moon Endor. After an hour or so of walking Con heard a shriek not too far off. His interest and want to help whoever or whatever was endanger, caused him to run over to his right where he gazed down an an abandon town. he saw two boys that looked his own age, maby a little older, and they were definitely not capable of such a high pitched shriek, so what was? Then the sound pierced its way through the forest once again. Con took a step back and covered his ears. opening his shut eyes he gazed at a terrifying yet fascinating creature. One of the boys was trying to get into a star-ship and the other, seemed to want the creatures attention. The second boy and his astromech split off and began running. Con decided he would not let these boys torment the poor beast any longer, for such a shriek must only come from pain. As he was sliding down the hill side with every bit of caution so that he would not rip any of his clothes, he spotted the first boy go chasing after the creature again.

"Hey you! Stop tormenting that creature" Con reached the bottom and began running to the rescue of his unmet friend.

As he reached the bottom Con yelled again, "Stop that, you are going to hurt him! and if not you will leave him ever so confused."

As this message left his lips he watched as the beast turned toward him and began rolling. Con soon found his waist entangled around his waste, and he was being pulled into the mouth of his new "friend". Con did not like it one bit and with his sudden realization Con fulled out his saber and sliced the tentacle off. "Never mind, I think we should kill this thing." As he hit the floor Con leaped up using the force to push him, and landed right behind the boy he had first saw.

"We can have proper introductions later, but for now please come with me so we can discuss what is going on here..." When con finished speaking he looked over to see that the beast had rolled off to go eat the droid that was running for its life.

"Hey you! Stop tormenting that creature!"
"Oh Geez, not another random stranger I have to save." Kai muttered to himself, totally out of breath but still sprinting for his life, while throwing a grenade over his shoulder at the Rathtar once more, who was still right on his tail.
"Stop that, you are going to hurt him!" Clearly the kid, whoever he was, had never seen a Rathtar before.
"That's the general idea, mate." Suddenly, the Rathtar stopped chasing Kai, and turned to the boy, racing over to what looked like a fifteen year-old and grabbing him with his tentacles. What looked like guaranteed death for the boy soon turned into one lost arm for the tentacle-covered mound of mucus, and in an impressive sequence of events, the young boy, who Kai presumed must have been a Jedi initiate, fended off the creature with very little help, except a few laser shots from KF-1.

Kai raced over to the boy to get a closer look.

"Hey kid, I'm--"
"We can have proper introductions later, but for now please come with me so we can discuss what is going on here..." The boy said, glancing over the Rathtar, who was now one tentacle away from having astromech for dinner; probably not entirely healthy for the Rathtar or KF-1.
"Oh crap. I'm gonna have to kill this thing, aren't I..." Kai mumbled, running back towards the creature, before glancing back at the Jedi padawan.

"Well, come on! Are you coming or what, kid?" Kai shouted, reigniting his purple lightsaber.

Senetel was running as fast at he could after the terrible creature when he saw another boy to his left. Stopping, Senetel noticed the stranger who had saved his life was no longer in danger. Instead, the rathtar was headed towards this new boy. The creature wrapped one of its horrible tentacles around him. Senetel ran to help, but quickly realized that this boy could more than handle the rathtar. A peircing shreik let out and echoed through the trees. A few moments later the rathtar was running the other direction, towards a droid. Hoping to help, Senetel ran towards the boy. Before the boy noticed him, however, the stranger showed up and the two took off. "This is not how I wanted this day to go". Muttered Senetel. With that, Senetel chased after the two boys.

Con was not all too happy to go charging after the beast, but he soon found himself trailing behind his two new comrades. The rathtar went rolling after a droid that Con assumed belonged to boy holding the purple lightsaber. The party caught up with the rathtar after it had been stopped in its tracks, when Con got a closer look he realized that the droid had gone through a doorway too small for the beast.

"HA! your stuck now you big maggot!" the boy closer to con's age shot his pistol and hit the rathtar in its side, the rathtar turned and engaged the three, they stood at the ready. two with sabers and one with a pistol.

"you know... that ship over there looks like it has guns, want to use them?" while Con was not volunteering to shoot the ships guns he knew one of them would know how.

Senetel nodded in agreement with Con's plan. "I'll do it." He yelled at the others. Kai unlocked the ship and Senetel made a frantic dash for it. Arriving at the door, Senetel clicked a button and it opened with a hiss. He ran up the steps into a small hall leading to the pilot's seat. He sat down and looked at the controls. There were buttons. Lots of buttons. More buttons than Senetel had ever seen on a single control panel. "That's intimidating" he said. Perhaps he should've let Kai pilot. Senetel pressed a random button. The ship roared to life and started moving forward. Towards some trees. Lots of trees, actually. This was not a good idea. Senetel frantically pushed buttons in an attempt to stop the demise of himself and the ship. Two lasers shot out in front of him, exploding and igniting the trees. The ship continued moving. The trees came closer. And closer. And closer. There was no getting out of this. Senetel ran for the ship's exit and jumped out. Upon landing on the ground, a crack echoed. Senetel fell to the dirt screaming, his right leg boiling with pain. He had broken something. Ouch.
