Korriban, eons of Sith occupation have corrupted the very core of the planet with the essence of the dark side. It was truly the home of the Sith, no matter what others said, and it was also Brelin's birthplace. He was born a true sith, not biologically, but spiritually. He was thrown through the fires of combat and cleansed by the purity of rage over and over again. It was here, on Korriban, that he learned his hardest lessons. It was here where he truly learned what it meant to be Sith and it was here that Brelin would impart this knowledge to the younger members of the Empire.

He stood straight, glancing over the room, recognizing how spartan it was, but in truth it didn't matter they wouldn't be here for long. The room only served one purpose and that was so the acolytes had a place to meet. Thus, the hardened Crusader waited for his students to arrive so that the class may begin.

The classrooms in the Korriban Academy were usually tight and uncomfortable. Vixur found distaste in meeting in such a setting, although the class was interesting. Having trained as an Acolyte, learning the culture and skills that make a Sith, the Anzati had never found one willing to teach a more social and behavioral lesson. This would lead him to be among the few who would sign up. While others would rather practice their strength and abilities, it was time for Vixur to make a change.

Having never met the Crusader who would be teaching the lesson, Vixur could only imagine that it was the only other in the room before him. Walking up to him, his respect given by a bow, Vixur greeted him.

"Hello, Crusader Brelin. I am Vixur Kolvaar." The Acolyte waited for a reply before taking a seat. He wished the class would not be completely lecture, although he did expect the same.

Aniad walked down the temple halls of Korriban. He himself hated this temple due to the fact that most Sith Warriors were trained here. And most of them were stupid and arrogant, never truly understanding the true meaning of the Dark Side. But if he wanted to learn from this Crusader he must make amends with it.

He knew some of what this Sith, Brelin, had done. He killed 2 of the Order of 12 Crosses' 'Gods' single handedly. Even if they truly weren't gods they had to retain enormous power to be though a god. He also knew that he preferred the same form Aniad had always enjoyed, Makashi. He always loved Makashi due to his oponents slowly dying under his attacks, painful and slow just how he liked it.

He smirked at the thought and rounded a corner and through a door into the classroom where he would be meeting the Crusader. He already saw an Acilyte was already there, surprisingly. He was usually the one that was there first. He walked through the doorway ad bowed to the Crusader. "It is an honor to meet you, Crusader Brelin." He decided he wouldn't get on his nerves as he knew by just stepping into the room he was powerful.

Elegance, her father had told her, was something all must learn, Allison.

It was something she agreed with, his belief that Sith are elegant, yet dangerous. The Dark Side of the Force is a lady you must dance with, elegant and mystic in every way, yet something that must be handled with care. Not fragile though.

His words rang in her mind as she traversed the familiar halls of Korriban. Crusader Brelin was a name she had heard once or possibly twice in passing. However, as she came near the hall where the class was to take place, she had no idea who he was. She opened the door and entered, noticing but not acknowledging that she was possibly the last student to arrive. She took her place amongst the others, not once looking at them. She bowed her head respectfully, not making eye contact with him as she was taught, "Crusader Brelin."

The Sith Crusader watched as his students slowly began to walk into the training room, he responded to each greeting with a simple nod. It was clear that Brelin was not a man for empty words, he was not one to waste his breath. Still, he was slightly amused that the acolytes knew of him, sadly they only knew half the story of how powerful he truly was, for his actions at Daedalus will forever be classified, at least for duration of his life time. Once they were all inside the room, Brelin began.

"I suspect you all know why you are here." he said coldly, his voice slightly muffled due to the turban covering his mouth. "If you do not know me, I am Brelin Niko, a Sith Crusader. Personally responsible for the deaths of the Elder, and Dolfi, as well as being responsible for the fact that Korriban Zombies haven't killed you yet." he paused for a moment, collecting his breath as he glanced over the acolytes. In total, they were nothing special, an Anzat who showed a suspicious calm for his species, a human male who could have passed as a smuggler anywhere else, and a young woman who seemed to be lost. They were a collection of people who were outcasts, different from the rest of the Sith, at least as far as Brelin could tell, but that was exactly what he wanted, outcasts. "Thus it can be assumed I am a great warrior, and I am, in fact, but that is not why I organized this class today."

The Sith Crusader began to pace as he spoke. "I organized this class to teach you how to become a true Sith, a Sith who will survive no matter what. I will teach you how to be like Palpatine, like Revan, like Bane. A Sith who will stand the testament of time." the warrior stopped once more, letting his words sink in the young acolytes' brain. "This is not a combat course, this is a philosophical course. Any questions before I begin?"

Vixur let the others fill in to the classroom without words of his own. He had never met any of these other Acolytes before, so his guess was as any's as to what their story was. Listening to the Crusader speak, Vixur detected a sign of arrogance, albeit not too harshly. He would let it pass, Brelin was clearly a strong warrior. His resume now stated and understood by him at least. His opening statement a curious one as they each decided to come here for a purpose of their own. Wanting to learn something different than the norm, something other than the Force and combat. Vixur had enough of that already, and figured that this class would benefit him more at this time.

"This is not a combat course, this is a philosophical course. Any questions before I begin?"

Vixur had none. Nor did he care if the others did, therefore he remained silent and awaited for the class to begin.

Aniad could tell the cocky demeanor from the Crusader. Though he had probably earned the right to. He looked the Crusader and back at his fellow Acolytes. He had no questions at this point and this dim wit would probably have nothing for Aniad to question.

Allison calmly listened to the crusader before them all state his accomplishments. She asked, mentally, why he would do such a thing if he seemed to be more focused on things other than fighting and killing. She suspected that what she mistook for arrogance was not meant as such. When he inquired whether any of the acolytes had a question she let her eyes flick to each of the others for the first time. She herself had none.

It was then that she replayed his words "Palpatine, like Revan, like Bane. A Sith who will stand the testament of time." Her mind automatically identified each of the Lords. Her lessons had focused on history as well as combat. She enjoyed hearing of the old empires and the victories of the Sith's. She much preferred classes much like this one to those which employed rougher techniques. Manipulation was a more graceful tactic. She'd rather be remembered as a tactical mind than a brute.

Allison took a deep breath to focus herself and, as she felt the Force inside of her stir, she felt the smallest smile tug at her lips. She opened her eyes prepared.

Brelin smirked under his turban, no questions, hopefully that mean they were smarter than they looked. However, they were mistaken when they believed Brelin to be arrogant, not so, what he spoke was true and he simply knew it, he did not extrapolate, his simply stated facts. It was a fact that he killed Dolfin and the Elder, it was a fact he was an excellent warrior, and it was a fact that he had stopped the Korriban Zombies from overrunning the rest of the planet. Still, in the end it did not matter, for he did not plan on seeing the Acolytes ever again. In fact, he was so sure of it that he did not even bother learning their names, he didn't need them. Thus when he addressed them next he simply said "Follow me."

No emotion was put into those words, they were empty, distant, yet they held a sense of authority. That was the essence of being a Sith, not to be dispassionate, but to be able to demand respect through the simple act of speaking. No need for unnecessary violence, not if you're a true sith, this was what he wanted to teach them. The way he was going to do that had to do with where he was taking them, the dungeon. It was a dark and desolate place, a place that screamed hopelessness with its ill-maintained cells and dripping pipes. Eventually, Brelin stopped in front of one of the many cells and looked back at the acolytes. "Here is an alliance spy, caught trying to steal the blueprints to the temple here, on Korriban. Now, I have a simple question, what would you have done to him?" he asked simply.

Allison, with an expression of indifferent respect and listening, followed Crusader Brelin through the temple, down into the dungeon. She stared straight ahead, not peering into the cells like an ignorant child. The dungeon was dark enough in the corners that she did not particularly wish to find out what lurked in them. Instead she listened to the dripping of water...or other liquids and the tramping of feet on the stone as they walked.

When they stopped in front of a cell she turned to face into it. She heard Brelin's explanation of the prisoner and his crime. An alliance spy...
She stood silent for a moment. She knew what she would have done as soon as the question was asked. However, a side of her stayed her tongue. She wrestled it down and answered, "I would search his mind. As an Alliance member, he may have information about them, which could prove useful."

She refused to acknowledge the ball of nervousness that settled in her stomach as she evenly explained her tactic.

Yayyyy I did it!

Vixur stood and followed Brelin happily. He was glad they didnt have to stay in the cramped and heated classroom for the entire session. Even if they had to go to another cave that Korriban held as dangers to even some Sith, though he knew that wasnt going to happen. So to guess where they were off to was anybody's.

On their way to the dungeon, a place Vixur had yet seen, he was not surprised to see a soldier being kept against their will. Though he was surprised to see one here, at the Korriban Academy. Clearly he was here to practice certain skills of particular Sith paths, such as mind control, or Sith inquisitors.

"Here is an alliance spy, caught trying to steal the blueprints to the temple here, on Korriban. Now, I have a simple question, what would you have done to him?"

As Vixur was about to speak, another student caught him and got her out first. Though barely listening, he waited until she was finished.

"Well, after ironing out the details of his apparent scheme..." Vixur said clearly referring to the hard to believe story that an Alliance story came to a Sith homeworld to try and steal blueprints. "I would apply techniques such as Crucitron, not to torture, but to persuade him to speak and extract as much information as he could. How he got here. What his plans were with his intel. If he had any assistance, and if so were they sith heretics. Anything to incriminate him further. And if that did not work, then tapping into his mind extensively to take the information myself would do just fine."

Amiad followed the Crusader out if the cramped room. He looked at the GA Spy and thought of the best method to get the information out of him. "I'd find out all I could about him. Figure a way out how to break him. Possibly a family? Non important and easily killable. Then I'd continue on getting the information out. If he gave it to me before I'd make it a quick death. If not..." He smirked at everything he could do to him. "Let's just say death sounds a lot more pleasant."

He heard what the other man said about tapping into his mind. "Now where's the fun in that?"

Brelin looked at his students, they gave answers that were completely expected: torture, mind reading, and more torture. Those were not the answers the Sith Crusader was looking for, but they were expected so he was not completely disappointed. Before he corrected them however, he turned to the cells controls to make sure that the soundproof walls were functioning. Once he was sure everything was working, he turned back to the Acolytes "Torture, you say?" he asked rather simply, making no hint towards his displeasure, or annoyance.

"What good will torture do? What does torture achieve?" his annoyance was now becoming rather plain to see "This man is a trained Alliance spy, do you think torture would break him. He has been trained to resist it for years. No, it will do no good. The most you can expect from torture is a bunch of lies or a dead body." he stopped for a second, collecting his breath and letting his words sink in, before continuing. "Now, mind reading, that's better, much more likely to get the truth through it. The only catch is that some spies have been trained to put up mental blocks that can stop such advances, basically making mind reading useless." Brelin then turned to face the prisoner "So what do we do with him? He has no weaknesses, so what can we take advantage of?" he let the question sink in for a few moments before answering it himself.

"We use his will for survival, we manipulate him. There are several ways to manipulate him. We could have a Sith masquerade himself as an Alliance supporter and 'break' the spy out, giving him equipment that has been tagged with micro-tracking beacons. This way we can let the spy run back to his base of operation, here in imperial space. Or we could starve him, keep him in solitary confinement, for a few days, breaking his will. Once his will is broken, we can come to him as saviors, convince him that the Alliance betrayed him. We could make him our spy." Brelin stopped once more, turning to face his students.

"This is what I want to teach you. I want you to break your chains that hold your mind imprisoned. I want you to think outside of the short-term, instead the long term. Sure, you can get your pleasure by torturing the man right now, but wouldn't it be much more satisfying when you kill all his friends right in his face, making him realize that it is his fault?" Brelin's eyes shine with excitement at the thought "You have to think not only what makes you feel good, but also what advances the Empires goal."

She scowled as she listened to the other students answer. Torture, how barbaric.

She did not bother disguising the disgust on her face. She did, however, listen with interest as Brelin admonished the idea of torture. She was beginning to admire his style of work, or at least what he was teaching. She had no evidence as to his methods in other places.

She nodded slightly when he came to an alternate method. Disguise and false trust was something she could do. However his comment on mental blocks raised another question. Wouldn't it be possible to break the mental blocks? Or would that cause irreparable damage to his mind? I thought it was possible...

In her intense concentration even her thoughts trailed off.

She was brought back out of her mind by his next comments. She too felt a thrill of excitement at the thought of manipulating the spy, but the last sentence made her blood boil. "What advances the Empire's goal"? And what is their goal? Conquering millions and killing innocents? "not what makes you feel good" So we are here for the Empire to use and then throw away. We are to have no personal lives, no pleasure? Just training to be the perfect little soldier. That is the work of an Imperial trooper! We are above them! We are Sith!

Her emotions flitted quickly over her face in her outrage. As she dragged on her disbelief became anger and she was practically yelling in her thoughts.

Aniad just smirked at the Crusader's response. He pretty well much just said what he said, how could such a fool retain the right to call himself a Crusader? The galaxy may never know. He just waited for everyone else to make their responses while he withheld himself from saying anything stupid.

Vixur listened to Brelin put down his decision, though he was not thinking of torture more than Brelin was. Crucitorn was a form of manipulation, just as Brelin advised to turn the alliance spy. The Anzat began to doubt the Crusader teaching them, he began to realize that not all understood some very simple powers that the Force provides. However, he had an opened mind. Vixur would listen to Brelin, as he did have a point, albeit Vixur was not so sure how effective it would be over his own methods.

"Or we could starve him, keep him in solitary confinement, for a few days, breaking his will."

Vixur was confused. He though this as a form of torture, actually it was even more so than his own suggestion on how to handle the soldier. Though he continued to have an opened mind and figured that maybe he was just misunderstanding Brelin. Vixur continued to listen.

These Acolytes were young, they did not understand the scope of things as the Sith Crusader did. They did not understand that if the Sith were to prosper the would need the help of Empire and the only way the Empire could survive was through the help of the Sith. The two were one in the same, but that did not mean that the Sith had to lower themselves down to the level of a trooper, it only meant that there were other concerns outside of physical pleasure. Nor did they understand that blackmailing a man with the threat of killing his family to extract information was not the same as a manipulating the spy into becoming a double agent, willingly or not. Nor did they understand that torturing a man to get information was different from torturing him to break his will. However, Vixur was closest to being right, since Crucitorn would help break a man's will, the only problem was that the Anzat meant it in a way to extract information, while Brelin meant it in a way to break the spy's will. Still, Brelin did recognize that Vixur was closest to understanding his thinking, but he did not correct the others. Not because he didn't want to, simply because he didn't know. He was not all seeing, all he could feel was the anger of the girl, the annoyance of the boy and anzat.

Thus, he remained silent and simply motioned for the acolytes to follow him further. He would then lead them out of the dungeon and into the arid dessert of Korriban. They were right across a sealed off tomb, guarded by several imperial soldiers. Brelin turned back to his students "Alright, this should be rather simple. I want you guys inside that tomb without killing the guards, or harming them. There are some situations where we must control our bloodlust if we are to complete our objective correctly, at least for a short period of time, this will simulate that." he said, turning away to go lean on a wall as they completed their objective, but stopped mid-step "Also, don't say I sent you, they don't know me." With that he walked away.

Meanwhile, at the tomb, four guards stood at the entrance with no possible entry without confrontation. It was the students challenge to make sure not to harm these guards, but at the same time get inside, a worthy challenge indeed.

The Anzat saw that no one else was stepping up to perform, and so he decided that he would be the one. He wasnt quite sure what this lesson was designed to do. If anyone got in a Sith's way, their culture told them to do what they must to get passed. However, this was teaching them to be less aggressive. Vixur figured he would play along. Sizing up the four guards, he realized that his greatest strength, mind control, would not be a wise idea. It would be very difficult to use the Force on all of them at the same time. He would need to use a skill, unaltered by the Force itself.

"Excuse me gentlemen..." Vixur began as he walked up to the tomb entrance. "I am an Acolyte, here on business for one of the Lords of the order. I need access to the tomb so that I may carry out her wishes." Vixur said waiting for one of them to reply.

Allison, suddenly nervous, hung to the back of the small group. She had no ability at all in manipulation or mind control as of yet, though it was in moments like these that she wished she did. She truly wanted to learn an ability soon.

As one of the other students spoke, she looked at the guards blankly. She put a lid on her nervousness, as she did not want it to show on her face and possibly tip the guards off that something wasn't right.

Aniad walked to the left side of the gaurds. He leaned against the wall and looked a different way. "Distract them I'll slip in and run making a diversion we'll meet up and dispose of them. No harm doesn't mean we can't hold them in place and tie them up or something." He said this telepathically since the stupid one just decided to march up without any papers or such to confirm this. It was definitely a better plan that that. He looked and nodded at the one that marched up.
