Cradle of Enlightenment
robotic_surgery_table.jpg

Description: this machine consists of two parts the first is a metal table with restraints. The second part is a metal tower which raises over the table and ends in three smalle metallic arms which are equipped with galvanized nails and connected to a power source.

The power consists of an energy cell with wires connected to a computerized switch which has additional wires connecting directly. to the nails themselves. It is also connected to a control module inside the machine, which also moves the arms. This allows the machine to function as intended.

The energy cell is rechargeable and is built to contain enough energy for fourteen hours of cosecutive use. The entire machine is connect to an exterior solar powered generator able to hold twice as much powers the energy cell. This allows the chair to be used for up to 24 hours without needing to recharge.

Usage and Operation: The base of the metal tower is computerised and has controls which can be used to control each arm individually. Each robotic arm is designed to be able to access a different portion of the victims body. In addition to being able to be controlled individually, the tower can also be star to an number of pre-programmed patterns.

While the machine is designed to work through the delivery of electric shock, it also has a power saving mode. When the machine is operated in this mode, the electronic function of the nails is disabled. The arms retain their movement function, but the range is intended be limited in this mode. While in this mode the nails are intended to be capable of piercing the victim's torso and upper legs.

Creation, Intent, and Ownership: The machine was built by the Void Serpent leader of the Unchained, Markus (@Tray Tor) and his crew. It's construction was financed by Arsolyn MehYahm (@Vinn Esper) the finance comes her family's fund. Arsolyn had a vision during the battle of Zakuul. She believes the Will has dictated that the church itself is to become. This machine is the initial manifestation of the Will. It was initially created to tame the slaves Arsolyn intends to use to build her head quarters on the grounds of Zakuul.

Though Arsolyn had it created for the purpose of building her base, she realizes it's potential for use within the religious practices of her following. She is planning on making extensive use of the chair in religious ceremonies of the future.

I don't think I'll be signing up for any "enlightenment" any time soon. This sounds like the definition of a bad time. Would absolutely ruin your entire day and probably several days or weeks thereafter. XD

Hi. I'm actually the one that designed this. I primarily designed this to be a part of my character Arsolyn's story. I secondarily designed it to be a faction asset since Arsolyn leads the religion that guides the factions belief. It is meant to be a torture device it works by applying electricity selectively to any area of the victims body. I'm sure you can imagine how this would be more effective then just shocking the sake area over and over.

The relevance of the story is that Arsolyn runs a church. Her church is all about emphasizing obedience and glorifies sacrifice. She wants to use it as a tool that represents the ideals of her religion as she breaks the captured slaves of Zakuul and forces them to build her church.
