As Saryn Karoth climbed into his starship for the long journey into the Unknown Regions, he couldn't help but feel a little trepidacious. He was diving headlong into a dangerous situation, fighting an unknown enemy with unknown allies. He took a deep breath, started up his ship, and rocketed into the sky. The cult he and his team were after wouldn't be easy to track down, and even when they were found, he had no idea as to their numbers or strength.

Several days later, The Acolyte neared Ilum, the small ice ball he had been instructed to investigate. The Zabrak had never been to the Unknown Regions, let alone to Ilum, so he wasn't sure what to expect. He knew from what he had read of the small planet thhat there were caves filled with lightsaber crystals. He also knew from the mission description that there was at least some civilzation on the frigid planet, and that was a good enough place to start as any. He pulled the ship around for a landing at the port and climbed out, stretching wide and yawning. He would wait for his comrades before continuing with the mission. He had hidden his lightsaber somewhere on his person, as he knew the effect that Force-users had on some. He leaned on his ship and scaned the area.

The girl was wearing a large coat to keep her warm on the frigid planet of Ilum. Under it, she had her normal combat gear. Talana had been assigned an indefinite mission to take down a cult somewhere on Ilum. She had the accompaniment of a Sith and of an unknown acquaintance.

Slowly but surely, her shipped slowed as it entered the atmosphere. Grabbing her gun, the girl set the ship to autopilot and proceeded towards the hatch. It slowly lowered, with the girl grabbing a parachute on her way out. With a quick leap, the Chiss skydived towards the frozen earth.

Pressing a button on her shoes, a snow discus spread out from her shoes, then she yanked open her parachute. A few seconds from the ground, the girl slipped out of the chute and plummeted a good 12 feet before sliding down the slope in search of her comrades.

The dropship exited hyperspace and floated above the ice planet, Ilum. James waited until he was in the trajectory range of the target and readied his equipment: an assault rifle, cold weather and land navigation gear, a small comlink, and a vibrosword. Suddenly, the signal flashed red and it was time to go. James pushed the button and he dropped from the dropship and his pod sped towards the planet. A loud crack, he entered the atmosphere, and he pressed another button that extended like arms to slow the pod down. Slowly, the hydraulic arms extended and slowed the pod down to a survivable velocity, then they broke off. The pod kept speeding towards the ice and finally the interior cushions inflated and suspended James' breathing hit the ground, hard. The cushions deflated and the door opened, allowing James to step outside and he put on his cold weather survival gear and pushed another button on the exterior and walked towards the flashing dots on his navigation system. Finally, the drop pod exploded and above the planet, the dropship re-entered hyperspace to wait for the next command. James found his teammates waiting for him, one was a zabrak and the other was a female, which was really hard to distinguish either one of them from the water snow. To avoid blindness, James activated his visor and the white snow tinted, he was now ready.

"Lieutenant James reporting as ordered."

Saryn Karoth watched as his two companions gathered around him, shoulders slouched, arms crossed across his chest, trying to keep warm. He had underestimated just how cold the planet would be. He drew his hood over his horned head. He regarded the two and nodded in greeting. "Shall we get started? We need to ascertain where this 'cult' is based." He turned to the city and began to walk, they would need information, and the best place to come by that was a cantina.

As the three members of the team walked towards the city the villagers turned towards them. Some spoke into comlinks unsure of what was happening. Then they paid close attention to the leader. He had a zabrak-like appearance. The female was a chiss. What the group could not have noticed, except mabey the zabrak, was that there were members of a new cult sculking in the shadows, not wishing to be seen by the travelers.

Gixan Osk sat in a cantina keeping a close watch on the bartender. He knew someone was comming to ask about the religion he had joined soon after it arose. Osk was now an observer and an intelligence reporter for this group.

The bartender did his work. He had spent all day getting drinks and sending droids to take drinks to the customers. The bartender did not always enjoy his job, but today was a good day. No fights had happened and no one had bothered him for information so far.

James followed the pair into a cantina, which is surprising because Ilum is an isolated ice-world, James would never want to live here; which is why he was reluctant to come on this assignment. But he waited for the two to enter first, he waited five minutes and then went inside, giving the appearance of a meeting between the trio. He ordered a cup of Galactic Java and waited for the others to start talking.
