Blinking through Space
The "EXP Avantgarde"
This is a non-Storyline horror Story.
Blink
Blink
Blink
A certain male woke up by that red light harassing his eyes trough his eyelids. With the realization in how much that blinking annoyed him, a chain of associations started to run through his synapses like a high speed train out of control.
Blink
He was being on his ship last he remembered, sleeping peacefully in his bunk when suddenly the bark of incoming missiles woke him up. This was the first oddity, as normally the alarm shows incoming ships first, missile alarms (mostly) with some delay. That a normal sensor does have a far wider reach then a sensor specialized in detecting high-speed things coming one's way is only logical. So either the ship was way out of reach when it began shooting or something was really, really off here.
Blink
The missile alarm proved to be a few dozen capsules and rockets, where the rockets rendered his communication and engines useless, the capsules attached themselves to his airlock, starting to cut trough it with concerning speed. By the time he reached it, a flood of strange three-legged Robots swarmed in and opened fire immediately. It was ultimately one-sided, but still a hell of a fight.
Blink
Now, he found himself on the cold floor of a dark room just barely illuminated by this damned consistent blinking, found himself mostly unclothed, lying on a cold floor and certainly not there on his own volition. The good thing was, he was not bound and free to move, although the stun shots that hit him left a tingling, numb feeling all over his body.
Blink
A more thorough look around was sobering. Flat, detail less grey walls, a bulkhead door and a communications console.. with an annoying red blinking light.
