Nar Shadda
A planet full of criminals and the lost, a world where you can easily get swept off your feet and carried in a current that leads to only one place, suffering. For that was the greatest secret of the world everyone suffered, the criminals suffered from the cruelty of their bosses the hutts, the lost suffered from the criminals, in a unending cycle. Yet today something different was about to happen, though the orange district was never as popular as the red lights district there was a gang that unusually cruel. The boss a Hutt the size of a small freighter, watched from floating chair shielded from the smoke and occasional shots laughing all the while as he watched his men torment and abuse those that lived here, but a small datapad was left in front of the home of a Jahn Nors. It said that he should meet a man looking to do some good for the people of Nar Shadda, and if that didn't interest him there was a large sum of credits in it for him if he took the job, on it was this symbol.

qt-z-bks.gif

The new symbol of the Dead Drop Pact, so new that no one will understand who it is for, but the man who left the datapad would soon see to it that everyone would become afraid of that one symbol. The datapad said too meet a large Zabrak in a cantina on that was very popular to the many people who were trapped on the planet, both the lost and the criminals. Though it did not explain the job, it would hopefully inspire the man to at least talk with Durak so which he could tell of the plan that would bring down the giant Hutt, though not for the reasons specified in the datapad. Hopefully if everything went well Durak will be one step closer to the beginning of his many step operation in conquering the underworld.

Durak would be sitting in the corner of the cantina, which was quiet, but full of smoke and smelled of man and woman unable to handle the drinks they were given. It reminded of Durak how much he felt glad to realize that the only thing that kept him from being like them was realizing he was no slave, that he would never be a slave as long as he did not allow others to control him. He would will the underworld into being his and he will crush anyone that stood in his way, but he of course needed allies and people that he could trust for now before he didn't need to worry.

He had a bottle of strong liquor in front of him, and two glasses one already half empty the other was still full for the guest of honor. Durak had brought with him, some standard body armor hidden by his white shirt and leather jacket, a pistol and his double bladed lightsaber hidden, in a pocketed just above his rear.

A deep sigh sounded out as a young man scooped up a datapad on the ground outside of his hovel. "Just my luck..." was the only thing that crossed his mind as he reluctantly activated the device. Last time someone left a note for him, those people kidnapped a friend of his and tried to off them both. Just "Another Day on Nar Shaddaa" I suppose...

Apparently he was supposed to meet some Zabrak in a cantina. From what it sounded like this guy wanted to help the people of Nar Shaddaa. That part almost made the lad crack a smile...almost. Nobody on the smuggler's moon was interested in helping anybody but themselves. And certainly not out of the kindness of their hearts. The datapad was also emblazoned with a strange emblem. A circle with a multitude of branching lines leading to a smaller circle centered in the first one. Undoubtedly it was the symbol of this person's cause. He scoffed but...he still went nonetheless. The part about credits helped in his decision...but it definitely wasn't the main reason. Maybe a part of him actually wanted to believe someone else on this sewer of a planet was interested in looking out for others? Whatever the case he soon found himself at the designated cantina. With one last shake of his head, the young man stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets and walked inside.

Not even a minute later and some drunken bar patron was emptying the contents of their stomach in front of him all over the floor. "Great." A frown crossed his face as he lightly shoved the drunk out of the way and stepped over the mess. He hated cantinas. And they just so happened to be where the scum of the planet congregated. It took some doing but eventually the lad found his supposed contact in the back of the cantina. He was the only large Zabrak in sight and he was seated, which spoke to his large stature. The man seemed to be nursing a glass of liquor as Jahn approached. "This yours?" was all he asked before placing the datapad upon the table. He didn't sit, not yet at least. He had to make sure this was the guy...

Durak had been enjoying his drink really, becoming a powerful man meant he needed to relax or he might break himself or someone else, either one was not a good thing especially since that Durak needed to keep at least some what a professional. With him building up a criminal empire an all that, though he wasn't usually a nice man or a gentlemen he knew how to control his impulses. Right now though he smiled glad to see the man could be motivated to do what he wanted, it was a small thing but soon the kid might just join him.

Durak would have personally kick the man that throw up in front of the kid, but at least he can control his anger better than Durak. Which was a good thing, at least he wouldn't just get angry and do something stupid, as the kid placed the Data-pad on the table. Smiling, Durak took a minute to compose himself hopefully thing went well.

"Yes, so guessing your interested in the job?" Durak asked an waited for the mans reply which would most likely be yes.

"Understand this job won't be pretty, and it will get dangerous if this doesn't sound like something you can do than we part ways right now." Durak wasn't going to play around and be as blunt as possible even if it meant scaring the man away.

A half-laugh escaped the lad's mouth after he listened to the man speak. "This job would be dangerous," he said...

"Walking down the street on this planet is dangerous." came the young man's reply as he slid into the booth opposite Durak. His eyes observed the imposing Zabrak. The kid wasn't exactly the best at reading people...but even from a glance one could tell this guy had seen some things. But then, who hadn't on the smuggler's moon? Nar Shaddaa was home to all sorts of characters...most of them completely amoral and untrustworthy. Hopefully this one would defy his expectations. "Let's say I was interested..." he spoke, leaning back in his seat and removing his hands from his jacket pockets. "...what's this 'job' of yours?" The fact he didn't include details in the message led the boy to believe this gig wasn't exactly legal. Not that he had a problem with that, of course. "Law" on the smuggler's moon was a joke. And most big players here were criminals anyway. As long as they weren't taking from the needy he had no gripes.

For now he'd wait for the man's response in silence. Only a fool would agree to a job with no details. The boy was many things...but a fool was not one of them.

Durak simply smiled the kid was quick to retort which though might been annoying to some, Durak felt that it was a good sign of how a man olds himself, whether that man felt confident, or either that man felt cornered. For now the pirate would make sure to remain emotionless, the cold embrace of the darkness within him was just a reminder of how he was so empty and corrupt inside, but that emotions makes thing complicated and are dangerous. It could lead someone to do something foolish like loss themselves to the dark side.

The pirate stared into the kids eyes, with a quick smirk before returning into a emotionless look, the pirate was sure he had gotten the kids interest, which meant that he was now free to test the kid and see if he would be good for the organization. For now though he prepared himself for the little job description, hopefully the kid would survive and maybe later down the road join in the growing empire.

"Simply really, we are going to kill a Hutt." Durak said without any emotion hoping to see how the kid would react before he continued, after the kids first response was over the pirate will speak again.

"Though that is just the end results we will be doing a few hits around the Hutt's district to draw the Hutt's man away from him, than kill him, if that seems like something you are interested in than please... " As Durak said this he would use the force to push the cup that was still full towards the kid a signal for him that he should drink, the only thing that would happen was he would taste the nice liquor that Durak had bought.

"Lets talk business." When finished Durak would take all that remained in his own cup and finish it in one gulp, before refilling it with his large right hand, and sipping some more hopefully the kid drink but if not Durak would not be surprised.

He could barely contain the look of disbelief that graced his face after hearing of Durak's plan. Kill a Hutt? Brilliant. Afterwards they could both go shopping for coffins together...

"I have enough problems surviving here without a death mark on my head..." was the boy's reply. He didn't pay particularly close attention to the goings-on in the criminal underworld, but even Jahn knew the consequences of crossing a Hutt. They issued death marks for things as trite as perceived slights against them...so he could only imagine what killing one would earn you. This guy either had a death wish or was completely convinced his plan would work. Maybe it was both. Still, the lad hadn't gotten up and left, so he wasn't writing off the job yet. Durak spoke some more, explaining how they were going to lure this Hutt's lackeys away from him so he'd be vulnerable. Apparently this involved "hits"....

Jahn furrowed his brow a bit at this suggestion. The Zabrak slid the glass of alcohol closer to him, seemingly without touching the glass. It almost garnered a double-take from the boy...but ultimately he just waived it off as a parlor trick. He'd seen people in cantinas who were attempting to charm others do similar tricks. With enough dexterity and sleight of hand, anything was possible. The dark-haired young vagrant gripped the glass, staring at the liquid momentarily before taking a good-sized swig. A burning sensation told him everything he needed to know. It was liquor alright. And it was the hard stuff. He'd never been much of a drinker at all (which was likely obvious by the light grimace that took hold on his face), but he wouldn't turn down a free drink. Especially from a prospective business partner. He set the glass down, turning his gaze once more to the large alien. "I'm no killer." was the only thing he said in response. The idea of credits was appealing...but he'd need a bit of convincing first. Hopefully Durak would oblige.

Durak smiled sure the man would need convincing but this kid clearly knew that killing a hutt can cause issues but if done right no one would know it was them to begin with. He had many ways of convincing the kid and he was about to show the man that it was in his best interests for numerous reasons, even if honor wouldn't be enough credits and the promise of more power should do it.

"You don't have to kill a single person, I can handle the Hutt, besides know says we need to get death marks, if no one knows it was us than we are fine. The Hutts wouldn't go looking for some guy that killed one of them if it cost them more to find us than we are worth. Besides my organization will make sure there is no traces. But if helping people isn't enough for you, this Hutt is very wealth enough so that you can buy your own corvette ship including a crew. I am willing to share with you the loot that surrounds this Hutt." Durak said but that wasn't enough he would add a little bit of force to show how serious this was and what lengths the pirate would go to get this done.

"Besides you know me now you know who I am, I can't risk this operation being blown, so just take the credits its good money and done right you will feel much better, both in your wallet and your heart." Durak made a joking place one hand on his left heart trying to play along with any since of good intentions the man may have.

He did not wish to fight rather just to get this job done so that he can deliver this to his new partner, the district will be a great present to those that he wish to reward and gave favor with. So he will be doing this either way no matter what.

Jahn gently swirled the liquid around in his glass as he stared into it, listening to Durak speak all the while. So he had thought this out a bit more than he first thought...it was still unimaginably dangerous...but it was nice to know this pirate wasn't just a dumb brute. Truth is? The lad wasn't even largely against killing. Personally he had just never done it before. The only reason he brought the fact up was because he was unsure of what he could offer the Zabrak in terms of usefulness...but if he genuinely wanted to help people AND pay him for his time?

Who the hell Jahn to turn down his offer?

His eyes drifted from his liquor back to the alien as he continued to speak, explaining exactly why he should accept the job offer. Now Jahn wasn't exactly socially adept and he was by no means a conversational expert...but even he could pick up on veiled threats. Though it wasn't quite fear, the boy was rather wary of the man (and rightly so). This was not a guy he wanted to tangle with in a fistfight. Aside from his imposing size, he knew because...well...those weren't shaving scars on his face.

"I'm in." he answered finally. In an uncharacteristic move for him, the boy lifted the glass to his lips and took a hearty swig of the alcohol, still nearly cringing as it washed down his throat. Afterwards he set his drink down, locking eyes with the Zabrak. That might've just been the last job he ever agreed to. Going up against a Hutt was an easy way to get yourself killed...but he knew of a lot of people in the slums that could use the credits more than he could. Of course he wasn't in this for the money. It was about helping his people out. It had always been about that. "Tell me more about this Hutt..." he insisted, eager to know more about their target. "Besides the fact that he smells bad." Jahn quipped internally. Truthfully it would be a lot easier to kill the overgrown slug (or be a passive bystander to his death) once he knew of the atrocities he'd committed. Hutts were known for being ruthless immoral crime lords...and since Durak wanted him dead so badly, it lead the boy to believe this one was no different...

Durak watched the kid think on the offer, honestly he was not surprise that the kid said he was in, especially since there was so much that the kid will gain if he did join, like credits and maybe if the kid really liked to help that too. Really though the place may get better but this is Nar Shadda it may just be better for a little while, especially since he will be giving this place to another Hutt for several reasons but of course the pirate will keep that away from the man.

When the kid asked about the Hutt, Durak had a dark smile just for a second before putting on a neutral mask on, if he can push the kid to a more darker path maybe even a part of his own crew. For now time to make one of the most cruelest hutt that was mostly true just added a little flavoring to make the kid more likely to take the kill shot himself.

"Well the Hutt has his fingers in the dirtiest spice, and slavery. Not to mention getting his gang to collect a large some of 'protection' money, of course there are more cruel things the gang does but the Hutt doesnt really care. He watches everything on top of shielded sled, he like watching the people in their poor state, really one of the lowest Hutt out there." Durak knew this was all true but he will explain more of the Hutt only if the kid asked so they can hurry up on the task.

"The job is to hit several areas where the Hutt gets his credits, than plant some bombs on the shield generator after the number of guards are lowered. Than of course we go after that slimy hutt, where we figure out who will kill him."
Durak said hoping to see the kid agreeing to the plan, the plan will stay the same until the task was done.

"Now you ready to get rich?"
Durak asked hoping to hear the kid was interested in the money so the pirate might later convince him to join the DDP.

A look of disgust remained on his face the entire time Durak talked about their target. A drug-dealer, slaver, and a crimelord all rolled up into one slimy package. The Zabrak even went as far as to call him, "one of the lowest Hutts out there."

And that's saying something...truly.

Jahn listened in silence as the pirate broke down the op. The plan seemed decently thought out...but if there was one thing the lad could count on in his life, it was things going wrong. And with his luck? It was almost a sure thing. But he wasn't going to dwell on it, at least not now. There'd be enough cursing of his own horrible fortune in due time. Durak asked if the boy was ready to get rich. It sure would've been nice...but if he ended up getting any money out of this, the youth had other plans for it. So he merely nodded and set his drink down upon the table.

"When you are." was all he spoke as he waited for the Zabrak to lead the way. Jahn still wasn't fully convinced of his intentions...but if he helped remove a slaving scumbag from a position of power around these parts....well then he didn't really care what Durak's motives were.

(OOC: Sorry for the long wait been busy)

Durak was happy to hear that the kid was ready to get rich, maybe there was hope yet for him, if things go well the two might meet again for later assignments, for now the pirate figured that he better just take the kid to where they will be starting their little operation. The pirate would get up after a few moments of thinking and looked straight at the man.

"Than follow me, I will take us to a spot where we can oversee everything."
Durak said before starting to head out, not waiting to see if the kid was actually going to follow him, the pirate didn't have time and wanted this job done as quickly as possible.

But for now the pirate would simply walk towards the district which holds the vile Hutt, and though they would see the progression of how the banatha dong hole get worse, like if that was actually possible, but the pirate did not care for those suffering in truth he felt that they should do something if they truly felt any pain. He just saw them as sheep that needed a Shepherd which was true on many occasions, they would enter a abandon building a old housing complex that has long since been forgotten by the majority of the people. Walking several stories up they would enter a room with enough space to be considered a suite if it wasn't for the fact that it had nothing in it. The place overlooked the majority of the district and you could see though the large windows the fat hutt laughing at some poor man, clearly the conversation was not going well for the guy. The Hutt was surrounded by a orange shield and had more guards than could be counted, and many people begging in front of the Hutt to give them a bit of the everything he has, so they could survive.

"This will be were we discuss the plan in greater detail and where you can learn more about our enemy."
Durak said knowing well that this part of the process was never something he could normally handle without some action, but the pirate wanted to at least seem level headed to the kid.
