DESCRIPTION​

Seinar Systems created the Star Courier to be the fastest civilian transport on the market. They did not cut any corners with the engines. The Star Courier definitely succeeded in its purpose. However, it does give up any combat potential. To make it faster, they didn't include any shield, physical or energy. And there's not enough power left over to support any weapons.

After the Star Courier was released, it was an instant hot. People loved the speed it offered. It was popular enough that Seinar Systems made a variation, the CR-1925 Armed Star Courier, an armed (and expensive), but slightly slower ship.

LEGALITY​

The CR-1900 Star Courier is legal in basically every system, because of its no armament and relatively small size.

INTENT​

I created this to make a courier type craft that you can start with. Almost all of the ships that you can start off with are light freighters. I was looking for a starter ship that was more for transport than for freighting, but there were none. So I decided to make one. When I found the Armed Star Courier, I decided to take away the weapons to make it not advanced.

NO. These are out on the open market, and do not cost prohibitively much.

@fasteagle190 shave down the sunlight speed slightly and bump the hyperdrive dating one or two notches. The other courier you linked is already fairly lightly armed, so losing a little bit of guns doesnt quiet make the cut for non-advanced status a think.
