Daalang fell along the lines of a hyperspace route between ISC and Hutt space. One of the friendlier planets for spacers to seek starship services in the sector, but it was still very much on the frontiers. Pirates had been taking advantage of ships coming in for repairs lately, but the rumor was that someone had shot them down recently.
Rix had found that pirates oftentimes wouldn’t have the tools to salvage the husks of ships left in their wake. They’d often pick the most lucrative parts by weight and leave the rest for the scavs. That’s why he was here.
His day was going well. He’d found the nose of a starfighter floating through space and the forward clamps of his ship held them in their clutches. Due to the damages he wasn’t sure what sort of fighter it was, but it was a good chunk of durasteel.
LE-90 sat next to Rix in the cockpit, piloting the ship while he watched holonet news. The droid chimed over the sound of news. “We will arrive in Daalang’s orbit in two hours.”
“Easy day!” Rix said, leaning back. Things rarely went off without a hitch for him, so he was riding a high as he counted the credits in his head.
