Collapsible Vibro-Sword
One of many devices crafted by the hand of the inventor Ari Pinkerton, the Collapsible Vibro-Sword was designed with the intention of mimicking the ease of carry of the fabled Lightsabers. The weapon is divided into thee sections, the blade, the handle, and the power source. The blade is designed to be able to fold into itself, sliding back into the hilt to take up no more space than the hilt itself does. However, the blade is notably shorter than some models of Vibro-Swords, a clear cutback in length to allow for the strength of the blade to be upheld while still holding it's compact nature. Fashioned from cortosis, the blade is capable of standing against the plasma of Lightsabers as well as repeated blows from blaster bolts.
The hilt is a thick, condensed material molded for the hold of a humanoid grip, though the specific grip can be adjusted per the user. A hardy button controls the blade, one push shifts it either into its outward state or its retracted state. The pommel is the same shape as the hilt, though it is clearly a metal design rather than leather or whatever else the grip may be made with. The pommel serves as the power source, giving power to the Vibro-Sword in its rather simplistic function, able to keep power in the blade for roughly two days without charging or replacement.
Each purchased model of the Collapsible Vibro-Sword is delivered in a compacted and sturdy box meant to protect the merchandise, even though it is clearly of hardy and durable design. Encased in said box is is a small pamphlet on the directions of the use and upkeep of the weapon and its individual components. The pamphlet also urges buyers to return the blade if it becomes damaged beyond the ability to be fixed by the user, declaring it will be sent back repaired with minimal billing. It's concluded with the signature 'Ari Pinkerton.'
Legality
The Collapsible Vibro-Sword is legal in all locations, and is meant for mass sale and distribution.
Stats
The Collapsible Vibro-Sword is made of Cortosis, and is completely resistant to lightsaber strikes, and can be used in combat against someone wielding a lightsaber. Reinforcing this, the blade vibrates at an intensity that makes cutting material easier, and absorbing attacks from sources such as lightsabers easier. On a similar note, the weapon can handle blaster bolts without taking extensive damage, and is capable of being used to block them.
The durable nature of the Collapsible Vibro-Sword allows it to be a fiendish weapon on the battlefield, a short blade capable of dealing extensive damage while standing up to the thread of the ever elusive Lightsabers.
Intent
To create an easily storable weapon that can match lightsabers in battles, without being a hassle to hold, such as other Vibro-swords. While doing this, the reduction in length is meant to be a nerf, meaning that it is strong and weak in its own ways, and can be used with specific thoughts and tactics in mind, widening what users of Vibro-Swords can use the weapon for.
The collapsible nature also gives a unique IC notice, as their character would likely choose the weapon due to the ease to carry and use the weapon, which would allow players to worry less about how their characters lug around the gear they need to survive.
