Strengths and Weaknesses:
Being born on a planet with slightly higher (1.4 standard) gravity has given him greater strength and agility in what most consider being standard gravity. He is strong-willed and has a well-developed sense of right and wrong. While he isn’t above bending (to the point of it being modern art) the laws of the state he won’t break those he sees as resolute. His outright refusal to kill another sentient will always be seen as a weakness by some but he never saw it as such. His tendency to want to trust people and take them at face value always gets him into trouble.

Gear: Collapsible Electrostave, Shepherd’s Greatcoat, Comm-link, Credit Chip, two datapads, Mastercraft Medpac, Security Pack, Tool kit and Macrobinoculars.

Ships:
An old yet well serviced Loronar E-9 Explorer (Space Transport) named ‘Nightwatch

Pets:
Does an annoyingly duplicitious and sleezy protocol Droid count?

Personality:
Conall is a fair-minded, even tempered man with a stubborn streak a parsec wide. He lets his sense of fair play get him into SOOOO much trouble. Though he does come off as a typical space pilot looking for the quick credit he has the sensibilities of a Knight-Errant.

<span style="color:blue">History:

Conall was born on a minor planet in the Velos sector. The world was just in the region of being habitable with an elliptical orbit that make for cold winters and hot summers. The culture was primarily agrarian based around the herding of the Narb, a large herbivore (somewhere between Llama and bison) that had the survival instinct of a slightly demented gerbil. It was a hearty beast that provided milk, meat and clothing… if you could keep the predators away from it. The herds needed protectors around the clock, thus came the Shepherds. One of the primary predators was a force-active beast called a Tyrg (a cross between a wolf and a tiger). Using the Force to hunt with on top of being a lethal fighter made the Tyrg a dangerous opponent. Those Shepherds that had gift with the force could sense and fight the Tyrgs better so as the culture grew so too did the Shepherd Force-Tradition. Conall was a good Shepherd, one of the best in generations. He could sense a Tyrg prowling around over a mile away and was a powerful combatant with the electrostaves used by the shepherds.

Minor planets in minor sectors often proved targets for slavers and Conall’s world was no different. The Shepherds proved capable against human predators as well as animal ones but even a Shepherd wasn’t a match for blaster cannons. It was the arrival of a Jedi Knight that broke the Slaver’s hold on the area much to the delight of the people. Conall saw in the Knight a cause worth fighting for and followed the Knight back to Coruscant presenting himself for training as a Jedi.

Despite the seeming compatibility between Shepherd thinking and Jedi Training, Conall had problems almost immediately. Shepherds used the Force passively, to sense the Tyrg, to defend against their Force Strikes and to heal the injured but Jedi were taught to actively use the Force. Mind Tricks and the like didn’t set well with Conall and he spoke up just as he would back home. The Jedi trainers didn’t like that independence and Conall was told ‘This is how it has always been taught.’ Conall’s introduction to the Lightsabre was even more calamitous. To him it was a weapon of war, of death. True the Jedi used it for defense but he could not accept the use even for that. He felt his Electrostave was a better choice for while it was capable of killing it was not the ‘glowing stick of death and pain’ the Lightsabre was. His independent streak and stubbornness proved his undoing and Conall was deemed ‘unsuitable’ for continued training as a Jedi.

Being ‘kicked out’ bothered Conall but he also knew the only way he could remain a Jedi was to betray his personal and cultural ethics and that he could never do. So left to his own devices in the middle of the Republic Conall soon stumbled onto something else that excited him, Starships! He had the gifts to be a great pilot and soon found someone to teach him. In a short time he became a pilot and later the captain of his own ship. True the Nightwatch was something of a rattletrap and it took a lot (okay all) of the money Conall made just to keep it flying but he liked the old Explorer-Class vessel and after he traded out the lethal weapons for more suitable ion weaponry he took to space as an independent ‘Free Trader’.

Somewhere along the way he picked up JDG-77, a MUCH modified (a lot of it done by the droid itself) Protocol Droid. ‘Lucky’ as he called the Droid proved to be a lying, scheming, cheating scoundrel that made money on the side by running a floating crap game and selling Hutt Porn on the Holovid. Lucky also was a crack engineer and a darn good salesman. True the Droid was wanted in seven systems and would likely add to that but Conall liked the Droid and admired his drive to succeed (Lucky called it Conall’s ‘Sad Lost Puppy Syndrome’). The actual Truth of the matter was Conall proved to be the only human that ever liked Lucky despite his copious and much loved flaws and was the only human to ever treat him fairly. Lucky does have a small streak of loyalty and Conall takes it up. Everyone else is fair game.
