"Raider Reginald Marx Sir." Reggie spoke in a proper basic. If Cam didn't really know him, shed swear he had two different personalities. But if there was one thing Reggie learned from Owen Koga...how to be a social chameleon, able to blend in with almost any environment wherever they were, "I am a new recruit within The Rendili Raiders Sir, I get a decent pay, excellent benefits, good dental, and above all a Uniform I am proud to call my own...Sir. I would have to say Sir, I am Proud to be among their ranks." Reggie kept a straight face as he spoke his carefully chosen words, ensuring that he placed his best foot forward for the sake of Admiral Swift and the Raiders as a whole.

For once Camellia wished that Reggie had acted in his more usual manner than behaving for once. Considering how the discussions were going she felt that was more what the Bakuran Chairman appreciated it seemed. Still, she would congratulate the young man on his professionalism for a change once they returned to the Guardian. For the most part though the Rendili Admiral merely stayed silent letting things play out as the Chairman requested.

As Reginald answered the Chairman's question, Cidiv nodded. "So then, it is a matter of pride." With what was almost a shrug, he contemplated the raider's answer. A rather confusing thing, pride was. It could build one up, and it could also set them up to fall. To be prideful as well as righteous required a keen sense of balance. His eyes, polite yet critical, returned to the young woman sitting across from him.

"And yourself, Admiral. What do the Raiders mean to you?"

"They are the means to revival." Camellia said it quite candidly in fact. "Rendili, and in fact the galaxy in my opinion but no need to go so far, requires revitalization. Ever since the end of the Clone Wars our world has fallen to the wayside. No longer do we sell ships so proudly to the galactic government's navies. No longer are we recognized and remembered as one of the first great shipwright, a founding one at that, as well as a founder of the original Republic. We've merely been swept from one regime to another since Palpatine's Empire first took power. Kuat Drive Yards rose up as our greatest competitor. Now though times have changed and regimes have passed still. This Empire may well be more dangerous than ones of the past. So brutal they are in their conquests. And their new pet is MandalMotors, who eliminated KDY from the map. I intend to use the Raiders in the best possible way to revive a world's lost glory. That's why I fight Chairman."

Warren Cidiv's eyes slimmed as the Admiral spoke. Although he had appreciated the professionalism of the man standing near the door, there was a lot more to bite into with Swift's impassioned answer. She finished speaking, and the Chairman remained quiet a moment, his eyes scanning her face to catch any sort of slip-up in what he still assumed could be a facade. But she seemed quite genuine, almost innocent despite the air of authority she carried and the apparent willingness to fight for what she believed in.

"Pride tempered by glory..." In his experience it was not the safest combination. But in these times focusing on safety alone would get you nowhere, to be bold could be what brought this Imperium to its knees, slowly yet surely. Still he hoped that these Raiders had a good deal of patience to blend into their mix. "You are right, Admiral. And the fate of the Rendili is one the rest of us can empathize with." She had said there was no need to go so far as the galaxy as whole, but much as the Legacy of Rendili had been swept away, so had the good fortune of planets such as Bakura. "I will determine our exact needs and draw up a list for your factories by the end of the night. The budget will have to be approved by congress I know that they will see my logic.

"And as for your surveillance post... That will be harder to get through congress so I'll have to set a couple of guidelines for such an opportunity. First of all, the Raider's maintaining the post are to work hand in hand with Bakura Security Forces. I want a certain amount of transparency; anything that happens at the base, all information that goes through, I want to see it personally. Perhaps as our relationship grows I can allow more space, but before then I need to know that the agenda of the Raiders lines up with the best interests of my people."

Camellia merely nodded in thanks in response to that answer. "Honestly Chairman I wasn't looking for more than that. I just wanted to put some men in a room and help keep an eye on trouble spots. If anything pops up the Raiders will move to handle the problem if your permission is granted or you ask for aid. Besides that there was little else beyond convincing you to purchase more ships from our world. Was there anything else you wanted to discuss yourself though? If not we can conclude this and work into the organizing of the sales and setup."

The chairman smiled, his pearly whites strengthening the magnitude of his amiability. "Fair enough, Admiral Swift. Well, that was to the point, was it not?" The man chuckled lightly. "If there is no other business..." He then rose to his feet, and began to lead the way back to the door as it slid upwards and open. "I'd invite you two to stay the night, but your corvette looked as inviting as any accomodations I can offer you here. In any case, I imagine you have pressing matters to attend to yourselves."

The guards outside the doorway formed around the chairman as he lead the way from the room and back towards the shuttle. "I'll have a list drawn up for you by the end of the evening, you can expect it in your holo-mail."
