Clan Orar
The Thunder of the Gods
Cuyir Kotep! K'oyacyi!
Be Brave! Stay Alive!
Be Brave! Stay Alive!
Overview:
Clan Orar is a mobile Mandalorian Clan. It also happens to be one of the larger and stronger clans after the recent destruction of the Mandalorian Homeworlds and Mandalorian Clans that were based there. Rest assured that under Clan Orar your safety and survival is our highest concern while we reign down the fire of the gods upon those who betray us, avenging our people and leaving no Mandalorian behind.
History:
From early on Clan Orar has shown itself to be intuitive and perceptive of dangerous situations both among their people and from various outside influences. Often times choosing to refrain from direct confrontations if only to aid others in their reconstruction and rebirth from the remnants of war. While Clan Orar has remained the unspoken heroes of more than a few, they have not forgotten their warrior ways and seek to correct a wrong that has for too long gone unchallenged.
From the early days of Clan Orar’s fights for justice with the destruction of former Clans during the great Clan Wars to the great sacrifice that was the last Alor’s attempts at securing a peace for their people, they have not gone quietly into the night, but instead have hardened themselves into a fighting force reminiscent of the great Mandalorians of the past.
It was this hardened resolve that likely saved them during one of the most insidious firebombing campaigns the Sith Imperium instilled on Clan Orar’s people. Once more securing themselves in the mindset of preservation, they abandoned their former strongholds on Phindar and made for the Outer Rim, taking with them as much of their former lives as they could.
Despite this, what they took would not be enough to sustain the Clan forever, and as supplies began to diminish and drain, it was Clan Orar who began feasting off the criminal and piracy groups of the Outer Rim. With it’s fleet Clan Orar became a raiding party that focused itself on the most dangerous and profiteering groups. In a way, Clan Orar was still fighting those silent unsung wars that turned for the betterment of the people around them.
While not the traditional Mandalorian Clan based and operating from a centralized location, Clan Orar maintains it’s adherence to the Resol’nare and the finer points of Mandalorian Culture.
Structure:
Clan Orar loosely follows the traditional Mandalorian aliit structure of one Aliit’alor, or Leader and a dedicated command structure beneath as displayed by the following:
- Aliit’alor - General/Clan Leader
- Akaan'alor - Colonel
- Alor'ad - Captain
- Ver'alor - Lieutenant
- Ruus'alor - Sergeant
- Alor'uus - Corporal
- Verd – Private
With Clan Alor being a Naval-based Clan, it is common to have more than one Alor’ad as well as the other lower ranks which are chosen by the Alor’ads dependent on their needs for their units. As such there is only one Aliit’alor acting as supreme commander of all Alor’ads with the Akaan’alor following as second in command. Not surprising each Alor’ad commands a naval vessel in Clan Orar.

Philosophy
Clan Orar is made up of people from many clans. We do not discriminate by family lines, race, gender, force capabilities or backgrounds. We use everyone's strengths to bolster each other's weaknesses. Everyone is family but no one is forced to change or modify their name.
Clan Orar values duty, and integrity over glory. Because they support themselves by farming small criminal groups, they unintentionally help many people, typically because it's the victims that draw attention to the outlaws. Because of this, they rarely encounter any reason for glory and they do not attempt to claim the 'glory' for 'helping' those in distress. They remain quiet about who they are, simply taking what they need and moving on. This allows us to exist as a myth to the other piratical groups.
To minimize casualties, Clan Orar typically stays on the move, traveling from location to location and utilizing a variety of stealth and blitz tactics to overwhelm enemies and evade capture.
